Our favorites in WoW patch 12.1 (so far) 14.08.2026 1ч 8минOur favorite things about World of Warcraft patch 12.1 are mostly related to Player Housing, if we're being for real. There are other things to look forward to — raids, delves, quests, and maybe lore if you're into that kind of thing — but yeah, we're mulling over a name change to HousingWatch. But the patch is still new, so that could change. Probably won't, but it could. We're also excited that D.Mon is coming to Overwatch. Another character that's been on everyone's wishlist for years, D.Mon also has a lot of story associated with her, including a few new lore drops. Our cohosts are optimistic about what this means for Overwatch and the lore going forward. But, hold that thought, because the next news item is about the Microsoft management. Or at least, don't take a big swig of water here.If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Player Housing makes us want to dye 07.08.2026 1ч 5минThere have been few hopes dashed harder than when Matt looked at our topics and thought for a brief, shining moment that maybe dyes were coming to transmog, and not just staying in Player Housing. But no, it's just for Player Housing, and there have been some changes to dyes as we head into patch 12.1 next week. Because we livestream the recording every week, and Liz has been playing WoW our guest host for this week Six took us on a quick tour of his apparently bonkers Housing creation, and we talked about some of the incredible looks you can get with creative item combinations. (And if you like streaming, Liz has been streaming indie games on Twitch, and you can catch the videos on YouTube if you miss the livestream.)And speaking of streaming, we have confirmation this week that BlizzCon will be livestreamed for free. And speaking of things being announced, did you hear there's going to be a new World of Warcraft adventure for Dungeons & Dragons? Pretty wild they announced that with about a month to go til BlizzCon. Makes me kind of excited to see what will be unveiled during the big show.Oh, and this is proof that if you send us some questions for the podcast, we will answer them! Eventually! If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. WoW patch 12.1 release date, good. M+ cheating and spoilers, bad. 31.07.2026 1ч 5минThis week's podcast kicked off with the discussion that has been pinging around the World of Warcraft community this week: a GM cheating so a streamer could clear a M+23 dungeon on time. Though we all had Opinions on that one, we quickly forged ahead to happier topics, including the newly released launch date for patch 12.1 and season 2 of Midnight. That's right kids, it's time to grab your coat and move to the exits on season 1. We also issued a warning that spoilers for patch 12.1 are being datamined, even if in a slightly weird format that probably won't end up in the game. Then, we had the announcement of the BlizzCon digital bundles and a new Hearthstone Battlegrounds season to unwrap like a gift on Christmas morning. And speaking of unflagging optimism, Cory was our guest host this week, so it was time for another Heroes of the Storm Hopium Corner. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Hasta la vista, Decor Duels 24.07.2026 57минWe hope you got your fill of both the gameplay and the Player Housing rewards from Decor Duels, because they're going away in World of Warcraft patch 12.1. Well, you may be able to still get the decor, but not so much the transmog or mounts (at least according to the PTR). It was a fun little mode, but there was so much else going on we didn't get to play a ton, so we'll probably be investing some time in it before it goes away. And speaking of having no time and player housing, patch 12.1 brings us artisanal rooms, which are rooms that are essentially preset that you can just pop in to your player housing. Neat! This week's special guest Six helped us run down some stuff coming on the 12.1 PTR.But it's not all WoW. There are some changes in Diablo 4 worth a chat, and some Fallout news in the works with Bethesda's presser last week. Now if you'll excuse me, I am now contractually obligated to listen to Big Maybelle sing Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On.If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Snobby six month moth mount (and more WoW tonguetwisters) 17.07.2026 1ч 1минWe kick off this week's show talking about the new Corrosive items coming in WoW patch 12.1, and reminiscing about the good ol days when our buddies would stack insane amounts of Corruption in order to make healers contemplate a grippy sock vacation. Speaking of healers losing it, we have a few more weeks of Turbulent Timeways: we're up to Shadowlands, and your last chance to start stacking your buff for the icy protodrake mount. Also, Matt thinks that the new 6-month subscription bonus mount, the Sunflare Driftmoth, is secretly judging him. What a moth has to be snobby about is anybody's guess. There was a bit of Diablo discussion, as there were a few little events and a few hotfixes to discuss. We ended on a high note, talking about some of the runs we enjoyed from Summer Games Done Quick, which raised over $2.4 million for Doctors Without Borders. There were a few upcoming releases discussed. Just a couple weird lil guys Liz is looking forward to talking about next week. We'll see you then.If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Summer Games Done Quick and some depressing industry news 10.07.2026 1чThe new Zul'jan quest line just went live, so we're looking forward to World of Warcraft patch 12.1, which includes a new Player Housing exterior. Maybe. We hope. And we're not Monkey's Paw-ing this thing either, so don't act like we said it and that's why it's on the store. We already firmly rejected that possibility, so it is not on us if it goes down like that.Speaking of Monkey's Paws, Summer Games Done Quick is live, and Microsoft took that as a challenge, seeing if they could finish games as a whole really quickly by firing 20% of Xbox employees. This included closing many iconic game studios, some of which are going independent (again), and some being bought out by another party. There are some silver linings here, but it's a tough summer for people who make or enjoy games.A new Hearthstone expansion also released this week, so we have the lowdown on Escape from Violet Hold. It involves a jailbreak and Vanessa Van Cleef, so we're going out on a high note.If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. The Timeways are Turbulent and BlizzCon is closing in 03.07.2026 1ч 2минWe are jumping right in to Turbulent Timeways this week, which have returned until August. It's a great time to level an alt, before we roll into patch 12.1 and all its trolly goodness, though that's on the PTR now. There's a new Trading Post, which means lots of talk about transmog and its many endgame metas. The Darkspear Dash was the highlight of our week, but we wish there were more opportunities to have rainbow streamers on our feet at all times. Again, end game. This week we got the news that Le Sserafim are coming back to close out BlizzCon 2026. Which, by the way, is both happening, and is happening in like, two months. Yikes. We close it out with a few faves that are on sale for the Steam Summer Sale, and there are a lot (including Pacific Driveand The Long Dark, which they didn't mention on the show, but I write the summary so I do what I want). If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Move over void purple! WoW patch 12.1 is snakes green. 26.06.2026 1чDo you remember how last week we were talking about how voidy and purple the Midnight expansion has been? Well, hold on to your shorts, because patch 12.1 has been announced and it's acid green and snaky. We're shook, but especially Liz, who doesn't particularly enjoy snakes, and wishes there was a filter like arachnophobia mode, where all the snakes turned into crabs. There are so many new features announced already, from the new Lairs, which are sort of a new version of World Bosses, all the way to a WoW Discord integration, which we're a little skeptical is all that useful. Also not purple is the Midsummer Fire Festival, which has come to WoW until July. There are a ton of orange rewards to collect, including a very hot new mount. There are also new seasons coming soon to Diablos 3 and 4, and for Diablo 4 this includes a collab with Overwatch, bringing some of those hero skins into Sanctuary. This is just making me wonder when we'll get that Raynor skin for Druids. Or do Druids seem more like Tychus? If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Void Squabbles, Void Conflicts, Void Rap Battles, and more! 19.06.2026 56минIf you thought the purplest expansion couldn't get purpler, patch 12.0.7 of World of Warcraft proves us all wrong with yet another Void-themed event. When do all these void shenanigans end? Well, we'll keep doing them, as long as transmog is on the line -- and it is! I hope you like yours purple, and I hope you didn't blow all your Marl on the previous sets of purple Void transmog. You did? Ah, pity. There's also a surfboard mount, if you're into other sorts of serious end game activities. Then, the cohosts muse on what's next for WoW Classic. We're not saying they're doing the whole historically accurate Siege of Orgrimmar 18 month tier, but we are wondering when we'll hear what happens next.If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Blizzard news and Summer Game Fest clip show 12.06.2026 1ч 4минWe start off this week's podcast talking about a few upcoming things we've already sort of discussed -- WoW patch 12.0.7 is coming next week, as is the next season of Overwatch. We have a few gripes on how the Overwatch story is being delivered, but next season looks okay. We're much more enthusiastic about the stuff coming for Diablo. And then things get wild, when we start discussing Summer Game Fest, and all the new titles we're excited to see, ranging from the headline blockbusters all the way down to little murder mysteries that might not actually be murder mysteries.Plus, speaking of murders, Destiny 2 just got its final patch. RIP, too pure for this world. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Currency changes and gaming announcements 05.06.2026 1ч 5минBecause of the Blizzard Watch Site Curse, the day after we recorded the podcast, the release date for patch 12.0.7 was announced, because that's just how that works. It's June 16, and you're welcome. That also comes with changes to gear repair costs, which we talked about a bit last week, but Joe has a hot take that goes a step further. It's a new month, so that means a new round of FOMO transmog. This time it's Tauren edition. There was a new Hearthstone expansion announced, featuring Vanessa VanCleef, Escape from Violet Hold. A new Hearthstone expansion announcement also means the Battlegrounds mid-season shakeup, and another weird Darkmoon Faire gatcha game pet. Luckily, this time it's Cute Thun, a horrifying take on C'thun all our podcasters think is too creepy to be cute, even weird offbeat kinda cute. It's also a good time for Diablo fans, with things like solo self-found and Obol cap changes. And it's a good time for all gaming fans, because Summer Game Fest is imminent, and we've already had several announcements that have us truly excited.Plus, Cory has a soundbite idea that should make everyone happy. Sort of.If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Time marches toward WoW patch 12.0.7 (and new transmog) 29.05.2026 1ч 9минWe start off this week's show with a shoutout to much of the Wowhead content team, who were laid off from ZAM. We have a lot of fond memories with them, not to mention their indispensable coverage over the years, and our hosts expressed a bit of consternation at what this move means in a meta sense. But, the show must go on, and time marches on, including the new Sporefall raid we'll be seeing in WoW patch 12.0.7, and new Timewalking rewards, both of which includes lot of neat transmog. We're also chatting Diablo 4 and its weirdly short events, including an upcoming event to celebrate Diablo 4's third anniversary. It starts June 2 and lasts just a week like all the others, but at least this time we have enough advance notice to tell you about it on the podcast. It includes a lot of Treasure Goblins and killing of said Treasure Goblins, so it being so short is definitely a big downer. But not as much of a downer as some of the current builds they've discussed, which can crash the game with the sheer number of minions our cohosts are packing.Plus, we bid Destiny 2 adieu, which our cohosts at least briefly tried, because it was on the Battle.net launcher for a while. Time marches forward. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Good riddance, Midnight crest caps! 22.05.2026 1чThis week we tell Crest Caps to rest in pieces as Blizzard lifts them a bit early in this opening section of Midnight. Joe gets salacious about addons and new functionality on the PTR. We all hope the Siege of Orgrimmar doesn't last as long as it originally did on any iteration of Classic. Matt throws a bit of a statistical wrench in the works, saying several other raid tiers were actually longer — but it sure didn't feel that way.And next seasonal rollover of Diablo 4 is at the end of June, so you have that long to decide whether you want to purchase all those cool tier 2 World of Warcraft crossover transmogs. Also, we're all laughing at the Krafton CEO, thinking he could get out of paying bonuses for Subnautica 2 by asking ChatGPT. Anyway, the game sold 2 million copies in 12 hours so they're definitely going to be out a ton of cash. Literally couldn't have happened to a better person. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Ascendant Voidcores, Guardian Druids, and more bug fixes 15.05.2026 1ч 16минBecause Cory has the courage to say that, quote, "bugs are bad. I'm glad they got fixed," that is the theme of this week's Blizzard Watch Podcast. Well, not all of them are really bugs -- is it a bug that five Guardian Druids did an M +20? Well, that bug was fixed. And the bug with Ascendant Voidcores was fixed, and players can use them to upgrade their gear. We had a lengthy discussion on the future of Diablo 4, which is necessarily going to touch on some bugs, even if we try our best to avoid spoilers. Also, there was a list of bug fixes and other changes for Heroes of the Storm this week, so it's a good thing Cory's here. But elevators? There's no fixing the bugs with those bosses. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Microtransactions, and other cruel gaming indignities 08.05.2026 1ч 5минWe're speculating on WoW patch 12.0.7 and beyond, now that the preview for said patch has been released. That leads us to a certain ominous island off the coast of Zul'Aman that we're not allowed to touch yet, plus all the other little details that lead us to guest host Phil Ulrich's favorite thing ever: Troll Raid. But other than that, it's all cosmetics and microtransactions. There are gorgeous new, dyeable WoW crossover appearances in Diablo 4, treehouses for WoW Player Housing, and another of those gatchas we hate in Hearthstone, all for actual cash folding money. But at least we have the glorious Trading Post and all its free hats and mounts to keep us just the tiniest bit happy in this capitalist hellscape.Speaking of hellscapes, The Cow Level is real and it is just as awful to find in Diablo 4 as you probably expect. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, and other junk we have to talk about 01.05.2026 1ч 6минThis week, Matt, Joe, Liz, and our special guest host Six, are all waiting patiently to talk about Lord of Hatred, the new expansion for Diablo 4 which came out earlier this week. So they'll talk a little bit about World of Warcraft patch 12.0.5 first, kind of like the concept of "eating the frog," where you do the gross thing first to get it out of the way as fast as possible. Patch 12.0.5 probably wasn't that bad -- probably -- but it did have its grossness, with so many bugs that Blizzard apologized in a blog post, and Senior Game Designer Paul Kubit went on our bestie Evitel and some other dude's podcast and did damage control. Oh, and Hearthstone announced a thing. Class minisets, or whatever. But then, they got to talk about Lord of Hatred and oh boy are they excited about it. They thought a lot of the changes revolutionized how the game feels and plays -- maybe not all the way up to a Reaper of Souls for how it made Diablo 3suddenly a classic, but it's close. Skill trees, charms, bears -- and no story spoilers, even though Joe already got spoiled on it.If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred waiting room 24.04.2026 1ч 1минLiz Patt joins Liz Harper in lifting the embargo on the upcoming Diablo 4 expansion Lord of Hatred. From discussions on balance and the weirdly enchanting land of Skovos to an extended discussion on how fishing (yes, fishing) works, Liz and Liz give us a rundown from their hands-on view of the upcoming expansion. Spoiler: They both quite enjoyed their time there, even if they're both a bit miffed at not getting to play Amazons.Plus, World of Warcraft just released a new little content patch, which includes Decor Duels but doesn't include Player Housing, which was briefly disabled. It's back up now, but it gave all of us a little bit of a panic attack. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Decor Duel, fishing, and transmog: The real World of Warcraft end game 17.04.2026 1ч 6минThis week our hosts mostly focused on everything that's coming soon in WoW and a few other games. Patch 12.0.5 got a release date -- April 21 -- so our cohosts discussed all the stuff coming up in that patch, from Decor Duel to fishing to transmog. All the endgame activities. But WoW isn't the only game with endgame -- there was a new (expensive!) cosmetic gatcha pet in Hearthstone. As always, the first one is free.Plus, a new season and Hero came to Overwatch. Sierra is still not dodging the charges that she's Dollar Store Cammy. In fact, her backstory just makes her seem more like Dollar Store Cammy. Joe is a little irked about it!Cory was cohosting, so there was another edition of Cory's Heroes of the Storm Copium Corner. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Happy Easter L'ura, and more Race to World First discussion 10.04.2026 1ч 5минWe're all about Easter, with both the Noblegarden festival and the Race to World First this week. Liz starts off recounting the epic Race to World First, which started off a little ho hum with a split tier, but took a few wild turns toward the end. Then, we talk Noblegarden, and Joe and Matt wondered whether Liz needed an intervention because she isn't excited about this year's transmog offerings. But Liz had a lot of heavy lifting to do this week, with both a new HearthstoneBattlegrounds season and a new Overwatch hero announced. But admittedly, nothing is as cute as Jeff the Land Shark. The side quests of Quel'Danas 03.04.2026 1ч 8минAs we begin the March of Quel'Danas this week, we also noted that there seems to be a whole lot of side quests to set the stage for the new raid and its counterpart in Harandar, The Dreamrift. There are also a slew of campaign quests paced in time with the raids, so we discuss how that pacing has felt. But it's not all lore around here -- there's also a new set of transmog and mounts for the April Trading Post, plus Noblegarden is next week, so you get a crack at another color of baby duck. And this time the transmog is also IRL, sort of.
