But they were watching and they follow Janet to Robbie Robertson's place and they capture the recovering Ben ReillySilvermane forces Ben to contact the Spider, with Robbie posing as him, and orders the antidote brought to the Alcove bar. After Dirk Leyden recognizes Ben from the war, Silvermane realizes Ben is the Spider and threatens Cat to make him confess. To protect Ben, Cat reveals she is the one who betrayed Silvermane. Before Silvermane can kill her, Robbie arrives dressed as the Spider. Thinking he's The Spider, Megawatt injects Robbie with the cure and electrocutes him, then tries to persuade Flint Marko to help overthrow Silvermane. Ben regains use of his webbing and fights the two powerful fighters, while Cat tracks down and kills Silvermane. Sandman turns on Leyden after he attacks Cat. He instructs Megawatt and Flint Marko to attack Morris' campaign office and steal his money as Lonnie retrieves Silvermane's confiscated booze from the police.In an early house in the city Ben drowns his sorrows over Cat's betrayal and beats up a group of dock workers who criticised the aging Spider. After some encouragement from Robbie to help the other meta humans, Ben prepares doses of the antidote to cure all of them and plans to use it on himself afterwards. As the Spider struggles against Lincoln and the corrupt police officers due to previously overusing his webbing at the bar fight, Robbie manages to inject the cure in Lincoln through his eye and the two help him evade the police officers. While Ben recovers from the fight, Lincoln thanks the two for helping him, encourages Robbie to find another way to report outside of the Daily Bugle, and leaves the city with his mother. Both Silvermane and Morris find out that Tombstone has been cured. When Ben refuses to cooperate, he drugs him to forcibly bring him to Faber's lab. Dr. Faber reveals that Ogden is her son and she's determined to find a cure for the metahumans to help him. While the blood tests on Ben reveal nothing of note Dr Faber begins examining Ben's organs. During her operation, Ben has nightmares about the procedures and changes he endured after the spider bite. After analysing the samples from Ben’s liver Dr. Faber is able to develop a cure and restores Ogden to his true age. She plans to kill Ben so they can cover their tracks, now that Robbie’s article has been published, but Ogden allows him to escape to repay his services. Meanwhile Silvermane and his men invade the facility to find more metahumans to join their ranks. After seeing other mutated soldiers that Faber failed to save and getting shot at by Ogden, Dirk Leyden kills Faber and Ogden. She reasoned that the club boss wouldn't let her live a happy life with Flint Marko after Silvermane murdered her first fiancé. But Flint is listening in to their discussion and, seeing them almost kiss, he feels betrayed and decides to return to work for Silvermane.As his first job Silvermane uses Marko to intimidate Morris into backing off on his campaign ending Prohibition.Meanwhile Robbie and Janet interview Lonnie Lincoln at the office. After careful investigation they learn the powers he, Addison and Marko have, come from experimentation on them when they were prisoners of war. He doesn't know much detail but directs them to Dr Faber who has been helping them.Ben and Cat spend the night at his place, where he reveals that his fiance Ruby died from a criminal he caught seeking revenge. They both leave separately after hearing a metahuman is attacking the Diamond District. Both believe it's Flint Marko.But the metahuman is a criminal with the ability to absorb and release electricity. Ben arrives in his costume as the Spider and eventually defeats him by shutting off the power in the area to prevent him from storing any more electricity. Once defeated, Mayor Morris uses The Spider's victory to boost his reelection campaign. Later that night, after observing the battle in the Diamond District, Cat returns to Ben's apartment and deduces that he is the Spider. Ben’s first port of call is to the hospital to investigate the officers injured in the sting operation. He finds out that the information came directly from Mayor Morris. Meanwhile Robbie Robertson goes to question Lonnie Lincoln about his connection to Flint Marko and Jimmy Addison. But their poor neighborhood is raided also under orders from Mayor MorrisIn order to protect the people of the neighbourhood Flint Marko and Lonnie Lincoln use their powers against the cops. Robbie takes photos of the police attack and the powered individual. He tries to sell the story to his former editor, Howard Walters, at the Daily Bugle. He buys the story but has it rewritten to be sympathetic to the police instead of what are now dubbed “Monsters”. As they continue their investigation, Janet discovers Addison, Lincoln and Marko were former prisoners of war and Ben also finds out Carmedy lied about being Cat's husband to gather evidence on the Mayor and what he thought was his mistress Cat Hardy. Ben realises it must have been Cat that hired Addison to burn down Silvermane's mansion as she also set up the meeting with the Mayor. Flint Marko briefly considers escaping to live a new life with Cat Hardy, but abandons the idea due to his symptoms worsening further. Cat still tries to leave but Ben confronts her at Penn Station, before Winston captures them. But Ben was playing the long game as he worked for Silvermane. He frames Winston by using marked bills from Silvermane to pay off Vera Addison for her silence. He discovers that Sandman Marko and Flameman Addison were former World War I soldiers in France. He also discovers that both worked as enforcers for The Big Boss Silvermane.When pressed by Ben for the connection, Cat admits Silvermane owns the Alcove and says she has personal reasons for searching for Flint Marko unconnected to the club owner.Ben's journalist friend Robbie Robertson follows up on his leads and interviews James Addison's widow and learns she has been spending the money Addison earned from burning down Silvermane's mansion on a luxurious lifestyle, but he gets no leads on who hired Addison for the Silvermane job.Meanwhile, Marko's condition has worsened as his skin has remained the texture of sand. He corroborates the testimony and gets the case dismissed since the entire programme from the Anti-Vigilante Task Force, to the safer streets act, to the court itself was set up to divert attention from the criminal Wilson Fisk. Outside the courtroom Bullseye foils Mayor Fisk’s backup plan by stopping the AVTF officers from assassinating Murdock. Instead Bullseye takes a shot at Fisk, but hits Buck Cashman. The attack prompts Fisk to lock down the courthouse. With his AVTF standing guard, Daredevil's supporters surround the building, encouraged by BB Urich to rise up in memory of all their friends and neighbours lost to the AVTF and Fisk’s laws so far.As the threats from Officer Powell escalate, Cole North finally turns on him as he becomes disillusioned with his orders to kill retired detective Cherry. He lets the resistance into the courthouse as the Attorney General of New York state offers Fisk a deal to avoid charges. But, unwilling to step down, Wilson Fisk attacks and kills numerous protestors.Eventually Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Angela DelToro fight their way through the AVTF officers until they reach Fisk. Matt eventually convinces Fisk to take the deal.In the aftermath, Fisk leaves New York, the AVTF officers are arrested, Heather Glenn continues to spiral as she puts on Muse's mask and Jessica Jones reunites with Luke Cage, as Bullseye has replaced him in Mr. Charles's service. When her surgeon tries to empathise and comfort the mayor, he uses his immense strength to kill the man who didn’t save her. Furious that the vigilantes are still on the loose, Fisk lets his Anti-Vigilante Task Force move Mr. Charles's weapons to their own warehouse for their use on the streets of New York. An angry Mr. Charles offers his services to Governor McCaffrey to help Mayor Fisk from office. Mr. Charles also sends men to attack Jessica Jones, a super-powered investigator who turned down an offer to work for him. Jessica easily overpowers them, protecting her daughter Danielle, and goes to the AVTF warehouse with Daredevil to destroy their stolen weapons. At the funeral for Vanessa, Buck Cashman tells Daniel Blake to feed BB Urich false information to test her loyalty and encourages Heather Glenn to imitate Muse's actions to free herself from the trauma his attack has had on her. Meanwhile, back at their hideout Karen Page nearly murders Bullseye but is stopped by Matt Murdock. They argue, with Karen believing they have not only the right but the obligation to murder both Fisk and Bullseye because of what they have done. BB decides not to leak the information and almost kisses Daniel, but he confronts her about the previous leaks and reveals that he knows she’s connected to the City Without Fear broadcasts. Back in New York Karen Page joins a protest outside City Hall and shares the testimonies from the Red Hook prisoners onto the building urging them to Resist and Revolt. Matt Murdock visits Wilson Fisk at his own hideout and suggests they both leave New York to have peace, but Fisk refuses and they fight. Murdock wins but a broken Fisk asks what he will do, he can't arrest him and he WILL not kill him. During the protest, lead officer Powell kills young AVTF agent Saunders, who he had suspected of feeding information to Daredevil, and blames vigilantes. While waiting he draws out Wilson Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante Task Force by pretending Frank Castle is attacking the patrons of the diner.When they arrive Poindexter wastes no time in executing all of them with everything at his disposal from cutlery to toothpicks. Having sent his message to Mayor Fisk he returns to his apartment.Meanwhile, in another hidden location, Karen Page films the testimony of the 19 escaped prisoners who now form part of the resistance. Jacques Duquanes takes his leave to return uptown leaving access to his considerable bank account to fund the rebels. As he leaves Christofi, the Cypriot first mate of Fisk’s sunken ship, arrives and shares everything he knows about the illegal weapons transport. Including the fact it was all signed off by Vasillas tou Enklimatos, a Greek name meaning Crime Lord. While being taken into protective custody by the US Marshalls, Buck Cashman arrives shooting and killing Christofi and his protection.After learning of Bullseye’s attack at the Bel-Air diner, Matt suits up as a member of the AVTF and investigates the scene. He tracks a coin on the scene to his old church, Our Lady of Grace and after speaking to the seminary priest he locates Benjamin Poindexter’s apartment. They fight there but Dex escapes with a well placed can fired at a biker’s head.In Fogwell’s Gym in Hell’s Kitchen, Mayor Wilson Fisk is readying himself for his three round boxing match against Mike ‘The Matterhorn’ Melendez. Hoping the fight will draw out Bullseye and Daredevil, Fisk sends Vanessa away to meet the Governor in Albany to keep her safe. But as soon as her business is complete she returns to her husband’s side. As Bullseye throws a glass statue at Fisk to kill him it is smashed and a shard embeds itself in Vanessa. But she got a shot off on Poindexter. The agent provides him access to the port at Red Hook and using Kristen McDuffie’s directions Daredevil finds his way inside the hidden facility.But instead of getting Fisk’s illegal weapons, Matt chooses to free the prisoners fighting side by side with Jacques Duquesne to get everyone out. Daredevil watches on wondering why Bullseye intervened and what his message could have meant. Meanwhile Benjamin Poindexter visits Matt’s old church looking for Matt’s mother, Sister Maggie. But unable to find her he looks for absolution.Fisk continues to train for his upcoming boxing match but when Buck Cashman relays the news of the dead AVTF agents and Poindexter’s help, Fisk violently takes his frustration out on his trainer.As tensions on the street escalate a simple misunderstanding leads to Angela Del Toro’s aunt Soledad’s arrest. Angela goes to Kristen McDuffie to find help but instead finds her uncle Hector’s White Tiger costume.Matt and Karen want to prove that Fisk was smuggling guns and need to find the First Mate from the ship that was sunk in the East River. But before they can reach their contact Fisk comes up with a plan to locate his enemy. He sends the city out looking for Matt Murdock, the hero who saved him. As they see Fisk’s minions remove the weapons from the wreckage Matt resolves to go to Red Hook himself before their chance is lost.With a warning from Fisk, Daniel is Concerned that BB might be using him to get access to secure files, he confronts her and warns her to stop or she won’t be safe. But BB doubles down and puts out another underground video of Mayor Fisk.When two more of the AVTF are killed by Poindexter, more agents are sent to the hospital to try to finish the job on Cherry, but he outsmarts them and goes into hiding. They finally catch up with Matt and Karen at Josie’s. Daredevil is overwhelmed by the violent task force members as he gets distracted by Cherry’s stress induced heart problems. But, after the team learn his true identity they are executed by an unlikely ally. He instinctively phones his mum to tell her he loves her.But Trevor Slattery calls him to apologise and says he has a solution: He revives his Mandarin persona and publicly claims responsibility for the explosion. No one ever saw that coming.Agent Cleary knows that Trevor is just taking the blame for Simon, but goes along with it because the DODC needs more prisoners to justify their expensive Yucca Valley, California prison. Following Trevor's arrest, Director Von Kovak insists they continue filming and tells Simon to use Trevor's betrayal for the scene where Wonder Man is betrayed by Barnaby. Wonder Man is finished with Joe Pantoliano taking over the role of Barnaby and the film is a huge success. At the premiere, his clearly delighted brother Eric tells Simon he’s proud of him. Meanwhile, Janelle tells Simon that he now has his pick of roles for his next project. With his new found fame Simon decides to shadow a DODC guard, Chuck Eastman, who hates his job, under the guise of making a new film.
