  In 1989, Jean Napier-Hattingh hung mid-water off a reef 20km out from the Mozambique coast with a 1 metre speargun and shot a dogtooth tuna the same size as she was. It dragged her until her mask and snorkel came off. They had to cut it into four pieces to weigh it on a 20kg scale. It was 52 kilos — a men's world record she had no idea she'd broken, and a women's international bluewater record that still stands today.
