Host Ekonkar grew up in Surrey, British Columbia, in a traditional Sikh household and examines the Punjabi Sikh diaspora from both insider and outsider perspectives. With a UBC degree in Art History and Philosophy and a background in Classical and South Asian Studies, he brings an academic lens to topics such as Sikh identity, diaspora struggles, music, politics, and history. The show uses provocative titles and outspoken opinions to challenge assumptions, question traditions, and encourage critical reflection on culture in the modern world.
