  • A Prayer-full Life 18.09.2026 40min
Prayer shows our dependence on God. From the Lord’s Prayer there are multiple lessons we learn and when we look at the lives of different characters in the Bible we see dependence on God through their prayer life. We are to prioritize prayer in all seasons of our lives. In this episode we explore what it truly means to live a prayer-filled life— not simply as a religious routine, but as a meaningful and growing relationship with God. We reflect on the place of prayer in our walk with God, what to do when prayers seem unanswered and how prayer sustains us through difficult seasons of waiting, uncertainty and testing. • Demons and Reformed Theology 11.09.2026 48min
Demons are generally understood as malevolent supernatural entities, often depicted as spirits that act against human well-being. Various religions and cultures have their own versions and beliefs on demonic spirits. Is it all fiction? What does the bible have to say about these supernatural entities and how should we view them? • Showing Affection: A Biblical Perspective 04.09.2026 58min
In Zambia, we are often known for being warm, generous, and community-oriented people. We show up for funerals, weddings, illnesses, and times of need. We sacrifice for family members, help our friends, and care for our communities. Yet many of us grew up in homes where words like "I love you" were rarely spoken. Parents showed love through provision and discipline. Friends showed love through loyalty. Married couples often kept affection private and reserved. This raises an important question: Is this simply a cultural difference in expressing love, or is there something Scripture calls us to do that we may be neglecting? Does God intend for love to be shown only through actions, or also through words? And how can Christians honor their culture while remaining faithful to biblical teaching? • Being a Good Samaritan in a Cunning and Sinful World 21.08.2026 55min
Jesus calls His people to love their neighbours sacrificially, yet we live in a world marked by deception, selfishness, exploitation, and brokenness. How do Christians remain compassionate without becoming gullible? How do we show mercy while exercising wisdom? In this episode, we explore the biblical balance between a heart that is willing to help and a mind that is discerning, learning what it means to be both "innocent as doves and wise as serpents" in a fallen world. • When Do I Lift My Fist? Strength, Self Defense, Justice, and Christian Witness 14.08.2026 1h 6min
Christians are called to be people of peace, gentleness, forgiveness, and self control. Yet we also live in a fallen world filled with danger, injustice, violence, abuse, and moments where protection may become necessary. So where is the line between courage and aggression? Between defending and retaliating? Between righteous protection and sinful anger? Should a Christian always “turn the other cheek”? Is self defence biblical? What about protecting family, confronting evil, or stepping into danger on behalf of someone vulnerable? In this episode, we wrestle with the difficult tension between strength and restraint, asking what it means to reflect Christ faithfully in moments of conflict, threat, and confrontation. • Coram Deo: What is Evangelism? 07.08.2026 39min
Evangelism is often reduced to a specific activity such as street preaching, door to door outreach, or large crusades. While these are valid expressions of witness, Scripture presents evangelism more broadly as the faithful making known of Christ through both word and life. Every believer is called to live before God in such a way that Christ is seen, spoken of, and proclaimed wherever He has placed them. • 36000 Divorces: Why are people so unhappy? 31.07.2026 49min
In today's episode, we take a deep and honest look at why so many marriages are falling apart. With rising divorce rates and increasing dissatisfaction in relationships, we ask the hard question: Why are people so unhappy in marriage? More importantly, how can we prevent them before and during marriage? • Physical Beauty: It's use and Standard 24.07.2026 34min
Few things shape our daily lives as quietly—and as powerfully—as our ideas of physical beauty. Beauty influences attraction, self-worth, advertising, social media, and even how we perceive our standing before others. Physical beauty is a gift: A free and undeserved gift. Esther and Abigail in the bible are described as both beautiful and discerning women(Esther 2:7; 1 Samuel 25:3). Just like many gifts, physical beauty may be used to please God and bless people or it may be conceited and sensual. • The Measure of a Man, More Than Height, Money, and Muscles 17.07.2026 45min
Conversations about beauty usually focus on women, yet men also wrestle with how they look and how they are perceived. Height, build, strength, clothing, money, and status can easily become ways men measure confidence and respect. Because of this, some men compensate through wealth, appearance, or status symbols, while others neglect their physical presentation altogether. • Dealing with Bitterness 10.07.2026 52min
Welcome to coffee in the Library. Today we're diving into bitterness. We'll be asking: What is it? How do we kill it? Can a true Christian live in it for years? And what does the cross, the local church, and the Lord's Supper have to do with it? • Entrusted: Stewarding Our Relationships 19.06.2026 55min
Relationships are one of the clearest places where stewardship becomes visible. They reveal our capacity for love, patience, forgiveness, and truth. Scripture shows that we are not only accountable for what we possess, but also for how we treat and value people. Every relationship, whether family, friendship, or community, is an opportunity to reflect God’s character. In this episode, we explore what it means to steward relationships faithfully, with wisdom, responsibility, and Christlike love. • Entrusted: Stewarding The Tongue 12.06.2026 1h 7min
The words we speak are never neutral. They carry weight, shape relationships, and reveal what is in our hearts. Scripture teaches that the tongue has the power to bring life or destruction, and therefore it must be handled with wisdom and restraint. Stewarding the tongue is not only about avoiding harmful speech, but about intentionally using words to build, encourage, and bring truth. In this episode, we explore what it means to be faithful with our speech in everyday life, and how our words reflect our spiritual maturity.Host: Jessie HimunyangaGuests: Mutale and Cynthia MubangaFor more content by Kabwata Baptist ChurchFacebook: https://facebook.com/kbcbiblicalchrisTwitter: https://twitter.com/biblicalchrist1Website: https://kabwatabaptistchurch.com/Got topics you want us to cover? • Game, Romance, and pursuit, Navigating Pursuit, Pressure, Charm, and Character 29.05.2026 1h 15min
Do Baptist men have a game problem? How does godly wisdom shape how a man pursues a relationship with a lady? How important is having a "type" in deciding whether to pursue someone romantically or accept a pursuit, and is it okay to say no to someone just because they don't fit your type? In this podcast episode, taking a break from the "Entrusted" series, we will be exploring what it means to pursue a relationship with integrity, wisdom, and a deep understanding of God's design for love and relationships. • Entrusted: Stewardship in Listening 22.05.2026 56min
Good conversations are not built on speaking well alone, but on listening well. Listening is more than hearing words; it is giving attention, seeking understanding, and responding with wisdom. Many breakdowns in relationships happen not because people cannot speak, but because they do not listen well. Scripture highlights wisdom, patience, and understanding, which are deeply connected to how we engage in conversation. In this episode, we explore what it means to steward listening so that our conversations become more thoughtful, respectful, and life-giving.Join us in this new series titled "Entrusted" as our host and guest tackles the topic, "Entrusted: Stewardship in Listening" in this week's episode of coffee in The Library.Host: Chikondi TemboGuest: Chawezi ChirwaFor more content by Kabwata Baptist ChurchFacebook: https://facebook.com/kbcbiblicalchrisTwitter: https://twitter.com/biblicalchrist1Website: https://kabwatabaptistchurch.com/Got topics you want us to cover? • Entrusted: Stewarding Influences 19.05.2026 44min
We are constantly being shaped by what we see, hear, and allow into our daily lives. Many of these influences don’t announce themselves as good or bad, they simply become familiar, and over time they shape how we think, speak, and live. Scripture calls us to be discerning and intentional about what we allow to shape our hearts and minds. In this episode, we explore how influences form us quietly, and how we can steward them wisely so that our lives are shaped more by truth than by assumption or habit.Join us in this weeks' episode of coffee in the library, in our series titled "Entrusted", as our host and guest tackles the topic, "Entrusted: Stewarding Influences"Host: Chikondi TemboGuest: Graham Ching'ambuFor more content by Kabwata Baptist ChurchFacebook: https://facebook.com/kbcbiblicalchrisTwitter: https://twitter.com/biblicalchrist1Website: https://kabwatabaptistchurch.com/Got topics you want us to cover?
