  • Celtic Exchange Weekly: The Sound Of Silence | Will O'Neill Get The Deal? 01.06.2026 59min
The season may be over, but Celtic's work is only just beginning. Or at least it should be... While the players enjoy a well-earned break, there are major decisions to be made behind the scenes - and, so far, there's been little sign of movement. It's still early in the summer of course, but securing a manager for the season ahead - whether that's Martin O'Neill or someone else - has to be the club's top priority. The longer that uncertainty drags on, the more restless the support becomes. Beyond the dugout, expectations are growing that the coming weeks will bring significant changes to the playing squad, alongside potential developments in the boardroom. All signs point to a pivotal summer at Celtic Park. Elsewhere, no fewer than eight Celts are preparing for the World Cup, which gets underway in just a matter of days. We'll be watching closely - although whether all of them return as Celtic players remains an open question. 🎙️ Join Tino, Paddy, James and Mif as they tackle all of the above and much more in the latest edition of the Celtic Exchange Weekly. 00:00 Celtic Exchange Weekly - Opening Comments 03:37 We Want Your Footage From Our End Of Season Special 04:45 26 Years To The Day Since Martin O'Neill First Arrived At Celtic 06:59 Is It Now Martin O'Neill v Robbie Keane For The Celtic Manager's Job?23:10 Where Are Celtic Heading As A Club? 35:35 A New Project About An Enigmatic Celtic Legend 36:51 Celtic At The World Cup 43:26 Celtic FC Woman Lift The Scottish Cup in Glasgow Derby At Hampden 46:12 What Are Your Hopes For Celtic Right Now? 49:05 Closing Comments On Celtic Exchange Weekly =============== 🎥 If you have ANY footage of the season past that may be suitable for our end of season project then please send to tino@thecelticexchange.com 🍀 We're keeping it going right throughout summer on our Patreon Channel - check it all out at https://thecelticexchange.com/patreon Learn more about your ad choices. • Win, Lose Or Draw: The First Ever Celtic History Conference 30.05.2026 1h 6min
Celtic are a club renowned for breaking new ground, and this summer looks set to bring another first with what is believed to be the first-ever football history conference dedicated to a single club. Many have helped preserve and share Celtic's remarkable story over the years, but few have contributed more in recent times than Pat Woods, Tom Campbell and David Potter - three figures whose work has been a major inspiration behind the creation of this event. Ahead of the conference, which takes place at Celtic Park on Saturday 6th June, we sat down with Celtic author Matthew Marr and acclaimed documentary filmmaker Margot McCuaig - whose credits include films on Jock Stein, Tommy Burns and Jimmy Johnstone - to discuss their involvement in what promises to be a unique occasion. Both will feature among a distinguished line-up of guest speakers on the day. In this wide-ranging conversation, we explore the importance of preserving Celtic's rich history, the challenges of passing that story on to future generations, and the role emerging technologies such as AI may play in shaping how that history is remembered and recorded. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: The Season That Was 2025/26 - Highs, Lows, And Everything Else In Between 25.05.2026 1h 6min
We'll never see another season like it - which is just as well, in many ways - but in terms of pure footballing joy, it'll be almost impossible to match what we've all experienced these last few weeks. Inspired by Martin O'Neill, and with moments of magic by Daizen Maeda, Kelechi Iheanacho and others, Celtic are Double Winners once again - and our dominance of Scottish Football continues! And while O'Neill's own future at the club remains unclear, as well as the future of many of the first team squad, it's important to savour these moments before then reseting ahead of whatever challenges lay in store next season and beyond. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: The Spirit Of 2026 | Martin O'Neill's Celtic Are Champions Of Scotland 18.05.2026 1h 5min
It’s a day that, not so long ago, felt like it might slip away. But when it mattered most, this Celtic side found something extra - dug deep, stood tall - and now stand once again as Champions of Scotland. This has been a title built on resilience. On big moments from big characters. From Martin O'Neill driving standards, to Callum McGregor leading by example, to Daizen Maeda delivering when it counted most - and various others stepping up along the way. Every one of them, in some way, has played their part. The supporters too, deserve enormous credit. They’ve ridden every twist of a demanding season, stuck with the team through the ups and downs, and helped carry them to the finish line. Together, Celtic got the job done - and made it five league titles in a row. Now as the celebrations begin, the focus inevitably turns. What comes next for this team? What’s next for Martin O’Neill? And perhaps most intriguingly of all - where does this title rank among Celtic’s greatest title triumphs? 🎙️ We get into all of that and more in this special Champions Edition of the Celtic Exchange Weekly. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: All-In For The Final Week | Celtic Are Now Two Wins From The Title 11.05.2026 1h 1min
Incredibly, after everything that’s unfolded this season, Celtic now stand just two wins away from reclaiming the Scottish Premiership title. For a whole host of reasons, this has already been a season that won’t be forgotten any time soon. But should Martin O’Neill’s side get the job done in the coming days, it could yet go down as one of the most memorable campaigns of the modern era. Daizen Maeda may be grabbing the headlines following his sensational derby winner - and rightly so. The Japanese star is absolutely flying right now. But in truth, this recent resurgence has been a collective effort, with key figures like Callum McGregor, Arne Engels and Alistair Johnston all stepping up when Celtic have needed them most. There’s a real sense now that this squad is locked in, fully focused on finishing the job over the course of this final week. Much like Maeda’s wondergoal on Sunday, it’s been a season for the ages — and now, its dramatic conclusion is just days away. 🎙️ Join a full house of Tino, James, Paddy & Mif as they look ahead to the final week of a rollercoaster league campaign in the latest episode of Celtic Exchange Weekly. 00:00 Celtic Exchange Weekly - Opening Comments 05:08 Celtic Park In Full Voice | The Fans Roar Celtic To Derby Win 11:03 Callum McGregor & Arne Engels Dominate The Midfield Battle 14:38 Yang The Man - Celtic's Unsung Hero Of The Season 20:22 Is there REALLY a Referee Conspiracy In Scotland? 28:30 The Incredible Impact Of Daizen Maeda On Celtic Title Charge 43:37 Join The Celtic Exchange For The Final Week 44:16 Celtic Are Now Two Wins From The Scottish Premiership Title 54:16 Final Comments From The Celtic Exchange Team ======================= 🍀 THE FINAL WEEK starts here. • 🎙️ Celtic Exchange Weekly LIVE: And Then There Were Two! | A Win-Win Weekend For Celtic 04.05.2026 1h 14min
Celtic took care of business on Sunday against Hibs, and now, following events at Tynecastle, Rangers are OUT of the title race. Its the latest twist in the tale in a race that looks like it could now go down to the final game - which of course is Celtic v Hearts on the 16th of May. We discuss what that final week may look like for Celtic as they chase down what could be a fifth successive Scottish Premiership title. Also on the agenda is our big Player Of The Yaer winner Benji Nygren, The Yang Man, and the ongoing debate over what Arne Engels brings to this Celtic side. We then round it all off with some season ticket chat, a bit of Brian Wilson, and then a glance ahead to this weekend's all-important Glasgow Derby. 🎙️ Join a full house of Tino, James, Paddy & Mif as they took to the mics LIVE to cover the above and more in the latest Celtic Exchange Weekly. 00:00 Celtic Exchange Weekly - Opening Comments 04:54 What This Weekends Results Mean For Celtic, Hearts & Rangers 18:31 Celtic Win Over Hibs - Key Takeaways 26:15 Benji Nygren - Triple Winner At Celtic Player Of The Year Event 36:28 Yang The Man - His Role In Celtics Season 43:41 Arne Engels And What He Brings To This Celtic Side 54:55 Celtic's Season Ticket Renewal - The Campaign & The Communication 1:02:33 A Look Ahead to Celtic v Rangers - Sunday Glasgow Derby 1:03:33 Final Comments From The Celtic Exchange Team ============== 🍀 Want more Celtic chat, deeper dives, and bonus content every week? • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Daizen & Co Are All In As Celtic Invoke The Spirit of '86 27.04.2026 1h 7min
We may well be witnessing the final games of Daizen Maeda in a Celtic shirt, but if the Japanese star is to move on at the end of this campaign then he looks like he wants to go out swinging, as shown by 3 goals and 2 assists in his last two outings. There's no better time of the season to find form, and with Alistair Johnston re-joining the party - as well as Arne Engles AND the Green Brigade in recent weeks - then things are looking up for our title charge. As the banner in the North Curve stated on Saturday, The Spirit of '86 is very much upon us as Celtic look to once again wrestle a title from Hearts' grasp. Elsewhere we look at new contracts, the ban on Rangers fans, and where our confidence levels stand as we head in to the final four league games of the campaign. 🎙️ Join Tino, Paddy & Conor as they cover all of the above and more in this latest episode of The Celtic Exchange Weekly ==================== 🍀 Want more from Celtic Exchange each and every week? • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Is This The Spark That Ignites Our Season Finale? 20.04.2026 1h 1min
After a chaotic 90 minutes at Hampden - a game that perfectly captured the highs and lows of Celtic’s season - everything changed in six breathtaking minutes of extra time, that just about nobody saw coming. In the end, it delivered more than just a dramatic win. It booked a return to Hampden next month and, perhaps more importantly, reignited belief in this squad ahead of this nail-biting title run-in. It was a incredible response in what’s been an incredible season, and now Martin O’Neill will be looking to use it as the springboard for the final six games of the campaign. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: This Is The Deal Under Martin O'Neill | It's Time To Buckle Up 13.04.2026 1h 4min
The win over St Mirren at the weekend won't be featuring in any "best of" compilations in years to come, and nor should we care if it does, as Celtic again picked up another vital three points. And while many of us - ourselves included - have been waiting for this side to "turn the corner" and to really put a team to the sword, maybe that's just not going to happen this season. And maybe that's ok. So long as there's silverware at the end of it in the shape of the Scottish Premiership Trophy. And it's now abundantly clear, and maybe has been for a while, that Martin O'Neill is simply doing what he has to do in order to get us over the line. This is the deal. And if we have to grind it out between now and the end of next month, then so be it. It's the way it is. And none of us will care if it leads us to this season's ultimate goal. 🎙️ Join a full house of Tino, Mif, Paddy & James as the cover the above and more in this latest Celtic Exchange Weekly. 00:00 Welcome To Celtic Exchange Weekly Podcast – Opening Comments 06:29 Martin O’Neill & His Celtic Legacy 09:51 This Celtic Squad IS Good Enough To Win The Title 21:20 Questions From Our Patreon Members 30:25 What Is Celtic’s Style Of Play Right Now? 37:28 What’s Your “Celtic Mount Rushmore” 40:16 Should James Forrest Be Getting More Minutes For Celtic 44:39 Should Celtic Experiment In The Scottish Cup Semi Final? 52:18 Green Brigade Back At Celtic Park 54:44 Willie Haughey’s Season Ticket Alliance 56:48 Final Comments From The Celtic Exchange Team ==================== 🍀 Want more from Celtic Exchange each and every week? • 🍀 Celtic Exchange Weekly: Is It Now Advantage Celtic As We Await Post Split Fixtures? 06.04.2026 1h 2min
Celtic head in to the final six fixtures of the league season knowing that four of them will be at Celtic Park and just two on the road as they hunt down what would be a fifth consecutive Scottish Premiership title. It's a massive boost to Martin O'Neill's men (and even more so if we see the Green Brigade return in time!) and one that could give them a crucial advantage over their title rivals. With the Top Six now settled, the post split fixtures could be released as early as this week and as fans we can now wait with optimism on what should (should!) be a favourable set of fixtures for Celtic. Don't confuse favourable with easy though, as the patterns of this season tell us just how difficult this run in might be. The morale boosting win at Dens Park however has put us firmly back on track and we can now look forward to this week's clash with St Mirren with renewed belief. 🎙️ Join Tino, James, Brydo and Conor as they cover all of the above and more on the latest Celtic Exchange Weekly. ==================== 🍀 Want more from Celtic Exchange each and every week? • TCE Weekly: Access Denied! Fresh Fan Media Snub As Focus Now Switches To Must Win Dundee Clash 30.03.2026 55min
While access remains restricted for Celtic Fan Media at this time, it seems it is possible to get inside the tent if you’re Fan Media of another club, as witnessed by the announcement of an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain exclusive by The Anfield Wrap this week. It’s been yet another puzzling decision by the cub in a season that’s been full of them. In other news the Jim Craig statue project has formally been launched and we were in attendance last week alongside the man himself and a committed group of individuals who outlined their plans to immortalise the Lisbon Lions in his hometown of Govan. Elsewhere as the players begin to return from international duty it’s all eyes on this weekend’s must win clash against Dundee with Martin O’Neill insisting that Sunday’s fixture is the only show in town for him and his players right now. And finally, a happy 27th birthday to Jota, and oh how we could have done with his talents this season. As he continues to recover from his ACL injury we wish the Portuguese star well and reflect on what he’ll hopefully bring on his long-awaited return. 🎙️ Join a full house of Tino, Mif, James & Paddy as the cover all of the above and more in this latest episode of the Celtic Exchange Weekly. ==================== 🍀 Want more from Celtic Exchange throughout the week? • The Big Easy Goes Green: New Orleans CSC Set To Host The Celtic Convention 2026 25.03.2026 44min
The story of New Orleans is one of resilience, pride, and true community spirit - perhaps more than any CSC we’ve had the privilege of speaking with. In the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005, the New Orleans CSC faced an enormous challenge. Their home at Finn McCool’s was left in ruins, and rebuilding meant starting almost from scratch. But where others might have faltered, this community came together. Driven by passion and powered by volunteers, they rebuilt, not just a venue, but a hub of identity and belonging. Against the odds, Finn McCool’s reopened its doors in time for St Patrick’s Day 2009, just six months later - a remarkable achievement and a testament to their spirit. We were delighted to sit down with two key figures, Lee Kelly and Sean Kennedy, to hear what the club truly means to them - and to share in their excitement as New Orleans prepares to host this year’s Celtic Convention. Running from 8th–14th June, the Convention promises an unforgettable week packed with special Celtic events for supporters from across the globe. To be part of it, secure your tickets and discounted hotel rates at: https://neworleansceltic.com And if you’re in town, be sure to visit Finn McCool’s Irish Pub—located in Mid-City at 3701 Banks Street, New Orleans. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Now Or Never For Celtic As O'Neill Faces Toughest Test Since Return 23.03.2026 1h 5min
The defeat to Dundee United feels like a crushing blow to Celtic’s title hope - but could the enforced two-week international break offer Martin O’Neill’s side a chance to regroup and reignite the race? For fans, it means sitting with the frustration a little longer - never easy. Still, the pause might provide O’Neill with the opportunity to reset ahead of a seven-game stretch that now leaves virtually no room for error. There is at least some cause for optimism. The potential return of Alastair Johnston, Arne Engels and Julian Araujo after the break would be a huge boost to the squad, while a refreshed Callum McGregor would be a timely bonus as the season reaches the business end. Off the pitch, an intriguing question surrounds season ticket renewals, which are now just weeks away. Given how this campaign has unfolded, the club will have genuine concerns about uptake. And with so much of the damage self-inflicted, fans are right to question whether they’re being asked to invest in more of the same heading into 2026/27 and beyond. 🎙️ Join Tino, James, Paddy & Mif for an in-depth discussion on all this and more in the latest episode of Celtic Exchange Weekly. =========== 🍀 Want more from Celtic Exchange throughout the week? • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Yang's The Man As Celtic Lay Down Title Gauntlet With Eight Games To Go 16.03.2026 1h 3min
Celtic roared to within two points of leaders Hearts at the weekend with two goal hero Yang stealing the headlines on what was a huge win against a solid Motherwell. Much of the talk has been about Jens Berthel Askou as a future Celtic manager, but Martin O'Neill once again showed that he's still the man for now as his side picked up yet another win under his stewardship. Celtic Park also experienced an improved atmosphere on the day, though the hope remains that the Green Brigade and the club can iron out their differences for the remaining home games of the season. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Ibrox Uncovered – Beyond The Drama As Celtic Pull Off Unlikely Win 09.03.2026 1h 1min
It was an eventful day both on and off the field at Ibrox at the weekend and from a Celtic Exchange point of view both Mif and Paddy were there on the day to take it all in. The elation of Tomas Cvancara’s winning penalty kick was soon taken over by the concerning post-match incidents that followed and the boys shared their experience of what played out before, during, and after the game. Elsewhere we look ahead to the next challenge which is Motherwell at Celtic Park on Saturday and to some decisions that Martin O’Neill now faces after a solid defensive display at Ibrox. Reo Hatate stole the spotlight as Celtic’s second-half surge kept the Premiership title charge alive with just ten games to play. The Japanese midfielder dragged his side back into it at Ibrox, inspiring a deserved draw and silencing the home crowd late on - leaving Rangers wondering what might have been. Attention now switches to Pittodrie and a crucial midweek clash. Another three points are non-negotiable as the Bhoys continue to chase down Hearts at the summit. Off the pitch, there’s movement too. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Are Celtic Now On The Brink - On and Off The Park? 23.02.2026 1h 3min
Defeat to Hibs has made Celtic’s title push that little bit more complicated, but with 11 games and 33 points still up for grabs, this race is far from run. There’s work to do, and concerns remain about the current squad - but it’s still all to play for. It was a setback, no doubt, yet incredibly it was Martin O’Neill’s first domestic defeat since returning this season. If anything he’ll be more determined than ever to get our challenge back on track in the games ahead. Next up - four tricky away days: Stuttgart, Rangers, Aberdeen, then Rangers again. A defining run of fixtures and one which will go a long way to determining the success of this season. Off the pitch, the standoff between the club and the Celtic Fans Collective drags on, with recent meetings producing few signs of progress. A breakthrough remains the hope but the longer it takes, the more it may be too little, too late – at least in terms of salvaging something tangible from this season! 🎙️ Join Tino, Paddy & James as they cover all of the above and more in this latest episode of Celtic Exchange Weekly. ================== 🆕 Start you FREE 7 Day Trial of the Celtic Exchange on Patreon at https://patreon.com/celticexchange 🍀 More Podcasts | More Reaction | More Celtic Learn more about your ad choices.
