Proven Strategies to Break Free from Yo Yo Diets with Shane Walsh 03.10.2026 38minToday, I have a guest on the show and I'm talking to Shane Walsh. Shane is an author, coach/nutritionist/weight-loss expert and passionate advocate for helping people break free from the cycle of dieting. With 9 years of experience working with people who have struggled with losing weight, regaining it, and repeatedly starting over, Shane has seen first-hand that lasting change requires more than another diet or a stricter set of rules. In Shane's upcoming book: BREAK FREE – 7 Proven Strategies to End Yo-Yo Dieting, he brings together practical, evidence-informed strategies designed to help readers understand why traditional dieting often fails and, more importantly, how to create a healthier and more sustainable relationship with food, weight and lifestyle. The book is rooted in a simple belief: you don’t need to spend the rest of your life dieting to achieve lasting change. Through his work, Shane continues to help people move away from all-or-nothing thinking and towards a more realistic, sustainable approach to health and wellbeing. In this episode, Shane is going to talk all about why diets don't work sustainably, he'll help you break up with the weighing scales and create a compassionate mindset that truly brings about transformative change with food and body. So much value packed in this episode. I hope that you enjoy it. One Transformational Eating Disorder Recovery Hack (In Just 12 Minutes) 28.09.2026 12minA transformational hack that is often overlooked in recovery. Regular eating involves eating three meals and three snacks (or working up to this). It’s sometimes referred to as the six eats. It is self-caring eating, and you are considering nourishment, health, satisfaction and taste. You are including balance in your meals. This means including a protein source, some carbohydrate, good fats and fruits/vegetables. It can involve introducing your unsafe foods in a structured and controlled manner, to build confidence. You will be eating every 2 ½ - 3 hours. This means that your blood sugar remains relatively stable. You rarely reach the ‘I’m so hungry, I could eat my arm off,’ situation, which often ends in bingeing or overeating. In this video I explain the six benefits of regular eating. I hope that you find it helpful. Time slots 5.52 Scaffolding of support 6.22 Blood sugar 6.58 Hunger 7.53 Physical benefits 8.55 Mental impact 9.52 Digestive issues 🌐 If you're looking for more support in your recovery journey, you can explore my work here: https://www.theeatingdisordertherapist.co.uk/ Share your thoughts in the comments below. 📱 Food Freedom App: https://studio.com/apps/harriet/freedomfood 🎙 Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-eating-disorder-therapist/id1499476074 🔔 Subscribe to YouTube for weekly eating disorder recovery support, therapy insights, and real conversations about food and healing: https://www.youtube.com/@theeatingdisordertherapist?sub_confirmation=1 Online Courses: Fitness Lovers Guide to Food Freedom https://food-freedom-coach.teachable.com/p/radical-self-care-and-building-your-thriving-eating-disorder-therapy-practice Breaking Free From Bulimia: https://food-freedom-coach.teachable.com/p/intuitive-eating-beginners-course4 Professional Training: Eating Disorders Training: https://www.theeatingdisordertherapist.co.uk/eating-disorders-training-with-harriet-frew.html Body Image Training: https://www.theeatingdisordertherapist.co.uk/body-image-training-with-harriet-frew.html 📲 Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theeatingdisordertherapist/ - #HarrietFrew #TheEatingDisorderTherapist #EatingDisorderRecovery #anorexianervosa #atypicalanorexia #DisorderedEating #osfed #FoodFreedomJourney #BingeEatingRecovery #MentalHealthSupport #FoodObsessions #BodyImageHealing #RecoveryIsPossible #EmotionalEating #InnerHealing #TherapyInsights #copingstrategy #copingstrategies #eatingdisorders #bulimiarecovery #bingeeating #psychology #therapist #bulimiarecovery #bulimianervosa #bulimia #selfworth #bingeeating #bingeeatingdisorder #bingeeatingrecovery #bodyimage #bodyimagehealing #bodyimageissues #bodyacceptance #self-trust #trustyourself #recoveryjourney #quasirecovery #recoveryjourney #regulareating #recoveryhacks -
