Who really belongs to God’s covenant people? Isaiah 58–66 takes us on a sweeping journey from fasting and Sabbath worship to the coming Messiah, the redemption of Zion, and visions of a restored heaven and earth. In this powerful concluding section of Isaiah, we discover that covenant belonging is about far more than ancestry—it is reflected in how we turn to God, keep His covenants, care for others, and welcome His redeeming presence into our lives.Join Lynne Hilton Wilson as she explores the women, imagery, and profound spiritual teachings woven throughout these chapters. What does God actually want from us when we fast? Why does Isaiah connect the Sabbath with delight and covenant identity? How does Isaiah describe the Messiah and His mission to save and restore? And what can Isaiah’s breathtaking visions of Zion and cosmic restoration teach us about God’s ultimate plan for His children? As Isaiah looks toward a day when God will gather His people, rebuild Zion, and create “new heavens and a new earth,” we are invited to consider one of scripture’s most important questions: Who belongs to God’s covenant people—and how can we become part of that covenant community?Discover the promises of Isaiah 58–66 and see how these ancient prophecies point us toward Jesus Christ, covenant belonging, Zion, and the ultimate restoration of all things.
  • "Stand Forever" Ep. 35 | Truth—Academic & Divine Methods of Learning | Elder Lawrence E. Corbridge 04.10.2026 1h 9min
Can anyone know the truth and if so, how? How do you close the gap between your beliefs and the truth? How can you discern between truth and error? How can you avoid deception?Having considered both the scientific method of experience and the analytical method of reason, today we turn our attention to the last two methods, study or the academic method and revelation or the divine method. The academic method of learning involves study of the written word. Study is as essential as experience and reason in the pursuit of truth, as essential to knowledge as breath is to life.Answers to the primary questions do not come by answering the secondary questions. There are answers to the secondary questions, but you cannot prove a positive by disproving every negative. You cannot prove the Church is true by disproving every claim made against it. That will never work. It is a flawed strategy. Ultimately there has to be affirmative proof and with the things of God affirmative proof finally and surely comes by revelation through the Spirit and power of the Holy Ghost.

What do Isaiah’s prophecies teach us about the Messiah—and about our personal relationship with God? In this episode of Handmaidens, Harems and Heroines, Lynne Hilton Wilson explores Isaiah chapters 50–57, some of the most powerful and deeply Messianic passages in the Old Testament. These chapters point forward to Jesus Christ, describing His suffering, rejection, sacrifice, and redeeming mission centuries before His mortal ministry.Lynne also explores the beautiful imagery Isaiah uses to describe God’s relationship with His covenant people, including the imagery of a mother caring for her children, a bride and bridegroom, and a loving God who remembers and gathers His people. As we examine the “Suffering Servant” and Isaiah’s prophecies of the Savior, we discover not only what Christ would do for us, but what those ancient promises reveal about who we are and how closely God desires to be connected to us. Join Lynne as she uncovers the women, symbolism, covenant language, and Messianic promises woven throughout Isaiah 50–57—and discover how these ancient words can deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ today.
  • "Stand Forever" Ep. 34 | The Truth—The Church of Jesus Christ Part II | Elder Lawrence E. Corbridge 27.09.2026 1h 7min
Is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the kingdom of God on earth? There is one Church and one Church only, that fulfills all that has been foreseen and prophesied regarding the kingdom of God on earth in these last days, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Like a magnet, The Church of Jesus Christ has always and will always draw criticism and opposition.  It will always have many times more than its share of antagonists, desperately striving to disprove, debunk, discredit, and destroy, often curiously fueled with malevolent zeal.  That is so, because it is true.  Opposition, criticism, and antagonism are constant companions to the truth.  Truth never exists unopposed.Christ is the center, the chief cornerstone of His Church.  No religion does more to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and make the blessings of His infinite Atonement available to God’s children everywhere on both sides of the veil than The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints established for that very purpose.  Everything revolves around Christ to the end of bridging the gap with God, our Eternal Father. That is so because it is His Church.

  • "Stand Forever" Ep. 33 | The Truth—The Church of Jesus Christ Part I | Elder Lawrence E. Corbridge 20.09.2026 1h 5min
Is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the kingdom of God on earth? The Church could have lost its way and divine approval since it was organized in 1830. It wouldn’t be the first time; in fact, it is the pattern of history. Jesus said, “By their fruits ye shall know them.” So, let’s look at some of the fruits. Christ is the center, the chief cornerstone of His Church. Priesthood authority is evidence of the kingdom of God on earth. Beginning with Joseph Smith and down to the present-day, God has called prophets to guide us as He has always done before. One of the glorious truths of the restoration is that the heavens are open, and God speaks not only to prophets as He has done throughout the ages, but to all His children who ask, knock, and seek. Revelation is both a sign of the truth and the means to know it.Is it worth the effort to find out? No endeavor could be more important, nor could more hang on a single question.Apostasy has always toppled the kingdom of God on earth, but not this time. This time the kingdom of God will stand forever against all odds and opposition. This time it will not fail.

  • Isaiah 13-35 A Prophet Whom Jesus Loved | Handmaidens, Harems, Heroines I Lynne Hilton Wilson 14.09.2026 26min
In this episode of Handmaidens, Harems, and Heroines, biblical scholar Lynne Hilton Wilson explores Isaiah chapters 13–35, a powerful collection of prophecies filled with warnings, judgment, hope, destruction, and visions of the future.Isaiah is one of the Bible’s most influential and frequently quoted prophets, and these chapters demonstrate why his words have echoed through scripture for centuries. Lynne examines Isaiah’s prophecies concerning great cities and nations, including Babylon and Tyre, while also exploring the vivid imagery Isaiah uses to describe destruction, captivity, and the ultimate triumph of God.What do these chapters teach us about ravished wives, female slaves, and the daughters of Tarshish? What was life like for women caught in the devastating consequences of ancient warfare and conquest? Lynne brings attention to the women who appear—sometimes only briefly—in Isaiah’s prophecies and helps us better understand their experiences within the ancient world. But Isaiah’s vision reaches far beyond his own day. These chapters also contain dramatic images that look toward the apocalypse and the end times, when the wicked are judged, the world is transformed, and God’s salvation is revealed. From the fall of Babylon to the eventual redemption of Zion, Isaiah’s message combines sobering warnings with some of scripture’s most beautiful promises of hope.Join Lynne Hilton Wilson as she continues her journey through the Old Testament and uncovers the women, history, symbolism, and powerful prophetic messages found in Isaiah 13–35. • "Stand Forever" Ep. 32 | The Truth—Was Joseph Smith A Prophet? Part II | Elder Lawrence E. Corbridge 13.09.2026 47min
Pick almost any scripture from the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price, and ask yourself if they read like the words of deceit, lunacy, or God.Joseph Smith said, “…that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than any other book.”Following the three-month period of translation between April and June 1829, Joseph Smith produced the manuscript of what would be printed and published the following year as the Book of Mormon, a book of over 500 printed pages. And not just any book—a book dictated in a continuous stream without notes, books, or reference materials, with layers upon layers of complexity. How does an uneducated young man produce a complicated narration of multiple literary structures and styles, a web of hundreds of chronological and geographical references, multiple discernible authorship styles, hundreds of authorship shifts, language patterns and idioms of the Near East, and also fill the scores of gaps of truth missing from the Bible all in a continuous, unassisted, unedited flow of dictation in 60 days? The Book of Mormon appearing on the scene within two months, containing what it contains, does not happen in the ordinary course of events without the intervention of a higher power. The Book of Mormon speaks for itself.

  • "Stand Forever" Ep. 31 | The Truth—Was Joseph Smith A Prophet? Part I | Elder Lawrence E. Corbridge 06.09.2026 1h 10min
Was Joseph Smith a prophet, or was he a lunatic or a fraud? There is no dispute regarding the facts of the life and work of Joseph Smith. There is no disagreement as to what he did. Only disagreement as to why and how he did what he did.How do you explain him? His critics say he was an impostor or deranged. Those are the options: he was a deceiver, or he was a lunatic, or he was what he said he was, a prophet of God.No one but a lunatic or a prophet endowed with the powers of heaven could endure what he endured, experience what he experienced and never waver regarding the ultimate successful outcome of his labors. Despite every setback and they were constant, despite every defeat, every obstacle, and every crushing blow of opposition, there is no hint he ever doubted the cause of Zion would triumph beyond anyone’s wildest imagination except his and God’s. He was not only a prophet but a seer who foresaw what no one else could have seen at the time—what we all now see in retrospect. The Lord warned, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits.Let’s look at the fruits of the life of Joseph Smith.

  • Proverbs: Focus on the Wisdom of Women I Handmaidens, Harems, Heroines I Lynne Wilson 31.08.2026 32min
What can Proverbs and Ecclesiastes teach us about the women of the Bible—and why does recognizing their voices, wisdom, strength, and influence matter? In this episode of Women in the Old Testament, Lynne Hilton Wilson explores the books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, uncovering the many ways women appear throughout these fascinating books of wisdom literature. From Woman Wisdom and the warnings surrounding the “strange woman” to the powerful mother who counsels King Lemuel and the remarkable woman of valor in Proverbs 31, women are woven throughout the teachings and poetry of these ancient texts.Lynne invites us to look more carefully at the women in Scripture—not simply as background characters, but as teachers, mothers, leaders, examples, symbols of wisdom, and people whose experiences help us better understand the biblical world. Proverbs even personifies wisdom itself as a woman, while the closing poem celebrates a woman whose strength, intelligence, industry, compassion, and faithfulness are worthy of praise. Why are women sometimes overlooked when we read the Bible? What happens when we slow down and intentionally look for them? And what can these ancient women teach both women and men today?Join Lynne Hilton Wilson as she helps us rediscover the women of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes and reminds us why women's stories belong at the center of our study of Scripture.#LynneHiltonWilson #WomenInTheBible #OldTestament #Proverbs #Ecclesiastes #BibleStudy #WomenOfTheBible #Scripture #Proverbs31 #WomanOfValor
  • "Stand Forever" Ep. 30 | The Truth—Is Jesus Christ the Son of God? | Elder Lawrence E. Corbridge 30.08.2026 29min
Is Jesus Christ the Son of God, the Savior of the World?Except for knowing there is a God who is Our Eternal Father, nothing is more critical to our journey in life than knowing Jesus is the Christ. And except for the evidence that reveals God Our Father, no truth of primary importance is more evident than the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ.Consider the reach of His influence. No one ever has had such a positive effect on more people than Jesus of Nazareth. No matter what sphere of human experience you consider, no matter what period you examine the influence of Jesus Christ looms larger and wholly overshadows all the combined influences of every other person and time combined.Knowing what has been prophesied from the beginning of time and that Jesus of Nazareth alone fulfills all that has been foretold, how can there be any doubt? To deny Christ in light of what has been written is to stand in the clear light of day and say the sun does not shine. In the end, we won’t be able to credibly say, “I didn’t know.”

  • "Stand Forever" Ep. 29 | The Truth—Is There A God Who Is Our Father? | Elder Lawrence E. Corbridge 23.08.2026 1h
Is there a God who is our Father? The answer to that question is simply, absolutely and unequivocally “yes” there is a God who is your father. The most compelling, life-transforming, and enduring evidence of God is the witness that comes from His Spirit. Having said that, reason plays its role as well. The Lord said, “And behold, all things have their likeness, and all things are created and made to bear record of me…” Look around and see how God manifests Himself to us, especially in our day, not only by the restoration, scriptures, and prophets, but also by all that has been revealed in this day of remarkable scientific achievement.Life on earth depends on a set of highly specialized and immensely complex combination of conditions. It involves complexity and precision that defy human comprehension in physics, astronomy, microbiology, biology, physiology, proportionality, consciousness, and cosmology. We see God every day if we have eyes to see Him. Just look around.
