Everybody's a Brand: The New Creator Economy 14.10.2026 24minIn today's Brain Squeeze episode, let me rant real quick about my apartment, because we've all been there before lol. Then we get into the juice—Filmmaker Ava DuVernay says Hollywood is over, pointing to new ways people in the media industry can build wealth independently. And lately, I’ve been seeing this shift everywhere — from creators like Druski, who is reportedly set to host SNL in early November, to Kalan Allen’s new digital talk show concept, to the Black women founders behind beverage brand Sensori. More and more, creators are finding ways to turn their audiences into businesses, building independent platforms and finding new ways to get paid without relying on traditional gatekeepers. The power is shifting into creators’ hands, and they’re figuring out how to make it work. But it does make me wonder: How sustainable is this model? With more creators competing for our attention and consumers becoming more intentional about how they spend their money, can the creator economy continue to grow? Or will the well eventually run dry? Your Ideas Aren't Your Own...Now EXECUTE! 07.10.2026 17minIn today's Brain Squeeze episode, y'all are getting a full drop of juice because I had a juicy thought earlier today about our ideas — where they come from, why we’re so afraid to execute on them, and what happens when we realize someone else had the same idea before us. Here’s the thing, sometimes we think our ideas are ours, when really, they’re God’s ideas being given to us. And if God wants an idea to come to fruition, it will...whether you execute on it or someone else does. But that doesn’t mean you should sit on your idea just because someone else is already doing something similar. DO IT ANYWAY. Because they don’t have the juice like you! We were all uniquely made, and there is something about the way you see it, create it, communicate it, and bring it to life that no one else can replicate. So stop letting comparison, competition, or the fear of being “too late” keep you from putting your ideas into the world.
