    Having started out his BBC Asian Network career as a work experience tea boy in 1999, Dipps Bhamrah’s life evolved in 2003 as a stand in presenter for the station’s Chart show. This led to Dipps becoming one of the most versatile presenters on the standby roster as Dipps presented Late Nights, Album Chart, Film Café, Sunday Soundtrack, Lunch, Breakdown, as well as one off special shows like The Bhangra All-Nighter, The Bollywood All-Nighter and the Desi Decades special for BBC Asian Networks’ Home Grown In June 2006 Dipps moved to present a groundbreaking show which brings together the life, culture and language of Brit-Asian people. The English, Punjabi bi-lingual show, called the Weekend Punjabi Show became one of the most popular shows on the BBC Asian Network. It allowed Dipps to develop his style as a young, unpredictable, loud and entertaining host who is able to bring the audience the entertainment they wanted. Dipps Bhamrah moved onto becoming the voice of Bhangra on the BBC as host of ‘Bhangra Breakdown’. This show became the one of the most listened to shows for Bhangra music around the world. Now, Dipps is true anchor in Bhangra Industry and takes the opportunity to share his vast knowledge of the UK Bhangra scene to an international showcasing the past, present and future of Bhangra music every week.
