S7E2 - To Us and For Us (Part 6 of God's Law Series) 16.09.2026 24λOn this episode, I read Part 6 of my Substack series on God's law. In this article, I look at how we should approach God's law as readers. As God's covenant people in the New Covenant, Christians need to remember that Scripture is written both to them and for them. This directly impacts how we understand God's law. Lastly, I dive into the typical three-fold categorization of God's law into Moral, Ceremonial, and Civil, and see if such a categorization really does justice to the text.As always, if you have any questions or comments, please email me at [email protected] or go to my Substack page at http://www.governedbygod.com and message me there! And if you would like to support the show, please consider becoming a patron! -
I Tried to Get Monetized on Facebook....Until 15.09.2026 20λI tried to get monetized on Facebook, and along the way I started noticing something about what actually gets attention online. For years we’ve heard the phrase “sex sells.” But today it seems like something else may be even more powerful: division.Political arguments. Christian infighting. Rage bait. Controversial posts. Angry comments. The more divided people become, the more they seem to click, comment, share, and keep coming back.In this episode, I talk about what I learned from my own time on Facebook and ask a bigger question: Are we becoming addicted to being angry? There is nothing wrong with speaking strongly about truth. Christians should be willing to stand firmly for what is right. But there is a difference between contending for truth and constantly needing another fight.“The question isn’t whether controversy gets clicks. It does. The question is what controversy is doing to us.”In this episode we talk about social media algorithms, political division, Christian infighting, rage bait, outrage culture, and how believers can speak boldly without becoming consumed by conflict. If this episode makes you think, share it with someone and let me know your thoughts in the comments.#ChristianPodcast #SocialMedia #FacebookMonetization #Christianity #RageBait #Culture #Division #ChristianLiving #SocialMediaAddiction -

Standing for Biblical Truth in a Confusing Culture: Faith, Abortion, Politics, and Loving Those We Disagree With 14.09.2026 54λWhat should Christians do when Biblical truth collides with a culture that disagrees with them? In this episode, Derek, Matt, and Dave tackle difficult questions about human life, abortion, morality, politics, judgment, accountability, forgiveness, parenting, and what it actually means to love someone without affirming everything they believe or do.But this conversation goes deeper than cultural controversy. The hosts explore how Christians can speak truth without cruelty, stand for their convictions without trying to force others to believe, and respond to fear with faith and community. They also discuss the responsibility parents have in discipling their children, the importance of teaching rather than simply giving expectations, and why Christians need to live lives that demonstrate the truth they proclaim.Clarity in chaos. Deceived: Les Lanphere Expose the Rise and Ruin of Modern Feminism 10.09.2026 1ώ 23λThe central claim is that modern feminism operates as a widespread deception that harms women, families, and society, and that recovery requires a return to biblical roles with men reclaiming godly leadership. Andrew Rappaport hosts the conversation and brings in filmmaker Les Lanphere, who funded a documentary called Deceived: The Ruin of the Modern Woman on Kickstarter. They trace cultural changes from divorce law and workforce shifts to social media algorithms and abortion, and they name specific cases that illustrate the crisis. They debate the meaning of Genesis 3:16 and how interpretations of Eve's desire shape theology and practice. Their proposed remedy emphasizes restoration of masculine responsibility, the pulpit's teaching, and the church's role in forming families. Listeners are invited to examine the evidence, follow the film's progress, and consider supporting the project through the Kickstarter link in the show notes.Takeaways:We emphasize that the question 'What is a woman?' is biologically complex and openly debated among experts. We explore Genesis 3:16 and how translators and scholars disagree about the meaning and force of the Hebrew word translated as 'desire'.We report that a 1975 reinterpretation by Susan Foh reframed Eve's desire as a drive to usurp her husband, a view contested by many historical commentaries. We argue that modern feminism and social changes have removed traditional female roles and contributed to strain within family and marriage. We describe Les Lanphere's documentary project 'Deceived: The Ruin of the Modern Woman' as an urgent cultural critique funded through Kickstarter support. We propose that restoring biblical manhood and faithful male leadership in churches may be the most effective remedy to current gender disorder. We call pastors and churches to teach and model clear biblical roles and to resist cultural pressure to appease prevailing social trends.Links referenced in this episode:https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brokenstonestudio/deceived-the-ruin-of-the-modern-woman/description -

Beyond the Checklist: How Jesus Fulfilled the Ten Commandments Through Love 08.09.2026 54λWhat does it really mean to follow Jesus? Is Christianity about checking enough boxes, following enough rules, and doing enough good things—or is it about having a genuine relationship with Christ that transforms your heart? In this episode, we look at Jesus' words in Matthew 5 and explore how He fulfilled the Law, challenged outward-only obedience, and called His followers to something much deeper. The conversation moves into righteousness, forgiveness, bitterness, sanctification, prayer, idolatry, and the difference between knowing about Jesus and actually knowing Him. Ultimately, Jesus brings the Ten Commandments together under two great commands: love God completely and love your neighbor genuinely. The question isn't simply whether we're following the rules; it's whether our hearts are being transformed by Christ. Clarity in chaos. The Lindsay Clancy Case: One Hero Rises 08.09.2026 38λIn this episode we cover the jury deliberation timeline in the Lindsay Clancy trial, including the drama around a deadlocked jury and one lone holdout. We also see a retired nurse and "crime junkie" who got in legal trouble with the court in a restricted area and could face her own trial. The jury in the Lindsay Clancy trial deliberated for 36 hours over a full week. Despite the defense trying to get him removed, one lone juror held his convictions until the judge finally declared a mistrial. The defense even tried an emergency one-hour appeal to the highest court in the state but that attempt failed. We look at some of the online politics on social media while the jury deliberated, including calls to repeal the 19th Amendment. We see from the last 100 years of American history that moral decline isn't simply because women were allowed to vote. Men mostly have shaped ideas in society for good or evil. Modern political ideas that appeal to female sensibilities mostly came from male theorists.Sources Cited:Lauren Silver, "Prosecution focuses on bloodstains and pill bottles in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial," Court TV, August 4, 2026.Dorothy Sit, Anthony J. The Sorrow That Leads to Life 08.09.2026 1ώ 6λWhat is the difference between feeling guilty about our sin and experiencing godly sorrow that leads to repentance? In Episode 78 of Abundant Life, Anthony shares his powerful testimony of how God brought him from a destructive lifestyle centered on survival, money, addiction, and self-reliance to a life of faith in Jesus Christ.Anthony’s life verse, 2 Corinthians 7:10, provides the foundation for the conversation: “For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation…” The episode explores how godly sorrow is different from worldly sorrow and how conviction can lead us toward God rather than leave us trapped in shame and condemnation.Anthony shares how God used people, circumstances, church, Christian community, and Scripture to draw him closer to Himself. The conversation also explores the importance of reading God’s Word, accountability, surrendering control, trusting God through uncertainty, and discovering a new identity in Christ. One of the most important lessons Anthony has learned is that falling doesn't mean we have to keep falling. When we are convicted of sin, we can turn toward the Father, receive His grace, and continue taking the next step.Key takeaway: Godly sorrow is not meant to destroy us with condemnation. When we respond to conviction by turning toward God, sorrow can lead to repentance, salvation, and a transformed life.If this episode encourages you, subscribe to Abundant Life and share it with someone who needs to hear that their past does not have to define their future. -

Inside China's Underground Church: Faith, Politics, and the Fight for Freedom 08.09.2026 1ώ 14λAndrew Rappaport engaged in a captivating discussion with Ben from China Compass that dives deep into the intricate dynamics of sharing the Gospel in a country where such activities are fraught with peril. They explored the nuances of navigating religious work in China, particularly under the shadow of stringent governmental regulations, highlighting the delicate balance of discretion and boldness required for effective ministry. Ben recounted his personal experiences, including the gripping story of his deportation, which was sparked by being caught with Bibles and religious literature, illustrating the real dangers faced by those who dare to proclaim their faith. The conversation also touched on the evolving nature of persecution in China, where the government has shifted from overt violence to more subtle forms of oppression, such as employment and housing threats, creating a complex landscape for believers. Ultimately, this episode not only sheds light on the challenges within China but also encourages listeners to cultivate a heart for prayer and support for their persecuted brothers and sisters.Takeaways:The conversation delves into the challenges and complexities faced by Christians in China, particularly how the government controls religious expression and how believers navigate their faith under such constraints, highlighting the need for resilience and adaptability.Ben shares his personal experiences of being deported from China for distributing Bibles and literature, illustrating the very real risks involved in sharing the Gospel in regions where it is illegal, prompting listeners to consider the cost of discipleship. The episode emphasizes the stark contrast between the governmental policies in China and the genuine faith of its people, urging listeners to pray for the Chinese church as it endures persecution and struggles for survival in a repressive regime.Andrew and Ben discuss the unique perspective of eternal significance that Chinese Christians possess due to their historical and ongoing suffering, suggesting that such hardship cultivates a deeper reliance on God that many in the West may lack. The conversation touches on the notion of 'righteous deception' in ministry, exploring ethical dilemmas faced by those who must navigate the harsh realities of evangelism in hostile environments, and how this impacts their approach to spreading the Gospel.Lastly, the episode urges listeners to engage with and pray for specific regions in China, presenting a practical way for Christians to support their brothers and sisters in faith while fostering a deeper understanding of the global Christian landscape.Unbeaten: Confronting the Lies (and Laughter) of the Chinese Communist PoliceUnbeaten.vipPray for China: Every Province, Every CountyPrayforChina.usFeel free to share the whole letter, or just pull out the relevant giving links, etc....Strategic Chinese Pastor TrainingMission Catalyst International, in coordination with Pray for China (PrayforChina.us), is planning two conferences for Chinese underground pastors next month at a safe, undisclosed location in SE Asia. A strategic investment is needed to make this work, due to the sensitive nature of these gatherings in a safe location outside of mainland China. For security reasons, most attendees cannot purchase (cheaper) tickets in advance as it would give the authorities a chance to question the purpose of their travels and/or confiscate their passports before the conference. This makes airfare the biggest expense in organizing these conferences, followed by securing a safe meeting place and lodging in one of Asia's major metropolitan cities. Here's how you can help:First, please pray for these Chinese leaders! Not only do they risk their lives to preach the Gospel within Communist China, but they also risk their freedom just to receive training that we easily take for granted. Pray that God would protect them, provide for them, equip them, and prepare them to continue serving faithfully in one of the most difficult mission fields on earth.Second, help sponsor a Chinese pastor and send him to one of these two Great Commission Conferences for the Chinese Church! The need is roughly $1k per attendee, and we are expecting 60 total. Over $50k has already been raised, which leaves less than $10k to go. One final thought: whoever gives to wholly “sponsor” one Chinese missionary, I will personally greet them on your behalf and provide you with their name (or nickname), and general location of ministry within China, so you can continue to “adopt” them in prayer for going forward.- Online donations can be made via the giving link at MCI3.org (https://givebutter.com/missioncatalyst). - Checks can be sent to: Mission Catalyst / PO Box 73047 / Houston, TX 77272 (Memo: China)If you have any questions or would like to confirm your sponsorship or “adoption” of a Chinese missionary, feel free to call/text (405-728-6397) or email ([email protected]) anytime.
