YANKEES POSTCAST: Yankees Losing SKID Stretches to 7, Longest Since 2023 01.07.2026 15mThe New York Yankees’ losing streak stretched to seven, their longest in three years, as Camilo Doval forced in the go-ahead run with a bases-loaded walk to Spencer Torkelson in a four-run 11th inning that gave the Detroit Tigers a 6-2 victory Wednesday. New York rallied with two runs in the ninth and stranded runners at second and third in the 10th when Keider Montero (5-5) struck out Ali Sánchez. With two outs and one on in the 11th, Doval (3-1) intentionally walked Riley Greene, then issued consecutive walks to Hao-Yu Lee and Torkelson. Zach McKinstry followed with a two-run single and another run scored on a throwing error by Sánchez, the Yankees catcher - New York’s 17th error in 12 games. New York is on its longest losing streak since a nine-game skid from Aug. 12-22, 2023. The Yankees, missing Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Trent Grishman, had seven hits and totaled just 23 in their last six games. New York has lost 11 of 14 and is 12-15 since Judge fractured a rib. Detroit took three games from New York, its first series sweep of the Yankees since 2008. Down 2-0, New York tied the game in the ninth when Amed Rosario homered and Drew Anderson threw a run-scoring wild pitch. Rookie Kevin McGonigle homered in the third off Will Warren and Greene lifted a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Troy Melton held the Yankees to two hits in 6 1/3 innings on a 95-degree Fahrenheit day. YANKEES POSTCAST: 'Big Trouble, Little Offense' as Yanks Skid Hits 6 01.07.2026 15mTarik Skubal pitched six innings of one-hit ball and Riley Greene hit two of Detroit's four homers off Cam Schlittler as the Detroit Tigers beat the New York Yankees 9-3 on Tuesday night and sent New York to its season-worst sixth straight loss. The Tigers hit five homers overall against the Yankees for the first time since Aug. 30, 2018. Skubal (4-4), making his fourth start since returning from elbow surgery, allowed only Ben Rice’s 23rd homer in the first inning and an unearned run in the sixth. The two-time defending AL Cy Young Award winner struck out nine and walked none after allowing four runs to the Yankees last week in Detroit. Skubal threw 61 of 87 pitches for strikes and retired 12 straight after Rice’s homer in the first. Greene hit a solo shot during a four-run first inning off Schlittler (8-5) and added a two-run drive in the third for a 6-1 lead. It was Greene’s eighth career multi-homer game. Before Greene's first homer, Kerry Carpenter hit a solo shot in which center fielder Spencer Jones could not complete a leaping catch at the right-center field fence and saw the ball pop out of his glove into the Yankees’ bullpen. Spencer Torkelson hit a two-run homer to cap a 10-pitch at-bat in which he fouled off six pitches. Schlittler allowed a career-high six runs runs and seven hits in four-plus innings. The hard-throwing right-hander had his ERA climb from 1.62 to 2.08. Schlittler allowed four homers after allowing six homers in his first 17 starts. He had never allowed more than two in any start and became the first Yankees pitcher to allow four homers to the Tigers since Chuck Cary in 1989 at Tiger Stadium. Detroit's James Outman hit a three-run homer in the sixth off Ryan Yarbrough after second baseman José Caballero committed a throwing error on a force play. New York has managed just 16 hits in its last five games. Join JAY BERMAN for the Yankees Postcast!!!

YANKEES POSTCAST: SKID Hits 5 as Tigers Smoke Bombers 30.06.2026 16mIt was a painful night for the Yankees on Monday at Yankee Stadium. New York lost to the Tigers, 7-3, its fifth straight defeat and eighth in its past 10 games. Worse, the Yankees lost second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr., who was nearly knocked out after colliding with right fielder Jasson Domínguez in the fourth inning. New York continued to struggle offensively, recording three hits or fewer for the fourth straight game. Tigers right-hander Casey Mize struck out 10 and limited the Yankees to just one hit in seven innings, and that came in the third inning when Spencer Jones doubled to right field. Mize was out of the game when Amed Rosario hit a pinch-hit three-run homer off left-hander Drew Sommers in the eighth inning. Join JAY BERMAN for the Yankees Postcast!!!

YANKEES POSTCAST: LOST WEEKEND as Yanks Get Swept! 29.06.2026 16mFor a while, the story was Sonny Gray’s near no-hitter, which ended with one out in the eighth. Then, the focus shifted to Aroldis Chapman blowing his second save in a week and Wilyer Abreu having some rare defensive breakdowns in right field. But in the end, it was all about a walk-off pile – just the second this season for the Red Sox, who capped off a rare four-game sweep of the rival Yankees in dramatic fashion, winning, 5-4, in 10 innings. SCHLITTY NIGHT: The Yankees STUN Their Fans with Costly Errors and Missed Chances in a Fenway Loss 26.06.2026 36mNew York Yankees stumble with costly errors in Fenway, sparking questions about roster stability and postseason potential. YANKEES POSTCAST: Costly Defense Hands Sox a Win 26.06.2026 16mCaleb Durbin broke a tie with a two-run homer in the fifth inning, Connelly Early allowed two runs over six innings and the Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees 6-3 on Thursday night. Red Sox closer Aroldis Chapman bounced back after two losses for his 15th save of the season. Nate Eaton and Ceddanne Rafaela each drove in a run for Boston, which beat the Yankees at Fenway Park for the first time this season. New York swept a three-game series at Fenway back in April. Durbin’s homer came off Yankees starter Cam Schlittler (8-4) and came one day after his left pinkie was dislocated against Colorado. The third baseman was in starting lineup and sent a shot into the first row of the Green Monster seats for his fifth homer this month. Early (7-5) struck out a season-high nine. He allowed five hits and walked two. Jose Caballero homered for New York. Schlittler lowered his ERA from 1.71 to 1.62 but left with New York trailing 4-2. The right-hander allowed four runs - none were earned - on five hits while striking out nine. New York took a 2-0 lead into the fifth inning courtesy of an RBI single by Jasson Dominguez and Caballero’s eighth homer. Durbin’s blast capped off Boston’s four-run rally in the fifth, which was aided by one of four errors committed by the Yankees. The Red Sox endured a rocky travel schedule involving their departing charter flight from Denver that didn’t land in Boston until 6 a.m. Red Sox pitching coach Andrew Bailey was ejected by first-base umpire Tyler Jones in the ninth. The Yankees will send RHP Will Warren (7-2, 3.45) to the mound Friday night. The Red Sox will counter with LHP Payton Tolle (3-4, 3.08). Join JAY BERMAN for the Yankees Postcast!!!

YANKEES POSTCAST: 'Three Big Swings' helps Yankees Beat Tigers 25.06.2026 17mPaul Goldschmidt had two home runs and Jasson Domínguez hit a go-ahead, two-run shot in the sixth inning off Tarik Skubal, lifting the New York Yankees to a 4-2 series-winning victory over the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday night. Skubal (3-4) tied a career high by giving up three home runs, allowing that many in a game for the first time since 2021. The two-time reigning Cy Young Award winner gave up only one other hit, didn't walk a batter and had nine strikeouts over six innings. Ryan Weathers (3-5) allowed two runs - one earned - six hits and walked two while striking out six in six innings. Yerry De los Santos and Fernando Cruz combined for two innings of relief and David Bednar pitched the ninth for his 16th save. Skubal got off to a rough start with three straight balls and Goldschmidt took advantage, hitting a 3-1 high fastball over the left-field wall. In Goldschmidt’s next at-bat in the third, he hit a hanging curveball to left center for his 13th homer - three more than he had last season - just after Skubal had an injury scare. Skubal appeared to hurt his groin while pitching to Max Schuemann, but stayed in the game. After giving up a second homer to Goldschmidt, the 2024 pitching Triple Crown winner retired nine straight - striking out seven of them - before Ben Rice hit a single and Dominguez followed with a full-count, two-out homer to make it 4-2. Yankees: Open a four-game series Thursday night at Boston with RHP Cam Schlittler (8-3, 1.71 ERA) expected to face Red Sox LHP Connelly Early (6-5, 3.64). Join JAY BERMAN for the Yankees Postcast!!!

YANKEES POSTCAST: Jazz & Co Help Yankees Snap Skid 24.06.2026 15mJazz Chisholm Jr. homered, drove in two runs and scored twice and the New York Yankees beat the Detroit Tigers 4-3 on Tuesday night. Chisholm scored on Jose Caballero's RBI groundout in the fourth inning before hitting a two-run homer in the sixth as New York ended a three-game losing streak and stopped Detroit's four-game winning streak. Carlos Rodón (4-2) picked up the win, allowing three runs and six hits with two walks in 5 1/3 innings. Three relievers finished, with David Bednar getting the final four outs for his 15th save. Casey Mize (2-5) gave up four runs and eight hits and a walk in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out six while giving the Tigers their 27th straight game in which the starting pitcher allowed four or fewer runs. Detroit took the lead with two runs in the third. Zach McKinstry hit a one-out single and took third when Ben Malgeri singled in his first major-league at-bat. McKinstry scored on Rodon's wild pitch and Malgeri came home on Dillon Dingler's base hit. After Caballero made it 2-1 with his run-scoring groundout in the fourth, Cody Bellinger threw out Riley Greene at the plate to end the bottom of the inning. The Yankees went up 4-2 with three runs in the sixth. With one out, Paul Goldschmidt beat out a rare infield single before Chisholm homered to right-center. Caballero's two-out single brought Tyler Holton out of the bullpen, but Austin Wells doubled to give the Yankees a two-run lead. Dingler and Matt Vierling started the bottom of the inning with back-to-back doubles, cutting New York's lead to 4-3. The teams finish their three-game series Wednesday night with Tigers ace LHP Tarik Skubal (3-3, 3.02) facing LHP Ryan Weathers (2-5, 4.13). Join JAY BERMAN for the Yankees Postcast!!!

YANKEES POSTCAST: Benintendi BLAST sinks Yanks late 19.06.2026 15mAndrew Benintendi launched a pinch-hit grand slam off Camilo Doval in the eighth inning Thursday night and the Chicago White Sox ended a nine-game losing streak at Yankee Stadium with a 5-1 victory over New York. Benintendi batted for Randal Grichuk and was Chicago’s third pinch hitter of the inning. He snapped a 1-all tie by driving Doval’s first pitch, a 100 mph sinker, into the right-center seats. It was the fourth career slam for Benintendi, who played 33 games for the New York Yankees in 2022, and his second pinch-hit homer. Benintendi went deep after pinch-hitter Sam Antonacci doubled off Fernando Cruz (4-2). Tim Hill plunked pinch-hitter Jacob Gonzalez and Tristan Peters with pitches before getting an out. The White Sox won in the Bronx for the first time since June 8, 2023. Chicago was outscored 22-7 in the first two games of the three-game series and 58-18 during its skid in the Bronx. Colson Montgomery also homered and made a key defensive play in the seventh before Chicago went ahead. Montgomery tagged out Anthony Volpe trying to stretch a double. Volpe hit a ball over the head of left fielder Junior Perez, but he recovered to make a strong one-hop throw to Montgomery at third base and Volpe was out by several feet. Ryan McMahon hit a tying homer in the third off bulk reliever Sean Burke (4-4), but the Yankees had their four-game winning streak snapped and fell to 9-5 since losing captain Aaron Judge to a fractured right rib. New York also lost Jazz Chisholm Jr. in the fourth when the second baseman fouled a pitch off the area near his groin. Yankees starter Ryan Weathers allowed one run and three hits in 6 1/3 innings. The left-hander struck out eight and walked one. Burke followed Chicago opener Bryan Hudson and permitted one run and five hits while striking out eight over the final 7 1/3 innings. The White Sox won for the fifth time in their last 17 road games and finished 6-5 in an 11-game stretch against the Phillies, Braves, Dodgers and Yankees. Join JAY BERMAN for the Yankees Postcast!!!
