The Heart Cry for Revival 16.08.2026 50mThe sermon explores the profound consequences of sin on God, others, and the individual to prepare believers for spiritual revival. It emphasizes that true revival requires meeting specific divine conditions: humbling oneself, fervent prayer, seeking God's face, and thorough repentance from wicked ways. Using the whiteboard illustration and historical accounts, the preacher highlights how sin grieves God and hinders His work, while also stressing that God is ready to forgive and heal when His people turn back to Him. The message calls for personal introspection and a decisive commitment to holiness rather than remaining passive or conditional in faith. Ultimately, it presents revival as God's faithful response to the sincere pursuit of His presence and obedience to His word. -
The Blessing of Fear: Intimacy with God 16.08.2026 54mThe sermon explores the profound connection between fearing God and experiencing deep intimacy with Him, drawing primarily from Psalm 25. It argues that reverence for the Lord is not a barrier to closeness but rather the pathway to friendship, covenant revelation, and spiritual instruction. By examining David's prayers and historical examples of faithfulness, the text emphasizes that humility and the forgiveness of sins enable believers to approach God with boldness and trust. The central message encourages Christians to grow in their fear of God as a means to receive His mercy, guidance, and eternal life through Jesus Christ. Ultimately, this reverent relationship brings peace to the soul and extends blessings to future generations. -
Oppressed But Rejoicing 16.08.2026 34mWhat's true of your heart and mind in the midst of clear and present danger? If fear and anxiety of the attempts and work of your enemies frequently knock at your door, desiring to dwell within, may this psalm both guide and comfort you. Through the work of His Spirit, He's your exclusive guard and protector. He is your ally who is ready to enter the battlefield for your cause. -
Obadiah Fearing the Lord 16.08.2026 29mWhen it says that "it came to pass after many days", we are to understand that it was the better part of a year and a half. Elijah had probably been about a year in the wilderness near the Brook Cherith, and probably about another year to a year and a half with the widow of Zarephath. Now the time had come, it says here, for Elijah to go and present himself to Ahab. And so, God gave Elijah this command by a direct revelation to his mind, that he should go and confront wicked Ahab, and then God would send rain on the earth. And so, Elijah went. The famine was severe in Samaria and things were getting quite desperate; especially in terms of water for the cattle. And so, wicked king Ahab called Obadiah, it says in verse 3, to tell him what he wanted him to do. Obadiah was in charge of Ahab's house as a steward. But what is even more significant for our consideration, is the fact which is related to us in the parenthesis in verse 3, where it says – Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly. It is this statement that I want to focus your attention on, and draw lessons from it. What did this mean, that Obadiah feared the Lord greatly? And, what will it look like for us if we fear the Lord greatly? That is what we want to try and discover. So, 1st of all, we want to see that there are different kinds of the fear of the Lord which are described for us in the Bible. And 2nd – We want to see that there are different degrees of the fear of the Lord among those who really do know the Lord. Let's see if we can grow in our understanding of this vital doctrine, the fear of the Lord. -
Fearfully Made to Glorify God part 2 16.08.2026 55m -
Blessed Assurance 16.08.2026 38mBrother Samuel Girod | Isaiah 26:3–4; Philippians 4:6–9; 1 Peter 5:7 The sermon explores the hymn 'Blessed Assurance' as a framework for overcoming anxiety and finding true peace through complete trust in God. Drawing from Isaiah, Philippians, and 1 Peter, the message emphasizes that believers are called to surrender their burdens, careers, and reputations to God rather than carrying them alone. It contrasts the futility of worrying with the freedom found in recognizing that God remains in control and has secured the believer's future. The central call is to shift focus from self-reliance and fear of man to humble submission and reliance on Christ's finished work. Ultimately, it invites listeners to live daily in the assurance that Jesus is theirs, allowing them to rest in His strength amidst life's pressures. -
The Restored Image of God 16.08.2026 37mChrist's mission as the second Adam is to reverse the effects of the fall by restoring the image of God in humanity. In Mark 5, the man possessed by a legion of demons represents the most extreme example of human desecration found in scripture, his humanity nearly extinguished by demonic forces. When Jesus arrives in this Gentile territory and delivers the man, he restores not merely his sanity but true humanity, demonstrating the transforming power of the gospel. There are three responses to Christ in this episode: The transformed man who longs to remain with Jesus, the fearful townspeople who beg Jesus to leave, and the demonic forces who recognize Christ's absolute authority. Apart from Christ, all humanity operates in a kind of spiritual insanity, suppressing truth and surrendering the will to the kingdom of darkness. Salvation entails the restoration of a right mind, true freedom, and genuine life. Those redeemed are called to live as witnesses to the gospel's transforming power while awaiting the return of Christ to complete the restoration of all things. -
Into the Heavenlies 16.08.2026 39mThe sermon contrasts the physical, fearful worship of Mount Sinai with the spiritual, accessible presence of Mount Zion to demonstrate that believers are spiritually located in heaven during corporate worship. By examining Hebrews 12, the text explains how Christ's blood grants access to God's throne room, allowing worshippers to participate in heavenly reality while physically present on earth. This theological perspective shifts the focus from the physical building or location to the spiritual act of entering God's presence through Jesus. Rev Davis urges believers to approach worship with reverence and preparation, recognizing that they are seated with Christ in the heavenly places. Ultimately, true worship is defined as a spiritual encounter with the living God rather than merely a physical gathering. -
For The Lord’s Sake 16.08.2026 34mThe sermon expounds on 1 Peter 2, urging believers to live as sojourners and exiles who abstain from fleshly passions while abounding in good works. It emphasizes the theological imperative to submit to civil authority for the Lord's sake, even when facing injustice or persecution. The preacher contrasts worldly freedom with true Christian liberty found in obedience to God. By fearing God above all earthly powers, believers find the courage to honor authorities and endure suffering without retaliation. Ultimately, the message calls Christians to follow Christ's example of entrusting themselves to the just Judge while maintaining a holy witness in a hostile world. -
For Such A Time As This 16.08.2026 32mThe sermon explores the biblical narrative of Esther to illustrate how God sovereignly places individuals in specific positions of influence for divine purposes. It emphasizes that personal struggles and circumstances are not accidents but part of a deliberate preparation to rescue others and advance the gospel. The preacher urges believers to move from passive observation to surrendered participation, acting with wisdom and sanctified prayer rather than fear or silence. By drawing parallels between Esther and Jesus Christ as mediators, the message highlights the urgency of sharing the hope of salvation in secular environments. Ultimately, it calls Christians to recognize their unique calling to stand for truth and impact their communities for God's glory. -
Two Kinds of People, Two Ways to Live 16.08.2026 43mThe sermon contrasts the accelerating accumulation of human knowledge with the enduring lack of true wisdom, arguing that intellectual prowess cannot save humanity from folly. It introduces the book of Proverbs as a practical guide for daily living, emphasizing that genuine insight begins with the fear of the Lord rather than secular achievement. The speaker highlights the contrast between the wise person who trusts in God and the fool who despises divine instruction. Ultimately, the message points to Jesus Christ as the embodiment of wisdom and the only source of salvation from spiritual foolishness. Believers are called to humble dependence on Christ for both eternal redemption and practical guidance in everyday decisions. -
The Security of the New Life 16.08.2026 40mThe sermon explores the absolute security of the believer's new life in Christ, contrasting it with the fear and insecurity found in various religious systems. Using the story of the Moi tribe in Indonesia, the preacher illustrates how Jesus, as the Good Shepherd, provides eternal life that cannot be lost or taken away. The message emphasizes that salvation is a personal gift from Jesus Christ, secured by His voluntary sacrifice on the cross. Believers are encouraged to listen to His voice through Scripture and follow His guidance daily. Ultimately, the Christian has a double guarantee of safety in both the hands of Jesus and God the Father. -
The Love of God 16.08.2026 50mThe sermon explores the nature of God as love and its manifestation through the new birth, identifying faith, righteousness, and love as the primary evidences of regeneration. It emphasizes that God's love is demonstrated historically through the incarnation and propitiation of Christ on the cross, rather than through circumstantial comfort. The Holy Spirit indwells believers to reshape their hearts, enabling them to reflect this divine love within the community of the church. This supernatural affection removes fear of judgment and establishes a moral imperative for Christians to love one another sacrificially. Ultimately, the message asserts that loving others is an unavoidable consequence of being born again, serving as proof of a genuine relationship with God. -
The Blessing of Fear: The Father’s Pity 16.08.2026 1h 4mVaultAI Summary: The sermon explores the biblical doctrine of fearing the Lord as a gift of grace that produces reverence, awe, and obedience. It emphasizes that those who fear God receive inexhaustible mercy and fatherly pity, rooted in His knowledge of human frailty. The preacher argues that recognizing one's dust-like nature and Christ's sacrifice should lead to profound gratitude and praise rather than despair. This holy fear is presented as the foundation for wisdom and stability, distinguishing true believers from those who merely claim faith without reverence. Ultimately, the message calls believers to constantly remember God's benefits and bless Him for His enduring compassion. -
Servants of Jesus Christ 16.08.2026 51mThe sermon explores the Christian life as a calling to serve Jesus Christ, utilizing the third use of the law to guide believers in honoring God. It addresses the theological pitfalls of legalism and antinomianism by emphasizing that ethical demands are fulfilled through faith and the power of the Holy Spirit rather than for salvation. Drawing from Luke 9:23 and Luke 12, the message encourages total self-denial, readiness for Christ's return, and faithful stewardship in daily responsibilities. The preacher argues that believers are united with Christ's righteousness, allowing them to pursue obedience out of gratitude and trust rather than fear. Ultimately, the Christian walk is presented as a simple yet demanding journey of constant reliance on the gospel to live faithfully in all circumstances. -
