    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S42) There was 3 holes on Zubayr’s رضي الله عنه chest as big as eyes. 2 of those holes were from Badr and 1 was from Yarmook. The scars were from arrows and spears. To give credit to the Quraysh warriors, they managed to strike Zubayr رضي الله عنه twice, whereas the Romans only managed to strike him once. Zubayr’s رضي الله عنه entire body was covered in sword wounds, he got this doing jihad with the Messenger ﷺ. Zubayr رضي الله عنه said even his private parts were injured from jihad. 76 of the Badris were Muhajireen, 237 were from the Ansar, making the total ~313 رضي الله عنهم. The battle took place on a Friday, on the 17th of Ramadan.

    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S41) The Angels (a.s) that were present at Badr were the best of the Angels. The Muslims (a.s) that were present at Badr were the best of the Muslims. Ubaydah Ibn Sa’eed Ibn al-Aas was a warrior at Badr, he sought a fight. The only thing that was visible was Ubaydah’s eyes I.e due to him being covered in armour. Zubayr رضي الله عنه launched with a spear and killed him, piercing through his exposed eye area. The Messenger ﷺ asked for the spear as a memento. It was then passed onto Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthmaan and it ended up with the family of Ali رضي الله عنهم. Abdullah Ibn Zubayr asked for it from the family of Ali رضي الله عنهم and they gave it him, thus it was with him رضي الله عنه ~seventy years after Badr.
  • S40 - Zubayr ibn Al Awaam (ra) - The battle of Badr was the only battle where Angels (a.s) fought. 16.07.2026 22min
    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S40) The Blessed Angels (a.s) were also seen helping others from the Elite 10 Promised Paradise in their very lifetimes (رضي الله عنهم). An Angel (a.s) was sent from the reinforcements of the 3rd Heaven. The Companions رضي الله عنهم would miraculously see the unseen help of the Blessed Angels (a.s). The battle of Badr was the only battle where Angels (a.s) fought. During other battles, they (a.s) stood as supplying forces.

    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S39) The Angels (a.s) which participated at Badr were seen by both the believers رضي الله عنهم and the disbelievers. Suhayl ibn Amr رضي الله عنه (who was on the opposing side at the time) had also related: “Without doubt, it was during the Battle of Badr that I saw brilliant men riding spotted horses that glided between the ground and the sky. They were very conspicuous and were killing the polytheists and also taking them as prisoner”. The Angels (a.s) killed those whom they were appointed to kill and only took prisoner those whom they were appointed to capture.

    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S38) The day before Badr, the Messenger ﷺ showed the spots where the enemies would fall. Umar رضي الله عنه said the enemies died in those exact spots. The battle lines were drawn. The battle of Badr took place, the greatest battle of all time. It was family vs family. Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه against his son, Abdul Rahman رضي الله عنه. Hamza against Abaas رضي الله عنهم. Ali and against Aqeel رضي الله عنهم. Zubayr against his brother, Abdul Rahman رضي الله عنهم. Jibra’eel (a.s) came down taking the form of Zubayr رضي الله عنه. He (a.s) wore a yellow turban with a part of it coming down onto his face, so that no one could see him (a.s). The Angels (a.s) also descended wearing yellow turbans, some of them (a.s) wore white turbans. The Messenger ﷺ wore a yellow turban.

    Surah Qassas 28 v7-8 Session 2 The Mother of Prophet Musa (A.S) was inspired. A midwife from the people of Fir'awn becomes deeply attached to the new born Musa (A.S). A carpenter attempts to alert the authorities of the new born but fails. 'We will return him to you' Moo means water in Koptic. Sa means rescue in Koptic.

    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S37) The firaun of this Ummah, Abu Jahl, told the Quraysh to continue on and fight, leading his people to loss, just like firaun led his people to loss all those years before. 2 tribes split off, Banu Zuhra and Banu Adee. They did not go with Abu Jahl. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى sent down 1,000 Angels (a.s). 500 were led by Jibra’eel (a.s) and 500 were led by Mika’eel (a.s).
  • S36 - Zubayr ibn Al Awaam (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ sent Ali, Sa’ad Ibn Abi Waqaas and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم to a well. 13.07.2026 25min
    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S36) The Messenger ﷺ sent Ali, Sa’ad Ibn Abi Waqaas and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم to a well. They found 2 men there. Abu Sufyaan رضي الله عنه had his own spy network, he found about the Messenger ﷺ. Abu Sufyaan رضي الله عنه sent a messenger to the Quraysh asking for reinforcements. However, when Abu Sufyaan رضي الله عنه got the caravan to safety, he told the Quraysh you no longer need to come. The Quraysh breathed a sigh of relief, for who would want to fight their own family?

    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S35) Zubayr رضي الله عنه participated in every battle with the Messenger ﷺ. To take a look into his (رضي الله عنه) jihad. Badr wasn’t planned. The intention was to get the caravan, so the Muslims could get back what they lost. The Messenger ﷺ only had 2 horsemen in the battle of Badr. To his ﷺ right was Zubayr رضي الله عنه and to his ﷺ left was Miqdaad Ibn al-Aswad رضي الله عنه. Zubayr رضي الله عنه was ~23 years old here. He received 4 shares from the spoils, 2 for his horse, one for himself and one for his mother رضي الله عنهم. 3 men from Banu Asad participated at Badr: Zubayr, Haatib Ibn Abi Baltaha and his servant, Sa’ad رضي الله عنهم.
  • S34 - Zubayr ibn Al Awaam (ra) - Wearing gold and silk is permissible for women. 09.07.2026 30min
    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S34) Zubayr and Abdul Rahman Ibn Awf رضي الله عنهم were given concessions so that they could wear silk, this was because they had a problem with lice and would get itchy skin. They wore silk shirts during travel. (Imam Bukhari (r.h) records this in the chapter of Jihad). The Messenger ﷺ said whoever wears silk in this life will not wear it in the next life. Thus, It is only permissible for men to wear it for health reasons. Wearing gold and silk is permissible for women.
  • S33 - Zubayr ibn Al Awaam (ra) - We must conceal the sins of our brothers and sisters and make excuses for them. 09.07.2026 25min
    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S33) Abdullah Ibn Mubarak (r.h) said Surah [24:22] is the verse that gives us the most hope. Part of the verse: “Let them pardon and forgive. Do you not love to be forgiven by Allah? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful”. The Messenger ﷺ said whoever doesn’t show mercy won’t be shown mercy and whoever doesn’t forgive others won’t be forgiven. We must conceal the sins of our brothers and sisters and make excuses for them.

He رضي الله عنه said: “I was always with him (ﷺ), but I heard him (ﷺ) say: ‘Whoever tells a lie against me intentionally, has reserved himself a seat in the fire’.”. Zubayr رضي الله عنه told us to do secret deeds, just as we commit sins in secret. The Messenger ﷺ: “Strive to perfect your deeds”

    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S31) The first thing we will be questioned about (of the blessings we received) on Qiyamah will be our health and cold water. We should show gratitude for all the blessings Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى Has given us by reciting Surah 102, At-Takathur. Reciting this is like you have recited 1,000 verses. Surah 99, Al-Zalzalah. This Surah is equivalent to half of the Qur’an.

    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S30) Abdullah Ibn Jafar رضي الله عنهم first married Zainab bint Ali رضي الله عنهم. When Zainab passed away, he married her sister Umm Kulthoom bint Ali رضي الله عنهم. Thus, Abdullah married 2 granddaughters رضي الله عنهم of the Messenger ﷺ. A glimpse into Zubayr’s رضي الله عنه Taqwa: Surah [39:31]: “Then on the Day of Judgment you will ˹all settle your˺ dispute before your Lord”. Zubayr رضي الله عنه asked if our disputes will be replayed before us on Qiyamah, the Messenger ﷺ said yes. Zubayr رضي الله عنه said indeed, this is a most serious matter.

    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S29) Zubayr رضي الله عنه had many properties. Abdullah Ibn Zubayr رضي الله عنهم began clearing the debt. Hakeem ibn Hizaam رضي الله عنه told Abdullah رضي الله عنه if he needs any help, he can ask him. Zubayr’s رضي الله عنه entire estate was worth around ~50,000,000. He رضي الله عنه said a third is for the poor. He had 4 wives رضي الله عنهم who received ~1.2 million each.
  • S28 - Zubayr ibn Al Awaam (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “If you wish to have a downpour of rizq, give sadaqah”. 04.07.2026 23min
    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S28) The Messenger ﷺ: “If you wish to have a downpour of rizq, give sadaqah”. Zubayr رضي الله عنه was extremely generous, this was one of the reasons why he رضي الله عنه had so much wealth. He never gathered it to make his life easier, rather he did so to aid the people. The commercial loan Zubayr رضي الله عنه left behind when he was martyred was ~2,200,000 dirhams (this wasn’t a personal debt). Zubayr رضي الله عنه instructed his son Abdullah رضي الله عنه to clear this. Zubayr told Abdullah رضي الله عنهم to recite the following when faced with difficulty: “O Mawla (سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى) of Zubayr (رضي الله عنه), aid me”. We should also recite this when in times of difficulty.

    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S27) Zubayr رضي الله عنه was so beloved and trusted he was asked by 7 Companions رضي الله عنهم if he رضي الله عنه could look after their children رضي الله عنهم after they passed away. This includes: Uthmaan, Abdullah Ibn Masood and Abdul Rahman Ibn Awf رضي الله عنهم. Zubayr رضي الله عنه was one of a kind. The Messenger ﷺ grabbed the tail of Zubayr’s رضي الله عنه turban and gave him priceless, tailored advice to spend in the path of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى.

    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S26) A glimpse into Zubayr’s رضي الله عنه generosity: Zubayr رضي الله عنه used to be poor, however due to many campaigns he was now wealthy, he رضي الله عنه had ~1,000 slaves. He رضي الله عنه would receive a percentage of wealth from them, at night he would give it all away in Sadaqah. He رضي الله عنه would also give away all his land tax. Abdullah Ibn Zubayr رضي الله عنهم had ~100 slaves, they all spoke different languages. Abdullah رضي الله عنه would speak to all of them in their own language! Zubayr رضي الله عنه was a genius, he set up a banking system back in those blessed days.
  • S25 - Zubayr ibn Al Awaam (ra) - Zubayr رضي الله عنه was ~21 years old when he reached Madinah. 01.07.2026 25min
    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S25) Whilst the Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه were performing the Hijrah, they ran into Talha رضي الله عنه (according to one report. another report mentions it was Zubayr رضي الله عنه). The Messenger ﷺ reached Madinah and sent Zayd Ibn al-Haaritha and Abu Rafi رضي الله عنهم to get his ﷺ family رضي الله عنهم. Zubayr رضي الله عنه was ~21 years old when he reached Madinah. He رضي الله عنه was paired with Abdullah Ibn Masood رضي الله عنه. The special disciple and the special servant رضي الله عنهم.
  • S24 - Zubayr ibn Al Awaam (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ supplicated for Zubayr, his kids and his progeny رضي الله عنهم. 01.07.2026 27min
    Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه (S24) Zubayr had 10 sons who were named after martyrs رضي الله عنهم. Talha had 10 sons رضي الله عنهم named after Prophets (a.s). Hasan Ibn Ali رضي الله عنهم said in his will: Marry from the family of Zubayr (رضي الله عنهم), they are your equals. Sukaynah bint Hussain Ibn Ali (r.h) married Musab Ibn Zubayr (r.h), they had a daughter named Faatima (r.h). The Messenger ﷺ supplicated for Zubayr, his kids and his progeny رضي الله عنهم.
