Macklemore vs Bob Kraft and the silencing of dissent, Arch’s apology, Tom Brady’s poetry, and the WNBA’s union has questions for the NBA 17.09.2026 51minMadeline and Charlotte are back with a jam-packed episode! First up, Raiders quarterback Fernando Mendoza’s partnership with OpenAI and a Tom Brady surprise. Texas quarterback Arch Manning issued an apology for laughing at a horrible AI video of ESPN’s Holly Rowe, and the gals dissect it. On Tuesday, many major men's sports leagues sent a letter to state gaming regulators saying they’re worried about the harassment athletes deal with because of sports betting. They didn’t include any women's sports leagues and the WNBPA was like….pardon? There’s going to be increased security when LSU head coach (and former Ole Miss head coach) Lane Kiffin goes back to Oxford for Ole Miss-LSU — specifically, 19 officers on horseback. And, finally, the rapper Macklemore recently said Free Palestine when he opened for Ed Sheeran. He was then dropped from Sheeran’s tour, and it turns out that Patriots owner Bob Kraft led the charge. The gals talk about what people with money will do to try to silence messages they don’t like. -
Sydney Sweeney’s rage-bait sports betting ad, the AI video of Holly Rowe, Zverev’s US Open win, and Aaron Rodgers made it a horrible week for women in sports 15.09.2026 55minMadeline and Charlotte are back with another episode of Sports Gossip, in which they dissect a very bad week for women in sports. First, a few fun things: Taylor Swift was at Travis Kelce’s home-opener (in which the Chiefs beat the Broncos) with…Tom Cruise? Also, Widow’s Bay won a bunch of Emmy’s, which isn’t sports, but sort of is. The US women won their fifth-straight FIBA World Cup gold medal, and the content coming out of it from Angel Reese and all the players was great. Okay, time for the bad stuff. Elena Rybakina won the US Open, and there are some not-great things going on with her coach, Stefano Vukov. Alexander Zverev also won the US Open, and multiple women have accused him of domestic violence, yet the ATP has done nothing about it. Texas quarterback Arch Manning publicly laughed at an AI-generated clip of his head coach, Steve Sarkisian, slapping ESPN reporter Holly Rowe. And the actress Sydney Sweeney appeared in a very sexist ad for a sports betting company in which she has equity. The gals talk about where we are as a society, and how all of these things are related. -
Earle Meets World spills into the sports world and paints a bleak picture of Alix Earle’s fame and family 11.09.2026 37minMadeline and Charlotte are back with a bonus episode — they binged Alix Earle’s reality show, Earle Meets World, and have lots of thoughts. They talk about how the Tom Brady alleged hook-up situation was handled, the Earle family dynamics, what the show teaches us about reality TV in 2026, the way influencers will try to expand their platforms, and much more. -
Is LeBron James’ Polymarket ad the new version of cigarette commercials? + the Bill Belichick timeline at UNC is the darkest possible outcome 10.09.2026 38minMadeline and Charlotte are back with a question: Does anyone care that LeBron James did a Polymarket ad? They discuss the superstar’s new commercial that also features athletes like Eli Manning, Richard Sherman, Derek Jeter, Rajon Rondo, Reggie Bush, Sue Bird, and celebs like Alexandra Daddario, John Leguizamo, Craig Robinson, Spike Lee, and more. It seems bad, but people don’t seem to be too angry about it, so the gals are curious. Then, they talk about the Bill Belichick disaster at UNC. GM Mike Lombardi resigned last week amid ongoing an HR investigation, and there is reportedly also an investigation looking into Steve Belichick, whom lawyers have allegedly questioned about drug related issues and involvement with players. Pretty much the darkest possible timeline! -
Mina Kimes on the juiciest NFL storylines: Mike Vrabel, Aaron Rodgers, gingers in football, the 49ers’ scandals, and much more 08.09.2026 53minESPN NFL analyst Mina Kimes joins the show to discuss all the juiciest NFL storylines before the season kicks off with Seahawks (Mina’s team) vs Charlotte’s Patriots on Wednesday night. The gals talk to Mina about all sorts of things: Will the scandal involving Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini affect how the Patriots play this season? Did Sam Darnold’s wedding help the Seahawks? How will the Chiefs fare with Travis Kelce entering his 14th season as Taylor Swift’s husband, and offensive coordinator Eric Bienemy’s horrible family situation? Why was Deshaun Watson named the Browns starter? The 49ers had a bizarre offseason, with coach Kyle Shanahan’s car crash and owner Jed York’s arrest for suspicion of engaging in prostitution — will any of this affect the team (not to mention the Daejon Love story)? And finally, Aaron Rodgers’ strange comments about hoping he has a “pregnant wife” by next year and why the people who attack Mina for talking about Rodgers are behaving like idiots. -
All the juiciest college football gossip you need before Week 1 with Jessica Smetana and Lucy Rohden 03.09.2026 1t 5minMadeline and Charlotte are back with a very exciting episode: a crossover with Jessica Smetana and Lucy Rohden, two dear friends of SGS who have started a great new show, College Football Happy Hour. The four women in STEM get into all sorts of CFB drama, including Lane Kiffin’s LSU insanity, whether Arch Manning is interesting, Bobby Petrino’s coaching renaissance for Bill Belichick at UNC and Jordon Hudson’s recent outfit, USC’s lack of fans (lol), Notre Dame’s professionalism, Iowa’s quarterback mess, and much more. Finally, the show ends with an insane story about Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend’s parents getting themselves kicked out of the very welcoming Iowa community. You’ll have to listen to believe. -
Tom Brady’s leather pants, Travis Kelce’s new ad (and dog), Coco Gauff’s mom, Taylor Fritz’s new girlfriend, and the crazy Daejon Love 49ers scam 01.09.2026 55minMadeline and Charlotte are back at Sports Gossip HQ (Charlotte’s apartment) and they’ve got a bunch of gossip for their Shareholders. They start with Tom Brady’s leather pants, because Charlotte scored an exclusive interview with the much-maligned garment. Then it’s on to Travis Kelce’s Tommy Hilfiger ad, in which his and Taylor Swift’s dog makes her debut. Coco Gauff’s mom posted on Instagram that she can’t give people US Open tickets, so stop asking! Tennis star Taylor Fritz is dating Olivia Jade, and his ex, Morgan Riddle, made her presence known at the US Open in the best way possible. Messi retired from international play, so he’s just chilling in Florida now. Then the gals get into the Daejon Love scandal. Love posed as a 49ers player and scammed at least 26 women out of 1.3 million dollars, and Madeline interviewed one of the victims. And, finally, Joshua Kushner’s very silly comments about the FIFA deal that fell through. -
Some personal news + a 2026 athlete summer wedding roundup and compressed florals rating 27.08.2026 42minMadeline and Charlotte are back in action from Maine, and they start off the show with some news.49ers owner Jed York was arrested in Ohio…Callaway Golf and Good Good Golf put out a terrible ad and also had a pretty bad PR response to the backlash. Then: A rundown of all the summer athlete weddings and a compression rating for their floral arrangements! Cavs star Donovan Mitchell married singer and actress Coco Jones, Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton married his longtime girlfriend Jade Jones, Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods tied the knot, pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis married Desiré Inglander, Chiefs player George Karlaftis and Kaia Harris got married in Greece, and Justin Herbert and Madison Beer got engaged — there also seems to have been an NFL initiative to show players with their girlfriends and fiancées. The gals are posted up in an undisclosed location in the Midcoast to talk about the sale of the Lakers to former Disney CEO Bob Iger and venture capitalist Josh Kushner. Mark Walter, the current owner, will have made 2.5 billion dollars by flipping the team a year after he bought it. The Buss family, who used to own the team, also has some drama going on. Iger and Kushner go way back, because they were introduced by their wives. Kushner is married to Karlie Kloss, the model and investor, and Iger is married to former model and current Dean at USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, Willow Bay. There is a whole cast of characters involved who have bought or almost bought sports teams — the gals talk about how these people made their money, and why sports teams are becoming a place for them to park it. Best of Sports Gossip: Taylor Swift gave a PR masterclass on Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast 20.08.2026 56minMadeline and Charlotte are playing the hits! They hope you've enjoyed this trip down memory lane this week. Back in 2025, the gals recorded an emergency episode on a Wednesday night, because there was an emergency that needed addressing: Taylor Swift went on New Heights, the podcast hosted by her now husband (but then-boyfriend), Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce. The audience learned a lot about her new album, just as much as she wanted us to know about her personal life, and a whole lot about the state of media, public relations, and fame as it stood last year. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. -
Best of Sports Gossip: Jordon Hudson called us and it didn’t end well 18.08.2026 56minMadeline and Charlotte are playing the hits! This week, they're running it back to the episode they recorded after Jordon Hudson, UNC head coach Bill Belichick's girlfriend, called Charlotte out of the blue one Saturday night. The gals spent the next week on the phone with Jordon, thinking she'd come on the show. The interview didn't end up happening, but their experience with her was one for the books — and they're pretty sure she hasn't spoken to anyone in media so extensively since. A little over a year later, you can relive their roller-coaster week with Jordon Hudson. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. -
Best of Sports Gossip: Is Tom Brady crashing out online as Gisele Bündchen moves on? A historical and sociological analysis that examines the curation of self on social media 13.08.2026 1t 8minThere’s been a lot of talk online lately about how Tom Brady is using Instagram. He’s been posting lots of shirtless selfies, many strange AI-generated illustrations with motivational quotes, and he was recently seen with the social media personality Alix Earle. All of this is occurring while his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, has been posting about the new baby she just had with her new husband, Joaquim Valente. Madeline and Charlotte dive into all of this from a perspective only they can. Charlotte covered the Patriots and has chronicled Tom Brady’s online activity since he first joined Facebook in 2014, and Madeline got her masters at Oxford in analyzing celebrities' social media accounts from a sociological perspective. The gals dive into the history of Brady’s Instagram and conduct an in-depth, qualitative analysis of every single in-feed post Brady has shared since the divorce announcement. They decode the way he’s been using social media since separating from Gisele, and come to find that his experiences are more universal than one might think. Hosted on Acast. Best of Sports Gossip: The biggest athlete weddings of all time: a deep dive into the floral arrangements 11.08.2026 54minMadeline and Charlotte are back with a July 4th Wedding Bonanza. If you’re been listening to the show for a while, you’ll know that SGS goes on deep dives of athlete weddings to see how compressed the florals are. If you don’t know what that means, listen to this show and you will understand. Given that it’s the week of the 4th of July and Summer Wedding Season is upon us, the gals thought it would be an appropriate time to take a walk down memory lane and look at the biggest athlete weddings to see how “shoved-in-there” the flowers were. This episodes takes a look at many weddings, including, but not limited to, Jalen Hurts and Bry Burrows, Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens, Kate Bock and Kevin Love, Victoria and David Beckham, and many more. The gals also decide this show should be sponsored by a compression sock company. So, Bombas, if you’re out there, give a holler. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. -
Why do all athletes’ houses look the same? A continued investigation into the world of athlete aesthetics 06.08.2026 37minMadeline and Charlotte are back with another episode about athlete aesthetics. The gals have already tackled why all athletes’ weddings look the same, and now they’re looking at the places these stars live. They go through a number of athletes’ houses and discuss the various categories, from modern mcmansions to Tuscan revivals. Athletes mentioned include Luka Doncic, Caroline Wozniacki, Michael Jordan, Shohei Ohtani, Kirk Cousins, Scottie Sheffler, Venus Williams, and more. The gals also do a deep dive into mcmansions, what the concept of “home” even means, how people project wealth, and why there are very real reasons that all these houses look the same. First, some NBA weddings: Cavs star Donovan Mitchell married Grammy-winning artist Coco Jones, and Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton and longtime girlfriend Jade Jones tied the knot as well. The gals talk about the other athletes who were there, the flowers, and 50 Cent. Then, some recent developments in the Sophie Cunningham situation that have to do with her anti-trans stances. The gals talk about how it’s a right-wing grift, a clear PR strategy, and how it’s impacting other people in the WNBA. Speaking of PR, FIFA has had a real disaster of a time lately when president Gianni Infantino tried to sell off a piece of soccer’s governing body. He hatched the plan with J.P. Morgan and Joshua Kushner, and for once, a planned corruption didn’t work. The gals dive into what went down. Finally, some updates about Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. Brady turned 49 and posted a somewhat depressing Instagram. And Rodgers went on Pat McAfee’s ESPN show and seemed angrier at the media than usual. Which isn’t great! The gals unpack it all. Plus: Trump talked trash about everyone he had to stand next to on stage, including the Spanish Men’s National Team. Then, the main event: Tom Brady is once again crashing out online and in real life. The gals talk about his recent feud with Logan Paul, which seems to be laying the groundwork for a WWE match.
