Ep 233 // The Pressure to Be a Good Mom Is Making You a Tired Mom 15.09.2026 9minAre you exhausted from trying to be a good mom? The pressure to do motherhood perfectly can leave you feeling overwhelmed, inadequate, and constantly behind. In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we’re talking about the invisible checklist so many working moms carry—the homemade meals, school events, work responsibilities, patience, family time, spiritual life, and all the little things we think a “good mom” should be able to manage. But what if the standard you're trying to meet isn't actually God's standard? Perfection isn't a finish line. It's a treadmill. And when we constantly measure ourselves against an impossible definition of a good mom, we don't become better mothers—we become tired mothers. We’ll look at motherhood through a biblical perspective and consider what God actually asks of us. From Micah 6:8 to the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10, we'll talk about the difference between faithfully caring for our families and living under the pressure to prove we're doing enough. You don't have to be a perfect mom. You don't have to do everything. And you don't have to carry every expectation placed on you. In this episode, you'll learn how to: Recognize the unrealistic expectations behind “good mom” pressure Identify the difference between God's standards and cultural expectations Understand why constantly trying to do more can leave you emotionally exhausted Think biblically about perfectionism and motherhood Release one unnecessary expectation from your mental checklist Make room for rest, grace, and what God has actually entrusted to you Scripture Mentioned Micah 6:8 — Acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God Luke 10:38–42 — Mary and Martha Philippians 4:13 — Finding strength and contentment through Christ Colossians 3:23 — Doing our work for the Lord rather than for the approval of others A Simple Practice for This Week Take a look at your invisible “good mom” checklist. Choose one thing you've been telling yourself you have to do in order to be a good mom—and let it go. Skip it. Delegate it. Say no to it. Or simply decide that it doesn't need to be done perfectly. Then notice what happens when you stop trying to prove you're a good mom and start focusing on faithfully loving the people God has placed in front of you. You are not called to perfect motherhood. You are called to walk with God and faithfully steward what He has entrusted to you. Ep 232 // When Everything Feels Important: How to Know What Deserves Your Attention 10.09.2026 15minA Biblical Way to Stop Living Pulled in Every Direction When everything feels important, it can feel impossible to know where to put your attention. As a working Christian mom, you may not actually need to learn how to do more. You may need to learn how to discern what deserves your attention right now—and be okay with letting something else wait. Because sometimes we know exactly what needs our attention. The harder part is giving ourselves permission to focus on that one thing without feeling guilty about everything we're not doing. In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we're talking about biblical priorities, time management, mental overload, and the pressure to give everything our attention at once. We'll look at Martha and Mary in Luke 10 and what Jesus' response to Martha teaches us about being worried and distracted by many things. You'll be encouraged to recognize that not everything important needs your attention right now—and that living within the limits God has given you isn't a failure. In This Episode, You'll Discover: Why feeling overwhelmed isn't always about having too much to do Why important things don't always need your attention right now How mental overload can keep you from being fully present Why saying “not right now” to something good can be a wise choice What the story of Martha and Mary teaches us about distraction and discernment Why your limited time, energy, and attention are not a failure How to stop feeling guilty about what you're allowing to wait Two simple questions to ask when you feel pulled in every direction How to trust God with what isn't getting your attention right now Why biblical faithfulness doesn't mean giving everything your attention A Simple Practice for This Week The next time you feel pulled in multiple directions, pause before responding and ask: “What deserves my limited attention in this moment?” Then ask: “What can I trust God with while I give my attention to this?” You don't have to give everything your attention to be faithful. You can choose what matters right now—and be okay with letting the rest wait. Go Deeper with Faithfully Balanced If you're ready to create more intentionality in the way you're living, Faithfully Balanced was created to help you identify what matters most, establish healthier boundaries, and create rhythms and accountability that fit your real life. Ep 230 // Why Is It So Hard to Say No? How Christian Women Can Stop People-Pleasing Without the Guilt 03.09.2026 17minYou know you’re already stretched thin. You know you don’t have the capacity for one more thing. And yet, when someone asks you to help, volunteer, take on another responsibility, or make room for one more thing, you say yes. Not because you actually have the time. Not because you really want to. But because saying no feels harder than saying yes. If you’re a Christian woman who struggles with people-pleasing, guilt, or feeling responsible for everyone around you, this episode is for you. As working Christian moms, we can become incredibly good at making room for things we don't actually have room for. We squeeze it in. We get up earlier. We stay up later. We rearrange our schedules. We take on one more thing—and then wonder why we're so overwhelmed. But sometimes the problem isn't that we don't know our limits. Sometimes we struggle to say no because of what we think saying no might mean about us. Will they think I'm selfish? Will they think I don't care? Will they be disappointed? Am I being a good Christian if I don't help? In this episode, we're going deeper than simply learning how to set boundaries. We're talking about why saying no can feel so difficult, how guilt can keep us overcommitted, and what biblical faithfulness actually looks like when our capacity is limited. You'll learn: Why saying yes can feel easier than disappointing someone How people-pleasing can contribute to overwhelm and overcommitment Why not every good opportunity is something God has asked you to carry How to recognize the difference between guilt and conviction Why someone else's disappointment isn't necessarily your responsibility How Jesus modeled living according to the Father's will rather than everyone's expectations Questions to ask before automatically saying yes How to begin making more confident yeses and more confident nos Why your foundational priorities matter when deciding what deserves your time, energy, and attention One of the most important questions we can learn to ask is: “Is this mine?” Not, “Could I technically make this work?” Because most moms are remarkably good at making things work. The better question is, “Does this fit within what God has entrusted to me?” Faithfulness isn't doing everything. Faithfulness is doing what God has asked you to do. And sometimes that means saying yes. Sometimes it means sacrificing. And sometimes faithfulness means recognizing that you've reached your limit and refusing to take on something God never asked you to carry. If you’re ready to stop living from guilt and start making more intentional decisions about what deserves your yes, this episode will help you take that first step. Want help getting clear on your priorities? This is something we go much deeper into inside Faithfully Balanced, my course for working Christian moms who want to stop living overwhelmed and start living intentionally. Inside Faithfully Balanced, we work through your foundational priorities so you can get clear on what God has actually entrusted to you and build your life around those things. Because the goal isn't simply to become really good at saying no. The goal is to become really clear about what deserves your yes. When you know what matters most, your yes becomes a more confident yes because you know what you're saying yes to—and your no becomes a more confident no because you know what you're protecting. Ep 229 // You Don’t Have to Be the Woman Who Can Do It All - Just Because You Can Carry It Doesn’t Mean You Should 01.09.2026 10minJust Because You Can Carry It Doesn’t Mean You Should As a working Christian mom, it can be easy to believe that being faithful means being available, capable, and dependable all the time. But what if you were never meant to carry everything? In today's episode, I'm talking about the pressure many women feel to do more, handle more, and keep everything together. The problem isn't always that we're doing bad things. Sometimes we're simply carrying too many good things. God created us with limits. Our time, energy, and attention are finite—and those limitations aren't something we need to overcome. They're something we need to steward. Instead of asking, “How can I fit more into my life?” we can begin asking, “What has God actually asked me to carry?” You'll be encouraged to consider the difference between being capable and being called, recognize when you're carrying responsibilities God hasn't given you, and find freedom in trusting Him with what you cannot carry. You don't have to be the woman who can do it all. You can be the woman who knows what God has asked her to do—and trusts Him with the rest. In This Episode: Why being capable doesn't mean you have to say yes The difference between being capable and being called Why God-given limitations aren't a weakness How to steward your time, energy, and attention A simple question to ask before taking on another responsibility Why saying no doesn't automatically mean you're selfish Learning to trust God with what you cannot carry Scripture Mentioned: Matthew 11:28–30 — Jesus invites the weary and burdened to come to Him. Colossians 1:17 — “In him all things hold together.” Your Takeaway Before you automatically say yes this week, pause and ask: “Is this mine to carry?” Not Can I do it? Not Will someone be disappointed if I don't? But Is this mine to carry? Your capacity is limited for a reason. You don't have to maximize every minute or meet every need. Faithfulness isn't doing everything you're capable of doing. Faithfulness is doing what God has asked you to do within the capacity He has given you. You can put some things down. You can ask for help. You can say no. And you can trust God with the rest. Ep 228 // The Ministry of Showing Up Anyway - Finding Joy at a Job You Didn't Choose 27.08.2026 11minNot every job is a calling you picked — and for a lot of working moms, that's exactly the point. In this episode, we talk honestly about what it looks like to show up faithfully in work you didn't choose, why that counts as ministry, and how to find real joy even when you don't want to be there. This one is especially for the moms working because they have to, not because it was ever really a choice — and for anyone who's felt like they don't quite belong in the stay-at-home-mom world or the career-mom world. You're not alone in that in-between space. In this episode, we cover: Why not loving your job doesn't mean your faith is weak What Joseph's story in Genesis teaches us about faithfulness in seasons we didn't choose The difference between happiness and joy — and why you can be honest about hating your job and still carry joy A word for moms who feel like they don't have "their people" One simple thing to carry with you this week, no plan required Scripture referenced: Genesis 39–41 (Joseph in Potiphar's house and prison) Colossians 3:23 Need extra support? This community offers Christian life coaching and biblical counseling through Faith Led Ministries. Ep 227 // Redefining Success as a Working Mom Without the Guilt 25.08.2026 11minEver end a "successful" day at work and still go to bed feeling like you failed as a mom? You're not alone — and you're probably measuring success by a scorecard you never actually chose. In this episode, we talk about where our definition of success really comes from, why so many working moms feel like they're constantly falling short even when they're doing a lot right, and how to build a version of success that fits your actual life — not an impossible, contradictory standard stitched together from work culture, social media, and old expectations. In this episode, you'll learn: Why the "success scorecard" most working moms use was never built to be won The difference between measuring success by output vs. by faithfulness What the old definition of success is quietly costing you (hint: it's not just time) A simple, practical way to redefine what a "successful day" really looks like Why success should be measured in seasons, not single days Who this episode is for:Working moms, career moms, Christian working moms, and anyone juggling motherhood and a career who's tired of feeling like they're failing at everything at once. Ep 226 // Why Do I Keep Comparing Myself to Other Moms? How to Stop Comparing Yourself and Feeling Like You're Not Enough 20.08.2026 11minStruggling with mom comparison? Learn why we compare ourselves to other moms, what Galatians 6:4 says about it, and 3 steps to break the cycle. You're having a perfectly fine day — until one scroll through Instagram, one glance at another mom's spotless kitchen, or one conversation about her thriving career sends you spiraling into "why can't I get it together like she has?" In this episode, I break down why comparison feels so powerful (hint: it's not really about wanting what she has), what Galatians 6:4 says about testing our own actions instead of measuring ourselves against someone else, and three practical steps to catch the comparison spiral before it steals your peace. Whether it's motherhood, marriage, career, or your home, this episode is a reminder that God isn't asking you to keep up with anyone else's life — just to be faithful with the one He gave you. What You'll Learn in This Episode Why comparing yourself to other moms is never a fair comparison (you're comparing your behind-the-scenes to her highlight reel) The real reason comparison stings — it's not envy, it's often a lie you already believe about yourself What Galatians 6:4 teaches about testing our own actions instead of comparing Three truths to remember when comparison creeps in: her strength isn't your failure, different isn't deficient, and faithfulness isn't about keeping up A simple 3-step practice — catch it, name it, return to your calling — to interrupt the comparison spiral in real time How 2 Corinthians 10:5 (taking every thought captive) applies directly to moments of comparison Key Takeaway God isn't comparing you to anyone else — He's asking you to be faithful with what He's actually placed in your hands. Comparison isn't a character flaw to be ashamed of; it's a pattern you can notice, name, and redirect back to truth. Scripture Referenced Galatians 6:4 — "Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else." 2 Corinthians 10:5 — Taking every thought captive and making it obedient to Christ Continue Growing with Faith Led Ministries If today's episode encouraged you, I'd love to invite you to continue growing with us at FaithLedMinistries.com. Ep 225 // Why Am I Always So Hard on Myself? How to Stop Living Under the Pressure to Get Everything Right 18.08.2026 16minDo you find yourself constantly criticizing yourself? Maybe you made a mistake at work and can't stop replaying it. Maybe you lost your patience with your kids and spent the rest of the day feeling guilty. Maybe you didn't get everything done and immediately started thinking about what you should have done differently. For many Christian women, especially working moms, being hard on yourself can become so normal that you don't even recognize it anymore. You expect yourself to be patient, productive, organized, spiritually consistent, emotionally healthy, available to your family, successful at work—and somehow still have enough energy left at the end of the day. And when you don't meet those expectations, you don't simply think, "I could have handled that better." You think, "What's wrong with me?" In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we're talking about self-criticism, perfectionism, guilt, and the pressure to get everything right. More importantly, we're looking at what God's Word says about our identity, our failures, and the difference between biblical conviction and condemnation. You don't have to become perfect to be faithful. And you don't have to punish yourself in order to grow. In this episode, you'll discover: Why you may be much harder on yourself than you realize How perfectionism can create a constant feeling of never being good enough The difference between conviction and condemnation Why your mistakes don't determine your worth or identity How to recognize when self-criticism has crossed the line into shame Why biblical grace doesn't mean ignoring sin or avoiding responsibility How to respond differently when you mess up A simple practice for replacing harsh self-talk with biblical truth How to stop measuring your worth by your productivity, performance, or ability to keep everything together Romans 8:1 reminds us that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. That doesn't mean we never need correction. It means we don't have to live under a constant sentence of shame. God can show us where we need to grow without telling us that we're worthless because we haven't arrived yet. Maybe you don't need to become harder on yourself. Maybe you need to learn how to receive God's grace while continuing to faithfully grow. A question to reflect on this week: Would I talk to someone I love the way I talk to myself? When you catch yourself thinking, I'm failing, I should be doing more, I can't get anything right, pause and ask: Is this conviction—or condemnation? Then ask God to show you what is yours to repent of, what is yours to learn from, and what you need to release to Him. You can take responsibility without tearing yourself apart. You can grow without shaming yourself. And you can be imperfect and still deeply loved by God. If you're ready to create more balance in your life: If you're tired of feeling like you're constantly trying to keep up, Faithfully Balanced was created to help working Christian moms identify what matters most, establish healthier priorities and boundaries, and build rhythms that actually work in real life. Ep. 224 // How Do I Trust God When I Don't Know What's Next? Following God Through Seasons of Uncertainty 13.08.2026 13minWhat do you do when you’re trusting God, but you still don’t know what’s next? Maybe you’re waiting for an answer, facing a difficult decision, navigating grief, worried about your finances, waiting on medical results, or simply wondering what the next season of life is going to look like. Uncertainty can make us crave control and clarity. We want the roadmap. We want to know how everything is going to work out. But Scripture reminds us that our security was never meant to come from knowing the future—it comes from knowing the God who already holds it. In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we’re talking about what it really looks like to trust God when you don’t know what’s next. I'm sharing three reminders for navigating seasons of uncertainty: 1. Trust and faith grow in the waiting, not just in the answer.God doesn’t always give us the entire roadmap. Often, He gives us enough light for the next step. We look at the stories of Abraham, Moses, Ruth, and Joseph and how they each had to take faithful steps without knowing exactly where God was leading them. 2. Fear gets loud when the future feels quiet. When we don’t have answers, our minds can quickly fill in the blanks with worst-case scenarios. Lindsay shares a simple question to use when worry begins to spiral: “What do I actually know to be true today?” 3. God’s presence is often greater than His explanation.Sometimes we desperately want God to explain why something is happening, but instead, He reminds us that He is with us. Lindsay shares personally about walking through life after losing her husband, Brandon, and the ways she has seen God's faithfulness through His provision, people, strength, and presence. You may not know what tomorrow holds. You may not have the answers you're asking God for yet. But you can know the One who holds tomorrow. Scripture mentioned:Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” This Week’s Challenge Whenever you catch yourself worrying about something you can’t control, pause and ask: “What do I know is true about God today?” Write down one truth from Scripture each day and let that truth become the place your mind returns to instead of all the “what ifs.” Resources If you’re ready to move from constantly reacting to life’s uncertainties toward living with greater peace, purpose, and biblical confidence, visit Faith Led Ministries for free resources and practical tools to help you grow in your walk with God. Ep 223 // Why Can't I Stop Worrying About My Kids? 3 Biblical Truths for Moms Who Want to Trust God More Than Fear 11.08.2026 17minIf you’re a Christian mom who can’t stop worrying about your kids, you’re not alone. Whether you’re worried about their choices, friendships, health, faith, safety, or future, it can be incredibly difficult to trust God with the people you love most. In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we’re talking about how to stop worrying about your children and learn to trust God with them. As moms, our worry often comes from a very real place of love. We care deeply about our children, so it can feel almost impossible to let go of the fear of what might happen to them. But God never asked you to control your children’s future. He has called you to faithfully love, guide, teach, pray for, and point them toward Him—while trusting Him with what only He can do. Today, I share three biblical reminders to help you when worry about your kids begins taking over: 1. Your job is faithfulness, not control. You can be a faithful mom without being responsible for every outcome in your child’s life. Learn to recognize the difference between godly responsibility and trying to control what only God can control. 2. Prayer accomplishes what worry never can.Instead of replaying worst-case scenarios and carrying constant fear, you can bring your concerns about your children directly to God. Prayer gives your worries somewhere to go and reminds you that you are not parenting alone. 3. God loves your children even more than you do.This may be one of the most comforting truths a mother can remember. God created your children, knows their future, and is able to care for them in ways you never could. If you’ve been struggling with mom anxiety, fear about your child’s future, worrying about your children, or learning how to trust God with your kids, this episode will encourage you to release what you cannot control and place your children back into the hands of the One who loves them perfectly. In This Episode Why moms worry so much about their children The connection between worry, love, responsibility, and control How to recognize when concern has turned into anxiety and fear Why being a faithful mom doesn't mean controlling the outcome How prayer can replace worry Why God can be trusted with your children Encouragement for moms worried about their child's future How to surrender your children's lives to God A simple practice for turning worry into prayer Biblical encouragement for Christian moms who are afraid A Reminder for the Mom Who Is Worried You don't have to stop loving your children in order to stop carrying their future. You can faithfully parent them while trusting God with them. You can pray when you don't know what to do. You can release what you cannot control. And you can remember that the God who loves you is also faithfully holding the children you love most. Ep 222 // Why Do I Feel Guilty Every Time I Rest? What the Bible Really Says About Sabbath and Productivity 06.08.2026 12minDo you feel guilty every time you rest? As a working Christian mom, it can feel almost impossible to slow down without thinking about everything you still need to do. The laundry isn't finished, the emails aren't answered, the house needs attention, and there's always something else on your to-do list. But what if rest isn't something you have to earn? In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we're talking about the guilt many Christian women feel around rest, productivity, and slowing down. We'll look at what the Bible really says about Sabbath and biblical rest and why taking time to stop isn't laziness or a lack of ambition—it can actually be an act of trust in God. We'll talk about: Why rest can make you feel guilty How our culture has connected our worth with productivity What Sabbath teaches us about trusting God The difference between biblical rest and simply "doing nothing" Why your identity isn't determined by how much you accomplish How rest can become an act of faith Simple ways to create healthier rhythms of work and rest You don't have to finish everything before you're allowed to rest. You don't have to prove your worth through productivity. And you don't have to carry everything yourself. God created you with limits, and He didn't design you to live in a constant state of doing. Rest isn't laziness. Rest is trust. If you're an overwhelmed Christian working mom who wants to live with greater biblical balance, peace, and intention, this episode is for you. A Question to Consider When you feel guilty for resting, what are you believing about yourself, your responsibilities, or what God expects from you?
