24. What If Waiting Isn't Wasting? What God May Be Doing While You Wait 14.09.2026 16minWhat do you do when God puts something in your heart—but time keeps passing and it still hasn't happened? Maybe you're wondering if you heard Him correctly. Maybe it feels like everyone else is moving forward while you're still doing the same ordinary things. Or maybe your circumstances even seem to be moving backward instead of toward the dream God placed in your heart. In this episode, we're looking at David's journey from the sheep to the throne. David was anointed to be king—and then went right back to tending sheep. He defeated Goliath, served in Saul's court, and then spent years running for his life. But those years weren't wasted. During the waiting, David learned to trust God, depend on His strength, seek His wisdom, grow in courage, honestly pour out his heart to God, praise and worship Him, and encourage himself in the Lord. What if the same is true for you? What if, while you're waiting for God to do something through you, He's doing something in you? The shepherd boy wasn't simply waiting to become king. God was forming a king while David was waiting. And maybe the season you're in isn't wasted either. Trust God with the destination... and enjoy walking with Him on the journey. 🎧 If you liked this episode, you'll also enjoy: Episode 23: What Do You Do When What God Put in Your Heart Still Hasn't Happened? 23. What Do You Do When What God Put in Your Heart Still Hasn't Happened? 07.09.2026 20minWhat do you do when you believe God put something in your heart to do... but years later, it still hasn't happened? Maybe the waiting has been longer than you expected. Maybe there have been setbacks, delays, or circumstances that seem to contradict what you thought God showed you. You may even begin to wonder: Did I hear God correctly? Did I mess something up? Will this ever actually happen? In this episode, we're looking at Joseph, whose circumstances seemed to take him further away from the dream God gave him. But while Joseph was waiting, God was working. The delay is never wasted time. There is healing, growth, and maturity still happening in us. God may be working in circumstances and in the lives of other people in ways we cannot see. But while you're waiting for what God put in your heart to happen, your life is happening right now. You don't have to put your joy on hold until you reach the destination. God is with you in the process. He sees the end from the beginning, but He also cares deeply about who you're becoming along the way. In this episode, discover how to: Trust God when the dream He put in your heart seems delayed Stop letting insecurity interpret the waiting as proof that you heard God wrong Look for what God may be doing in you during the process Enjoy the life God has given you today instead of putting your joy on hold for tomorrow Make declarations because your tongue is a powerful force. But leave off when and how it will happen. Trust God with the destination... and enjoy walking with Him on the journey. ✨ Take the Next Step Sign up for an Identity Breakthrough Coaching Session! https://calendly.com/breakfreefrominsecurity/identity-breakthrough-coaching-session Email MarjoriejBroce@gmail for questions regarding the coaching. 22. The Lies Moms Believe When Their Child Rejects Them--with Sarah Wall 31.08.2026 21minWhen your child pulls away, it can make you question everything—including who you are—but their choices don't get to define your identity. When your own child pulls away or doesn't want a relationship with you, it's natural to replay the past and wonder: Did I fail as a mother? Is this all my fault? What could I have done differently? If my own child rejects me, does that mean there's something wrong with me? Will things ever change? In today's episode, I'm joined by Sarah Wall, host of the Praying Moms of Estranged Children podcast and a Christian estrangement mentor. Having walked through seasons of estrangement with her own adult children, Sarah understands the worry, heartbreak, and uncertainty that moms can carry. Together, we talk about how painful circumstances can become painful beliefs about ourselves—and how to recognize the difference between healthy self-examination and condemnation that keeps us stuck in shame. We also explore how to identify the deeper lie beneath the thoughts and emotions we're experiencing, bring those beliefs to God, and begin receiving His truth. Because you may have made mistakes. We all have. But something that happened in your relationship with your child does not get to define who you are. In this episode, you'll discover: How to recognize when guilt or regret has turned into a lie about your identity The difference between saying “I made a mistake” and believing “I am a failure” How to separate your child's rejection from your identity The difference between healthy conviction and condemnation Why replaying the past isn't always repentance—sometimes it's self-punishment How to identify the deeper belief beneath painful thoughts and emotions A simple process for bringing those beliefs to God and receiving His truth Your child's estrangement may be part of your story, but it doesn't get to write your identity. ________________________ Connect with Sarah Wall Praying Moms of Estranged Children Podcast Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/praying-moms-of-estranged-children-pray-trust-in-god/id1841243613 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/58GdQYsiHfKT5Fga0fKhx6?si=4e54943ac3204db3 📚 Schedule a Peaceful Mom Coaching Session with Sarah: https://bit.ly/peacefulmom ⓕ Facebook: Join my Praying Moms of Estranged and Prodigal Adult Children community 👥 Join the Inner Circle to get weekly faith-based inspiration: awakenedchristianwomaninsider.gr-site.com Email Sarah: [email protected] ________________________________ ✨ Take the Next Step Sign up for an Identity Coaching Session! https://calendly.com/breakfreefrominsecurity/identity-breakthrough-coaching-session Email MarjoriejBroce@gmail for questions regarding the coaching. 21. Why You Still Feel Like an Orphan: How to Receive the Father's Love 24.08.2026 20minMany Christians love Jesus but still live like spiritual orphans. Discover how the Father's love and the Spirit of adoption help you stop striving, break free from the orphan mindset, and live from the security of knowing you already belong. Have you ever wondered why some Christians seem to live with so much freedom and joy while others spend their lives striving to prove they're enough? Why do some people celebrate another person's success while others secretly compare themselves? Why do some rest in the Father's love while others constantly wonder if they've done enough? The answer may surprise you. You can know Jesus... and still live with an orphan mindset. In this episode, we'll explore how the fear of not belonging quietly shapes our relationships, our thoughts, and even the way we relate to God. Through the story of the Prodigal Son, you'll discover that both the rebellious son and the religious son needed the very same thing—the Father's love. We'll also explore what it means to receive the Spirit of adoption in Romans 8 and why Jesus came to do more than save us from sin—He came to bring us to the Father. If you've been striving, comparing yourself to others, trying to earn God's approval, or wondering if you truly belong, this episode will encourage you to stop living like an orphan and begin living as the beloved daughter your Father says you already are. In this episode you'll discover: Why many Christians still struggle with an orphan mindset. The difference between living for identity and living from identity. What the older brother in the Prodigal Son teaches us about performance and comparison. How the Father's love frees us from striving and the need to prove ourselves. What it means to receive the Spirit of adoption and cry, "Abba, Father." 20. Why You Never Quite Feel Like You Belong: How God Heals the Fear of Feeling Alone 17.08.2026 20minIf you've ever felt like you don't belong, struggled with abandonment, or feared being left, discover how the Father's love gives you the security of knowing you belong in God's family. If you've ever struggled with abandonment issues, the fear of being left, or feeling like you don't belong, this episode is for you. Sometimes the deepest wound isn't that someone left. It's what their leaving taught you to believe. Maybe you've spent years trying to earn love, prove your worth, or keep people from leaving—without realizing those fears have shaped the way you relate to both people and God. In this episode, we look at one of Jesus' most familiar parables through a fresh lens: The Prodigal Son. You'll discover that there weren't just one, but two lost sons. One left home. The other never felt at home. Both needed to experience the Father's heart. We'll explore how the fear of abandonment can quietly become an orphan mindset—and how God's love invites us to stop striving and start living as beloved daughters who already belong. In this episode, you'll discover: Why abandonment wounds often lead to performance and striving What the older brother reveals about living like an orphan The difference between earning acceptance and living from acceptance How the Spirit of adoption replaces the fear of being left Why belonging—not performance—is the foundation of your identity in Christ Scriptures Luke 15:11–32 Romans 8:15–17 Hebrews 13:5 Activation Ask the Father: "Where am I still living like I have to earn a place in Your family?" Feeling Like You’re Never Good Enough? Have you ever felt like you have to perform, be perfect, or keep everyone happy in order to be accepted? What if those struggles aren’t your real problem—but the result of believing lies about your identity? In this honest conversation, Kara Schrock shares how God led her from insecurity, perfectionism, and performance into freedom by discovering her true identity in Christ. Together, we explore why striving never satisfies, how childhood experiences can shape the lies we believe about ourselves, and why true transformation begins when we stop trying to earn God’s love and start living from the truth of who He says we already are. In this episode you’ll discover: • Why feeling ”not good enough” often begins with a false identity • How perfectionism and performance keep us trapped in insecurity • The difference between living from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and the Tree of Life • Why receiving God’s love changes you more than striving ever will • Practical ways to replace old lies with God’s truth One truth to remember: You don’t become whole by trying harder. You become whole by believing what God says is already true about you. About Kara Kara Schrock is a life coach, speaker, and host of The Imagine Code. 07. Why You Still Feel Insecure (Even Though You Know God Loves You)—How to Move His Love from Your Head to Your Heart 18.05.2026 18minDo you know God loves you… but you still feel insecure? Do you find yourself overthinking, striving, or wondering what others think—even though you believe the truth? Have you ever wondered, “Why isn’t this changing me?” If that’s you, you’re not alone. In this episode, we talk about the gap between knowing God loves you and actually experiencing His love in a way that transforms your thoughts, your identity, and your confidence. Because insecurity doesn’t come from a lack of information… it comes from a lack of revelation. A truth that hasn’t yet reached the heart. I’ll walk you through what’s really missing, why truth sometimes doesn’t “stick,” and how to begin receiving God’s love in a deeper, more personal way. ✨ In This Episode Why knowing God loves you isn’t always enough • The difference between information and revelation • How insecurity is tied to what you truly believe in your heart • Why truth doesn’t always “stick” right away • How to begin experiencing God’s love personally ✨ Key Truth God’s love doesn’t change you when you hear it. It changes you when you receive it. ✨ 3 Simple Steps 1️⃣ Slow down and notice what you actually believe (Not just what you know, but what feels true) 2️⃣ Ask God for revelation, not just understanding “God, show me Your love in a way I can experience” 3️⃣ Sit with truth instead of rushing past it Let it settle… this is where transformation happens ✨ Activation Take a moment to pause. Ask: 👉 “God, do I really believe You love me?” Notice what comes up—no judgment. Be honest with any doubt that shows itself with a twinge of resistance. Then ask: 👉 “Will You show me Your love right now?” Be still. Let Him meet you there. ✨ Take the Next Step If you’re ready to begin renewing your mind and replacing insecure thoughts with truth: Join my private facebook page: Break Free From Insecurity Email me at [email protected] Find my Show (all the episodes) Apple users: Apple podcast app: https://shorturl.at/LkeY0 Android users: Spotify app https://shorturl.at/htTPr Youtube: https://shorturl.at/3UYKH Or look up “Break Free From Insecurity” on any podcast platform Mentions: John 17:23 Instructions on writing a review If this podcast encouraged you, will you give me a review? 06. People Pleasing and the Performance Trap: Why You Never Feel Good Enough 11.05.2026 16minDo you ever feel like you have to be “good enough” to be accepted? Do you find yourself comparing, judging, or being overly critical—of yourself or others? Do you feel pressure to get everything right, even in your walk with God? What if trying to follow all the “right” rules is actually keeping you stuck in insecurity? In this episode, I share a personal story from my younger years—when I truly loved God, but didn’t yet understand His grace. Without realizing it, my desire to be “good” led me into comparison, criticism, and a rule-based mindset that affected how I saw myself and others. We’ll talk about the difference between living under pressure to perform and living from a place of already being accepted—and how understanding God’s righteousness and love changes everything. If you’ve ever struggled with insecurity, people-pleasing, or feeling like you have to earn approval, this episode will help you begin shifting from striving to receiving. ✨ In This Episode Why trying to be “good enough” can actually increase insecurity • How legalism leads to comparison, judgment, and criticism • The connection between insecurity and performance • What the Old Covenant reveals—and why it couldn’t make us righteous • What it means to be declared “not guilty” through Jesus • How understanding God’s grace changes how you see yourself and others ✨ Key Truth You don’t become accepted by getting it right. You live differently because you already are. ✨ Activation Take a moment today to notice where you feel pressure to perform or “be good enough.” Instead of trying harder, pause and ask: 👉 “God, where am I striving to earn what You’ve already given me?” Then simply receive: 👉 “I am already accepted. I am already made right.” Let that truth begin to settle into your heart. Alright, let’s come back. Feel your feet on the floor. Rub your face. ✨ Mentions: Romans 3:27-28Also check out Galatians 2:16 and Romans 4:5 ✨ Take the Next Step If you’re ready to begin renewing your mind and replacing insecure thoughts with truth: Join my private facebook page: Break Free From Insecurity Email me at [email protected] If you want to practice listening to God, Get my free 3-Day Listening Prayer Journal and weekly email: https://breakfreefrominsecurity.com/insider Find my Show (all the episodes) Apple users: Apple podcast app: https://shorturl.at/LkeY0 Android users: Spotify app https://shorturl.at/htTPr Youtube: https://shorturl.at/3UYKH Or look up “Break Free From Insecurity” on any podcast platform Directions to leave a review I’d love if you gave me a great review! 05. Stuck in Insecurity and Overthinking? This One Truth Can Change Everything! 04.05.2026 19minDo you feel like you have to be “good enough” to be accepted? Do you find yourself overthinking, comparing, or wondering what others think of you? Do you feel distant from God—even though you want to be close? What if your insecurity isn’t complicated… what if it comes down to one truth you haven’t fully believed yet? In this episode, I share a powerful truth that began to change everything for me—a revelation of God’s love that led to what I call my “year of awe.” For the first time, I began to experience what it meant to be fully accepted—not because of anything I had done, but because of what Jesus had already done. We’ll talk about how core beliefs are formed, how they shape your thoughts, relationships, and even your connection with God—and how one truth from Scripture can begin to undo those beliefs from the inside out. If you’ve ever struggled with insecurity, people-pleasing, comparison, or feeling like you have to earn approval, this episode will help you begin shifting from striving to receiving. ✨ In This Episode What core beliefs are and how they are formed • How insecurity, comparison, and overthinking are connected • Why trying to be “good enough” keeps you stuck • The truth about God’s righteousness and acceptance • How one revelation can begin to change everything • Why healing is a process—not instant, but powerful ✨ Key Truth You don’t earn God’s acceptance—you receive it. And when you begin to believe that, your core beliefs start to change. ✨ Activation In this episode, I guide you through a powerful listening prayer experience where you will: Encounter God’s unconditional love • Release old patterns of thinking • Begin to receive your identity as already accepted and made new ✨ Take the Next Step If you’re ready to begin renewing your mind and replacing insecure thoughts with truth, and If you want to practice listening to God, Get my free 3-Day Listening Prayer Journal and weekly email: https://breakfreefrominsecurity.com/insider Join my private facebook page: Break Free From Insecurity Email me at [email protected] Find my Show (all the episodes) Apple users: Apple podcast app: https://shorturl.at/LkeY0 Android users: Spotify app https://shorturl.at/htTPr Youtube: https://shorturl.at/3UYKH Or look up “Break Free From Insecurity” on any podcast platform Mentions: Romans 4:4-8 Passion Translation https://shorturl.at/1SSgY The Bait of Satan by John Bevere: https://shorturl.at/2wxtB GIVE A REVIEW!
