15. Attention Is the New Currency: How to Get Your Brand Noticed 15.09.2026 59minIn a world competing for attention, how do you get your business noticed?Your marketing might be good, so why are you being ignored? We're all scrolling endlessly (did you know we all scroll about 2km per day?) so we need to stand out which means we need to think beyond a social media strategy for our business. In this episode, I have the pleasure of chatting with creative strategist Shay Starrenburg about the attention economy.Shay is the Creative Director of Idyllic studio in New Plymouth, New Zealand and they know a thing or two about creating eye-catching campaigns, unexpected social media ads and IRL stunts which have people going WTF is this?! This is a seriously fun masterclass in getting noticed. In this episodeRosie and Shay unpack what your business needs to capture attention in an increasingly crowded digital world. If you're posting but wondering why no-one is noticing you, this episode will help show you how to go from unnoticed to all eyes on you (without creating more content.1. Good marketing isn't enough if nobody notices it.You can have an amazing product, service or idea but if your marketing blends in, in the feed, your audience will scroll right past it.2. You don't need a massive budget to get attention. Some of Shay's most memorable campaigns have been low-budget. Idyllic’s phone booth campaign was built and filmed simply. It was the idea that did the heavy lifting.3. Look outside your industry for inspiration. One of Shay's best pieces of advice? Stop copying what everyone else in your industry is doing.Look at businesses in completely different industries. Find something that works there and ask yourself ‘How could we make that work for us?’Where to find ShayFounder and Creative Director of Idyllic, a creative agency based in New Plymouth. She and her team work across design, marketing, websites, photography and video, with a particular love for ambitious businesses that are willing to push beyond the obvious. You can find Shay and explore some of Idyllic's wonderfully bonkers campaigns at idyllic.nz.💻 Want help building a profitable, scaleable business? 14. Fun Might Be Your Most Underrated Growth Strategy 15.09.2026 16minHow to Make Your Business More Fun What if the key to growing your business isn't doing more, but doing more of what you enjoy?I explore why there's a collective belief that successful businesses should be exhausting, instead, I believe we should design a business around the work that energises us.Because fun isn't frivolous, it might be strategic. We spend so much time talking about productivity, discipline, strategy and growth that we rarely stop to ask a much simpler question:Do I actually enjoy running my business? In the ep, I share some memories (and mistakes) from my own businesses, the difference between building a business around what you think you should be doing versus what genuinely lights you up and the concept of your 'flower bucket' - those tasks that take up your time but aren't why you started the business in the first place. What if we didn't wait until we were successful to enjoy our business. Fun doesn't need to be the reward but instead, it was our motivation. Here are my favourite takeaways from the ep.1. Stop confusing productivity with progress. You don't need to squeeze more out of every hour or add another productivity hack to your morning routine.2. Find your flower bucket. Every business owner has one. It's the task, responsibility or part of the job that drains you. Identify yours and ask yourself: Can I delegate it, automate it, eliminate it or do less of it?3. Fun creates momentumWhen you're doing work that energises you, consistency becomes easier. That momentum is far more useful than waiting to feel motivated every day. 13. Feeling Unmotivated in Your Business? This Might Be Why 08.09.2026 10minBecause it stopped being fun! Before we get into Ep 13, you deserve to break free of busy-work and reclaim control of your time.Grab my free Founder Focus Toolkit and stop letting overwhelm run your day.Get more done without working late nights or burning out in the process.🥇 Download it now and kick overwhelm to the kerb.Back to Episode 13...Sometimes procrastination and lack of motivation are signs that you've committed to 'shoulds' instead of the things you enjoy. A particular type of work, client or service maybe?Instead of adding more to your already busy days, now's the time to ask yourself: Do I still need this type of client? Do I enjoy delivering this work? Is this helping grow my business? We've all been there; we collect clients, services, meetings and commitments until and your business starts to resemble a kitchen junk drawer full of things you didn't intend to keep.In this episode, I'm yapping about the early signs of business burnout, how we accidentally create businesses around obligation (you know, those 'shoulds') and how to start designing one that is fun to run.Sometimes the biggest business breakthrough starts with taking something away.In this episode I also share a simple exercise to help you find out what's giving you energy, what's draining it and where you might have accidentally created a business that no longer fits with the life you want.More from RosieInstaLinkdInYouTube -
12. Why Your Content Isn't Converting Into Clients 01.09.2026 14minHow to Make Your Marketing Memorable. You don't need more content, but you do need your ideal client to see themselves in your content and your messaging.Seems easy enough to do, right? If you're posting consistently but enquiries still aren't coming in, the problem might not be your reach, your followers or the algorithm, it might be that your marketing isn't making your ideal client feel like you're speaking directly to them.In this episode, I unpack why recognition is more valuable than reach, why specificity makes your business memorable and how to create marketing that makes the right people stop scrolling and think, Oh my God, she's talking about me.If you're tired of second-guessing your marketing and want a clear strategy, consistent marketing and a repeatable sales process, Best Business Playbook is my 8-week group coaching program designed to help you get seen, get booked and get your time back. You'll leave with a clear strategy, consistent marketing, a repeatable sales process and the community & accountability you need to actually follow through. I challenge one of the biggest assumptions in marketing: that more visibility automatically leads to more clients. It doesn't.You can have 50,000 followers and struggle to sell, while a business with a few hundred followers can be completely booked out. The difference isn't necessarily reach, it's whether the right people understand who you help, what problem you solve and why you're the right person to solve it. You don't necessarily need thousands of people seeing your content. You need the right people seeing it and thinking She's talking about me.That recognition is what turns attention into trust and eventually enquiries (dream result). Your audience doesn't necessarily care about what you do to. help them, your, framework or your job title.Instead of leading with I'm a business coach or I'm a brand strategist, lead with the problem you help people solve.Because your ideal client knows they have a problem before they know you're their solution. Before you publish your next post, ask yourself these questions:1. Does this make the right person feel seen and understood?2. Does this show how I can help them?3. Does this give them a reason to trust me?That's the mental checklist I use before creating content, rather than asking whether something will go viral or please the algorithm gods. Because I'd rather have 10 people feel deeply understood than 10,000 people be mildly entertained.Go and look at your last five Instagram or LinkedIn posts, but don't look at them as you.Look at them through the eyes of your ideal client. Would they know exactly who I help? Would they understand the problem I solve? Would they know why I'm different? Or would they simply think, That's nice? Because nice doesn't sell. Recognition does. 11. How to raise your prices without losing clients. 25.08.2026 25minWhat if the reason you're not earning more has less to do with your business and more to do with how you're pricing your services? If you've been undercharging, discounting when clients question your prices, or base your prices on your competitors, this episode will help you rethink the way you price your products and services. In this episode we unpack the four key pillars behind profitable pricing; from the value you create and who you sell to, through to how you communicate that value and the belief you have in your own worth.Want to build a more profitable business with the right foundations?Check out Best Business Playbook my eight-week group coaching program for business owners who want a profitable business they love, without the overwhelm. In this episode, I'm talking about:Why smart, capable business owners underchargeWhy you should sell outcomes, not hours or deliverablesThe relationship between positioning, reputation, marketing, sales and pricingHow money beliefs can influence the decisions you make in your businessHow to become more confident talking about your pricesWhy raising your prices doesn't make you greedy, it makes you more commercially savvy. You don't get paid for deliverablesOne of the biggest shifts I want you to make is to move away from selling what you do and towards selling what your work makes possible for your client.Your clients aren't really buying a logo, a strategy document, a coaching session or a workbook. They're buying the outcome those things create for their business. As I say in the episode:Deliverables don't equal higher revenue. Outcomes equal higher revenue.Once you understand the value you're creating, you have a much stronger foundation for deciding what you should charge. The 4 pillars of profitable pricing1. The value you createWhat are you actually bringing to the table? What's your expertise, your sweet spot and the transformation you create? The more clearly you understand the value of your work, the easier it becomes to price around the outcome rather than the hours or deliverables involved.2. The value to your clientWho are you solving problems for?One of the easiest ways to charge more is to get better at identifying and speaking to the people who value what you do and have the budget to invest in it.Your pricing, positioning and ideal client need to make sense together.3. Articulating your valueIt's not enough to know you're good at what you do. Your audience needs to understand why your work matters to them. That's where your positioning, messaging, marketing and sales come in. If you're talking about deliverables instead of the problem you're solving or transformation you're creating, you may be leaving money on the table.4. ConvictionFinally, you need to believe in the value you're offering. If you're uncomfortable naming your price, immediately discount when someone questions it, or give away extra work for free, your pricing problem may not actually be a pricing problem. It may be a belief problem.Clients are attracted to certainty, so learning to communicate your value with confidence matters.Want help building a business that attracts more clients who pay what you deserve? If you're ready to stop chasing shiny objects and build a business that gives you consistent revenue without consuming all of your time, doors to Best Business Playbook are open until September 9th.It's an 8-week group coaching experience for coaches, consultants, creatives and founders who are ready to stop planning and start executing, with a coach and community in their corner.Doors close September 9th, the first call is on September 23rd.Book a call with Rosie to see if BBP is right for you.More from RosieInsta LinkdInYouTubeFree Resources -
10. Stop Copying Everyone Else's Marketing 18.08.2026 19minIf you’ve ever seen other business owners killing it online and thought, 'I should do what they’re doing', this episode is for you.Because when you jump from Insta to TikTok, it's not the algorithm, it's you.In this episode, I share the pitfalls of chasing marketing trends, how to know which channel is right for your business and why doing less, could be the marketing strategy your business is missing.Last chance to join my Profitable Business MasterclassYou will learn the 5 pillars of a profitable business so you can earn more, stress less and still have time to do the things you love.→ Grab your ticket hereIn this episode we're talking about...The pressure business owners feel to constantly reinvent their marketing, usually because we've seen someone else doing online which has been super successful. I also challenge the idea that you need to be everywhere. Instead, we look at why depth beats breadth when it comes to social media and why you should focus on the channels you enjoy and where your customers are hanging out.You don't need to build a massive audience to have a successful online business. The best marketing strategy isn't necessarily the one that works for someone else, it's the one you'll stick with. You should be doubling down on your strengths rather than constantly trying to fix your weaknesses.More marketing doesn't necessarily mean better marketing.Sometimes the smartest marketing decision you can make is to say no.You need at least one marketing channel that you actually own.💌 Loved this episode?
