Life is a lot! I'm constantly growing, learning and maturing in my understanding of what it means to be alive and how to apply my lessons to have an easier, more fulfilling life. I'm Tenji Moyana :) Alive is a casual blog-style podcast where I'm sharing what I'm learning about what it means to be alive and make the most of our existence. • 57. Life update and chit chat for the vibes 28.08.2026 1t 17min
This was SUCH a fun episode to record. We need a palate cleanser after all the deep episodes of season 2 and 3 😅 so I came up with a list of random topics and updates to share with you. Grab a glass and let’s laugh, ki and thirst about hot men. We’re talking:The hot celebs I unapologetically thirst over - list does not include Idris ElbaWhat I’m loving lately - incl. cheap but amazing apps and my fabulous afroThe ghetto - what’s destroying my peaceThe catch phrases living rent free in my brain - incl. “Hide your wives, hide your kids”Things I can’t for the life for me cook, shameMeals where I throw TF down but you probably will never know because I have severe cooking for others anxiety 😭And more :)See you in the epi!
  • 56. Devotion: Choosing the broken things that cannot be fixed 16.08.2026 1t 3min
How do we come to peace with who we are, what we can’t have, what we can’t fix, who we will never be, what we will never have? How do we do this so that we can be devoted to ourselves and our paths and our lives? How do we free ourselves of the tyranny of “if only”?In this epi, I explore things in my life that Life has forced me to choose because I finally realised I couldn’t “fix” them and, quite frankly, trying to fix them was driving me mad. I share my story accepting my sexual trauma, endometriosis and other chronic conditions I have, depression and suicidality, singleness, autism, being a Manifestor in human design, running a small solo business and more.I explore all the ways I had to overcome societal and familial judgement about what is acceptable and not acceptable and what accepting these things says about my character, potential, capabilities, etcLet’s chat.
  • 55. Trying GLP-1 for endometriosis: My 6-week results 15.08.2026 1t 7min
Guys! I never imagined that I’d try GLP-1/semaglutide for endo pain, but here we are. And the gag is (Hey Keke!), it’s working! I started on a micro dose in June after my internist (specialist physician) recommended I try it. Join me in this episode for all the details, including:What I take, how much, where I buy it and how I injectMy journey to finding the right doseMain improvements to endometriosis pain & other symptomsUnexpected improvements that I hadn’t heard anywhere elseDid I lose weight???!!!Side effectsMy advice if you’re thinking about trying a GLP-1 for chronic pain.Remember: I’m not a doctor. These are my personal experiences, not at all medical advice. This is an experiment that may or may not work out in the long term but I’m willing to try. Listen to your body and do what’s best for you and remember that every leading edge treatment comes with unknowns and risks. Proceed with wisdom - and hope!
  • 54. Devotion: I love myself, but do I like myself? 15.08.2026 1t 3min
After doing the work of learning how to love ourselves, do we ever get to the point where we actively like ourselves? Like, enjoy ourselves as much as we delight in our best friends or lovers? For a long time - too long - I didn’t realise that I was merely tolerating and taking care of myself, but I absolutely did not delight in who I was. And this makes me sad to look back on.The path of healing for me has been unfolding in five steps: Learning how to tolerate myself (I can’t leave, but let me make the most of it since I’m stuck in this body)Learning to accept myself (Ok, I did my best, I accept and forgive myself)Loving myself (I take care of and show up for myself)Eventually starting to like myself (How freaking awesome that this is how my brain works - I have so much fun in here!)And now finally approaching the idea of being devoted to myself (I’ll go to the ends of the earth for me, I worship and adore me, and I’ll fight anyone who tries to hurt my baby!)Phew, it’s been a journey! And who knows what’s next, but thank the Universe and all its angels that I’ve gotten here.
  • 53. Devotion: Returning to “God” and learning how to be held but free 15.08.2026 1t 2min
You all know that me and Christianity aren’t a thing anymore. I needed to find my way to the truth as I experience it rather than as I’ve been taught to or expected to experience it. And I needed to heal some major “God” wounds. What I believe now is bigger than any religion because religions are ultimately just vehicles to help humans articulate and express/live out our understanding of the divine. But what’s happened over the years is that I’ve been reconstructing my belief system in terms that feel safe, expansive, true to me and sustainable for me. As my journey of separation and isolation for self-discovery and self-definition has unfolded, I found myself missing the sense that something bigger than me was holding me, helping me, looking out for me, caring for me. That not everything depended on me, that something magnificent and more wise and all-seeing was intervening for my highest good. Because it’s not true that we’re all alone and it’s all up to us, but I needed to find a way to conceptualise that in a way that is healthy and abundant for meJoin me as I share what I’ve come to know and how it’s brought me back to a more healthy place of being autonomous but held; or as Glennon Doyle puts it “held but free”.
  • 52. Devotion: The tyranny of “greatness” and how to love your ordinary life 24.06.2026 1t 8min
The title of this epi says it all. The goal of “living up to my potential” has terrorised me. Terrorised me. From my parents, teachers, schools and companies expecting or predicting “great things” to my own insecurities and needing desperately to create what I thought would be a “worthy life”. The concept of “achieving greatness” has had me in a chokehold. But I got diagnosed with endo and it’s severely limited my physical life. So what now?Join me as I go back to drawing board and learn about what makes a life worthy TO ME, not others, and creating a new expectation of what I want my life to be like - not because Endo wouldn’t let me have greatness, but because I started to want something different, healthier, and that actually made me happy and Endo was the thing that finally backed me into a corner and forced me to let go.
  • 51. Devotion: Waiting to be saved vs committing to being alive 24.06.2026 1t 8min
As a child of trauma, my suicidal teen mind believed that I couldn’t survive on my own and that if I just made enough money, or was rescued by God, or found a nice man to love me, or figured out how to stop being sad, THEN I would be safe, I would survive, I would make it, I would be good enough. My life has been a slow and very painful unraveling of that survival premise. And this year, another domino fell: I found a lovely guy to love me. And - plot twist - it didn’t really save me…. Because instead of needing someone to be devoted to me, I’ve needed to be devoted to myself. Like deeply, can’t tear me away, I will live and die for, I will do whatever it takes for me, for my life!Because the gag is, I’ve actually been saving myself all along! I just could never see it.
  • 50. Season 3 trailer: A journey of devotion 23.06.2026 8min
Ciao peeps, welcome to season 3!! And episode 50! Wowsers. I can’t believe we’ve made it to 50 episodes! I’m a beast. This is a quickie letting you know what you’re in for this season. We’re talking about devotion as the theme of my year as a Personal Year 6 in numerology this year.In theme with the frequency of the 6 here’s what I’ve been chewing on:I’ve learned about what it means to be devoted.I’ve wondered if I am devoted to anything (I haven’t felt like I am but maybe I’m wrong).I’m asking what my choices have been revealing to me about what I’m devoted to.I’m finding a sense of “God” again - sort of.And more…Yay for another frolick together. Can’t wait to get dug into this season.
  • 49. Being a death doula, letting my father go 22.06.2026 51min
Death is tricky business. Especially when you’re not ready to go. My father died during Covid and it had a profound impact on me, my understanding of the spiritual role I play for mankind and the evolution of my spiritual path. My dad told me, through a medium, that I had helped him find his way home to soul world/ life after death when he died. The crazy thing is I had no idea the significance of the little things I was doing at the time. But now that I know, I realise I’ve been a death doula - a midwife for death - in past lives and my soul had unconsciously remembered how to help my dad. How beautiful. Listen along as I share the details of the lead up to my dad’s death, what I’ve since learned about the role I played and the blessing of being to hold space for souls, both the living and the dying, during the scariest time of our lives.Stay to the end for a card reading my traditional RWS tarot deck.I hope this blesses you. Infinite love x
  • 48. What happens when we die? 04.02.2026 1t 10min
What happens when we leave Earth? Where do our souls go? What does what happens next tell us about the purpose of our lives today? And how does knowing what’s on the other side influence how we live today - our choices, our relationship with life and ourselves, our understanding of our life path? And is it better to know what’s next or live in blissful unawareness?Join me as I share my perspective on the afterlife, our eternal soul nature and how our souls make decisions about what body, life circumstances, challenges, and major events we will experience. I’m strongly influenced by my study of Michael Newton’s work, which has been corroborated by my own past life regressions. My life has become infinitely easier since understanding these truths and I hope it will do the same for you.
  • 47. Is fear of death keeping our lives small? 04.02.2026 50min
Today, I reflect on how the sudden death of my favourite cousin devastated me but changed my relationship with death in unexpected ways.Death is something that terrifies most of us. We’ve made it a taboo topic and something we spend our whole lives trying to avoid. How do we come to peace with the fact that we all die? What do we need to believe about our capacity to survive our own deaths and the deaths of our loved ones so that we can live fully? Birth/Life and death are made of the same stuff - both are sacred. How do we learn to honour death so we can become one with it as much as we choose to be one with life? Let’s speak about this most sacred of topics.I also share how letting go of Christian “Judgement Day” thinking helped me be so much less afraid of dying and more relaxed about how I live my life. This episode is dedicated to my beautiful cousin. Thank you for loving me.
  • 46. 2026 numerology: The year of new beginnings + discover your personal year theme 04.02.2026 1t 12min
2026 is here, guys, and it’s giving us the chance to start again. This numerological cycle is a Year 1 and it’s offering us supportive energy for new beginnings, planting new seeds, being sovereign and charting our own path with assertiveness and self-trust. Let’s explore this energy in greater depth and discuss how 2025’s Year 9 energy of attainment, closure, and humanitarian leadership also pushed us to let go of what wasn’t serving us so we would have room for the seeds 2026 wants to plant. In the second half of the epi, I help you layer in how your personal year theme will colour what you experience and are motivated to work on this year. You’ll learn how to calculate your personal year number and then learn more about what your number means. I had such fun in this episode - I love numerology! If you’d like a personalised reading to help you set your personal theme for the year using numerology, and discover how your unique Life Path, Soul Urge and Destiny numbers come in the mix to create your soul path, book a spiritual reading at www.tenjimoyana.com/book
  • 45. Season 2 begins: Life update, moving to Zimbabwe and wisdom from mushroom ceremonies 03.02.2026 1t 4min
Hi lovers, I’m back after a little break from the pod. I’m experimenting with recording in seasons - dropping a few juicy episodes for you to binge to in meaningful chunks. Tell me what you think about this new model - I’m excited to give it a try. To kick off, let’s talk about my move back to Zimbabwe, where I’m from. And finally, let me share the card for this season from Kyle Gray’s Angels and Ancestors oracle deck: Snake - Shed old skin. Enjoy and catch you again soon.
  • 44. 5 fun spiritual things ChatGPT wants you to know about me 02.10.2025 37min
What a fun episode! I felt like keeping things lighthearted today so I asked ChatGPT - I call her Illuma - to ask me 5 fun spiritual questions it would ask me if it were a fellow mystic meeting me for the first time. What a delight. We talk about favourite tools and practices, secrets I haven’t told anyone before, messages from my future self, the soundtrack to my spiritual journey (this was a hard one!) and what I’d talk about if my future self dropped by for tea. Tuck into this cozy episode and if you feel inspired to, maybe you can ask yourself these cool questions and get to know yourself or a friend better in a lovely way. And I’d love to get to know you better and hear your answer to any of the questions Illuma asked me - please share in the comments if you feel inspired :)See you in the next one!
  • 43. Find your hidden soul path with Sidereal Human Design 25.09.2025 1t 19min
Today’s episode started as a life update and evolved into a deep-dive into how my experience exploring and experimenting with my sidereal Human Design chart is teaching me so much about my hidden soul lessons, my secret soul longings and the difference between my personality and psyche vs my soul’s truth.I share where I think Tropical human design fits in our personal development work (showing us the masks we wear and helping us articulate the path we’ve walked before our spiritual awakening) and what Sidereal human design can offer (showing us our soul’s truth and dharma and the path we may be invited to walk once we have deconditioned out of a good chunk of our societal programming, shadow behaviours and limiting beliefs). As always, I’m on a path of finding deeper wisdom and expanding in awareness so I don’t pretend to be an expert or have the final answer on anything - there is no such thing as absolute truth anyway. So listen to this episode with the perspective that this is my evolving truth and the meaning I’m finding in my path and it may not necessarily mirror what you understand about or are experiencing in your path.Thank you for being here x
  • 42. Virgo season: Is the pursuit of harmony and service to others keeping us sick? 17.09.2025 1t 18min
Virgo season is winding down! Virgo governs the 6th house in astrology which governs healing, service, work life and routines. So this time of year will offer us opportunities to strengthen and support these areas of our life.I’ve been learning a lot about psychosomatic symptoms, the link between trauma, the nervous system and physical illness, and how healing our emotional wounds and addressing mindsets that are keeping us trapped in suffering are powerful tools to heal the body beyond what medicine and lifestyle changes have been able to offer me.But here’s the kicker. With Libra in the 6th house in my natal chart, I’ve had a tough pill to swallow about how the pursuit of harmony and service to others in my relationships at the expense of my physical wellbeing might be what’s keeping me sick. It makes perfect sense and I see this theme all over my life. It’s time to make a change. Pull out your astrology chart and follow along if you want to explore what themes might be at play for you that Virgo’s energy or the 6th house’s themes are activating in this season. For the Astro nerds: My 5th house is in Virgo, my 6th house is in Libra, Venus is in my 9th house so spiritual philosophy and the right fundamental truths (mindset and life) are core to my 6th house healing journey, and Venus is my chart ruler.Thank you for joining me :) See you next time!
  • 41. It’s ok to say no to more growth 11.09.2025 49min
I realised recently that I’ve been living my life like it’s a job in which I have no rights and no benefits. Always saying yes to every growth opportunity - even when I don’t have mental, physical or emotional capacity for more. Life isn’t a job, an obligation and a game of endurance that you get an A for if you struggle hard enough. We get to be happy, joyful, safe, and to know when we’ve reached a limit and choose not to engage with more spiritual work, personal growth, and life up-leveling. We get to coast. Why? Because it’s our life and we decide what’s good enough for our souls - especially if we believe that we are loved unconditionally and there are no prizes in heaven for A+ performers.BUT this goes against everything I’ve been taught and raised in! So, let’s talk it out.
  • 40. Does risk avoidance actually keep us safe? 11.08.2025 39min
Ciao tutti! I’m on the cusp of launching a new venture in my business and so much fear is coming up as I gear up to do it. So, today I’m chatting about risk - something I’ve had to think a lot about as I take this step - and how hard it is to take a big, bright, bold step towards what we most desire to experience in our lives.Life is as abundant as we choose for it to be, but how do we believe that when the potential fallout is terrifying? Why is risk so scary? What is our fear of moving forward showing us we need to work on within ourselves? What lies have we believed about risk vs. Reward that just aren’t true? What limiting beliefs do we need to throw away if we want to have the life we dream of?Join me as I get vulnerable and pave a possible path forward.
  • 39. Gemini season: Own your voice, express your truth, explore new identities 07.06.2025 58min
Gemini is here and bringing the energy of self-expression, playfulness, evolution without the pressure to define oneself, and trusting your voice. Today I share my experience learning how to let go of old identities and rigid philosophies and expectations of myself, and how to embrace curiosity, an adaptable sense of identity, and self-definition instead of being defined by the beliefs held by my family, romantic partners, jobs, and religion. It’s about the courage to define myself and express who I am even as I continue to change and explore new truths. For the astrology-curious, we deep dive these themes through my North/South Node evolutionary path and I help you explore your own path using your natal astrology chart. I have North Node in Gemini in the 1st house and South Node in Sagittarius in the 7th house :)The app I mention is Astrology Master. I also share a 2-card mini reading for the energy we’re invited by the universe to embrace so that we can fully own our voice, and what we need to let go of.Enjoy x
