  • Entrepreneurship 101 in its first season, features Crispin Leyser talking about about Why poker mirrors the decision-making process for business and life. 01.09.2026 30min
Crispin Leyser Executive training using poker as a game-based learning tool to enhance decision-making when information is incomplete, emotions are high and outcomes matter I'm British. I've been in LA for 23 years. I spent 17 years as Channel 4's LA-based consultant for acquisitions and co-productions. But during that time I also became a professional poker player and instructor for World Poker Tour Bootcamps, teaching classes across America how to become a better poker player. But what struck me even then, was that I wasn't just teaching people how to become better at poker. I was teaching them how to become better at life. That ranges from simple life lessons about controlling the controllables (such as your emotions and game selection); to more complex decision-making concepts such as expected value. Tens of thousands of people in LA have lost their jobs, arguably on the backs of bad decisions taken by studios and networks over the years. So I made a decision. To set up The Winning Hand and marry my poker skills with my executive background to provide leaders with a roadmap for better decision-making.
  • Omer Gabay: Building an AI Second Brain to Reclaim Focus and Human Curiosity 30.08.2026 27min

He quit his job and left university to go all in on it with his best friend. Topics he speaks on: Why the attention economy is rewiring how we think, and what curiosity management offers instead What neuroscience says about focus, memory, and learning in an age of infinite content Building an AI startup from nothing, including the honest parts of fundraising and go to market First principles thinking, drawn from his years as a competitive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete Omer has been building since he was 15, when he won a startup pitch competition in the MEET program in front of Facebook executives. He studied Neuroscience at Amsterdam University College and now leads growth and partnerships at MindStash. He goes deep on ideas and is just as happy telling concrete stories from inside the build. • Leadership Begins Within: Dr. Jessie and Omar Ferreira on Transforming Yourself and Organizational Culture 29.08.2026 29min
Dr. Jessie And Omar Ferreira Lead Your Life. Shape Your Culture. Begin Within. Omar and Dr. Jessie Ferreira are the co-founders of ASQ Empowerment and the architects of the Fractal Coherence Methodology, a framework built on a single governing premise: leadership that begins within is the only kind that lasts. Together, they bring a rare combination to any podcast conversation. Drawing from their combined experience in operational nonprofit and higher education, they name the structural patterns underneath the problems leaders are already living, the feedback loops, the systems archetypes, the organizational dynamics that produce predictable outcomes and resist every individually-targeted intervention. They do not speak in abstractions. They work from precision, the specific fractal relationship between a leader's inner architecture and the organizational conditions that architecture produces. Their diagnostic lens operates at two scales simultaneously: the person carrying the weight and the system that either compounds or exhausts that weight. This is not a leadership inspiration conversation. When Omar and Jessie join a show, the audience gets something more useful: the experience of having their situation named with more accuracy than they expected, and a structural understanding of what creates it and what resolves it.
  • Stacie Shifflett: Modern Consciousness, Clearer Thinking & the Power of Intentional Choices 28.08.2026 26min
Stacie Shifflett Founder & Architect of Modern Consciousness® Stacie Shifflett is the Founder and Architect of Modern Consciousness®, a philosophy and framework for strengthening our capacity to think with greater clarity, discernment, and intention. Her perspective wasn't developed from theory alone. It was shaped through decades of building businesses, leading teams, navigating major life transitions, and trying to understand why people think, choose, respond, and experience life as they do. Her path has been anything but conventional. She has worked in government technology, built and led businesses across very different industries, navigated the acquisition of a $50 million company, rebuilt her life following the end of a 28-year marriage, and continued to reinvent both her work and herself along the way. Across seemingly unrelated experiences and challenges, she began recognizing something consistent: the quality of our lives is influenced not only by what happens to us, but by the human capabilities we bring to what happens. That recognition eventually became Modern Consciousness®. Today, Stacie explores the questions, assumptions, patterns, interpretations, and choices that influence how we experience and engage with our lives. Her work is less about telling people what to think or giving them another formula to follow, and more about strengthening the capabilities that help us think for ourselves, examine what we believe, recognize what we may be missing, and make more intentional choices. Stacie is also the author of Treasure Map to Joy™, an Amazon bestselling parable that explores joy not simply as something we pursue, but as something our relationship with life can either support or constrain. She has coauthored with Jack Canfield and Les Brown and co-produced Lisa Nichols' Broadway show When My Soul Speaks. What Stacie Brings to a Podcast Conversation Stacie brings an unusual combination of real-world experience, intellectual curiosity, humor, and a willingness to examine ideas from more than one angle. She doesn't arrive with a canned speech or a predetermined answer. She brings distinctions, questions, stories, and perspectives that give hosts and listeners something to think about long after the conversation ends. Her conversations can explore everything from decision debt and the limits of our influence to our interpretations of reality, the questions directing our attention, and what our relationship with joy may reveal about how we're engaging with life.
  • John Cavendish on Founder Growth, Scaling Beyond Yourself and Building a Smarter Business Exit 27.08.2026 25min
John Cavendish Three-time exited founder and NLP Master Practitioner, now advising operators in their second decade of building. I spent around fifteen years building and selling businesses. Three exits, most recently Seller Candy, where I sold the majority stake in December 2024 and kept a quarter. My track record sits in ecommerce and the Amazon space. Now I advise founders who are well past the startup stage. Not first-timers. People ten to twenty years in, often on their second or third company, often after an exit. The advice aimed at new founders runs out fast at that level. The real problems are different: how to scale without the business breaking, how to structure an exit so you keep what you earned, what to build when the money is no longer the point, and how to do any of it without the work taking over your health and your family. There is a pattern in almost all of them. The business grew and the founder did not grow fast enough to get out of the way, so the founder becomes the bottleneck on the thing they built. No amount of strategy or systems fixes that until the person changes first. I work on both halves at once, the commercial mechanics and the psychology underneath them. I am an NLP Master Practitioner with around 400 hours of training, and I use that alongside operating experience, not instead of it. I am British, based in Hoi An, Vietnam, and I advise founders across several countries from here. For a show, I am most useful on three things: the second-decade founder and why early-stage advice stops working; exits from the inside, including the deal terms that catch first-time sellers; and the founder who has become the limit on their own business, and what actually shifts that. I bring concrete stories and straight talk, no hype.
