  • 44: Sam Griffiths' Training, from 125kg to 180km/week 06.08.2026 59min
There is no better confirmation that training works than Sam's (aka globerunnergriff) journey. He went from 125kg to a 2:22 marathon in 3 years, driven by grit and consistency. We go into his training from the early injury-riddled days of starting out, then pushing through and building up the mileage over time.NB: Sam's been a kaizen user for over a year primarily tracking progress trends, although he'd NEVER fine tuned his predictions. So whilst his progression is an accurate, the final numbers are off (which is mentioned). We dialled everything in after the recording.Sam's training is all available here: https://www.strava.com/athletes/32613852--kaizenDownload the app: https://kaizen.app.link/milesbetterStrava club: https://www.strava.com/clubs/runkaizenWebsite: https://runkaizen.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/runkaizen/Michael: https://www.strava.com/athletes/32067191Josh: https://www.strava.com/athletes/1721750

  • 26: Dan Robinson OLY 30.04.2025 1t 3min
We spoke with Dan Robinson, a 2:12 marathoner who ran for GB in the 2000s. His notable achievements include a bronze medal at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games marathon, top 25 at both the Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Olympics, a 9th in the 2007 London Marathon and an 11th and 12th place at the World Championships.Dan tells us how he got into running accidentally, his love of the treadmill, and how he educated himself on training. Very refreshing to hear from someone who — at the top of their game — trained hard, without too much emphasis on the specifics. --KaizenDownload the app: https://kaizen.app.link/milesbetterStrava club: https://www.strava.com/clubs/runkaizenWeb: https://runkaizen.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/runkaizen/Michael: https://www.strava.com/athletes/32067191Josh: https://www.strava.com/athletes/1721750
