127. Watch Your Walk, Not the Outcome 16.09.2026 58minA practical, faith-centered look at Ephesians 5:15–21 and what it means to walk wisely, surrender outcomes to God, and live led by the Holy Spirit. Danielle also uses the Happy Kid Toolkit to help listeners recognize control, blame, helplessness, and overfunctioning—and return to healthier, Spirit-led responsibility. -
126. When the Ship Breaks Apart: Trusting God With the Outcome 09.09.2026 50minIn this episode, I walk through Acts 27 and what it teaches us about trusting God when life feels uncertain, outcomes are out of our control, and the “ship” we thought would carry us begins to break apart. We’ll explore stewardship versus control, releasing the cargo we were never meant to carry, and remembering that God’s faithfulness is not measured by our circumstances. -
125. Are We Christians—or Are We Actually Following Jesus? 02.09.2026 51minIn Episode 125, I’m asking a question that has been deeply convicting for me: Are we simply identifying as Christians, or are we actually following Jesus? Through Acts 21–23, I explore cultural Christianity, “Country Club Christianity,” discernment versus self-righteousness, repentance, surrender, and what it really looks like to become more like Christ. This episode is a heartfelt invitation to let the Holy Spirit turn the mirror toward our own hearts and ask where Jesus may be calling us into deeper obedience. -
124. When You Know the Truth but Life Still Hurts, Part 2: Suffering, Weakness, Hope, and the Love That Will Not Let You Go 26.08.2026 52minWhat happens when you’re trying to trust God and life still hurts? In Part 2 of this Romans 8 series, Danielle explores suffering, unanswered prayer, surrender, moving the finish line from outcome to obedience, Romans 8:28, and the powerful promise that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ. -
123. When You Know the Truth but Still Don’t Feel Free, Part 1: From Condemnation to Beloved Daughter 19.08.2026 51minWhat if you know God loves you, you know you’re forgiven, and you know there is “no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”—but you’re still living like you have something to prove? You replay conversations. You feel guilty when you rest. Someone else’s disappointment makes you question yourself. You over-explain, over-function, try to control outcomes, or quietly wonder whether you’re doing enough. In Episode 123, Part 1 of this two-part Romans 8 series, Danielle explores the disconnect between knowing God’s truth and actually living like it is true. Together, we’ll unpack Romans 8:1–17 and talk about: The difference between conviction and condemnation Why shame attacks your identity while biblical conviction invites you toward God The hidden beliefs underneath people-pleasing, control, rescuing, perfectionism, and over-functioning Why we often react not only to what happened, but to what we believe it means What it means to move from a spirit of slavery and fear into adoption How to recognize an “orphan mindset” even when you know you belong to Christ Why “I belong before I perform” changes the way we understand obedience How grace frees us to change without requiring us to earn God’s love The Romans 8 Pause, a practical five-question tool for recognizing old stories and choosing a Spirit-led response You do not have to earn a verdict God has already given you. You do not have to keep auditioning for love. And you do not have to punish yourself for what Jesus has already carried. You belong before you perform. In Part 2, we’ll continue through Romans 8 and ask another deeply personal question: What happens when I know I’m God’s beloved daughter…and life still hurts? Ready for Deeper Support? Sometimes we know what is true, but old beliefs, family patterns, wounds, shame, codependency, relationship struggles, church hurt, fear, or unhealthy boundaries keep pulling us back into familiar ways of living. Through biblical counseling and faith-based coaching, Danielle works with individuals, couples, and families to identify the beliefs and patterns keeping them stuck and begin practicing healthier, Christ-centered ways of living and relating. 122. Learning to Trust Yourself, Others, and God Again 12.08.2026 23minAfter church hurt, betrayal, spiritual abuse, or unhealthy relationships, learning to trust again can feel impossible. In this final episode of our three-part healing series, Danielle shares a biblical roadmap for rebuilding trust in yourself, healthy relationships, and ultimately in God. Discover the difference between discernment and suspicion, how trauma impacts trust, and why true healing doesn’t make your heart harder—it makes it whole. -
121. When You Don't Know Who You Are Anymore: Rebuilding Identity After Trauma, Loss, and Control 05.08.2026 22minHave you ever looked in the mirror and wondered, ”Who am I anymore?” Not because you’ve forgotten your name, but because somewhere along the way you’ve spent so much time taking care of everyone else, meeting expectations, surviving hard things, and carrying responsibilities that you’ve lost sight of the person God created you to be. Maybe you’ve become the helper. The fixer. The peacemaker (aka peacefaker). The strong one. The responsible one. Maybe you’ve spent years proving your worth through performance, people-pleasing, achievement, ministry, parenting, or simply holding everything together. I know that struggle because I’ve lived it too. In this episode, we’re talking about what happens when trauma, family dysfunction, church hurt, loss, disappointment, unhealthy relationships, and painful life experiences begin shaping our identity more than God’s truth. We’ll explore the difference between who you are and the survival strategies you developed to make it through difficult seasons. We’ll look at how the Unhappy Kid Triangle often reveals the false identities we carry, why trauma distorts our core beliefs, and what Scripture teaches about who we truly are in Christ. Most importantly, we’ll talk about how healing isn’t just about recovering from what happened to you. It’s about remembering who you are. If you’ve ever struggled with people-pleasing, perfectionism, codependency, shame, control, fear, or feeling disconnected from yourself and from God, I pray this conversation encourages you. Friend, your identity is not your trauma. It is not your performance. It is not your mistakes. It is not the role you’ve played in your family. Your identity is found in Christ. And that changes everything. xoxo, Danielle - - - - - - - - - - 💛 Ready to go deeper? ➡️ Join me for the next “Renew & Restore” Women’s Healing Retreat — For women of all ages who are ready to heal, rest, and reconnect with God. 120. Who Told You That? Reclaiming Your Voice, Grieving Your Losses, and Learning to Trust Go Again 29.07.2026 21minWho told you that? Many of us carry voices from our past that continue to shape our decisions, relationships, and identity long after the people themselves are gone. Maybe it was a parent. A pastor. A church leader. A spouse. A teacher. A friend. Over time, those voices can become louder than God’s voice. In this episode, Danielle explores how unhealthy family systems, codependency, spiritual control, and church hurt can lead us to question our discernment, lose confidence in our identity, and struggle to trust God. You’ll learn: • How people lose their voice and identity in unhealthy systems • The difference between healthy spiritual authority and spiritual control • Why grief is a necessary part of healing from church hurt and relational trauma • How the Unhappy Kid Triangle keeps people trapped in fear, approval-seeking, and self-doubt • What Scripture teaches about hearing God’s voice and walking in wisdom • Practical steps for reclaiming your identity and learning to trust God again If you’ve ever struggled with people-pleasing, fear of disappointing others, church hurt, spiritual abuse, codependency, or trusting your own discernment, this episode is for you. xoxo, Danielle - - - - - - - - - - 💛 Ready to go deeper? ➡️ Read the companion blog: When Someone Else’s Voice Becomes Louder Than God’s Book a family coaching or biblical counseling session: happyfamilycoach.com ➡️ Purchase the Happy Kid Toolkit: happykidtoolkit.com ➡️ Apply for a FREE on-air family counseling session — Click here to sign up ➡️ Download the FREE Letter of Release Guide — Learn how to release what you’ve been carrying and renew your mind with God’s truth. ➡️ Get your FREE e-book, “The Healing Mirror: Turning Pain into Purpose.” Subscribe and receive it instantly! ➡️ Discover your role on the Unhappy Kid Triangle — Take the quiz here. ➡️ Join me for the upcoming Renew & Restore Women’s Healing Retreat. 119: After the Crisis: The Heart Work Most People Skip | Nehemiah 8, Grief, Healing, and Heart Restoration 22.07.2026 54minWhat happens when the crisis is over… but your heart still isn’t healed? Many of us know how to survive difficult seasons. We push through divorce, betrayal, church hurt, addiction, health challenges, family dysfunction, grief, and loss. We rebuild our lives, keep moving forward, and convince ourselves we’re doing fine. But what if surviving the crisis was never the finish line? In this episode, I walk through Nehemiah 8 and reveal a truth many Christians miss: after the wall was rebuilt, God’s deepest work was just beginning. The people of Israel gathered around God’s Word, experienced conviction, lamented their losses, and allowed God to rebuild their hearts. Through personal testimony, biblical teaching, and practical application, I explore: • Why grief and lament are essential parts of healing • The difference between conviction and shame • Why many people stay stuck after the crisis ends • How childhood wounds and core beliefs continue to shape adult relationships • The three positions on the Unhappy Kid Triangle: Helpless Baby, Bossy Helper, and Blaming Bully • How to move toward the Happy Kid, Caring Friend, and Respectful Leader • Practical steps for allowing God to rebuild your heart If you’ve ever felt like you’ve rebuilt your life but still carry wounds beneath the surface, this episode will encourage you to slow down, tell the truth, grieve what was lost, and trust God with the deeper healing process. xoxo, Danielle Resources Mentioned: ✨ Read the companion blog: How God Rebuilds More Than Circumstances ✨ Take the FREE Quiz: Discover Your Go-To Position on the Unhappy Kid Triangle ✨ Learn more about biblical counseling, family coaching, the Happy Kid Toolkit, and upcoming Renew & Restore Women’s Healing Retreats Remember: The crisis was never the finish line. 118. You Are Not Responsible for Their Choices: Ezekiel 33 and the Freedom of Letting Go 15.07.2026 33minHave you ever felt emotionally exhausted trying to fix, carry, or change someone else? Maybe it’s your husband. Your child. A friend. A parent. You’ve prayed. You’ve explained. You’ve warned. You’ve tried harder. You’ve carried more. And somewhere along the way… you started carrying weight that was never yours to hold. I know this place well. Not from theory… but from real life. From relationships that felt heavy. From seasons where I thought loving someone meant managing them, fixing them, or holding everything together. But over time, God began to gently show me something that changed everything: I was taking responsibility for things He never asked me to carry. In this episode, I’m walking you through Book of Ezekiel chapter 33 and the role of the watchman—because it brings so much clarity to one of the most important questions we face in relationships: Where does my responsibility end… and where does theirs begin? We’ll talk about: • The difference between warning and controlling • Why so many of us feel emotionally overwhelmed in relationships • How to stop over-functioning and release what isn’t yours • What it looks like to tell the truth in love without carrying the outcome • How this connects to emotional responsibility and the patterns we fall into • And how to begin walking in healthy, biblical boundaries with peace and clarity This isn’t about pulling away or loving people less. It’s about loving them from the right place—without stepping into a role that belongs to God. Friend… You are responsible for your obedience. You are not responsible for their choices. And there is so much freedom on the other side of that truth. 117. When God Humbles the Proud: The Hidden Danger of Self-Sufficiency 08.07.2026 27minThere’s a kind of pride that doesn’t look arrogant at all. It looks responsible. Capable. Helpful. Successful. Needed. But underneath it… is a quiet drift into self-sufficiency. And over time, that drift will leave your soul exhausted, your relationships strained, and your identity fragile. In this episode, we take a deep dive into Daniel 4—the story of King Nebuchadnezzar, a man who had everything the world could offer… and still lost his sanity because he believed he was the source of his own strength. This chapter is more than a historical account—it’s a mirror. We explore: The hidden danger of self-sufficiency How pride creates emotional instability in our lives and relationships Why success can quietly pull us away from dependence on God The connection between pride and the Unhappy Kid Triangle How God lovingly humbles us—not to shame us, but to restore us What true repentance actually looks like (it’s not what you think) Why “lifting your eyes to heaven” changes everything If you’ve been feeling: overwhelmed trying to hold everything together emotionally reactive or easily triggered stuck in control, performance, or pressure spiritually dry despite doing “all the right things” This episode will meet you right where you are. Because sometimes the most loving thing God can do… is dismantle the false foundation we’ve been standing on. And invite us into something deeper, steadier, and far more freeing. ✨ Next Steps & Resources If this episode spoke to you, here are a few ways to go deeper: → Read the companion blog: When God Humbles the Proud: The Hidden Danger of Self-Sufficiency → Book a Biblical Counseling or Family Coaching session: (Work through identity, emotional patterns, and relational healing in a safe, Spirit-led space) → Explore the Happy Kid Toolkit + Reality Mat: (Learn how to move from reactivity → responsibility → emotional maturity) → Join me at an upcoming Renew & Restore Women’s Healing Retreat (A space for deep healing, renewal, and Spirit-led transformation) → Subscribe to my weekly email for encouragement + free resources 🤍 A Small Ask If this podcast is encouraging you, would you take a moment to leave a written review on Apple Podcasts? 116. You Don’t Have to Pretend You’re Okay: A Biblical Path Through Grief and Hope 01.07.2026 26minYou don’t have to pretend you’re okay to have real faith. So many men and women are quietly carrying grief, disappointment, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion… while still showing up every day with a smile. Holding it together. Staying strong. Pushing through. But inside? It feels heavy. And somewhere along the way, many of us learned—directly or indirectly—that being a “good Christian” means staying positive, keeping it together, and not letting anyone see us struggle. But that’s not what Scripture teaches. In this episode, we take a deep dive into Lamentations 3—a chapter written in the middle of devastation, sorrow, and emotional exhaustion—and yet right in the center of it, we find one of the most powerful declarations of hope in all of Scripture: “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope…” Together, we explore what it looks like to: process grief honestly without suppressing it understand the difference between lament and emotional spiraling interrupt the thoughts that keep you stuck in despair renew your mind in the middle of suffering and anchor your heart in God’s unchanging character when life feels overwhelming We’ll also connect this to emotional health and the patterns we often fall into—like the Unhappy Kid Triangle—and how unresolved pain can quietly shape the way we think, feel, and relate. This is not about pretending everything is okay. This is about learning how to walk through pain without losing your hope, your peace, or your faith. Because you don’t have to choose between being honest about your grief… and trusting God. You can do both. 🎙️ Listen in, and be reminded: God is not asking you to hide your grief. He is inviting you to bring it to Him. And even here… His mercies are still new every morning. 🔗 Next Steps If this episode encouraged you: Read the companion blog: When You Feel Emotionally Exhausted: A Biblical Path to Hope in the Middle of Suffering Book a Biblical Counseling or Family Coaching session with me Explore The Happy Kid Toolkit Learn more about my Renew & Restore Women’s Healing Retreats Subscribe to my weekly emails for encouragement and free resources And if this message spoke to you, would you take a moment to leave a written review on Apple Podcasts? 115. How Spiritual Numbness Quietly Takes Over Your Heart 24.06.2026 19minFriend… What if the greatest danger to your spiritual life isn’t obvious rebellion… but a heart that slowly stops feeling? In this episode, we take a deep and honest look at Ezekiel 9—a powerful and sobering passage that reveals how spiritual numbness forms over time, often quietly and unnoticed. We’re not talking about perfection here. We’re talking about something much deeper: 👉 The condition of your heart 👉 Your sensitivity to conviction 👉 And whether you’re still responding when God speaks Because in Ezekiel 9, God makes a distinction—not between perfect people and sinful people… but between those who have grown numb… and those who are still tender. In this episode, we explore: How spiritual numbness slowly takes root in your heart and home Why conviction is actually a gift from the Holy Spirit The meaning behind those who “sigh and groan” over sin How this connects to emotional health and the Unhappy Kid Triangle What it looks like to stay soft, aware, and aligned with God This isn’t about fear or shame. It’s an invitation. To wake up. To realign. To come back to a heart that still feels, responds, and stays close to Him. ✨ You don’t have to be perfect… but you do have to stay tender. xoxo, Danielle 🔗 Next Steps & Resources 👉 Read the companion blog + listen in one place: (Insert your blog link) 👉 Book a Biblical Counseling or Family Coaching session 👉 Get the Happy Kid Toolkit 👉 Join me at the upcoming Renew & Restore Women’s Healing Retreat 👉 Free resource for teens & parents: “You’re Not Alone” devotional -

In Episode 114, I’m talking about something many Christians were never taught how to do: lament. We’ll walk through: What biblical grief actually looks like How we unintentionally minimize pain Why unprocessed grief shows up as anxiety, control, and emotional reactivity How the Unhappy Kid Triangle keeps you stuck And how to move toward healing using the Happy Kid Triangle I also walk through powerful verses from Lamentations 1 and show you how God makes space for your grief—not just your strength. ✨ Read the companion blog here: Stop Minimizing Your Grief: How to Lament, Heal, and Move Forward with God ✨ Book a Biblical Counseling or Family Coaching session with me ✨ Get the Happy Kid Toolkit ✨ Learn about upcoming Renew & Restore Women’s Healing Retreats If this episode encouraged you, please share it and leave a written review—it helps more families find healing. xoxo, Danielle -

When God Says “I’m Not Done”: Healing, Hope, and the Promise of a New Heart 10.06.2026 24minThere are seasons in life when grief feels overwhelming… when the pain lingers longer than you expected… and when you quietly wonder, “Why am I still here?” If you’ve ever felt stuck in your healing, discouraged by your progress, or weighed down by what you’ve lost—this episode is for you. In today’s episode, we take a deep, compassionate dive into Book of Jeremiah 31:15–40—a powerful passage that holds both raw grief and radical hope. You’ll hear the haunting image of Rachel weeping… but you’ll also discover the heart of a God who does not rush your pain, shame your weakness, or abandon you in your suffering. Instead, He meets you there. Together, we explore: What it means to grieve with God instead of rushing past it Why your healing may feel slow—and why that doesn’t mean you’re failing How to recognize and replace the lies that often attach themselves to grief The truth about God’s heart toward you in your most broken moments The promise of the New Covenant—and what it means for true, lasting heart transformation This episode is a gentle but powerful reminder: You are not behind. You are not too much. And God is not finished with your story. He is restoring. He is renewing. We’re uncovering the core beliefs formed in childhood that still shape how you think, feel, and respond in your marriage today. In this powerful and deeply practical episode, I unpack why apologies alone don’t heal relationships—and what real, biblical repentance actually looks like. You’ll learn the difference between worldly sorrow and godly sorrow, how the Unhappy Kid Triangle shows up in conflict, and why true transformation requires more than words—it requires a renewed mind and a changed direction. 110. When Deception Feels Normal: The Lie You Didn't Know You Were Living From 20.05.2026 23minWhat if the reason you keep reacting the same way…isn’t because you lack self-control… …but because you’re believing something that isn’t true? Friend, this is a message that has been sitting heavy on my heart—because I see it every day in the counseling room, and if I’m honest, I’ve seen it in my own life too. In The Bible, Isaiah 44 gives us a sobering picture of deception—a man holding something in his hand that he believes will save him… and yet Scripture says: “He could not say, ‘Is there not a lie in my right hand?’” That line has stayed with me. Because so often, we’re not just reacting…we’re reacting from what we believe is true. In this episode, I’m walking you through: How hidden core beliefs shape your emotions, triggers, and relationship patterns Why the same reactions keep showing up (even when you want to change) How this connects to the Unhappy Kid Triangle (UHKT) and the roles we fall into What it actually looks like to begin renewing your mind with God’s truth (Romans 12:2) We’re not just talking about behavior change here. We’re going deeper—into the beliefs underneath it all. Because when deception feels normal…it takes truth to set you free. ✍️ Companion Blog (Read + Listen in One Place) I also wrote a companion blog post that focuses specifically on identifying the lies beneath your reactions and how to begin replacing them with truth: “The Lie Beneath the Reaction: How Hidden Beliefs Shape Your Emotions, Triggers, and Relationships.” If you’re someone who likes to process, journal, or sit with things more slowly, this will be a powerful next step for you. 109. Truth That Heals vs. Comfort That Keeps You Stuck 13.05.2026 26minThere is a kind of comfort that feels good in the moment… but quietly keeps you stuck. And if we’re not careful, we can start to prefer feeling better over actually being transformed. In this episode, I’m inviting you into a deeper, more honest conversation about why we resist truth—and how choosing comfort over truth can keep us trapped in painful patterns in our relationships, our thinking, and our emotional responses. We’re walking through Isaiah 30 and uncovering what it means when God’s people said, “Tell us pleasant things…”—and how that same tendency can show up in our lives today. I’m also sharing a powerful and much-needed teaching on admonishing and rebuking—what they actually mean biblically, how they fit within love and grace, and why avoiding them can keep us (and the people we love) stuck in cycles that never truly change. If you’ve ever: Avoided hard conversations to keep the peace Struggled to receive correction without becoming defensive Found yourself repeating the same relational patterns Or felt torn between being “kind” and being truthful This episode is for you. Because God is not asking you to live in illusion… He’s inviting you into truth that heals. 🌿 Read + Listen in One Place I wrote a companion blog for this episode where we go even deeper into this conversation from a different angle: 👉 “When Comfort Keeps You Stuck: Why We Resist the Truth That Heals” 🌿 Ready to Go Deeper? 108. When Motherhood Feels Overwhelming: Learning to Trust God and Let Go of Control 06.05.2026 19minMotherhood can feel overwhelming—especially when fear, anxiety, and the need to control begin to take over. In this episode, I’m sharing a very personal part of my story from my early days as a single mom—walking through the pain of divorce, the uncertainty of my children’s future, and the quiet fear that can creep in when life feels out of your control. I remember what it felt like to carry so much… and not know how everything would turn out. And as I sat with the Lord recently, He brought me to Psalm 105—not to give me a strategy, but to remind me of something I had forgotten: 👉 The power of remembering His faithfulness. Because when we forget who God is, we start carrying things that were never ours to hold. But when we remember… Everything begins to shift. In this episode, I’m gently walking you through: how fear can quietly drive our parenting why we move into control, striving, or overwhelm how to surrender what isn’t yours to carry and how to trust that God is still writing your child’s story—even when you can’t see it If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed as a mom… if you’ve been trying to hold everything together… I want you to know—you’re not alone in this. 🌿 Companion Blog (Read + Listen in One Place) If you want to slow down and reflect more deeply, I wrote a companion blog for this episode where you can read through the message and process it at your own pace: 👉 When Motherhood Feels Overwhelming: Learning to Trust God and Let Go of Control 💛 If You’re Ready to Go Deeper If this is something you’re walking through right now and you want support, I’d love to walk alongside you. ✨ You can book a biblical counseling or family coaching session with me where we’ll gently uncover what’s driving the overwhelm and help you move toward peace, clarity, and truth. ✨ The Happy Kid Toolkit is also a powerful resource I’ve created to help families grow in emotional regulation, responsibility, and healthy, Christ-centered communication. ✨ And if your heart is longing for a deeper reset, my Renew & Restore Women’s Healing Retreats are sacred spaces where women come to slow down, encounter God, and experience real healing and restoration. 🌱 For Teen Moms & Parents of Hurting Teens If you or your teen are in a hard season, I created something just for you: 💛 You can download my free devotional, “You’re Not Alone” (for Teens & Parents)—a 14-day guided journey to help teens process pain and begin healing, with a parent guide to walk alongside them. 🤍 Final Encouragement Friend… God has not forgotten you. And He has not forgotten your child. Even when it feels uncertain… even when you can’t see what He’s doing… 👉 He is still working. xoxo, Danielle
