2 Chronicles 25-26 18.09.2026 26分Though it's hard for some of us to admit, we all have a tendency toward pride. That's especially true when God uses us. It sure is important to give credit where credit is due. Think about it, what do we have that we didn't receive? This is Hope From The Word. On today's broadcast we take another look at the Historical record of the kings of Judah found in Second Chronicles. We'll be in chapters twenty-five and twenty-six discussing the end of the reign of king Amaziah and then move into the reign of Uzziah. He's a good King but still he falls prey to sin of pride. Like with Amaziah, prosperity becomes a snare for him. With their stories, here's Pastor Bill in chapter twenty-five starting in verse twenty… To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1698/29?v=20251111 -
2 Chronicles 25-26 17.09.2026 26分I think we've all done something sort of half-heartedly. We may have gotten away with it in school, or on the job, but when we try to go that route in our relationship with God we get into real trouble every time. Our example is King Amaziah. He was faithful early on in his reign, but after he united with the ungodly, his relationship with the Lord went downhill. If you've been with us recently on Hope From The Word, that's been the troubling trend that we've seen in these Kings of late. Here's Bill Luebkemann in Second Chronicles 25… To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1698/29?v=20251111 -
2 Chronicles 23-24 16.09.2026 26分Many of us are blessed with precious and godly influences in our lives whether it's a dad, friend, or even co-worker. Let's say, they're suddenly taken from you. What would happen to you? Today on Hope From The Word we'll meet a King who was easily influenced, for good or bad. He became like whoever he was around last. Joash started off great, due in large part to the godly priest that influenced him. But then things took a turn for the worse, when his influencer died. I'll let Pastor Bill Luebkemann take it from there. We're in Second Chronicles twenty-four... To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1698/29?v=20251111 -
2 Chronicles 23-24 15.09.2026 26分It's been said that promises are only as strong as the person who gives them. Someone has counted the number of promises given in the Bible, and arrived at 1,260! Each and every one of those promises has been, or will be fulfilled one day. That's because God never fails, and neither do His promises. We'll be reminded of that today on Hope From The Word, as we take you to Second Chronicles twenty-two and twenty-three. It's good to know that we can count on God's Word to be true. Here's why, from Pastor Bill Luebkemann… To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1698/29?v=20251111 -
2 Chronicles 21-22 14.09.2026 26分We tell our kids from an early age, be careful who you hang around. That's because we know peer influence weighs heavily in their lives! But we also need to heed that advice ourselves as adults! Who or what we allow to be influential in our lives is important, young or old! So who are your influencers? The television perhaps, the latest book on the market, or is it a relative or friend? Let's take a careful look at this today on Hope From The Word. Pastor Bill Luebkemann is in Second Chronicles twenty-one. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1698/29?v=20251111 -
2 Chronicles 21-22 11.09.2026 26分I think most of us have at the very least been tempted to enter into a partnership with someone who is far from the Lord. But when we align ourselves with an evil person, we're asking for trouble. Our example today is the King we've been studying here on Hope From The Word. King Jehoshaphat was a righteous and godly leader, but his son Jehoram did not follow is his father's footsteps. Rather if it hadn't been for God's promise to King David to have a descendant of his on the throne forever Jehoram would have been a goner. Let's join Pastor Bill Luebkemann now in Second Chronicles twenty-one. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1698/29?v=20251111 -
2 Chronicles 19-20 10.09.2026 26分When studying the lives of the various Kings of Israel, it's evident that many steered off in the wrong direction. But every so often, a good and godly King would come to the throne and be a breath of fresh air! Such was the case with King Jehoshaphat. He was a true lover of God, an influence for righteousness in the southern Kingdom of Judah. He certainly faced his fair share of adversity, but he handled it right, for the most part. And we'll learn from his great example today on Hope From The Word. When a need arises, or problems occur, Pastor Bill Luebkemann says the first place to go is to God in prayer. And then look to God's promises. We're in Second Chronicles twenty… To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1698/29?v=20251111 -
2 Chronicles 19-20 09.09.2026 26分I don't know about you, but I can think of a lot of people right now that are facing enormous difficulties. Whether it's financial pressure, marital problems, church struggles, or even children that are straying from the Lord, it's during those times that we need to be reminded of the greatness of our God and regain perspective. You see, whatever you're facing today is not greater than God's ability. Today on Hope From the Word, we'll be reminded of that in a powerful way, through a study in Second Chronicles nineteen. 2 Chronicles 17-18 08.09.2026 26分When we left the story of King Jehoshaphat last time on Hope from the Word, things were going great. He was seeking the Lord, doing the right things, and God blessed Him for it. But in Second Chronicles eighteen, he's about to make a tragic mistake. He aligns himself with the King of the North, King Ahab. Now this King was wicked to say the least. So why would good King Jehoshaphat join up with someone so evil? Let's join Pastor Bill Luebkemann and see together what led up to this. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1698/29?v=20251111 -
2 Chronicles 17-18 07.09.2026 26分As we look around, it's not hard to see the real damage that sin causes. The world is continually sinking to new lows, and paying a heavy price. But today on Hope from the Word, we observe what happens when a nation and a leader seek the Lord and are devoted to His ways. The Bible says that the mind set on the Spirit, the ways of the Lord, is life and peace. We've reached Second Chronicles seventeen in our Old Testament study. Pastor Bill Luebkemann is here to teach us some lessons from King Jehosphat's reign. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1698/29?v=20251111 -
2 Chronicles 14-16 04.09.2026 26分The Christian life isn't a sprint, it isn't a stroll in the park either, it's a race; and we're encouraged to run with endurance the race which is set before us. Some start out of the gate quite well but finish weak. Others give up half-way through for one reason or another. How can we be among the few that start and finish well? Today on Hope from the Word we give attention to the life of King Asa. He started strong and ended weak. He made a mistake that has been repeated through the ages. He relied on man's sufficiency instead of relying on God. Operating in the flesh, leads to huge problems, as we'll soon see. Here's Pastor Bill Luebkemann in Second Chronicles fifteen and sixteen... Chronicles 14-16 03.09.2026 26分It really is sad to see someone start out so well, but fizzle near the finish line. They started strong out of the gate but end weak. Such was the life story of a king we'll meet today on Hope from the Word. You'll find his story in Second Chronicles fourteen. This is a good warning for each of us to rely on the grace of God and serve the Lord faithfully all of the days of our lives. Here's Pastor Bill Luebkemann with the life of Asa. 2 Chronicles 12-13 02.09.2026 26分We're glad you could join us here on Hope From the Word, the radio ministry of Calvary Chapel of Marlton. Our teacher is Pastor Bill Luebkemann. Self-centered, self-sufficient living always leads to disaster. God has made it clear what path we should follow. If we choose a different path, we can expect difficulty and calamity. We'll see that clearly illustrated today as we look at Second Chronicles chapter thirteen. Here's Pastor Bill. 2 Chronicles 12-13 01.09.2026 26分Abandoning the Lord and His Word is a foolish way to go, and the passage we're about to look at on Hope from the Word is evidence of that. Sometimes, when things are going well, there can be that tendency to think we don't need God anymore. But nothing could be further from the truth. Our need for God never diminishes. Pastor Bill Luebkemann is in a study of Second Chronicles and we've made it to chapter twelve! As you may recall, Judah and Israel are now divided. Let's join Pastor Bill as he takes things from there… To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1698/29?v=20251111
