  Today I said goodbye to an old friend. ❤️🚗 I sold my little white Kia Rio today. I’ve had it since 2016, and even though it was just a car, it was harder to watch it go than I expected. It started out as Granny’s car, and somehow became part of my own story. For ten years it carried me through everyday life, mile after mile, eventually reaching more than 150,000 miles. It certainly had its personality. 😂 The airbag light that refused to go away. The gas gauge that would drop to empty right after I filled the tank—only to magically come back a few miles later. Cruise control gave up years ago. The check-engine light liked to visit whenever it felt lonely. And lately, the engine had developed a few interesting sounds of its own. But that little Kia kept going. And somehow it still managed around 30 miles to the gallon! So I wrote this song as a funny farewell to a car that gave me a lot more years and miles than I ever expected. It’s strange how something as ordinary as a car can become connected to so many memories. Maybe that’s why saying goodbye is a little harder than I thought it would be. Thanks for the ride, little Kia. You did good. ❤️ And Granny… I took pretty good care of your car. Well… mostly. 😂 🎵 Goodbye, Little White Kia 🎵

  Today I turn 62. When I look back, I don’t just see years—I see a journey. I see a young Navy Corpsman, a nurse, a husband, a father and grandfather, a deacon, a writer, and a man who is still learning what it means to trust God. There have been beautiful chapters and difficult ones. There have been plans that worked out exactly as I hoped and others that God completely rewrote. Through all of it, one thing has remained constant: His grace. So I wrote this song, “Sixty-Two Years of Grace,” not because my story is finished, but because I’m realizing how much of it is still being written.
