I found so many amazing tracks I’d forgotten about from the last 3 decades while crate digging for the Paul Oakenfold gig, I thought I’d put an extended mix together. The first 75mins are basically the warm up set I did for the Oaky show, but then the journey continues through progressive house classics, breaks and trance classics for a total of 2.5hrs, taking the journey of a night from warm up to peak set and to close.If you like your classics, then this will put a rather large cheeky smile on your face, as the memories come rushing back.There are a few newish bits thrown in with a couple of housersPress play, turn it up and enjoy the journey from ’95 onwards.

Being asked to play alongside Paul Oakenfold in Liverpool was always going to be special and even though being in the warm up slot, I knew it was going to be an emotional one. From digging deep and finding those goosebump tracks I’d forgotten about, bringing all the amazing memories of nights Cream with my mates come flooding back, through to playing at The Dome, which is a spectacular venue.But this gig surpassed all expectations, the crowd flooded in early, meaning I wasn’t playing to an empty floor, but not only that, they came to party and party they did from the moment they arrived.This mix comprises of progressive classics, with a sprinkling of a few newer tracks, big room house and breaks, just as you might expect for a trance party warm up setI hope you enjoy this mix as much as I did playing it. So, On Hubert Street, what can I say?Firstly, the chance to play this event alongside such an amazing bunch of DJs and legends of the scene was an honour.My set was the warm up and only listened to live by the select few that made it early doors, but warm up is warm up and you have to prep for every eventuality and that’s what I did. Digging deep into the music that really inspired my in the very early 80s of electro funk, funk, soul, disco and edits…as well as a few other bits I don’t normally get to play, thrown in for my personal pleasure.It’s amazing as a DJ when you get to play the music that inspired you, yet for me I never thought I’d actually get the opportunity to do it! I enjoyed it that much, I thought I should share mix with you all….I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did playing it.Very much on an 80's Street Sounds / Electro/ Balearic Beats tipAs for the party, let’s just say, my warm-up was then followed by 12 hours of musical magic, finally calling it a day and leaving the dance floor nearly 13hrs after playing my first track…and that was down to the fine selectors that followed!On Hubert Street and Barry May….it was an absolute pleasure!
