  • #61 If our world leaders were better f***d - Ally Iseman 07.08.2026 37min
In this episode of Sex in Berlin, host Nike sits down with Ally Iseman, relationship coach and founder of Passport 2 Pleasure, to unpack why relationship is a skillset — not a destination. Together they explore the four relationship archetypes, how desire splits into separate emotional and physical planes, and why "we finish each other's sentences" is really just another word for interrupting. From novel monogamy and the myth of "the one" to reframing jealousy as an underused tool for intimacy, Ally makes the case that better relationships at home could mean a better world at large. A conversation about boundaries, curiosity, and why the person you're dating is not a job candidate.
  • #57 Rethinking porn - Feminism, Pleasure and Power with Erika Lust 12.06.2026 25min
In this episode of Sex in Berlin, host Nike sits down with Erika Lust - erotic filmmaker, feminist, and one of the true pioneers of independent adult cinema. Over the past 20 years, Erika has been redefining what porn can look and feel like: inclusive, female-gaze-driven, and made with care for everyone on set and on screen. Together, they talk about what feminist porn actually means (hint: it's not just soft lighting and talking), why all media educates, for better or worse and how watching women experience real pleasure can shift something deep inside you. Erika also opens up about raising kids while making explicit films, her complicated relationship with her mom's opinion of her work, and why she believes the antidote to bad porn isn't no porn. It's better media literacy, more honest sex education, and stories that finally center female desire. Plus: what she really thinks about AI-generated porn, and the book she has coming out that tells the full story of how she became Erika Lust.
  • #55 How I Became a Slut to Heal Myself with Mika 29.05.2026 18min
In this episode of Sex in Berlin, Nike sits down with Mika, the author of Slut Theory. A bold, raw, and deeply personal collection of journal entries that weaves together spicy stories, body empowerment, and the heavy weight of sexual shame and trauma. Together, Nike and Mika explore what it means to reclaim your sexuality after growing up in a society that taught you to be ashamed of it, how writing and publishing these stories became an act of liberation, and why Mika chose the most feared word as her title. From Eastern European shame culture to sex parties in Berlin, from sexual abuse to radical self-discovery. This episode is proof that sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is dive straight into what scares you most. **About the podcast and our guest:** Sex in Berlin A Studio36 Production Host: Nike Wessel Postproduction & Sound design: Vincent Lerche **About Studio36:** Studio36 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/studio36.berlin/ Sex in Berlin Website: https://sexin.berlin Sex in Berlin Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sexinberlin/ Contact Studio36: [email protected] Studio36 Website: https://studio36.berlin/ **About our guest Mika:** Website: https://www.sluttheory.com/ Instagram: **Check out our Sex in Berlin website!** There you’ll find bonus material, background information about the podcast, and insights into each episode: https://sexin.berlin **About Nike Wessel:** LinkedIN: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nike-wessel-73496118a/recent-activity/all/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nike_wessel/
  • #54 Flogging Before Breakfast with Domina Lady Vyra 15.05.2026 34min
In this episode of Sex in Berlin, Nike sits down with Lady Vyra, a dominatrix based in Berlin, to explore what it really means to craft intimacy as a profession. Vyra walks us through her mornings, which often start with a flogging session and explains how her background in theater and dance shapes every session she leads at one of Berlin's most well-known domina studios. What does a 48-hour session look like? How do you mourn a regular client? And what can a gangbang table teach us about co-working? Together, Nike and Vyra unpack the rituals, the creativity, the shame, and the unexpected tenderness that come with sex work and why Vyra compares holding space in a session to standing on a stage. An honest, funny, and surprisingly moving conversation about kink, craft, and what it means to celebrate the forbidden sides of people we care about.
  • #51 Poetry, Power & Submission with Pauline Marie-Antoinette 03.04.2026 30min

Pauline shares how growing up in the south of France, shaped by silence and social conformity, led her to Berlin and ultimately to the stage, where she uses poetry as a tool for liberation. Together, Nike and Pauline explore what it means to find freedom through vulnerability, why submission can be a form of power, and how art can hold space for the full spectrum of human experience. From the political to the erotic. A conversation about creativity, courage, desire, and the magic that happens when you stop hiding and start performing your truth.

  • #37 Sex in Berlin: Spicy Stories: From Erotic Fantasies to Activism 13.08.2025 15min
In this episode of Sex in Berlin, Nike welcomes Brazilian pleasure activist, sex educator, and erotic author Ana Ornelas aka pimentacitrica for an open and inspiring conversation about the politics of pleasure. Pimenta shares how her work began with educating people about sexuality, intimacy, and the clitoris through workshops and online resources, and how it evolved into broader activism aimed at challenging censorship and advocating for sexual rights. She speaks passionately about the importance of reclaiming pleasure. Especially for women, queer people, and marginalized communities as a path to personal freedom and empowerment. Alongside this deep dive into her activism, Ana treats listeners to two of her own sensual short stories. The first is a playful, unapologetic fantasy sparked by a “good boy” on a train, exploring desire, seduction, and the thrill of being someone’s unforgettable adventure. The second is a nostalgic yet charged encounter with a former teenage crush in Berlin, revisiting the tender yet transformative moment of her first queer kiss in Rio. Blending personal storytelling, erotic imagination, and political insight, this episode invites you to think differently about desire and to embrace the radical act of pleasure. • #22 Sex in Oberlethe: Women’s Sex Festival by Therapist and Sexworker Lenia Soley 05.03.2025 32min
Several times a year, couples and sex therapist, sex worker and mediator Lenia Soley organizes “Women's Sex Retreats” at the Oberlethe farm near Oldenburg. What may sound like an orgy lasting several days is in fact a gathering of around 12 women who spend a long weekend exploring their sexuality, their bodies and their biographies and experiencing themselves anew through self-awareness and community. The Oberlethe farm looks inconspicuous from the outside, but the grounds reveal a beautifully restored half-timbered house with a thatched roof and comfortably restored accommodation. This year, Lenia held her very first “Women’s Sex Festival” - also in Oberlethe - where more than 70 women gathered to discover new kinks, experience sisterhood or celebrate their own bodies and being. In addition to the retreats, Lenia also organizes women's temple nights in Berlin and has recently started a women's annual group. In this episode, Nike talks to Lenia about why she only creates spaces for women (cis and trans women and non-binary people who are (also) on the female spectrum) and what her motivation behind the retreats is. Editor Amelie Gante also talks about her experience at the Festival. And if you want to know more about the sex retreats, go listen to our german episode with Lenia where participant Nora Roggausch talks about her experience at the retreat. • #12 Sex in Berlin - “Even vanilla is a kink”: Live from the 19th Pornfilmfestival 29.10.2024 31min
Most people watch porn. And most people go to the cinema - at least once in a while. But why don't we go to the cinema to watch porn there? The Pornfilmfestival Berlin is a special kind of experience and at the same time it's as commonplace as brushing your teeth. At least if you like porn and going to the cinema. Because the festival shows that porn can be more than “just” masturbation material and should therefore be appropriately honored on a big screen like all other film genres. The pioneering festival has a large and diverse selection of films that challenges societal norms, body politics and stereotypical constructions. For this english episode of Sex in Berlin Nike sent her roving reporters Ella and Amelie to the opening night at the Moviemento cinema. The two of them talk about what it's like to watch porn at the movies and test how shy the audience is. They try to find out what the visitors of the festival think about it. They discuss if we are all kinky in the end, even the vanilla ones… And Manuela Kay from the curatorial team tells them about the future visions of the festival. Listen to the new episode of Sex in Berlin to hear the stories, recommendations and insights.
