When Expectations Disappoint 01.09.2026 1ч 30минWe all have expectations, don’t we? Our culture sends us the message that we can expect anything we want. What does the Bible say? Are their biblical hopes and expectations that are God-honoring? When expectations aren’t met, we’re left with disappointment; we need to know how to navigate that in a biblical way. We also need to understand how our responses reveal our hearts and even what we believe about God. How can we practically learn and grow in this area? Join us as we talk about what expectations and disappointments look like in our lives and how the Lord has helped us navigate this important area. Shownotes: Books: “Trusting God” by Jerry Bridges “The Grace Awakening” by Chuck Swindoll Misc: Some of Morgan’s “go-to” verses: Job 1:22, Job 2:10, Psalm 131:1-3,Psalm 119:58, Psalm 27:13-14, Psalm 31:23-24 -
Meet Our Husbands 01.08.2026 59минWe’ve talked a lot about our husbands in this podcast. We frequently refer to our marriages/family and the work He’s doing there. We couldn’t strive to be biblical women without our men. Join us on this unique podcast as our four husbands are our guests and answer some wonderful questions about how they view Biblical Womanhood — its importance and value and the role they see us playing in living it out (both in our homes/lives now and from before we said “I do.”). Guest speakers: Steve Nelson, Josh Whitney, Richer Thatcher, and Bill Young -
He Weaves the Stories of Our Lives 01.07.2026 1ч 17минThe four of us have known each other (and the Lord) for many, many years. But our relationships both with Him and each other, didn’t happen in remarkable and grand life scenarios. No, God wove our stories together in very ordinary ways….in ordinary relationships and circumstances. He met each of us very differently but changed our lives completely. And He has used our four-way bond to unite our hearts and solidify our vision to live our lives for Him. Join us as we have a heartfelt conversation about the amazingly faithful way He has woven our lives together and used us to spur one another along. -
Self-Control: Food 01.06.2026 1ч 29минSelf-control with food is an area most women struggle with (or have struggled with or will struggle with) this side of Heaven. Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit and He does want it displayed in our lives. But boy, can it be challenging to form a healthy relationship with food. There can be embarrassment, guilt, and shame in our habits. And what’s the difference between self-control and discipline? Do you need one as well as the other? Join us as we have a very honest conversation about what self-control looks like in our lives and how we tap into the Lord’s power to grow and change. -
The Truth About Marriage We Learned Along the Way 01.05.2026 1ч 8минWhen we get married, we can dream of “doing it right.” To be the wife and have the marriage that works just the way it does in the books we’ve read and the movies we’ve watched. It doesn’t work like that. 😊 Marriage is His plan and He knows how to work in our hearts and minds to help us be more like Him. But it takes work and time. Wouldn’t it be nice to learn some things earlier than later? Join us as we have a conversation about what we wish we would have known when we were young brides, about things we’ve learned along the way, and about what we’d tell our younger selves. Purity 01.04.2026 1ч 34минPursuing purity in our world is not easy. The culture we live in is hyper-sexualized, full of temptation, and tells us to go ahead and do what we want to. Our thoughts, words, and actions easily lead us down the path of impurity, and the consequences can be severe. We need to be women who know how to guard ourselves against sin and temptation and cling to His Word. We also need to know how to move forward if impurity has tainted our past (or our present). This podcast is for both married and single women (**our podcast guest on this episode is a single gal who is full of wisdom and practical encouragement). However, it is not an episode for younger ears as we do talk about sexual purity/impurity. Join us as we take a close and practical look at the pursuit of purity. Strengthening the Heart of a Mother When Mothering Against the Norm 01.03.2026 1ч 29минWomen face pressures in our world today (not just as mothers but also as single women) as they strive to live in the role God has called them to. Pressures come from family, expectations from others/self, wanting to please our children and the fear of missing out. Just to name a few. Then come the questions: Should our children play sports? Should we let them have a phone? Is there an age to start dating? We need help in practically navigating these important decisions. Join us as we look at (and talk about) what pressures look like in our lives and how we’ve made decisions in these areas. This topic is NOT just for mothers. We’ll also highlight what these scenarios can look like for single women. Shownotes: Book: “12 Ways Your Phone is Changing You” by Tony Reinke -
Idolatry 01.02.2026 1ч 17минIt’s easy to think that idolatry existed only in the Old Testament, and that it only had to do with golden calves or wooden statues. But the truth is, idolatry is alive and well in our lives today. We may not always recognize our idols, but they are most certainly there. Our hearts are drawn away from Jesus and we find them clinging to people and things. A good thing becomes a controlling thing. We need to identify them, apply His Truth to our hearts (and minds), and ultimately lay our idols at His feet. Join us as we talk about what modern day idols are, where they come from, and how to get rid of them. We’ll share our own struggles and the hope we have in Jesus. Shownotes: Book: “Instructing A Child’s Heart“ Tedd Tripp -
Thanksgiving and Gratefulness 01.01.2026 1ч 24минBeing thankful and grateful are not quite as “easy” as we can tend to think it is. It’s so easy to grumble and complain about the smallest things. There are also root sins in our lives that can hinder us from growing a thankful heart. And when suffering comes into our lives, we can forget who God is and what He has done for us. We need the encouragement of the Word, His Spirit, and other believers in our lives to cultivate a thankful and grateful heart. Join us as we talk about the very real struggles we’ve encountered in our lives, how God has done amazing things in both the little and big circumstances He’s allowed, and some practical tips for moving forward. Podcast Ponderings 01.12.2025 57минIn this month’s podcast, we decided to do something a little different. Rather than address a specific topic, we thought it would be helpful/encouraging to take a look “behind the scenes” in how our podcasts come to life. We’ve had numerous listeners ask us many of the same questions (ie: “Where do you get your topics/questions?”, “How do you prepare?”). We wanted to share with you how truly blessed we feel to experience not only how the Lord uses this podcast in your lives but in ours as well. Join us as we chat about the “podcast journey” we set out on almost three years ago and some of the stories from our times together. Busy at Home 01.11.2025 1ч 24минIn Titus 2:3-4, we find some pretty clear verses for what the Lord has for young mothers. They are to be “busy at home.” What exactly does that mean? Could it possibly still have relevance in the year 2025? The Bible is a book written for all time and it lays out a beautiful blueprint for how our Creator wants to use the uniquely designed female to inhabit and influence her home. None of our lives are the same, and many dynamics play into how our homes are run. But as women, we are called to carry out a divinely-inspired plan within our home, marriage, and family. Join us as we talk about the incredible value the Lord places on us being “busy at home” and what it could look like for you, as you walk in faith and trust. Submission in Marriage — A Closer Look 01.10.2025 1ч 38минLast month we looked at what it means to live a life of submission to one another. We laid some groundwork for how God wants us to live in relationship to one another. (If you haven’t heard it yet, we encourage you to.) This month we’re talking more specifically about submission in marriage. What does the Lord call us to (and not call us to) as we live to please Him as wives? What does this look like in our lives as we trust God through our husbands? What if they make a mistake? Never fear, God is big enough and sovereign enough to work all things for our good as we trust Him. Join us as we talk about the freedom found in the roles He has for us and the grace to live them out. A Life of Submission 01.09.2025 1ч 18минWhat does it mean to live a life of submission? One yielded to His good plans for our lives? This isn’t a podcast about submission as wives, but rather as women who want to live lives pleasing to the Lord. We have daily opportunities to serve, love, and give ourselves to the people and situations around us. But it isn’t always easy. There is a death of the “self” that has to happen and we need His help to be able to “do the next right thing.” Join us as we talk about what this submissive life looks like in our lives (including some practical tips on attitudes, habits and encouragement). Real joy comes from living for the Lord. Walking in a Marriage of Forgiveness Instead of Bitterness 01.08.2025 1ч 21минOur marriages are full of opportunities to love our husbands and honor the Lord as we do it. They are also full of opportunities to sin against our husbands and not confidently walk the road of forgiveness when we’ve been hurt or sinned against. Instead, we can harbor a bitter heart and our view of and relationship with our husbands is not at all what it should be. It’s not always easy to “make the next right choice” and seek to cultivate a heart that can truly forgive. Especially when our feelings get in the way. But God offers us hope! Join us as we talk about what this struggle looks like in our lives and ways we’ve leaned into the Lord to grow in it. Shownotes: Books: “Amish Grace” by Donald B. Kraybill, Steven M. Nolt; David L. Modesty in Our Clothes — It’s More Than You Think 01.07.2025 1ч 13минIn our world today, you don’t see a lot of modesty in the way women dress. Culture tends to think it’s an outdated notion and why can’t women wear whatever they want? The Bible may have been written centuries ago, but it’s absolutely relevant for our lives today. The Lord has good and helpful thoughts to steer us in this area. And as we grow in our understanding of who we are in Him, our heart can then be reflected in the clothes we wear. Join us as we talk about what the Bible has to say about modesty, the struggle it can be to live it out in our world, and the goal of honoring Him. The Snare of Compare 01.06.2025 1ч 18минComparing ourselves to others is a universal struggle. We’ve all done it. Whether it’s connected to our physical appearance or our abilities or our possessions. It’s so easy to do and it almost never ends well. It can cause bitterness, envy, pride, and insecurity. It’s a matter of the heart and needs God’s truth to help us sort it out and weed it out. We need to apply His ways to our lives and learn to live a life of contentment and thankfulness. Join us as we talk about what the “snare of compare” looks like in our lives and practical ideas we’ve implemented to be women who look to Him first. Mothering with Hope 01.05.2025 1ч 7минBeing a mother is an amazingly wonderful calling on our lives. It is also very hard work. We can feel the pressure to be that “perfect” mom or have our “performance/what we do” and the desired outcome of our efforts be what drives us. When that happens, our hope is not in God. God has called us to live by grace and leave the outcome of mothering to Him. Join us as we talk about what this struggle looks like in our lives and ways we’ve navigated keeping our hope in Him to be the mother He has called us to be. -
Memorizing Bible Verses 01.04.2025 1ч 6минWe need to be women who memorize Bible verses. We know that it has the ability to change our lives in so many necessary ways. Everything from transforming our minds to bringing us comfort, encouragement, admonishment, and hope. The list is endless. But it’s not always easy to memorize and when challenges present themselves, we can oftentimes get discouraged and stop trying. Instead, we need to arm ourselves with tips and “practicals” on how to start again (and keep going). Join us as we talk very practically about what verse memorization looks like in our lives and the importance of the “just start today” attitude. Budgeting & Finances for Women 01.03.2025 1ч 16минWe need to be good stewards of all that He gives us and this certainly includes our money. We should be careful to live in a way that honors Him. This is a call to understanding budgeting and finances. This may seem easier for some as they have more money. But is it necessarily about the money we have or is it a matter of the heart? Join us as we talk very practically about what budgeting looks like in our lives and how we live that out in creative and faith-filled ways. What works for one family might not work for another, but when the heart is to live for Him and His plan for our lives, amazing things can happen. Sharpening One Another in Marriage 01.02.2025 1ч 13минBeing married is a part of God’s good plan and it brings amazing blessings into our lives. However, it also reveals areas we need to work on, both in ourselves and in our husbands. And the necessary conversations we need to have about those areas aren’t always easy. So, just how do you speak into your husband’s life in a way that honors God and helps your husband grow? Practically speaking, are there tips we can remember to have those conversations go the way that they should? What if you’ve talked and things aren’t changing/getting better? When should help be sought? Join us as we honestly talk about what we’ve found it means to “sharpen one another” in our marriages in an attempt to glorify God and have (and not have) those hard conversations.
