54 - From Constant Terror to Peace: David Binns' Brotherhood Story 17.09.2026 51минDavid Binns had 16 years of personal-transformation work behind him. He had led other people through profound breakthroughs and understood this world at an unusually deep level. But after years of extraordinary pressure, his body was breaking down, his marriage was caught in constant conflict, and David had reached a place where hope was becoming difficult to find. He joined The Brotherhood looking for a way forward. Several weeks later, I asked David to go back and watch one of his earliest calls. He says he barely recognized himself. In this conversation, David shares the breakthrough that changed how he understood a struggle he had carried for most of his life, what happened when he stopped trying to think his way through everything, and the changes that began showing up far beyond his marriage. This is not a story about becoming perfect. It’s a story about what can happen when a man begins relating to himself, his emotions, and his life in a completely different way. 53 - What Your Wife Means When She Says She Doesn’t Feel Safe 14.09.2026 33минOne of the most confusing things a man can hear from his wife is, “I don’t feel safe with you.” Your first thought may be: How? I’ve never hurt you. I love you. I provide. I’m here. I would protect you with my life. I had exactly that reaction when my wife said it to me. And after speaking personally with hundreds of men, I know. If you’ve heard this you are not the only one. In this episode, I share what took me far too long to understand about that conversation, why a man and his wife can use the exact same word while experiencing something completely different, and what I eventually discovered about my own reactions that changed the way I show up in my marriage. If you’ve heard those words and felt confused, angry, blamed, or completely blindsided by them, I think this episode will give you a very different way to look at what may be happening. 52 - The Last Gift He Gave His Wife: Scott Mills' Brotherhood Story 10.09.2026 1ч 7минScott Mills joined The Brotherhood hoping to change the patterns that had created distance in his 35-year marriage. Weeks later, his wife Amy's cancer became terminal. What happened during the final weeks of her life changed the meaning of this work for Scott completely. In this deeply vulnerable conversation, Scott shares what it meant to care for Amy through the end of her life, why he can now look back without regret, and what the experience taught him about love, grief, pride, and finally learning to show up for himself. 51 - Why She Keeps Bringing Up the Past Even After You Apologize 07.09.2026 28минYou apologized. You repaired. You genuinely thought the issue was over. Then weeks or months later, she brings it up again. For years, Alex experienced this in his own marriage and believed his wife simply couldn’t let things go. Eventually, he discovered something that changed the way he understood repair completely. If you’ve ever wondered why an issue you thought was resolved keeps coming back, this episode may give you a very different way to see what is actually happening. 50 - He’d Been Divorced Before. He Knew Where This Was Going: John Collver’s Brotherhood Story 03.09.2026 45минJohn Collver had already lived through one divorce. Decades later, he began recognizing patterns that felt uncomfortably familiar. At the same time, he was going through a profound deconstruction of the beliefs and identity that had shaped most of his life. At 75, John entered The Brotherhood without knowing exactly what he would find. What he experienced challenged his ideas about vulnerability, masculinity, relationships, forgiveness, and whether old patterns really can change. If you have ever thought you are too old, too set in your ways, or too far down the road to become a different man, listen to John’s story. 49 - Why the Person You Love Can Bring Out the Worst in You 31.08.2026 33минIn this solo episode, Alex Charfen explores a question that countless men quietly ask themselves: Why can I stay calm, capable, and composed at work—but become defensive, withdrawn, or reactive with the person I love most? The question came from a comment on one of Alex’s Facebook posts, and it immediately struck a nerve. After working with hundreds of men inside The Brotherhood, he’s seen the same pattern over and over again: men who genuinely want to stop creating rupture in their relationships but can’t understand why the same reactions keep happening. In this episode, Alex explains what makes our closest relationships so different, why emotional triggers can feel automatic, and the realization that completely changed the way he responds when emotion enters the room. If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking, “I know I’m doing this. Why can’t I stop?” this conversation will help you understand why—and where real change begins. 48 - From Dead Bedroom Roommate to Connection, Passion, & Intimacy: How Mac McKey Saved His Marriage 27.08.2026 51минIn this episode, Alex Charfen sits down with Mac McKey to explore what happens when a marriage slowly drifts into years of disconnection—and what it takes to rebuild it. For more than a decade, Mac and his wife had become more like roommates than romantic partners. Although they had been married for 31 years, intimacy had nearly disappeared. Conflict could create weeks of disconnection, and despite trying therapy, books, and relationship advice, Mac still didn’t know how to change the pattern. Then something shifted. In this conversation, Mac shares how he approached his marriage with the same discipline he had spent a lifetime developing through martial arts and self-defense, and what happened when he began practicing Masculine Containment instead of simply trying to communicate better. Today, Mac describes their relationship as feeling like they are teenagers again. Their connection, passion, and intimacy have returned, and conflict no longer keeps them disconnected for weeks at a time. If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s possible to rebuild intimacy after years of distance, this conversation offers a powerful example of what can happen when a man changes himself first. 47 - How to Turn Overwhelm Into Confidence 24.08.2026 25минIn this solo episode, Alex Charfen shares a simple framework for getting out of overwhelm when life feels like it’s coming at you from every direction. Whether you’re navigating rapid business growth, major personal challenges, relationship stress, or simply feeling exhausted and scattered, overwhelm makes it difficult to stay present, grounded, and clear. You can be doing everything you know to do and still feel like you’re spinning your wheels. Alex explains the practical process he’s used for years to help entrepreneurs, clients, and members of The Brotherhood reduce overwhelm, regain clarity, and start making meaningful progress again. This framework has helped people manage runaway success, navigate some of the hardest seasons of their lives, and build the capacity to remain contained even when everything around them feels chaotic. If you’ve been feeling stuck, uncertain, exhausted, or unsure what to do next, this episode will give you a practical place to begin. 46 - He Knew Why He Was Triggered. He Still Couldn’t Stop: Tomer Kurman's Brotherhood Story 20.08.2026 55минTomer Kurman understood why he was getting triggered. He had done therapy, explored his childhood, and learned communication tools. But when conflict actually arrived, none of it seemed available. When his partner brought him anger, sadness, grief, or feedback about something he had done, Tomer could become defensive, critical, withdrawn, or intensely reactive. He describes the activation as almost physically painful, like every cell in his body was telling him to defend himself or get out. In this episode, Tomer shares what changed after joining The Brotherhood and beginning the practice of Masculine Containment. He talks openly about learning to recognize activation without allowing it to control his behavior, the difference between intention and impact, why vulnerability with other men mattered, and how practices like breathing, Time in Neutral, walking, and sexual containment helped him develop greater capacity. Tomer also shares what happened in his relationship. Conflict became dramatically less frequent and less explosive. He became more capable of listening, staying curious, and remaining present when his partner was emotional. And over time, trust and sexual intimacy began returning. This is not a story about becoming perfectly regulated or never getting triggered again. Tomer is clear that the sensations still show up and that the work continues. The difference is that the trigger no longer has to become the behavior. This conversation is an honest look at what becomes possible when a man stops trying to think his way out of his reactions and starts training the capacity to stay present inside them. 45 - Train the Trigger: The First Step Into Masculine Containment 17.08.2026 30минIn this solo episode, Alex Charfen breaks down the first step into Masculine Containment: learning to train the trigger. If you recognize the pattern of trigger, escalation, rupture, withdrawal, and repair in your relationship, this episode gives you a practical place to begin. Alex explains how triggers show up in the body before they become yelling, defensiveness, withdrawal, shutdown, or other reactive behavior. He shares why men often either explode by bringing too much energy into the moment or implode by pulling their energy away, and how both responses can create a sense of threat for the people around them. Through stories from his marriage, parenting, financial history, and road rage, Alex shows how present-day situations can activate old nervous-system conditioning that has very little to do with what is actually happening in the moment. The practice is simple: notice the trigger, breathe, feel your body, slow the moment down, and create space before you react. Alex also explains why some of the best training happens when you are alone. Everyday frustrations like traffic, unexpected mail, or something going wrong can become opportunities to build the same capacity you will eventually need in the moments that matter most with your wife, your children, and the people around you. Over time, that training can change more than your relationships. Alex shares how becoming more grounded and embodied increased his capacity, improved his decision-making, reduced compulsive behavior, strengthened his intuition, and helped him become more creative and present in his work. Masculine Containment is not about never getting triggered again. It is about increasing the space between what you feel and what you do next. If you are wondering where to begin, begin here. Train the trigger. Learn more about The Brotherhood: https://thebrotherhoodsociety.com Follow Alex on Instagram for more insights and updates: https://www.instagram.com/alexcharfen/ -
44 - How Glenn Foden Bell Went From Checked Out to Fully Present 13.08.2026 37минGlenn Foden Bell came into The Brotherhood at one of the lowest points of his life. For years, Glenn had pushed away physical pain, emotional pain, and responsibility. After losing his leg in an accident at twelve and living with chronic pain, compartmentalizing became a way of life. Eventually, that same pattern showed up in his relationships. He was constantly activated, rarely present, and either getting loud and defensive or shutting down completely. His partner and children kept telling him to stop yelling, while Glenn genuinely believed he was only "getting loud." Then, almost immediately after joining The Brotherhood, his relationship ended. Instead of going through the breakup alone, Glenn found himself surrounded by men who listened, supported him, and helped him stay connected while he began practicing Masculine Containment. He committed to walking, Time in Neutral, nervous-system regulation, and especially the self-forgiveness ritual. Over time, the mental chatter quieted, his emotional range expanded, everyday problems stopped becoming emergencies, and he became more present with his children, his work, and himself. His relationship did not reconcile, and that is part of what makes this story so important. Masculine Containment did not give Glenn control over the outcome. It changed the man experiencing it. Today, Glenn says he has more capacity, more presence, and a completely different relationship with his emotions, his children, and his life. This is a conversation about what happens when a man stops running from what he feels and finally learns how to stay present with it. 43 - Why Your Wife Doesn't Want to Have Sex 10.08.2026 33минIn this solo episode, Alex Charfen explores why a wife who wants less sex may not actually have a libido problem. For years, Alex and Cadey experienced the same dynamic that affects countless couples: he wanted more sex, she wanted less, and every rejection created more frustration, pressure, and disconnection. Alex initially thought the issue was desire. After years of studying intimacy, nervous-system regulation, Tantra, relationship dynamics, and his own behavior, he came to understand something very different. Desire does not exist in a vacuum. A woman's willingness to open sexually can be deeply influenced by tactical overload, unresolved conflict, emotional safety, resentment, pressure, pornography, objectification, and whether she feels she has to manage both her own emotions and her partner's. Alex shares how seemingly small patterns—like asking Cadey to remember tasks for him or failing to help create a plan for dinner—contributed to the load her nervous system was already carrying. He also speaks candidly about his history with pornography and objectification and how closing his sexual container changed not only their intimacy, but his attraction to his wife and his capacity everywhere else in life. This is not an argument that every libido difference is caused by the relationship. Hormones, trauma, illness, menopause, stress, and natural differences in desire are real. But before labeling a couple sexually incompatible, Alex challenges men to examine the environment where desire is being asked to show up. The question may not be: "What's wrong with her libido?" The better question may be: "What is her body responding to?" 42 - How Tahmar Thomas Found Strength in Brotherhood While Caring for His Wife 06.08.2026 36минIn this interview, Alex Charfen sits down with Tahmar Thomas to discuss what happens when a man becomes his wife's caregiver without realizing how much pressure he is carrying. Tahmar's wife was experiencing serious, unresolved health challenges. As her condition declined, he found himself trying to support her, manage his own overwhelm, continue working, and hold their relationship together—all while feeling like no one could fully understand what he was going through. Despite his effort, his wife often did not feel seen or understood. Tahmar believed he understood what she was experiencing, but his intentions and her experience were not always the same. That disconnect created frustration, repeated disagreements, and more pressure inside an already difficult situation. Tahmar shares how Masculine Containment helped him stop taking those moments as personally, recognize when he was becoming triggered, regulate himself through breathing, and recover from conflict without allowing it to consume the rest of his day. He also explains why The Brotherhood mattered so deeply. The men around him were not living the same story, but they understood isolation, pressure, fear, and the desire to become better. That shared commitment gave Tahmar support and relief without requiring him to pretend that everything was fixed. His story is a grounded example of what containment looks like when the external challenge remains: becoming more empathetic, more aware, and more capable of staying connected while life is still uncertain. 41 - The Lie I Didn't Know I Was Telling 03.08.2026 35минWhen most people think about regulating their nervous system, they think about breathwork, meditation, cold plunges, supplements, or expensive therapies. But some of the biggest sources of dysregulation are things most people never think about. Every time you leave a commitment unfinished, use something to numb yourself, objectify another person, exaggerate the truth, or say yes when your body is saying no, you create an open loop your nervous system has to carry. In this episode, Alex explores the connection between integrity, nervous system regulation, and personal capacity. He shares some of the most common ways men unknowingly move out of integrity and explains why those patterns can leave us feeling anxious, distracted, reactive, and disconnected from ourselves. You'll learn how numbing affects your ability to remain present, why unfinished commitments consume more capacity than you realize, and how even seemingly harmless exaggerations can register in the body. At the end of the episode, Alex shares a deeply personal realization about a story he has told publicly for years and demonstrates what can happen in the body when we finally bring something back into integrity. The most powerful nervous system practice may not be something you need to add to your life. It may be something you need to stop carrying. 40 - The SWAT Officer Who Didn't Feel Safe at Home with Brotherhood Member Steve Anders 30.07.2026 43минSteve entered The Brotherhood during one of the hardest seasons of his life. After years of therapy, EMDR, and personal development, his wife asked for a separation, forcing him to confront the deeper patterns affecting his marriage and family. In this interview, Steve shares how childhood trauma, shame, and nervous-system conditioning shaped his relationships for decades—and how Masculine Containment helped him become emotionally safe, regulate his reactions, establish healthy boundaries, and experience true self-forgiveness. His story is a powerful reminder that healing isn't about becoming perfect. It's about becoming present enough to respond instead of react and taking responsibility without carrying shame. 39 - Why Men Shut Down or Explode in Relationships (The Missing Skill Most Men Never Learned) 27.07.2026 33минMost people ask why men explode. Very few people ask whether men actually feel safe. In this episode, Alex explores one of the deepest underlying causes of masculine reactivity: emotional unsafety. He explains how childhood conditioning, trauma, shame, and years of learning to suppress vulnerability create nervous systems that react to emotional moments as though they're life-threatening. Through stories from his own life—including discovering he had been in an abusive relationship, healing through EMDR, and recently confronting his dentist after years of failed procedures—Alex demonstrates how Masculine Containment changes everything. Rather than exploding, withdrawing, or suppressing emotion, men can learn to remain present, regulate themselves, set healthy boundaries, and lead with clarity. The conversation reframes emotional regulation not as weakness, but as one of the highest expressions of masculine leadership. When a man becomes safe enough inside himself, he becomes safer for everyone around him—including himself. If you've struggled with anger, emotional shutdown, or feeling stuck in reactive patterns, this episode offers a completely different way forward. 38 - How Moses Abu Darham Rebuilt Himself Through Masculine Containment 23.07.2026 47минMost men think they need more confidence. What they actually need is more capacity. In this conversation, Alex sits down with Brotherhood member Moses Abu Darham to explore what happens when a man stops living from self-doubt and begins trusting himself. Moses shares his journey through addiction, emotional numbness, sexual validation, and years of feeling disconnected from himself and the people he loved most. He explains how The Brotherhood gave him something he had never experienced before: a community of men committed to doing the same work. Together they unpack the power of brotherhood, healthy boundaries, sexual containment, nervous system regulation, fatherhood, and learning to lead from a grounded place instead of fear. Moses also shares the emotional moment he apologized to his children for not being fully present and why learning containment transformed both his marriage and his family. The conversation is a reminder that healing isn't found in another achievement or another relationship. It's found by reconnecting to yourself, building daily practices, and surrounding yourself with men who refuse to let you stay stuck. If you've been wondering whether it's possible to become a calmer, stronger, more present man, Moses' story offers a clear answer. 37 - 3 Simple Habits That Build Masculine Containment 20.07.2026 40минEveryone wants the advanced protocol. Very few people master the fundamentals. After decades of biohacking, experimenting with cutting-edge therapies, coaching entrepreneurs, and helping hundreds of men develop Masculine Containment, Alex has come to a surprising conclusion: if everything disappeared tomorrow, he'd keep just three daily practices. Hydration. Walking. Time in neutral. These aren't productivity hacks or wellness trends. They're daily disciplines that reconnect you to your body, regulate your nervous system, and restore the capacity that chronic stress quietly steals. When you're hydrated, your body communicates more clearly. When you walk without distraction, your nervous system processes instead of accumulating stress. When you spend intentional time in neutral, you create the space to respond instead of react. The problem isn't that most men need more information. It's that they're trying to solve emotional, relational, and leadership problems while living in a chronically dysregulated state. Containment doesn't begin in conflict. It begins with how you care for yourself long before conflict ever arrives. If you're wondering where to start, don't overcomplicate it. Master the basics. Build your capacity. Then watch every area of your life begin to change. Learn more about The Brotherhood: https://thebrotherhoodsociety.com -
36 - Does Every Situation Deserve Containment? 16.07.2026 44минYou can stay grounded without becoming a doormat. One of the biggest misconceptions about Masculine Containment is that it asks men to tolerate abuse, accept disrespect, or simply sit there while someone mistreats them. That's not containment. That's a lack of boundaries. In this episode, Alex explains why containment is not something you offer another person. It's a discipline you practice for yourself. The moment you make your ability to stay grounded dependent on someone else's behavior, you've handed them your nervous system. When you remain contained, you don't become passive. You become clear. You can recognize what's actually happening instead of reacting from old patterns, unresolved trauma, or survival responses. From that place, you can choose the right response—whether that's listening, setting a boundary, stepping away from the conversation, or leaving an unhealthy relationship entirely. Through stories from his own family, his personal healing journey, and powerful transformations inside The Brotherhood, Alex shows why containment and boundaries are not opposites. In fact, healthy boundaries become stronger when they're established from a calm, regulated nervous system instead of anger, fear, or punishment. The question isn't whether someone else deserves your containment. The question is whether you're willing to remain grounded enough to choose your next move without losing yourself. 35 - The Controversial Case for Masculine Containment 13.07.2026 29минIs masculine containment just another relationship framework or is it the missing discipline men have been searching for? In this episode, Alex makes the case for masculine containment and shares why he believes this practice has the potential to transform not only relationships, but leadership, health, business, fatherhood, and even culture itself. Drawing from his own experience, the growth of The Brotherhood, and the transformations he's witnessed in hundreds of men, Alex explains why containment isn't about suppressing emotions or controlling others, it's about mastering yourself. He explores why men are more willing to do the work than society believes, how containment creates the conditions for healing, why relationships become a training ground for personal growth, and how self-regulation unlocks greater capacity, health, influence, and responsibility. If you've ever felt like you've been reacting instead of leading, or you've been searching for a practical path toward becoming the man you know you're capable of being, this episode lays out the vision. In this episode, you'll learn: Why masculine containment is a trainable discipline, not a personality trait. How containment creates the conditions for healing and lasting change. Why your relationship is your greatest opportunity for growth. How reducing reactivity dramatically increases energy, health, and capacity. Why self-dominance is the highest form of masculine leadership. How taking full responsibility creates influence instead of blame. Why Alex believes masculine containment could redefine modern masculinity. If this episode resonates with you, share it with another man who needs to hear it. Together, we can create a new standard for leadership, relationships, and masculinity. Ready to begin your own journey of masculine containment?
