  • Setting Down a 6-Figure Business: Kylee Maughan founder of Kylee Ann Photography 22.09.2026 54мин
What do you do when you feel prompted to set down a successful offer, even when it brings in six figures? In this episode of By Their Fruits, Kaelynn interviews photographer and longtime friend Kylee Maughan, who shares why she is pausing the coaching, courses, and education side of her business after a decade of building it, despite its major income and growth. Kylee explains how running multiple business segments and Instagram accounts, managing a team, raising three kids, and serving in a demanding Relief Society presidency led her to seek clarity through prayer and act quickly on a strong spiritual prompting to slow down. She describes the peace and mental clarity that followed, unexpected financial provision through her husband’s 50% raise, renewed creative energy, and new brand inquiries. They also discuss discipline, messy action, behind the scenes marketing, stewardship, automation, and how doing less can still multiply results. These conversations are a little preview of the way we’ll think about our businesses inside -> Simplify + Multiply: looking at what’s taking our time and energy, what’s actually creating revenue, and where we can make things simpler.   Simplify + Multiply is happening Thursday, September 24. • Becoming the Breadwinner: Jennie Lakenan, website design agency owner 02.09.2026 58мин
What if the life you want requires letting go of everything you thought your family roles had to look like? In this episode of By Their Fruits, Kaelynn interviews Jennie, a psychology major turned WordPress agency owner, about becoming her family’s primary breadwinner while her husband stays home to homeschool and run the household. Jennie shares how a desire for work from home freedom led her from life coach dreams to building websites after noticing coaches had weak online presence, pushing through discouragement, and signing early clients through outreach and community connections. Within months her husband quit his job in spring 2019, and Jennie’s agency earned about $130,000 that first year. They discuss marketing getting harder amid economic shifts and AI, the growing need for authenticity, building systems with contractors, knowing when to hire for a website, staying spirit-led, managing burnout and parenting, and trusting God to reveal next steps line upon line like Nephi building the boat.   Connect with Jennie -  https://www.instagram.com/jennielakenan

Mindy later began designing fabric and eventually hand painted floral wallpaper for children’s rooms, with a goal of helping families feel heaven in their homes. She shares how success and a six figure week left her spiritually hollow, how a platform change crashed her business, and how returning to scripture study, church service, and prioritizing God helped her rebuild, serve customers deeply, and pursue a multi million dollar vision. • Holy Plot Twist: Kaelynn's 2026 Pivot Story 25.06.2026 25мин
Welcome to the first episode of By Their Fruits. A few months ago, I made a decision I never thought I'd make. I retired the business model I'd spent years building. After selling Poppyseed Play, creating online courses, and running my copywriting mentorship, The Greenhouse, I thought I knew what the next chapter of my career would look like. Then last fall, something shifted. The strategies that had worked for years suddenly stopped working the same way, and I found myself questioning everything. In this episode, I share what happened, why I walked away from a business that was still working on paper, and how that decision led me to create a podcast for LDS business owners. I share what this season taught me, why I believe God often works through unexpected pivots, and why some of our biggest blessings begin as what I call a holy plot twist. 👉 Get my weekly email series where I talk about the Book of Mormon from an entrepreneurship lens: HERE
