  • The 2WW: When Does Implantation Occur? 25.09.2026 8min
Discover all the answers to some of the most common questions you may have about your menstrual cycle, hormones in your menstrual cycle, ovulation, implantation, and the 2ww (two week wait).  If you are trying to get pregnant, you may have heard the term—two week wait, the often nervous time of waiting between ovulation and taking a pregnancy test. For many, this is a dreaded time because it's hard to know exactly what is happening. But by learning more about your cycle, you can have more knowledge about what might happen.  The implantation window is during the two week wait. Since progesterone is the hormone responsible for supporting implantation, it must be present during the entire implantation window. You can track your progesterone during this window by tracking PdG, progesterone in urine.  Proov has unique testing capabilities to test PdG during the implantation window to confirm successful ovulation.  Studies show PdG levels are incredibly important for implantation and pregnancy success, for example, women with high PdG during the implantation window were 75% more likely to get pregnant. In contrast, women with low PdG had a miscarriage rate of 90%.  Read the full show notes on Dr. Aimee's website. • Trying to Conceive? What Parents-to-Be Need to Know About Parkinson's and Environmental Toxins with Dr. Ray Dorsey of The Parkinson's Plan 24.09.2026 39min
In this episode, I'm honored to welcome Dr. Ray Dorsey, a renowned neurologist, researcher, and author of the New York Times bestseller, The Parkinson's Plan. Together, we dive into the critical topic of Parkinson's Disease, now the fastest growing neurological disorder in the world, and explore how environmental toxins (rather than aging or genetics), are fueling its rise. Dr. Dorsey shares his expertise on how exposures, even as early as in utero, can increase the risk of Parkinson's and other serious conditions, and offers practical steps families can take to protect themselves and future generations. Throughout our conversation, we discuss the broader themes of environmental health, fertility, and advocacy. We explore the science behind how early-life exposures can plant the seeds for neurodegenerative diseases, the importance of shifting our understanding from genetics to environment, and the actionable ways we can reduce risk. Dr. Dorsey also introduces the "Parkinson's 25" - a set of practical recommendations for families, and shares inspiring stories of advocacy and change. In this episode, we cover: 💙Why Parkinson's Disease is rising and the role of environmental toxins 💙The impact of early-life and in utero exposures on long-term neurological health 💙The difference between genetic and environmental risk factors for Parkinson's 💙How pesticides, air pollution, and chemicals like trichloroethylene affect fertility and brain health 💙The "Parkinson's 25" steps for reducing risk and protecting your family 💙Advocacy success stories, including the Healthy Schools Act and organic golf courses 💙Practical tips for improving indoor air quality and minimizing everyday exposures Resources: The Parkinson's Plan book: https://amzn.to/46V7BZu The Parkinson's Plan website: pdplan.org Contact Dr. Dorsey: [email protected] Healthy Schools Act (California): https://www.cdpr.ca.gov/cac-letter/written-policy-clarifying-state-and-county-roles-in-enforcing-provisions-of-the-healthy-schools-act-assembly-bill-2260/ Countdown by Shanna Swan (on fertility and environmental toxins):  https://amzn.to/4nSniGR National Plan to End Parkinson's Act: https://www.ninds.nih.gov/current-research/trans-agency-activities/national-plan-end-parkinsons Do you have questions about IVF? • Does EmbryoGlue Really Improve IVF Success? New ESHRE Research Challenges a Popular IVF Add-On 23.09.2026 23min
Embryo Glue is one of the most talked-about IVF add-ons. Does it actually lives up to the hype? I invited Dr. Nirvika Singh Sharma, associate lab director at Ovation Fertility San Antonio, to share what her new research found about embryo glue.  Dr. Sharma is a physician, reproductive scientist, and embryologist who recently led a major study presented at ESHRE examining whether EmbryoGlue, a high-concentration hyaluronan transfer medium, actually improves outcomes in frozen embryo transfer cycles. We dig into what embryo glue really is, what her research found across 593 euploid FET cycles, and what patients should know before paying extra for this popular IVF add-on. Read the full show notes. In this episode, we cover: What EmbryoGlue actually is How hyaluronan works in the reproductive tract and whether more of it helps implantation Dr. Sharma's study design: 593 single euploid frozen embryo transfers across four medium combinations The results: pregnancy rates were 63–67% regardless of whether EmbryoGlue or standard media was used The difference between proven effective and possible benefit in IVF add-ons What actually drives implantation: embryo quality, ploidy, and the embryo-endometrium conversation Resources: Ovation Fertility San Antonio: ovationfertility.com Connect with Dr. Nirvika Singh Sharma on LinkedIn Dr. Sharma's research presented at ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) Do you have questions about IVF? • Becoming A Changemaker on Your Fertility Journey with guest Alex Budak 22.09.2026 32min
Read the full show notes at Dr. Aimee's website. Alex Budak is an author and faculty member at Berkeley Haas School of Business. He recently wrote a book called "Becoming a Changemaker." If there is anything I know about fertility patients it's that you all know a lot about being on a journey that often involves embracing change. You become more resilient, and you follow a "growth" mindset. You cling to hope and you let it lead the way forward. It's no surprise that I would have a social entrepreneur and changemaker on the show.  You have a lot in common with what Alex teaches and writes about: "Developing a changemaker mindset often requires holding two seemingly contradictory traits simultaneously: Having a strong personal vision yet being open to collaborating with others. Employing drive and determination to push through barrier after barrier yet knowing when to step back and recharge."  Today we're talking about how to become a Changemaker on your fertility journey. Here are three traits he believes a changemaker has: 1. There's always another way 2. Existing at the edges 3. Learned Hopefulness / Learned Optimism You can learn more about Alex and get his book here: https://www.alexbudak.com/ Do you have questions about IVF? Click here to join Dr. Aimee for The IVF Class. • Most Commonly Asked IVF Questions 14.09.2026 30min
Read the notes and transcript here. I get asked questions about IVF daily, from my patients and from those seeking treatment elsewhere in the United States and beyond. • Everything You Need to Know Before Picking an Egg Donor 11.09.2026 27min
Whether you're an egg donor now, if you're considering it, or you know someone that is — I'm glad you're here. Young women are donating eggs at the time they are most fertile, often times not realizing the implications of what that means. I've had patients come to me in their 40s without enough healthy eggs of their own to conceive. When they share with me that they themselves donated their young and healthy eggs in their 20s or 30s, but that none are available for them, I feel frustrated and sad for them. Frustrated enough that I'm doing something about it. Freeze & Share is a program that helps young egg donors save some eggs for themselves should they need them, while helping another family conceive when they can't on their own. Suffice to say, I don't want anyone to look back at their egg donation and wish they'd known more. Here is your chance — I want to give you all the information I have so that you're equipped with the knowledge to make the best decision for your personal situation. • Revolutionizing Donor Conception: Danielle Winston on Known Sperm Donors and The Seed Scout (Fertility Expert Series) 07.09.2026 9min
I'm talking all about the benefits of known sperm donation with Danielle Winston of The Seed Scout @theseedscout on today's brand new episode of The Egg Whisperer Show. When Danielle and her partner, practicing pediatrician Dr. Paige Kennedy-Winston, were looking to build their own family, they quickly realized the space of sperm banking was riddled with roadblocks for most families. The process was highly impersonal, the anonymity and lack of diversity adding to the problem, and options seemed extremely limited. That's when Danielle and Dr. Kennedy-Winston took matters into their own hands and found their own donor. They got the idea for their sperm donor matchmaking concierge service, The Seed Scout, from their own first-hand experience. With Danielle's business and law background and Dr. Kennedy-Winston's pediatric experience, they made The Seed Scout a reality by taking a human-centered, ethical approach to known sperm donation that's founded on the belief that it's a basic human right to know the identity of one's donor and genetic origins. In this conversation, Danielle and I talked all about: 💙How The Seed Scout is different from traditional sperm banks 💙The extensive screening process used to make sure donors are aligned with their clients 💙Why it was so important to learn about and build from the perspective of donor-conceived individuals 💙How The Seed Scout guides families through the legal and logistical aspects of donor conception to ensure a smooth, ethical process 💙How they balance the seriousness of family planning with creating a fun and fulfilling experience for their clients If you're curious about sperm donation and want to understand the process, your most ethical options, and how you can actually make this fun, you're not going to want to miss this episode! Read the full show notes on Dr. Aimee's website. • Rapamycin to Delay Menopause with the Egg Whisperer Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh 03.09.2026 23min
Read the full show notes on Dr. Aimee's website. I'm excited to be joining Dr. Lorne Brown on the Conscious Fertility Podcast to dive into a fascinating topic: Rapamycin. While it's started to be used as an anti-aging drug, I've been exploring its potential for reproductive health, especially in improving fertility and delaying menopause.  In this episode, I share my personal experience taking Rapamycin, including how it's affected my skin, menstrual cycles, and overall health. We'll also get into the science behind it and how it may be beneficial for women going through menopause or undergoing fertility treatments like IVF.  While I'm passionate about this topic, I want to emphasize that this is not medical advice—always consult your doctor before considering any new treatments. I also share how my alcohol-free lifestyle supports my approach to healthy aging and fertility. Key points covered include: How Rapamycin may help delay menopause, reverse its effects, and support fertility treatments. Some of the potential side effects, like cystic acne and mouth sores. Why I started using and prescribing Rapamycin for longevity and helping women improve fertility later in life. My personal experience with Rapamycin, including smoother skin, regular cycles, and no gray hair at 48. The importance of consulting your doctor before trying Rapamycin, as this podcast is informational and not meant as medical advice. Get the full show notes on Dr. Aimee's website. • Ten Steps to Adopt a "Float Through Life" Mindset for Fertility Patients 01.09.2026 6min
Read the full notes and transcript at Dr. Aimee's website. After 20 years of practicing medicine, I've learned that not everything is sunshine and rainbows. To help myself and my fertility patients, I've adopted a "float through life" mindset—emphasizing mindfulness, calmness, adaptability, and acceptance. Whether you're going through IVF or simply exploring your fertility options, cultivating a positive mindset can help you feel more grounded and supported in the process. In this episode, I share how mindfulness and a flexible mindset can be powerful tools for fertility patients. Instead of being consumed by stress or uncertainty, you'll learn how to approach IVF and your fertility journey with more ease, presence, and hope. This shift toward a positive mindset doesn't mean ignoring challenges—it means embracing tools that allow you to move through them with greater strength and grace. In this episode, we cover: How to embrace situations as they come without spiraling when plans change The power of mindfulness and accepting impermanence in difficult times Ways to stay flexible, cultivate gratitude, and detach from rigid outcomes Why humor, lightheartedness, and community support matter in tough moments Practical steps for prioritizing self-care, limiting overthinking, and trusting the journey Would you like to learn more about IVF?
