Stretching the Truth Podcast – Finding Confidence Through Gear, Community & Living Authentically with Commo 04.06.2026 58minOn this episode of Stretching the Truth, UNB Tim sits down with Commo from Australia to talk about a journey that started with swimming, surfing, and practical sports gear and evolved into a lifelong appreciation of spandex, Lycra, wetsuits, and self-expression. Unlike many stories that begin with kink, Commo’s path started through legitimate sports and outdoor activities. From competitive swimming and Speedos to surfing, wetsuits, cycling gear, and running tights, he shares how gear became part of his everyday life long before he discovered the online gear community. The conversation dives into the unique relationship many gear enthusiasts have with spandex and performance apparel. Tim and Commo discuss the difference between wearing gear for sport, wearing gear for confidence, and wearing gear as part of a kink. They explore how those worlds often overlap and how many people move between them throughout their journey. The two also talk about the importance of visibility and confidence. Whether it’s wearing compression tights on a run, a bright wetsuit in the surf, or simply choosing gear that makes you feel good, they discuss overcoming the fear of being judged and embracing the things that make you happy. Community is another major theme of this episode. Commo shares how he has built friendships over more than a decade in the gear scene, why meaningful conversations matter, and how simple messages can lead to lasting friendships. Tim and Commo both encourage listeners to look beyond the gear itself and get to know the people behind the profiles. They also cover: – Growing up with swimming, Speedos, and competitive sports – The legendary tech suits that changed competitive swimming – Surfing culture and the surprising role wetsuits play in the gear world – Cycling kits, running tights, skinsuits, and practical gear – Why confidence is attractive regardless of what you’re wearing – Building friendships through shared interests – The difference between community and simple admiration – Finding affordable gear and hidden gems – The evolution of personal style and self-expression – Why everyone should feel comfortable wearing what they love One of the biggest takeaways from this episode is that gear is about more than what you wear. It can be a source of confidence, connection, self-expression, and friendship. Whether you’re into cycling kits, wrestling singlets, wetsuits, compression gear, or just discovering the world of Lycra, there’s value in finding your people and building community around shared passions. Whether you’re new to the scene or have been collecting gear for years, this conversation offers a thoughtful look at why so many of us are drawn to performance apparel and how those interests can lead to meaningful friendships and authentic self-expression. ## Join the Conversation What was your gateway into spandex, Lycra, wetsuits, or sports gear? Stretching the Truth: Leather, Lycra & Living Authentically with Victor 22.05.2026 34minVictor joins Stretching the Truth for a conversation that goes beyond gear and gets into identity, confidence, nostalgia, and the freedom that comes with embracing what makes you feel most like yourself. Growing up in Mexico, Victor talks about how his earliest memories of Speedos and leather actually started with his dad—matching swim briefs at the beach, motorcycle jackets, and being surrounded by pieces of style that would later become part of his own self-expression. What started as curiosity evolved into discovering comfort, confidence, and eventually finding community through spandex, leather, underwear, and gear. We get into those early moments many gear guys know well—trying on something in private, realizing it feels different than expected, and slowly learning to bring those pieces into everyday life. Victor shares how Speedos, tights, thongs, compression gear, and eventually leather became more than clothing—they became ways to feel comfortable, sexy, authentic, and confident. The conversation also dives into how spandex has evolved from being seen as strictly athletic wear into something that’s become more visible in gear and kink communities. From gym tights and shiny bodysuits to favorite brands, old-school performance wear, and the frustration of finding the perfect fit online, this episode is packed with relatable moments for anyone who loves gear. And because this is Stretching the Truth… there’s plenty of talk about bold colors, classic tights, shiny fabrics, beach confidence, and why finding someone who shares your interests can make the experience even better. Victor also talks about sharing gear with his husband, taking his first public Speedo beach trips, blending leather and spandex into his own style, and how confidence grows by simply allowing yourself to wear what makes you happy. This episode is a reminder that style, gear, and self-expression don’t have to fit inside one box. Wear what makes you feel good. Experiment. Have fun. And don’t let anyone else define your confidence. Topics Covered: Growing up with Speedos and leather influences Discovering spandex and gear culture Wearing thongs and tights for confidence and comfort Mixing leather and performance gear Gym gear and body confidence Favorite brands and shiny gear obsessions Beach confidence and first public Speedo experiences Sharing gear and style with a partner Why gear can be both personal and expressive Follow Victor: Instagram: @v_in_leather (verify handle from episode before publishing) Support UNB: Patreon: www.patreon.com/unbblog (You can now join for free) Support UNB: https://www.underwearnewsbriefs.com/about/support-unb/ UNB Store: www.unbstore.com Amazon Wish List: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/KCJXCDDPU0LI?ref_=wl_share Affiliate Links: Amoresy – https://amoresy.com/UNBTIM BodyAware – https://bodyaware.com?bg_ref=7FgHF6QR1x Xdress – https://xdress.com?bg_ref=cG6ohBdgUO Real Men – https://www.rmac.store/TIM77812 Find more at Underwear News Briefs and follow @unbblog for updates, new episodes, and community conversations.

From Cycling Shorts to a Lycra Collection: Hung in Gear Talks Spandex Culture 12.04.2026 32minIn this episode of Stretching the Truth, UNB Tim sits down with Hung in Gear, a passionate member of the spandex community discovered through Spandex Party. What starts as a simple conversation about great legs in Lycra turns into a deep dive into how many of us discover, collect, and celebrate spandex gear. Hung in Gear shares how his love of Lycra began when his dad started cycling when he was young, bringing tight cycling gear into the house. That early exposure eventually led to collecting tights, bodysuits, and compression gear once he moved out on his own. The conversation explores how spandex can be both a fetish and a functional piece of gear. Many guys start because they love how it looks and feels, but eventually realize it’s also perfect for workouts, walking, running, and everyday activity. Tim and Hung in Gear also discuss differences between the European and U.S. spandex scenes, the rise of brighter colors in compression gear, and how the culture around wearing skin-tight athletic wear is evolving. They wrap up by talking about favorite brands, budget-friendly ways to start collecting gear, and the ever-growing wish list of suits, tights, and compression sets every gear fan seems to have. Topics Covered Discovering spandex through cycling gear Building a Lycra collection from secondhand finds Spandex culture in Europe vs the United States Wearing gear in public vs private Favorite brands including Nike, Under Armour, and Amoresy Why spandex is one of the most accessible gear interests Gear wish lists and hunting down rare tights The return of bold colors in compression wear Mentioned in This Episode Brands & Gear Nike compression gear Under Armour ISO-Chill tights Amoresy bodysuits Secondhand gear platforms like Vinted Follow & Connect Follow UNB Tim Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/unbblog Twitter/X: https://www.twitter.com/unbblog BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/unbtim.bsky.social Underwear News Briefs Website: https://www.underwearnewsbriefs.com UNB Store: https://www.unbstore.com Stretching the Truth Podcast Available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and major podcast platforms UNB Podcast Hub: https://www.underwearnewsbriefs.com Support UNB If you enjoy the shows and want to help keep them going: Patreon (Free or Paid): https://www.patreon.com/unbblog Support Page: https://www.underwearnewsbriefs.com/about/support-unb/ Amazon Wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/KCJXCDDPU0LI?ref_=wl_share You can also support UNB by shopping the UNB Store or using our affiliate partners: Amoresy: https://amoresy.com/UNBTIM BodyAware: https://bodyaware.com?bg_ref=7FgHF6QR1x Xdress: https://xdress.com?bg_ref=cG6ohBdgUO Real Men Apparel: https://www.rmac.store/TIM77812

Canadian Tights Guy – Confidence, Spandex, and Breaking the Rules 30.03.2026 44minIn this episode of Stretching the Truth, I sit down with someone I discovered on Instagram whose collection of tights, leggings, and spandex gear immediately caught my attention — Canadian Tights Guy. From bold colors to mesh pieces and perfectly coordinated outfits, his posts celebrate creativity, confidence, and the freedom to wear what you love. We dive into how his journey with spandex started, going all the way back to his teenage years discovering different fabrics and the way tight materials highlight the body. Like many guys exploring gear and identity, curiosity turned into experimentation, which eventually evolved into a full-blown passion for tights, leggings, and performance fabrics. Over time that curiosity expanded into both athletic gear and more expressive styles. One of the most fascinating parts of our conversation is how he blends masculinity and femininity in his style. As a muscular, traditionally masculine guy, he enjoys challenging expectations by wearing mesh, shiny fabrics, and colorful tights while still embracing his masculine presence. His goal isn’t shock value — it’s breaking the old rules about what men “should” wear and showing that confidence can make any style work. We also talk about the evolution of his collection and how social media helped him share it with the world. What started as something private eventually became an outlet for creativity. His Instagram now showcases everything from sports tights and leggings to full bodysuits, mesh looks, and coordinated outfits that include matching sneakers and jerseys. That attention to detail — the full “gear kit” — is one of the things that makes his posts stand out. Another topic we explore is the balance between public expression and personal spaces. Canadian Tights Guy shares how he enjoys wearing tights in everyday life — sometimes even out running errands — but he also believes in understanding context and wearing gear appropriate to the setting. For him, confidence doesn’t mean forcing others into your fetish; it means enjoying what you love while respecting the environment around you. We also dive into body confidence, something many people in the gear and spandex communities struggle with. His message is simple: don’t wait until you look like a fitness model to wear what you enjoy. Everyone has a different body type, and learning what styles work for you is part of the journey. The goal is to feel good in your own skin — and maybe inspire someone else along the way. This episode is ultimately about confidence, creativity, and community. Whether you’re into sports tights, mesh looks, shiny fabrics, or just starting to explore spandex, this conversation highlights how embracing your style can open the door to self-expression and connection with others who share the same passion. Canadian Tights Guy truly embodies what Stretching the Truth is about: celebrating the many sides of the spandex world — from athletic to erotic — and showing that the community is far bigger and more diverse than people realize. https://www.instagram.com/can_gearguy75 ⸻ Listen to All Our Podcasts • Brief Talk Podcast • Brief Talk After Dark • Stretching the Truth ⸻ Support UNB If you enjoy the podcasts and everything we do at Underwear News Briefs, please consider supporting us. Stretching the Truth – Short Suits with Fourway333 15.03.2026 43minIn this episode of Stretching the Truth, I sit down with Scott of Fourway333 to talk all about short suits and the many corners of the spandex world that make this gear so fun, sexy, and endlessly fascinating. We did a deep dive before on long suits, and since so many of you loved that conversation, it was time to come back and give short suits their moment. We get into tri suits, technical swimwear, and why they can be such a great entry point if you’re curious about short suits but not sure where to start. We talk fit, stretch, comfort, brands, and how some of these technical fabrics are on a whole other level. Some are affordable, some are high-end, and some are just plain hot. From there, we move into wrestling singlets, running suits, and track-inspired gear, including the brands people love, the cuts that work best, and why so many of us can’t get enough of that sporty, sleek look. There’s a lot of passion in this one, and if you’re into athletic gear, you’re going to hear a few things to add to your wish list. We also spend time on dancewear, glamour singlets, leotards, and bodysuits—because let’s be honest, that’s where things get really interesting. We talk about what works for men, what to look for in fit and cut, and why more guys should absolutely be exploring these styles without shame. There’s a lot more out there than most people realize, and this episode proves it. But one of my favorite parts of this conversation is that it goes beyond just gear. Scott and I also talk about community, making real connections with other gear guys, and building something bigger here in the States. That’s a huge part of what I want Stretching the Truth to be—yes, we’re talking gear, but we’re also building a place where guys can feel seen, heard, and a little more confident in what they love. And yes, we also touch on the fact that this podcast is going to keep growing. We’re going to talk more about the erotic side of spandex, personal stories, confidence, community, and all the many ways this world overlaps with identity and self-expression. So this is just the beginning. Stretching the Truth – Gear Tale – Duke Foxx 22.02.2026 44minDuke Foxx This week on Stretching the Truth, I’m joined by Duke — dancer, personal trainer, former comic book YouTuber, and unapologetic lover of Speedos and spandex. From ballet tights to diving briefs, from teenage message boards to wearing bodysuits while training clients, Duke’s journey into spandex culture is honest, funny, and very relatable. We cover: • Growing up in Ireland and the UK with a ballet background • Discovering Speedos as the gateway into spandex • Early Speedo message boards and online communities • Buying his first bright yellow cycling skinsuit • The crossover between athletic gear and fetish gear • Feeling sexy in gear and embracing objectification • Wearing branded bodysuits while working as a personal trainer • Rebuilding a collection after moving countries • Why people staring at you isn’t necessarily a bad thing One of my favorite moments from this episode: “If people are looking at you, that means they’re interested. The average person doesn’t stare at something they don’t like.” That mindset shift alone is worth listening to the episode. This conversation is about confidence. It’s about comfort in your own body. It’s about pushing outside your comfort zone just enough to grow. And, of course, it’s about celebrating spandex. ⸻ About Duke Originally from Ireland, Duke moved to the UK to train at the Royal Academy of Dance before building a YouTube following talking comic books. He now lives in the United States and works as a personal trainer. He prefers athletic-based gear, skinsuits, and Speedos, and he’s very honest about enjoying being objectified in the right context.
