Something Might Be Off With Our 6,000 Year Timeline 16.07.2026 28minIs humanity really 6,000 years old? The Bible never actually says that number, but here's how millions of Christians get there, and why the math might not hold up the way we've always assumed. In this video we look closely at Genesis 5, the genealogy from Adam to Noah that's usually treated as a straightforward chronology. But when you compare it to the other genealogies in Genesis, Genesis 4, Genesis 10, and even the two genealogies of Jesus in Matthew and Luke, a different pattern shows up. Not every genealogy in Scripture is tracking years lived. We'll walk through:- Where the "6,000 years" number actually comes from, and why it's not a direct quote from the Bible- Why Genesis 10 tracks nations, Genesis 4 tracks culture, and Genesis 5 does something else entirely- The Hebrew names in Genesis 5, read together, and what they might be quietly saying- The 600 year gap between the Hebrew text and the Greek Septuagint, and why two faithful manuscript traditions could disagree by that much- Why the ages in Genesis 5 might be marking covenant headship instead of a stopwatchThis video doesn't answer how old humanity actually is. That's next. Once you stop treating these genealogies as a countdown, the door opens to a different investigation entirely, and that's exactly where we're headed in the next video.Chapters:0:00 6,000 Years?4:47 Technical Details8:16 What is a Genealogy?17:19 Septuagint Timeline19:34 Theological ConclusionMy book, Dynasty of Slaves: https://amzn.to/4wD4wasMy Substack & Newsletter: https://blkshpbible.substack.com/ -

They sat between Malachi and Matthew for almost two thousand years, read by the apostles, quoted by Jude, printed in every King James Bible until the early 1800s. Then they disappeared. Almost nobody noticed. In this video I investigate what these books actually are, what's inside them, why serious scholars and church fathers took them seriously for centuries, and what really happened to get them removed. The answer isn't what most people think, and it involves a committee, a printing press, and a five-year public fight that ended with existing copies being pulped and printing plates destroyed.I also give you my verdict as both an academic and a pastor on where these books belong and whether you should be reading them.Topics covered:- The world that produced these books and why- The shape of biblical apocalyptic writing- What happened to the Apocrypha, from Jerome to Luther to 1826- Why the doubt about these books was legitimate- Where they actually belong alongside Bunyan, Tolkien, Lewis, and Blackaby- The Book of Jasher and why most copies floating around today are a deliberate fraudPlus: three member videos on How We Got Our Bible are open to everyone this week. -

The first is political: an exiled general, branded a traitor and written out of the royal record, who came back to demand the release of an enslaved nation. The second is cosmic: a pantheon of gods that had spent centuries collecting worship that was never theirs, watching that worship dismantled one plague at a time. Each of the ten plagues targeted a specific Egyptian deity, from Hapi and the Nile to Ra and the sun itself. Exodus 12:12 names exactly who stood on trial that night: "for I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD."We'll also work through why Pharaoh's heart got hardened, what the historical record from Amenhotep II's reign reveals about what happened after the Exodus, and how a Midianite priest with no stake in Israel's covenant ended up confessing that the LORD is greater than all gods. Two thrones. Ten plagues. One God who never lost the fight.#Exodus #Egyptology #BibleHistory #Moses #TenPlagues #DivineCouncil #Archaeology -

Thousands of female figurines turned up in homes and villages across ancient Judah. A Hidden Note at the End of Job Reveals His True Identity 05.06.2026 24minMy book on the archeology of Israel in Egypt called "Dynasty of Slaves": https://a.co/d/0863S1B2My blog/newsletter where I write about biblical history and more: https://blkshpbible.substack.comMost people think Job is a timeless story about suffering...a righteous man, a cosmic wager, and a God who eventually shows up with no explanation. But there's a 2,200 year old note at the end of the oldest copies of Job that most people have never read. And it changes everything about who Job was, when he lived, and why his story was written.Job wasn't isolated from Israel's story. He was at the center of it. -
Prehistoric Nomads Got God Right And Civilization Messed It Up 29.05.2026 37minEvery civilization that has ever existed worshipped something. Not most of them — all of them. And for a long time the academic world told us that meant religion evolved upward — that primitive people invented spirits, those spirits became gods, and monotheism came last as the most sophisticated development. On that telling the God of the Bible is a late arrival. A regional answer. One option among many that a small ancient people eventually landed on.That story is wrong. And the evidence that contradicts it has been sitting in the anthropological and archaeological record for over a century. In this video we follow the actual evidence — from the oldest human structure ever discovered, to the most isolated cultures on earth, to the linguistic roots of languages that predate recorded history — and show that the world's most ancient religious expressions don't point toward primitive animism groping upward. They point toward a singular sky father creator, remembered imperfectly but consistently across every continent and every culture that never built a city. And then the cities came. And the Bible tells us exactly what happened next. This is the story of the world's first religion. Where it came from, what happened to it, and why a priest-king in a Canaanite city holding bread and wine is one of the most significant figures in the entire history of human faith. In this video:The anthropological case for original monotheismGöbekli Tepe and what the oldest human structure tells us about the first religionWilhelm Schmidt and the Urmonotheismus thesisThe sky father concept across six continentsHow urbanization distorted the original knowledge of GodBabel in the biblical narrative and in the archaeological recordThree post-Babel religious streams and what they preservedThe embers that survived — Melchizedek, Job, and the widow of Zarephath -
The Bible Has a Demon Problem (And It's Not What You Think) 28.05.2026 21minRead my book: https://amzn.to/49LscjOMost Christians have never been given a coherent answer to one of the most basic questions in the Bible: where do demons come from? This video builds one from the ground up... from the Hebrew text, confirmed by Second Temple tradition, and assumed by the New Testament writers. We start with the obvious problem. Demons are nearly invisible in the Old Testament. Then Jesus shows up, and they are everywhere. Skeptics call it literary invention. The faithful are often left without an answer. The text actually gives one.We trace the full framework: the Genesis 6 origin event, the Rephaim pipeline from death to displacement, the Deuteronomy 32 territorial structure still operating in the first century, and what all of it means for reading the Gospels and Paul's letters with fresh eyes.By the end, every demon behavior in the New Testament has an explanation rooted in the oldest strata of the Hebrew Bible. The wandering in dry places. The begging not to be sent to the abyss before their time. The preference for bodies. All of it.This is the fourth video in a series. Each one stands alone. Together they form a single architecture. -
Melchizedek: What Archeology Has Found So Far 28.05.2026 22minEmail List: https://blkshpbible.substack.comMaps and more here: https://armstronginstitute.org/299-uncovering-the-battle-that-changed-the-worldIn 1929, archaeologists discovered the ancient Canaanite city of Ugarit and the world found out that the Bible's world was a lot bigger and stranger than most people realized. In 2010, archaeologist Eli Shukron excavated a series of rock-cut chambers above the Gihon Spring in Jerusalem and found something that stopped people in their tracks: an altar platform, a drainage channel, an olive press, a standing stone, and a sealed favissa. The site dates to the 19th to 17th centuries BC. That's Abraham's century.Genesis 14 tells us a priest-king named Melchizedek walked out of a city on a hill, offered Abraham bread and wine, and blessed him in the name of El Elyon, God Most High. Abraham gave him a tithe of everything. The writer of Hebrews says that moment matters more than most Christians realize.Today we're putting Melchizedek in real time and real place -- the archaeology, the ancient Near Eastern context, and the thread that runs from a valley below Jerusalem all the way to the night someone else offered bread and wine in the same city and said this is my body, this is my blood. -
Pentecost = Sinai Completed 28.05.2026 14minBLK SHP Newsletter: https://blkshpbible.substack.comEveryone knows Pentecost. Tongues of fire, three thousand converts, the birth of the church. But almost nobody asks the question that makes it make sense: why were they finally ready? Because the whole Old Testament is the story of God moving toward his people and his people not being able to receive him. Sinai. The wilderness. The king. The temple. The incarnation. Every time God moved close, something in them couldn't handle it. Then the cross happened. And fifty days later the fire that stayed on the mountain at Sinai came down and landed on the people themselves. This video is about what changed, why it changed, and why Pentecost is not the beginning of a new religion. It's the end of a very long story. -

What most people don't know is whose bones those are - or how they got there. In this video we dig into the hidden history behind Ezekiel 37. It starts with a tribe called Ephraim, a decision made in Egypt before the Exodus, and a betrayal that fractured the family of Israel so deeply that the wound was still open centuries later when Ezekiel stood in that valley. We cover the historical and archaeological context of Israel in Egypt, what the tribe of Ephraim actually did and why it matters, what Psalm 78 and 1 Chronicles 7 tell us about the event, why Exodus 1 shows no record of Israel resisting enslavement, and what ancient Jewish sources including the Talmud and the Mekhilta say about whose bones Ezekiel actually saw. This is also a video about what God does with broken families, fractured communities, and people who have gone spiritually dry. The valley has a history. And the history makes the resurrection mean something it couldn't mean without it. -
Jesus Had a Cosmological Map We've Only Recently Rediscovered 11.04.2026 25minMost people read Mark 4 and 5 as two separate miracles sitting next to each other. Jesus calms a storm, then Jesus casts out a demon. Two episodes, two lessons, move on.But that's not what Mark is doing. This is one story, one campaign, two fronts on the same ancient war. And to see what Jesus actually did that night, you need the map his audience already had in their heads — because when you have that map, this passage stops being a miracle story and starts being the moment the whole Hebrew Bible was building toward. We cover the cosmic geography of the Sea of Galilee, what Deuteronomy 32 says about the eastern shore, why Bashan terrified a first century Jewish audience, and why the Book of Job is the key to understanding both what Jesus did on the water and what he did when he stepped off the boat.🖊 Substack: blkshpbible.substack.com -

It wasn't hidden in obscure corners. It was in the Talmud. The Midrash. The Targums. The Zohar. Written by Jewish scholars, for Jewish communities, centuries before Christianity had any influence over them. Then something happened. This video traces what the ancient Jewish sources actually say about the Messiah — and the four historical wounds that buried that portrait for a thousand years. From the Bar Kokhba revolt to the massacres of 1096, from Rashi's grief to Ramban's silence in Barcelona, this is the story of how a tradition lost sight of what its own scholars wrote down and preserved. The Great Isaiah Scroll has been sitting in a cave since before Jesus of Nazareth was born. In this deep dive, we explore a theory that transcends simple engineering: that the pyramid is not merely a religious invention, but a profound cultural echo of a lost historical memory. In this episode, we investigate the "Mountain of God" thesis. We examine the idea that every ziggurat, pyramid, and stepped temple is an attempt to recreate the topography of a lost home. By analyzing the Akkadian term Ziggarratu, literally meaning "the summit of a mountain," we discover that these structures weren't just buildings; they were desperate architectural prayers designed to bridge the gap between a fallen world and a divine peak.Drawing on ancient Near Eastern archaeology, Mesoamerican "Flower Mountains," and the biblical imagery of Ezekiel 28, we explore the Garden of Eden as the original Axis Mundi, the primordial mountain where Heaven and Earth once met. From the "botanical portals" of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon to the staircase of Jacob’s Ladder (the Hebrew Sullam), we trace how humanity has spent millennia building artificial summits to pull the divine presence back into our reality. Finally, we look at the ultimate shift from stone and mortar to the Incarnation. In this deep dive into the Bible's original Hebrew context, we uncover the shocking and often overlooked truth that the word “Satan” was not originally meant to be understood as a personal name for a supreme evil being, but rather functioned as a specific job title—"ha-satan"—designating "the adversary" or the heavenly prosecutor within God's court. Pulling back the curtain on the unseen spiritual realm, we explore the fascinating concept of God’s Divine Council, a hidden administration of spiritual beings that govern the cosmos under His ultimate authority. By examining these ancient perspectives, we shed new light on bizarre and widely misunderstood scriptural narratives, from the strange story of Balaam’s talking donkey to the true, complex identity of the Angel of the Lord, who sometimes operated in the role of an adversary to test humanity. Understanding the ancient Near Eastern worldview and the original language fundamentally shifts how we interpret the spiritual hierarchy, revealing a dynamic heavenly government rather than a simple tale of good versus evil, ensuring you will never read your Bible exactly the same way again.👉 Get the Preview Bundle for my new book, Dynasty of Slaves, including the timeline graphic of Israel in Egypt: https://blkshpbible.substack.com/p/dynasty-of-slaves-free-preview-bundle🧢 BLK SHP Hats: https://blkshp.printful.me🙏 Donate to BLK SHP: https://donate.stripe.com/fZu3co477b6rauWcMQd3i00 -
