Let's talk about the real reason why you lost your butt and gained a belly: high cortisol. Excessive cortisol can break down the quadriceps and the gluteus maximus. Cortisol is a stress hormone and a survival hormone. It tends to keep your sugar levels available for quick energy. It can also rob amino acids from the quadriceps and the gluteus maximus to convert to glucose. The sugar is then converted to fat with the help of insulin. During this process, you can develop muscle atrophy. Muscle atrophy can look very similar to cellulite, but it's really a loss of muscle fiber. Top causes of high cortisol: • Prednisone • Menopause • High stress • A tumor • Birth control pills • Sarcopenia • Inactivity • Low back pain What you can do: 1. Talk to your doctor about a natural alternative to prednisone (adaptogens and vitamin D) 2. Reduce your stress (do physical work or exercise and avoid overtraining) 3. Do the keto diet and intermittent fasting 4. Get plenty of key nutrients (potassium, magnesium, and vitamin B1) 5. Get plenty of sleep 6. Let’s talk about attention deficit disorder and what I consider the best remedy for ADD or ADHD. Some people may have a difficult time transitioning from their medication to this natural remedy for ADD. This transition should be done gradually and with the help of a doctor. ADD, or ADHD, has nothing to do with someone’s intelligence—we’re talking about a lack of attention and, in some cases, hyperactivity. Many different things can play into someone having problems with attention, like overstimulation or difficulty in school. There is also a physical component involved when someone has ADD or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The brain hogs energy, and it takes a lot of energy in the brain for someone to pay attention to something. If your brain is tired, you won’t be able to concentrate for very long. Running your brain on ketones can give you energy. Ketones are a cleaner, more efficient fuel source for the brain. The way to feed your brain ketones is to lower your carbohydrates. Cutting grains out of your diet is essential. Gluten can affect your gut, which could then affect your brain, leading to brain fog. Here are a few more things that can affect your brain and may cause a short attention span: • Allergies • Lack of sleep • Too much caffeine • Nutrient deficiencies The best ways to improve your attention naturally: 1. Take DMAE 2. Get on the ketogenic diet and do intermittent fasting 3. Consume plenty of vitamin B1, magnesium, potassium, and omega-3 fatty acids Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Magnesium glycinate dosage doesn’t always reflect the amount of elemental magnesium you’re actually getting from your supplement. It’s critical to understand how to read the label so you can make sure you’re getting the proper dose. The RDA for magnesium is 310–420 mg, and many clinical trials showing magnesium benefits use dosages around 400–500 mg. If it seems like magnesium isn’t working for you, make sure you’re taking enough.Magnesium absorption also plays a role. If you’re not absorbing magnesium properly, you won’t experience its full benefits. You need adequate stomach acid to absorb magnesium. Gut inflammation and even genetics can also affect magnesium absorption. If you’re doing everything right and still not experiencing any magnesium benefits, you may just need to give it more time! Today I’m going to share some of the top things that can severely affect your brain. Top things that negatively affect your brain: 1. Chronic exposure to bad news 2. Toxic personalities 3. Spending too much time inside 4. Low-fat, low-cholesterol diets 5. High-grain diets 6. High-sugar diets 7. Low-stress to no stress at all 8. High-stress 9. Snacking 10. Things that decrease gut microbes 11. Consuming grain-fed animal products One of the most surprising things on this list is grain-fed animal products. I recently participated in an interesting beef nutrient-density study. This study compared the beef from my farm to grass-fed beef and grain-fed beef, looking at factors that contribute to health and disease. It turns out that the beef from my farm was significantly higher in phytonutrients and vitamin B3. It also had a fantastic omega-6 fatty acid to omega-3 fatty acid ratio. Not only that, but the beef I sent was low in glycation end-products and homocysteine, which are both harmful to the brain. Grass-fed beef also did much better than grain-fed beef when looking at these same factors. My beef may have done best because I raise my cattle on pastures with a diversity of weeds for the cows to consume. Overall, it’s crucial to consume grass-fed, grass-finished beef or 100% grass-fed beef to support your brain and your overall health. Today I want to share some new interesting information on how to put diabetes in remission. If you fix insulin resistance, you can fix your type 2 diabetes. But, if you have a fatty liver, you can't get rid of insulin resistance. If you have insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, or diabetes, you need to focus on removing fat from your liver. You can develop insulin resistance with less than two percent of the liver being fatty. The good news is that the brain and body love to run on ketones instead of glucose for fuel. It’s crucial to start running your body on ketones to fix insulin resistance and other health concerns. When you decrease your blood glucose, the body starts using ketones. Within six days of running the body on ketones, you can significantly improve the effects of insulin resistance in your liver. The ketogenic diet has been shown to decrease 50 percent of the fat in a person’s liver within two weeks. Key things to start doing right now: 1. Get on the ketogenic diet 2. Consume a moderate amount of protein 3. Consume apple cider vinegar (one to two tablespoons in water) 4. Let your appetite dictate when you eat (eat less frequently) 5. Exercise on a regular basis Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. • The Corrupt Food Industry Lurking In Your Child's School Lunch 27.09.2026 21min
Over 70% of your child’s diet comes from ultra-processed foods. Refined sugars, starches, and seed oils are destroying their brains. Watch this fascinating interview with Hilary Boynton, founder of School of Lunch, who aims to halt this junk food epidemic. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) DONATE HERE: https://www.gofundme.com/f/p2h7j3-pla... Check out their website here: https://www.schooloflunch.com/ 0:00 Introduction: The ultra-processed diet in children 0:36 Welcome, Hilary Boynton 3:38 The benefits of a healthy diet for children 6:06 Hilary’s training program 9:41 Please donate to Hilary’s GoFundMe! 11:02 Food and health, a vicious cycle Hilary Boynton is the founder of the organization School of Lunch. She has developed a training program to teach schools around the country how to create healthy, nourishing meals for our children. Hilary’s family health journey led her to develop School of Lunch. Hilary is a mother of 5 who’s dealt with infertility, eczema, epilepsy, speech delays, cancer, and Alzheimer’s. Hilary’s family moved to California during her husband’s battle against cancer. There, she teamed up with a local school and began working on their lunch program. She started as the snack coordinator, then became the consultant to the lunch lady, and was finally given the keys to the kitchen. Inspired by Dr. Weston A. Price's works, Hilary began exploring the importance of traditional, ancestral foods and our health. She familiarized herself with the gut-brain and gut-body connection. After implementing these dietary changes, kids no longer felt the ups and downs of their energy and mood throughout the school day. Kids and their teachers, who followed the same diet, were satiated and energized throughout the day. These benefits trickled into the children’s home lives, encouraging parents to join in after seeing the visible improvements. Hilary realized that more schools needed this information. Improving their food could greatly benefit schools, hospitals, churches, community centers, and more. If you’re able, please donate to Hilary’s amazing cause! Doctors do not factor in food when treating chronic illnesses caused by an ultra-processed diet. Hilary’s program aims to turn this vicious cycle around not by simply changing the diet but by empowering children to understand the power of food. --- Learn more about your ad choices. If you have diabetes or if diabetes prevention is your goal, avoid these foods at all costs. Your health depends on it! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Eliminate ultra-processed foods from your diet now with the FREE Dr. Berg Junk Food Meter App: https://drbrg.co/47sq8MN Apple Download: https://drbrg.co/3KUb6XG Android Download: https://drbrg.co/3KV39RV 0:00 Introduction: Avoid these foods 0:13 Insulin resistance explained 2:30 Seed oils and type 2 diabetes 6:53 Insulin resistance and diabetes 8:16 What not to eat if you have diabetes 12:42 How to detox aldehydes Long before prediabetes and diabetes comes insulin resistance. You can be insulin resistant for 15-20 years before you develop diabetes! Chronic sugar consumption can lead to insulin resistance, but seed oils can be equally problematic. Seed oils cause damage to the cell membranes (which contain insulin receptors) and damage to the mitochondria. There is evidence that unsaturated fatty acids can reduce the risk of diabetes, but this is not the case with rancid, oxidized seed oils. These highly refined seed oils are full of toxic byproducts such as aldehydes, which create irreversible damage in the insulin receptor. The average person consumes 25%-30% of their calories from seed oils. You can have high insulin and normal blood sugar for many years. Over time, this overworks the pancreas, causing the beta cells that produce insulin to become overworked and eventually stop producing insulin, leaving the body without a mechanism to regulate blood sugar levels. Normal blood sugar should be around 80, which is equivalent to a single teaspoon of sugar in the blood, even though the average person consumes 81 to 131 teaspoons of sugar every day! If you have diabetes or you want to avoid it, avoid these foods: 1. Fast food fries and fried chicken 2. Deep-fried restaurant foods 3. Chips/crisps/corn chips 4. Doughnuts and pastries 5. Sweetened drinks 6. Frozen breaded foods 7. Commercial salad dressing and mayo 8. Instant noodles 9. Granola/protein bars and cookies 10. Microwave popcorn To detox aldehydes, consume more of the following nutrients: •Carnosine: grass-fed red meat •Sulfur-rich vegetables: onions, garlic, broccoli •Polyphenols: green tea, dark chocolate, pomegranate Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988.
