In today's episode I'm joined by Laura Boland. Some of you might remember Laura from Episode 14 of Finding Space. When we first recorded in late July last year, Laura shared her fertility journey with incredible honesty. She spoke about endometriosis, IVF, the early arrival of her son Charlie, an ectopic pregnancy, failed embryo transfers and the heartbreaking loss of another much-loved baby.Just a few weeks after we recorded our first conversation, Laura found out she was pregnant.Today, she's back to share what happened next. We talk about pregnancy after loss, the anxiety and uncertainty that can come with it, what life looks like now after everything she's been through, and how welcoming another baby doesn't take away the love or grief for babies lost.We also reflect on the power of sharing our stories, why hearing hopeful news from others who have walked a similar path can bring a different kind of joy, and how speaking openly about our experiences can help us process what we've carried for so long.In this episode, we touch on:▪︎ Pregnancy after loss▪︎ The anxiety and uncertainty that can come with it▪︎ The lasting impact of pregnancy loss▪︎ Why one baby can never replace another ▪︎ The power of sharing our stories▪︎ Finding hope after infertility and pregnancy lossAs always, please take care while listening. You will find support links and resources in the show notes below.💛If this episode resonated with you, I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments on Spotify.Sharing, rating or reviewing the podcast really helps these conversations reach more people.Connect with Me:InstagramEmail: findingspacedk@gmail.comConnect with Laura:InstagramResources & Support:Music Credit to Purple Planet 55245402

This week's episode is a solo one.Recently,  I shared some experiences sent to me by members of this community around infertility, pregnancy loss, grief and some of the everyday moments that can feel unexpectedly difficult when you’re carrying all of that. I originally shared them on Instagram StoriesAfterwards, a lot of people reached out to say they could relate, shared their own experiences, offered advice, or simply let someone else know they weren’t alone. I also shared some of these messages in a follow-up post.As not everyone is on social media, I wanted to bring some of those Instagram conversations together into a podcast episode too.My hope is that by sharing them here, someone listening might feel seen, understood, or simply reminded that they are not the only one feeling this way.As always, please take care as you listen. This episode includes discussion of infertility and pregnancy loss. • Episode 33 - Grief & Joy can co-exist 18.05.2026 15min
Another little mini episode from me this week.I originally shared some of these thoughts on Instagram stories earlier this week, and the response reminded me just how many people quietly carry these feelings too, so I’ve put them into this episode. These are very personal thoughts and feelings to share and they came after such a lovely and happy moment. I'm sharing because I think we need to talk more honestly about triggers and grief. You can be genuinely happy for someone else and heartbroken for yourself at the same time, and I don’t think that’s something we should feel shame or guilt around anymore. If any of this resonates with you, please know you are not alone in it.This is a very emotional episode. Over the years, she experienced multiple miscarriages, and then the painful reality of being told that pregnancy would be too high-risk for her health. She shares what it’s been like to live with this illness from such a young age, the losses she’s carried, and how she’s now turned so much of what she’s lived through into support for others. This episode is about grief, strength, acceptance, and the different ways care and motherhood can show up in a life. Please take care as you listen, as this episode includes discussion of pregnancy loss and medical trauma. If you would like to learn more about Crohn’s & Colitis Ireland, access support, or find upcoming community events, you can connect with them here:Website:https://crohnscolitis.ie/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/crohnscolitisireland/Linktree (all supports & links):https://linktr.ee/crohnscolitisirelandUpcoming Events & Member Supports:https://crohnscolitis.ie/members/events/If you are living with IBD or supporting someone who is, I hope these links are helpful.Connect with Me:Instagram: @Findingspace_dkResources & Support:Miscarriage Association of IrelandTel: 01 873 5702www.miscarriage.ie Ectopic Pregnancy Ireland www.ectopicireland.ie FéileacáinTel: 085 249 6464www.feileacain.iePregnancy and Infant Loss Irelandwww.pregnancyandinfantloss.ieGateway Womenhttps://gateway-women.com/bio/ Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapywww.iacp.ie Irish Fertility Counsellors Associationhttps://fertilitycounsellors.ie/ Other Support Groups:https://www.hse.ie/eng/about/who/acute-hospitals-division/woman-infants/bereavement-care/bereavement-support-groups/ Music Credit to Purple Planet 55245402

  • Episode 21 - Megan's Story 412 Fertility: Part 1 19.01.2026 1t 5min
This episode is broken into two parts. In part one, I’m joined by Megan, a fertility nurse and founder of 412 Fertility, who shares a little of herself with us, her work supporting others while trying to conceive, setting up her own business during that time, and the support she now offers through it.Megan also opens up about her own journey with IVF, and learning along the way that she has Hashimoto’s, borderline PCOS, and, more recently, diagnoses of POTS and endometriosis. This is an honest, gentle conversation about trying to hold both roles, patient and professional, while navigating uncertainty, disappointment, and hope.Part two of this conversation will be available soon, where we talk more about her journey, boundaries, and self-care.Please note: There are mentions of fertility struggles, pregnancy, and loss so do listen gently and take care of yourself as needed. You can find Megan and her work here:Website: https://412fertility.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/412fertility/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@412fertilityConnect with Me:Instagram: @Findingspace_dkResources & Support:Miscarriage Association of IrelandTel: 01 873 5702www.miscarriage.ie Ectopic Pregnancy Ireland www.ectopicireland.ie FéileacáinTel: 085 249 6464www.feileacain.iePregnancy and Infant Loss Irelandwww.pregnancyandinfantloss.ieGateway Womenhttps://gateway-women.com/bio/ Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapywww.iacp.ie Irish Fertility Counsellors Associationhttps://fertilitycounsellors.ie/ Other Support Groups:https://www.hse.ie/eng/about/who/acute-hospitals-division/woman-infants/bereavement-care/bereavement-support-groups/ Music Credit to Purple Planet 55245402
