Grandparent artists will find their days filled with love and sticky fingers; parent artists will become personal chauffeurs, chefs, and/or entertainment officers. There will be tantrums (mainly from artists who need some creativity time).Then again, how do we incorporate some sketch-paint-stick into our jolly travels? What’s art again? Who am I? We are so very grateful to the listener(s) who nominated us. Unfortunately we can’t attend the awards ceremony in person on 3rd December, but we’ll be live online…holding our breath, obviously! This is a big deal for us. However, it’s not the event that defines us, it’s how we deal with it. Yeah, sounds great, right? Sounds easy too. But hoooooow? 110 - bravery 24.09.2025 48minIt’s all been done before. There’s nothing new. We just can’t find anything original to present to the world. Everyone else has got a great offering. Everyone else has got it sussed. They’re doing all the things. Are we just copying? Are we offering the same old, same old? So why do it at all? Hang on though, let’s consider this, maybe doing it our way IS the original part. We’ve seen a million reels on Instagram, a gazillionty million paintings, landscapes, abstracts, workshops, courses, we berate ourselves and ask repeatedly “why would ours be any better?”. Well, here’s the thing-it doesn’t have to be, it just has to be from you, not a comparison, not a competition… just your version of the thing. Surely THAT’S what makes it original. People connect to the person, it doesn’t have to be perfect, it has to be real. Wow. There’s a revelation. Next question… how do we show who we are, in natural way? Eek… that’s another conversation.
