Evicted: The Hidden Homeless (BAFTA WINNING DOCUMENTARY) | Real Stories 14.10.2026 1t 5minIn a country where people can own two or three homes, these are the stories of those who don’t have one.Uploaded 13-03-17All three girls and their families have endured the emotional trauma of being thrown out of their homes. With nowhere to go they are absorbed into the hidden world of bed and breakfasts, hotels, safe houses and temporary accommodation. With all of their belongings locked away in storage the girls are literally left with the clothes they stand in.Living in overcrowded and cramped conditions often miles away from school and friends, the fate of homeless families falls to anonymous council departments who judge and decide if they deserve to be helped and housed. If they are found “Intentionally Homeless” then the Council can remove them from its homelessness statistics, and no longer has a responsibility to house them beyond 28 days in a B and B. Shelter and other charities have seen that the numbers found “intentionally homeless” have increased considerably since central government instructed Councils to “reduce homelessness”.Meanwhile the impact on families and children are devastating. The children in particular face isolation, social exclusion and bullying; they may also miss months of schooling.Home is something we don’t fully appreciate until it is taken away, its not until this happens that you understand just how important it really is, and how bleak and terrifying life can be with No Home.Want to watch more full-length Documentaries? The Day I Snapped (Mental Health Documentary) | Real Stories 14.10.2026 56minStress is the classic ailment of the 21st century and accepted as part of our working lives. In fact, stress is generally perceived as a barometer of success. Dynamic professionals seem keen to publicise the fact that their lives are blighted by this modern anguish.Uploaded 03-05-17In contrast to socially acceptable moaning about minor stresses and strains, The Day I Snapped investigates what happens when the stress of working life causes a major meltdown. Linda, Elinor, Simon, Justin and Linn were pushed to the point where they were ready to ‘snap’. This is a very human account of what happens when anxiety gets too much to cope with. Is Elon Musk The Real Reason Behind Tesla's Success? 14.10.2026 28minThis documentary delves into the remarkable journey of Tesla, the company that transformed the automotive industry and redefined the future of transportation. Founded in 2003 by engineers Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning, Tesla started with a radical vision-to prove that electric vehicles could outperform traditional gas-powered cars and lead the way toward a sustainable energy future. Tesla's early days were marked by innovation and bold ambition, but it wasn't until Elon Musk joined the company in 2004 as its largest investor and chairman that Tesla's trajectory shifted dramatically. Under Musk's leadership, Tesla evolved from a niche player to a global powerhouse, with its electric vehicles revolutionizing the way we think about cars. From the sleek, high-performance Roadster to the mass-market success of the Model 3, Tesla has not only challenged industry norms but also inspired a movement toward cleaner, more sustainable energy. Along the way, Tesla's impact has extended beyond cars to the development of energy storage, solar technology, and autonomous driving, making it a key player in shaping the future of global energy and transportation. Yet, the company's journey has not been without challenges. Tesla has faced production struggles, financial instability, and constant scrutiny. Through it all, the relentless drive to innovate has kept Tesla at the forefront of technological progress, positioning it as a symbol of what's possible when ambition meets ingenuity. This documentary explores Tesla's rise, its ongoing impact, and how it continues to push the boundaries of what the future of transportation can be.Uploaded 05-02-26Instagram - @realstoriesdocsAny queries, please contact us at: [email protected] Learn more about your ad choices. Having lowered the entry requirements, now they are taking all comers and getting all sorts.Prior to joining, new recruits are not even interviewed. The only requirement for a job behind bars is a clean criminal record. Today’s recruits are fast tracked into uniform, and hurled headlong through an intense training regime. The class of 2004 is meant to represent a new generation of screws. A Moroccan bus driver (Mustapha Bouker), a 47 year old Hindu civil servant (Jaya Karir), a young Jamaican single mother (Sharifa Wade) and a 21 year old bachelor embarking on his first job (Jamie Barker) are among the group of 8 starting out.
