S3E36 Haven Circles: Creating Authentic Connection through Spiritual Friendship 15.09.2026 32minFriends, How do women find connection with other women in this world filled with hurry and distraction? The answer is Haven Circles, a place where women can connect authentically, away from social media and other distractions. In this episode, I sat down with Alli Koscal, author of Love and Loyalty: Heart Lessons from the Book of Ruth and Founder of Finding Havens ministry, seeking to connect women through Bible Study. Alli and I discuss the need for women to find connection with other women through authentic spiritual friendships and making time to step away from technology to be together in person. Alli’s dream is for women to step into their primary vocation in community, following the example of Ruth and Naomi in the Bible. S3E35 Coming Home: Restoring Dignity at the End of Life 08.09.2026 32minFriends, What if our fear of death has less to do with death itself and more to do with how our culture has taught us to think about it? In this episode, I’m joined by the founder of Inhora Home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to have a conversation about something most of us would rather avoid: the end of life. Inhora Home is creating a different kind of space for people who are dying: a safe, welcoming home where people from all faiths and income levels can experience community, dignity, and care at the end of their lives. We talk about what happens when we move death out of hospitals and institutions and bring it back into a home and a community. We also explore some of the deepest struggles people face in the final hours of life. What are they afraid of? What do they need? And what might change if we stopped seeing death simply as something to fight or prevent? Most importantly, this conversation invites us to examine our own assumptions. S3E34 Humane Business: The Garden vs. The Factory Approach to Entrepreneurship 01.09.2026 44minFriends, What if the way we’ve been taught to build a business is actually working against the way human beings are designed to flourish? In this episode, I’m joined by Anna Saucier and Megan Gephart, founders of Apostolic Fruit, for a conversation about a different way to think about entrepreneurship that puts the whole human being at the center. Rather than treating a business like a factory that needs to constantly produce, optimize, and scale, Anna and Megan invite women entrepreneurs to think about their businesses more like gardens. Gardens require attention, cultivation, seasons, rest, pruning, and patience. They aren’t forced to produce on demand, and neither are we. We talk about what happens when the pressures of entrepreneurship collide with our personal wounds, self-judgment, and expectations of who we think we should be. Because sometimes what looks like a business problem is actually a personal struggle showing up in our work. This conversation is especially meaningful for women who are building mission-driven businesses and want their work to support their lives rather than consume them. In this episode, we explore: Why a business built like a factory can leave us depleted How self-judgment can keep entrepreneurs stuck Why productivity isn’t the same thing as flourishing How women can honor their own rhythms while building meaningful businesses This conversation is for you if you’ve ever wondered whether there’s another way to build a successful business that doesn’t require you to become a machine. S3E33 Unwinding Stuck Patterns: Rewriting What Childhood Taught us About Love 18.08.2026 32minFriends, My guest in this episode, Audye Gonzalez grew up in a small town, the daughter of divorced parents, raised by a mother whose love came with conditions she spent years trying to name. Today she's the creator of the "Still Stuck" workbook, and she's spent her career helping adult daughters of narcissistic mothers recognize the five trauma patterns that keep showing up in relationships, and everyday life. In this conversation, Audye and I talk about what it's like to grow up as the child who adapts instead of the child who's allowed to just be. We get into the specific moment she realized her marriage was echoing her childhood, the first boundary she ever set and what it cost her, and why she still doesn't have a clean answer on forgiveness. If you've ever wondered why certain relationships feel like you're back in an old role you thought you'd outgrown, this one's for you. S3E31 Healing Body Shame: The Hidden Forgiveness Every Woman Needs 04.08.2026 35minHello Forgiver, In this episode, I sit down with Jane Snyder, affectionately known as Mama Jane, founder of Wisdom Wellness Coaching and host of the Cycles and Sanctity podcast. As a Catholic Womanhood Coach, fertility educator, and certified mindset coach, Jane helps women rediscover the wisdom of their reproductive health while uncovering the beliefs and emotions that shape their relationship with their bodies. We explore how body shame often grows from unrealistic cultural expectations, painful life experiences, and misunderstandings about our feminine design. More importantly, we discuss how forgiveness can become a powerful pathway toward healing, because resentment, disappointment, and self-rejection keep us from living in the freedom God desires for us. S3E30 When "Let Go" is Bad Advice 28.07.2026 12minFriend, Have you ever watched someone you love go through a painful betrayal or heartbreak and felt totally helpless? We want so badly to help our friends and family heal, but well-meaning advice like "you just need to let it go" or "holding onto bitterness only hurts you" can actually do more harm than good. In this episode, we tackle the tricky question of how to walk alongside someone in deep pain without rushing them before they are ready, without pushing for unsafe reconciliation, and without experiencing compassion fatigue ourselves. As a Certified Catholic Mindset Coach, I see firsthand the incredible breakthroughs that happen when we simply offer a gentle, loving presence with no strings attached. Forgiveness cannot be forced or manipulated. Recommended Books: The Forgiving Life: A Pathway to Overcoming Hurts and Reclaiming Your Happiness by Dr. Robert D. S3E29 How One Safe Adult Helps Heal Childhood Trauma (Summer Rewind) 21.07.2026 13minFriends, Healing trauma often happens in layers. Just when we think we've worked through the pain, another memory, emotion, or grief surfaces, inviting us into deeper healing. In this Summer Rewind episode, I share the story of the man who became my primary father figure during childhood, my Uncle Isaac. As I continue my own healing journey through somatic practices and grief work, I've been reflecting on the profound impact one loving adult can have on a child's life. Though trauma leaves lasting wounds, research consistently shows that one safe, caring adult can help foster resilience and create a foundation for healing. Whether you're recovering from childhood trauma, grieving a significant loss, or reflecting on the people who shaped your life, this episode offers hope and encouragement. They fell in love with their beautiful little boy, but after multiple diagnoses, their dream of a healthy child was dashed. S3E27 Cultivating Joy in a Suffering Season 07.07.2026 12minFriends, Healing is not all gloom and doom. When we've been deeply hurt, betrayed, or disappointed, it can feel as though suffering has taken over every corner of our lives. Yet even in our darkest seasons, moments of joy remain available to us. The challenge is learning how to recognize and receive them. As part of this Summer Rewind series, I'm revisiting one of my favorite short episodes. In this conversation, I explore how we can become more receptive to joy in the midst of suffering and how our own wounds can become a source of compassion, wisdom, and hope for others. Drawing on insights from Fr. Robert Spitzer's book, Finding True Happiness, I discuss the four levels of happiness and how a deeper understanding of joy can transform the way we navigate hardship. You'll also learn my simple three-step practice for cultivating receptivity to joy: Stop – Pause long enough to notice what is happening within and around you. Drop – Release your resistance to the present moment. Rock & Roll – Lean into life, gratitude, and meaningful action. Suffering and joy are not mutually exclusive. We can grieve and still be grateful. We can carry pain and still experience beauty. We can be healing and still encounter moments of genuine happiness. S3E26 How Forgiveness Transforms Guilt with Fr. Thomas Berg (Summer Rewind) 30.06.2026 39minFriends, In this Summer Rewind episode, I'm bringing back my conversation with Fr. Thomas Berg, originally released as Choosing Forgiveness. Together, we explore one of the most challenging aspects of the Christian life: what happens when guilt lingers long after we've sought forgiveness. Many of us understand God's mercy intellectually, yet continue carrying shame, self-condemnation, and regret. Fr. Thomas offers profound insights into the relationship between forgiveness, guilt, freedom, and God's healing grace. Drawing from Scripture, spiritual wisdom, and practical experience, this conversation invites us to reflect on Jesus' call to reconciliation and consider how forgiveness can transform not only our relationships with others, but also our relationship with ourselves. Reflection Question If God has already forgiven you, what keeps you from receiving that forgiveness fully? Fr. S3E25 The Mother Wound: Identity, Boundaries and Forgiveness 23.06.2026 19minFriends, In this episode, I explore the mother wound: how early relational experiences shape identity, distort boundaries, and quietly influence how we relate to ourselves, others, and even God. I focus my discussion primarily on the mother-daughter relationship. Many daughters grow up learning to perform for love, manage emotional climates, and abandon their own needs in order to maintain connection. Over time, these adaptations can harden into identity. This episode is especially for those who have done years of healing work, yet still feel something unresolved beneath the surface. And for those listening who wonder if this applies to you, you may find your own story reflected here, or gain deeper compassion for those you love. Key Takeaway: You are not defined by what was missing. You are being restored into who you were created to be. Resources: Karyl McBride – Will I Ever Be Good Enough? S3E24 Sacred Battleground: Forgiveness and the Heart 16.06.2026 13minFriends, If forgiveness takes place in the heart, what kind of heart is capable of forgiving? In Episodes 21 and 22, I explored the anxiety that often accompanies forgiveness and practical ways to move through it. In this episode, we go into the heart itself. June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a devotion that invites us to contemplate Christ's boundless love for humanity. As I reflected on the image of the Sacred Heart, exposed, wounded, crowned with thorns, and burning with love, I began to wonder what it might teach us about forgiveness. Many of us move through life with either a hardened heart or a guarded heart. We have been wounded. We have learned to protect ourselves. But is there a difference between protecting our hearts and closing them off completely? Drawing from Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the example of Jesus Himself, I explore what it means to cultivate a heart that is ready to forgive. The Sacred Heart reminds us that suffering does not have to harden us. Through grace, our wounds can become places where God's mercy enters and transforms us. S3E23: Created for Love: Restoring Authentic Desire in a Pornified Culture 09.06.2026 27minFriends, In this episode, I sit down with Catholic Coach, Husband, and Father, Andrew Lanchoney, to discuss the impact of pornography on the human person and the journey toward healing and freedom. Together, we explore the deeper questions beneath pornography use: What are we really searching for? Why do so many people feel stuck? And how do we begin restoring authentic desire in a culture that often reduces people to objects for consumption? Drawing on the wisdom of St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body, this conversation offers hope for anyone who has struggled personally, loves someone who has, or wants to better understand the cultural forces shaping our view of human dignity. Freedom is possible. Healing is possible, and authentic love begins when we recognize that we were created for love, not use. S3E22 Tips for Overcoming Forgiveness Anxiety 02.06.2026 16minFriends, What if the anxiety you feel around forgiveness isn’t resistance… but protection? In this episode I explore the very real fear, confusion, and nervous system responses that can surface when we begin considering forgiveness after trauma, betrayal, abuse, or deep emotional pain. Forgiveness is often presented as simple or immediate, but for many people, the thought of forgiving can activate shame, panic, dissociation, hypervigilance, or emotional overwhelm. Why? Because our bodies remember what happened, even when our minds try to move on. Drawing from trauma research, somatic healing principles, and Christian spirituality, I explain how forgiveness anxiety may actually be a signal that deeper healing and safety are needed first. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why forgiveness can feel unsafe in the body How trauma responses impact our ability to forgive The connection between embodiment, emotional safety, and interior freedom Why misunderstanding forgiveness keeps many people stuck The difference between authentic forgiveness and forced forgiveness How unresolved trauma can manifest physically through chronic stress and mind-body symptoms Why becoming a “student of forgiveness” can reduce fear and confusion References: van der Kolk, Bessel A. S3E21 Why Forgiveness Can Feel So Scary 26.05.2026 20min*Content Warning* This episode contains mature content not suitable for minors. Please use discretion when listening. Friends, In this episode, I explore one of the most difficult and rarely discussed questions surrounding forgiveness: Who will I be if I let go of unforgiveness? For many people, unforgiveness is not simply an emotional response to pain. It becomes intertwined with identity, safety, survival, and even spirituality. When we’ve lived for years inside betrayal, abuse, abandonment, or grief, forgiveness can feel less like freedom and more like losing ourselves. In this episode, I share my own journey through childhood sexual abuse recovery and explore: how wounding can become part of our identity, why the nervous system resists unfamiliar peace, the attachment we develop to our personal stories, the spiritual pressure many Christians feel around forgiveness, and how repeated emotional patterns shape the brain over time. If forgiveness feels scary to you, you are not broken. You may simply be standing at a crossroads between survival and freedom. This episode offers compassion, insight, and hope for those who feel stuck in resentment, grief, fear, or confusion around forgiveness. S3E20 Fighting for Hope: Veteran Suicide and the Battle for Belonging 19.05.2026 43minFriends, As Memorial Day approaches, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. But there is another group of veterans quietly fighting battles long after deployment ends, those struggling to transition home, find belonging, and rediscover hope in civilian life. In this deeply important conversation, I’m joined by retired Lt. Colonel John Garcia, host of the Regiment of the Cross podcast, to discuss the invisible struggles many veterans face after returning home from service. John shares the heartbreaking realities surrounding veteran suicide, the emotional and psychological challenges of transitioning into civilian society, and the ways advocacy, agriculture, storytelling, and authentic human connection can help restore dignity, purpose, and hope. Together, we explore: Why the transition home can feel isolating and disorienting The importance of belonging and being truly seen The emotional toll of military service and reintegration The alarming statistics surrounding veteran suicide How civilians can better support veterans in their communities Why storytelling and meaningful work can become pathways to healing This episode is both a Memorial Day reflection and a call to greater compassion, awareness, and connection. If you know someone serving in the military, transitioning home, or quietly struggling, please share this conversation with them. S3E19 When the System Wounds, Who Do We Forgive? 12.05.2026 21minFriends, In a world marked by division, violence, and deep injustice, the question of forgiveness becomes anything but simple. In this deeply personal episode, I reflects on my lived experience of Apartheid, a system that shaped my childhood, understanding of safety, and relationship to truth. As global events echo familiar patterns of oppression and silenced voices, this episode explores what it means to hold both grief and compassion simultaneously. Through the life and witness of Nelson Mandela, a man who moved from prisoner to president and chose forgiveness in the face of profound injustice, we are invited into a difficult, necessary question: Who do we forgive when the system itself is the wound? This conversation doesn’t offer easy answers. Instead, it creates space to reflect on: Trauma stored in the body and how it resurfaces The impact of hidden or distorted history The tension between justice and forgiveness The role of our shared humanity (Ubuntu) in healing Why forgiveness begins with people, not systems “Systems are made of people, and when people change, systems change.” Whether you are carrying personal wounds or witnessing injustice in the world around you, this episode invites you to consider one small but powerful step: Who is one person you might be ready to forgive? S3E18 Loving an Alcoholic: Healing the Hidden Wounds Left Behind 05.05.2026 33minFriends, What does it do to your heart, your body, and your sense of safety to love someone struggling with alcohol use? In this episode, I’m joined by holistic health and fitness coach Tresa Salters, who shares her story of loving a spouse with alcohol use disorder, and the lasting impact it had on her mental, physical, and spiritual health. While much of the conversation around addiction focuses on the person struggling, this episode turns the lens toward the spouse and family members who are often left carrying unseen wounds. Tresa opens up about the moment she knew something had to change, how she began protecting herself and her children, and what true healing has looked like in the years since. If you’ve ever felt the ripple effects of someone else’s addiction, this conversation will remind you that your healing matters too.
