The Drey Dossier is an independent investigative project that uses open-source intelligence (OSINT) to trace how power operates through systems most people never see. Each episode follows money flows, corporate structures, surveillance architecture, and the technology shaping government and everyday life. This feed features audio versions of Drey YouTube investigations, with the same reporting and receipts, released alongside YouTube and Substack.

  • The national ID nobody voted for 11.09.2026 27min
This video is about how a government sign-in page can become a national identity system. Twenty-five years after the United States rejected a centralized national ID, the federal government is moving hundreds of public services onto Login.gov. Behind the familiar login screen is a growing identity infrastructure capable of connecting government records, verifying people who are not present, labeling accounts for suspected fraud, tracking browsers, and deciding who gets through the door. I followed Greg Hogan from the system Elon Musk used to reach two million federal employees, through his testimony over DOGE’s access to federal personnel records, and into his new role expanding Login.gov toward what officials have called a “globally recognized identity platform.” I also went through Login.gov’s code, federal directives, procurement records, court findings, and an unexplained increase from 100 million to 180 million accounts. What emerges is not one dramatic announcement, but a national identity system being assembled one agency, contractor, software switch, and fraud-prevention measure at a time. • The Charlie Kirk Data Machine 26.08.2026 21min
This video is about how a public crisis can become a data asset. A politically charged shooting can generate thousands of videos, photos, identities, locations, witness accounts, and movement records. Those materials can feed the systems that turn people into searchable patterns: faces, trajectories, associations, vehicles, accounts, organizations, and networks. I followed the timeline around the Charlie Kirk case, from White House technology infrastructure and federal voter-data demands to FBI digital-media intake and the network-focused policies that followed. • The medical center under Trump’s ballroom 22.08.2026 30min
Twenty-four hours before the White House announced Trump’s ballroom, the administration gathered more than sixty healthcare and technology companies to begin building a new national health-data system. A year later, Trump says the ballroom sits over an integrated military complex containing a hospital and medical facilities. The Supreme Court has allowed construction to continue while it considers the case. I went through the court filings, architectural drawings, CMS code, and Trump’s own statements to understand what they are building, how they are paying for it, and what Congress can still do. • We need to talk about Tucker 07.08.2026 39min
Seven people had dinner in a cabin in Maine and announced a movement for the forgotten American. The cabin belongs to the man at the head of the table — so does the network the manifesto aired on, the survival store advertised during it, and the gold company with his name on the paperwork. His own lawyers won a case by arguing no reasonable viewer takes him at his word. I took his lawyers at their word and spent a week checking everyone else at the table too. Some of them read real. That's what makes it worth twenty minutes. • Project Spotlight: CNN is missing from its own merger 02.08.2026 28min
Three sovereign wealth funds are buying thirty-eight and a half percent of the new Warner Brothers Paramount, one of them chaired by the man American intelligence concluded ordered the murder of a Washington Post columnist. But don't worry, they promised not to touch the newsrooms. The promise covers the broadcast stations and CBS News. I searched the entire FCC petition for the words Cable News Network and got zero results, because CNN is cable, cable has no license, and a license is the only thing Washington can take away.Every piece of work you would have to finish before selling a news network is finished. Everyone responsible says nothing has been decided. • the true cost of Trump Accounts 15.07.2026 33min
The Treasury Department has handed the account of every newborn in America to Robinhood, a stock-trading app carrying the largest fine in the history of its own regulator. But hey, it's free to use! The account opens the day your child is born, seeded with a thousand dollars of federal money, and to open it a parent hands over a biometric faceprint that Robinhood keeps forever, processed by an outside vendor named Persona whose entire government dashboard was found sitting on a public server this February, running 269 checks and filing secret reports to the Treasury's financial-crimes unit. The savings account seems to be the wrapper for a permanent data file on your child. And the government is already working with hospitals to open one automatically for every baby, before a single form is signed. So, I went looking for what "free" actually costs: thedreydossier.substack.com/p/the-true-cost-of-trump-accounts Follow me on TikTok / Instagram / X: @thedreydossier If this connected some dots, share it with a new parent who deserves to know what is being quietly built in the space between the government you can see and the one you cannot. Thanks for being here. • LIVE: DOGE's redesign got caught spying, now it sells you "privacy" - Ep. 4 08.07.2026 1h 14min
The Guardian just confirmed my reporting: a White House office has been quietly tracking Americans on federal sites for passports, voter registration, and prescription drugs. One day later, that same office shipped a "privacy" tool the internet is calling historic. Tonight I break down the timing that doesn't add up, the contradiction in their own words, and who actually built it. LIVE at 7PM Central (8 ET / 5 PT) Support the work and read the full files below. • Trump is lying about the Reflecting Pool 04.07.2026 21min
"They took some form of knife or blade, and put a 250 foot long gash into the beautiful facade of what took so much work, competence, and money to build and complete." Facade is definitely one word for it. The government paid somewhere between 6.8 and 14.6 million dollars to repaint the Reflecting Pool on the National Mall. Same contract, same job, two different federal databases, eight million dollars apart. That was the first thing that did not add up. Then it got worse... so I stopped following the money and started following the water. • Elon Musk's Secret Surgery Center 24.06.2026 29min
Only four states in the entire country have a law that even mentions neural data. There is no federal protection. Your thoughts have fewer legal protections than your thumbprint. Elon Musk knows that. And he is moving fast. I found a facility that Travis County thinks is a ranch. The EPA has never visited it, not once in five years, even though it sits on the Colorado River in a watershed that feeds Austin's drinking water. The animals being used there are registered to a UPS Store mailbox in Fremont, California. And yet the state environmental agency doesn't call it a ranch. It calls it a Commercial Research Facility. One where over 600 animals have undergone brain surgery. And then on March 31, 2026, Neuralink's General Counsel signed a new LLC into existence at that address. It's called Neuralink Surgery Center LLC. There is no surgery center license on file in Texas. This is the company that wants inside your skull. • Why Iran's Blockade Is an Oracle Story 24.06.2026 19min
On the same day Apple Maps allegedly removed the names of every town in Lebanon, Israel announced a goal of demolishing those towns village by village, peace talks with Iran collapsed, and the US announced a naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. This is one story, and it runs through one company. • What we caught in Beijing 18.06.2026 28min
On May 13, a CIA officer testified under oath that the United States covered up the fact that COVID came from a Chinese laboratory. Not one Democratic senator showed up, and the hearing has 60,000 views on YouTube. The same morning, Donald Trump's plane was landing in Beijing with the CEO of the company that reads 80% of the world's DNA on the delegation list. Four days after he flew home, the WHO declared an Ebola emergency in two countries that had just signed agreements handing their pathogen genomes to the United States Government. Almost no one is covering any of it. This is the story of the plan a former FDA commissioner wrote down in 2021, the agencies that got dismantled to make room for it, and the week last month it ran its first test.Read the full article thedreydossier.substack.com Follow me on TikTok / Instagram / X: @thedreydossier Independent journalism only exists if people can actually see it, so if this connected some dots, share it with somebody who works in public health, a journalist who should be covering this, or anyone who needs to know what got built in the space where the mourning was supposed to be.Thanks for being here. • LIVE: Passports.gov, Login.gov & July 4 16.06.2026 1h 15min
This is the live companion to my investigation: “Trump built his own passports.gov site" If the upload is the case file, consider this live the evidence table. Tonight we’re going through the receipts, questions, and loose threads I couldn’t fit into the main video: Passports.gov, Login.gov, the July 4 activation date, the proofing layer, and what this means for digital identity infrastructure. Bring your questions, I'll talk you through sourcing, walk through the timeline, and discuss what didn't make it off the chopping block. • Trump built a new passport.gov website 10.06.2026 29min
I found a new passports.gov, and it doesn't belong to the State Department. When I called them to ask about it, you'd be surprised what they said. After last week's dig into vote.gov and the National Design Studio, it felt like the right time to talk about passports, what's being built, and how fast it's all moving to be ready before July 4th. The full investigation: a passport portal built by the National Design Studio and registered to the Executive Office of the President instead of the agency that actually issues passports, three photo servers sitting behind a sign-in gate with no seal and no privacy notice, ad trackers wired onto the real State Department passport page where the privacy policy link is dead, and login.gov getting a new feature that lets an outside organization verify your identity without you in the room. • I found a second vote.gov — and it's registered to the White House 27.05.2026 30min
A White House office with no Senate confirmation, no financial disclosures, and no entry in any federal procurement database has built a secret copy of vote.gov, the country's voter registration website. It is run by the same people who were sued for accessing federal databases without clearance at DOGE. And it is collecting data on Americans right now, on a federal drug pricing website, with no privacy notices filed and no oversight body with jurisdiction to stop it. I found it by accident. I was on TrumpRx.gov. This is the full investigation into the National Design Studio, Joe Gebbia, and the shadow infrastructure being built inside the Executive Office of the President, connecting a White House-controlled passport portal going live this week, a federal voter registration system the DOJ told a judge doesn't exist, and the same private Cloudflare account running all of it. • Genesis Mission: The Manhattan Project for AI. Kind of. 11.05.2026 22min
On November 24, 2025, the federal government announced the largest AI program in American history and cut its science budget by thirteen percent in the same press release. They called the program the Genesis Mission, and they handed the largest piece of it to Oracle, the same company that already runs a federal clinical health records platform covering 9.6 million Americans, a platform called MHS GENESIS. And almost no one has connected these dots. • you're paying for Trump's ballroom 01.05.2026 25min
Twelve hours after Saturday's shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, the Department of Justice gave the National Trust for Historic Preservation until 9 a.m. Monday to drop its lawsuit against Trump's ballroom, or face a government motion to dismiss the case entirely. On June 5th, a federal appeals court is scheduled to rule on whether the President can spend public money on a major construction project without Congress voting on it, and the precedent that ruling sets is the asset the administration cannot afford to lose.Read the full articlethedreydossier.substack.comFollow me onTikTok / Instagram: @thedreydossier Independent journalism only exists if people can actually see it, so if this connected some dots, share it with someone who could use the information. Thanks for being here. Six days before the largest media merger in American history goes to a shareholder vote, Warner Bros. • The Shy Girl AI Scandal Is Way Worse Than You Think 14.04.2026 31min
The Shy Girl AI scandal got so much worse. I traced the story backward from the New York Times and found a sales pipeline, a manuscript nobody can verify, and a consultant who spent five weeks shaping the story without once contacting the author. Mia Ballard got a phone call the day the article ran. The man who brought the scoop to the Times closes his blog post calculating whether the experience was worth it for him. She lost everything. He lost his byline credit.Eight months earlier, the same man had his own book flagged by AI detection and got a personal call from an executive that fixed it over a weekend. Then he put a debut author in the same position and watched. This is Part II.[Read the full story here]:https://thedreydossier.substack.com/Follow me onTikTok: // thedreydossierInstagram: // thedreydossierIndependent journalism only exists if people can actually see it, so if this helped connect some dots, feel free to share it.
