Adelaide Connected is a podcast series that provides insight into people who have lived abroad and why they have chosen Adelaide as their home. Hosts Naomi Marsh and Ali Chatburn speak with professionals from various industries who are now based in Adelaide, South Australia. The podcast explores why they moved to Adelaide, how they navigated the migration experience and formed new networks, and what they love about their new hometown. There is also a companion podcast called 'Benchmarking Adelaide' that features passionate South Australian leaders discussing how Adelaide compares on a global scale.

Dr Roshanak (Rosh) Amrein, Principal Cosmetic Dentist at Adelaide Cosmetic Dentistry 09.07.2026 42minOriginally from Iran, Dr Rosh moved to Australia in the mid-1990s as part of the Bahá’í community, which faced severe persecution in her home country. Despite arriving with limited English, she completed high school, learned the language and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2000. Today, Dr Rosh has more than 20 years of experience in cosmetic and general dentistry, having worked in both the UK and Australia. In 2007, she established Adelaide Cosmetic Dentistry in Unley, known for combining advanced dental technology with a boutique, patient-focused experience. In her spare time, she hosts her own podcast, is a published poet and is very active in her community and human-rights advocacy. We chat to Dr Rosh about her life and career to date and what led her to call Adelaide home.

In the last five years, despite the significant geopolitical and pandemic disruptions, BHP has been the lowest cost iron ore charterer in the world, outpacing their peers. Rashpal was instrumental in the set-up of the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation in Singapore, where BHP is a founding member. The Centre is regarded as the premier industry think tank and future fuels innovator. Rashpal has held global roles in The Hague in Netherlands, India, and Singapore, across Technology, Marketing, Procurement and Maritime.
