#1086 "Who Are You Going to Be?" A REVING the Word Endurance Workout 14.09.2026 46minWhat if the thing you're asking God to resolve is actually the thing He's using to form you? In this REVING the Word workout, Jennifer Allen invites you to move and make space for the Holy Spirit to form you in the middle of whatever season you're in. Maybe you're waiting for clarity, navigating change, relationships, making a hard decision, or asking God to just fix something. What if peace isn't found in getting the answer, fixing the relationship, or resolving the thing you've been carrying? Jennifer invites us to consider a different kind of peace, the kind that comes from staying connected to Christ while the story is still unfolding. There are moments when God doesn't answer the questions we're asking. Instead, He asks us a better one: Who are you going to be? What if He's doing a deep work in you while you wait? New to REVING the Word? In these episodes, we don't just listen to Scripture, we embody the Word by moving our feet. So move however you can today, walk, run, march in place. There is no "right" way, so take a breath, and let your movement become your worship. #1085 "The Commanders of Calm" A REVING the Word Interval Workout 07.09.2026 34minJesus told His disciples, "Let us go across to the other side." And then a storm came. They were in the boat fighting a stom, and Jesus was asleep. The waves were rising. The boat was filling with water. And the disciples asked the question we've all asked of Jesus: "Don't you care?" In this REVING the Word workout, Alisa Keeton invites you into the story of Jesus calming the storm in Mark 4. As you move and let the Word move in you, notice what happens in your body when you think about the storms you're going through. Let your movement become an opportunity to practice trusting faith. We are all headed for a storm, in a storm, or coming out of one. The invitation isn't to avoid the storm. It's to discover who Jesus is in the middle of it, and learn to trust Him. "If Jesus put you in it, He'll get you through it." #1084 It's Never Too Late to Start Again | A Conversation with Maxetta Gadd 03.09.2026 46min"You want some change in your life? Start praying." -Maxetta Gadd For anyone who's felt disconnected from their body. Tried to control their way into freedom. For anyone who's wondered if it's too late to start again. Pull up a chair and listen in as Alisa sits down with our friend, Maxetta Gadd, for a real, honest conversation about the winding road back to truth. Maxetta gets real about the tension of knowing the truth but still finding yourself walking in lies. She shares the real struggles in her body and how missing out on opportunities to live life fully with the people she loves led her to make a bold change. Surrender. What followed wasn't a quick fix or a perfect before-and-after story. It was a deep surrender that began changing the way Maxetta understood her body, her habits, her relationship with food, and the Holy Spirit's role in her everyday life. Truth was revealed. And it started with prayer. This isn't a story about having it all together. It's a story of surrender. About discovering that what you thought was discipline could actually become delight. And about coming back to a community that will remind you who you are when you forget. Because it's never too late to start again. Watch this episode on Youtube! #1083 "The House of God" A Be Still and Be Loved Biblical Meditation 31.08.2026 14minBe Still & Be Loved is a guided Scripture meditation designed to help you slow down, become aware of God's presence, and rest in His peace. In this time to be still and be loved, Alisa invites you to settle into your body, breathe deeply, and remember: His presence is in you. He is always near. Peace is found in Him. Drawing from Haggai 2:9, you'll be reminded that your body, mind, heart, will, and desires are a house of God, and "in this place, I will give peace." As you rest in this time of stillness, bring a current circumstance that feels unsettling or painful to mind and imagine living it as a person of peace. This is embodiment of the Word, and an invitation to receive His presence and live as a person of peace. Take a breath. Return to His presence. Receive His peace. He is already here. 🎵 Song: Peace by Anna Golden Ready to Go Deeper? 👉 Join RW+ for faith-based workouts, health and wellness programs, and a community pursuing health and wholeness together. https://www.revelationwellness.org/membership/ 👉 Become a Donor — Support the mission of Revelation Wellness and help us continue to equip people to know God, get healthy, be whole, and love others. 👉 Get connected — revelationwellness.org | Youtube | Instagram | Facebook Share this episode with someone who needs the reminder that their body is the house of God. #1082 "Rejoicing is a Choice" A REVING the Word Interval Workout 24.08.2026 35minWhen life feels disappointing, heavy, or uncertain, rejoicing can feel like the last thing you want to do. But Scripture gives us another way. Joy is a fruit, and rejoicing is a choice. In this REVING the Word experience, Kara invites you to move your body while training your heart to rejoice in the Lord—even when your circumstances don't feel good. Through Scripture, movement, worship, and what Kara calls 'chorus cardio intervals,' you'll use the music to move your feet. Rejoicing is a learned response, we get to choose it. Whether you're walking, running, or cleaning the house move in whatever way works for you today. This is your invitation to move while letting God's Word move in you. Rejoicing is your battle plan. What can you rejoice for today? Anchor Scriptures: Philippians 4:4 Psalm 118:24 Habakkuk 3:17–18 Psalm 34:1 Galatians 5:22–23 Embodied Practice: Gratitude is a muscle! It grows stronger the more you do it. So practice rejoicing today. Name what's hard. What is your "fig tree" right now? Where are you disappointed, discouraged, or waiting for something to change? Then choose to praise God, not because your circumstances are good, but because He is good. Say this out loud: "This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it." And when you wake up tomorrow, say it again. Rejoicing is a learned response. Keep choosing it. Keep practicing it. Keep reminding your heart of what is true. 🎵 Playlist for this REVING the Word: The Joy - Studio Version– The Belonging Co, David Dennis, Andrew Holt, Shantrice Laura Joy Is Coming – Rave Jesus, Terrian, SON. #1081 Teaching: Your Body Doesn't Need a Steward. It Needs a Shepherd. 20.08.2026 37min"We steward our lives by staying close to the shepherd who knows how to feed and care for his sheep." What if the way we've been taught to "steward" our bodies is actually keeping us more focused on our bodies than free in them? In this teaching, Alisa Keeton invites us to take a deeper look at stewardship, and what Scripture actually says about stewarding our bodies. If you've ever felt like you should be doing more, eating better, exercising differently, or getting your body 'right' this conversation is for you. Alisa walks through a body dissatisfaction scale and explores how easily Christian wellness language can become another way of watching, comparing, and trying to control our bodies. Instead, she offers a different picture: Bodies need shepherding more than stewarding. Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He knows how to lead, restore, and care for us. Our invitation is to stay close to the One who knows how to care for our whole selves. In this teaching, you'll explore: What body dissatisfaction really is how to identify it in ourselves How body stewardship can unintentionally become another form of control Why bodies are meant to be lived in, not watched The connection between soul hunger and body dissatisfaction What Scripture actually says about stewardship What it looks like to seek Jesus first in a noisy, hyper-visual wellness culture Why we may need a Shepherd, not another set of rules Watch this teaching on Youtube: https://youtu.be/If8NlxBuKVU Practice & Reflection The next time you notice yourself watching, measuring, comparing, or criticizing your body, pause and ask: Am I living in my body, or am I watching my body? Then take a breath and turn your attention toward the Good Shepherd. What would change if I trusted the Good Shepherd to care for me instead of believing I have to control myself? Teaching Scriptures: John 10:10 — Life to the full Romans 12:1 — Offering our bodies to God 1 Corinthians 10 — Honoring God with our bodies 1 Corinthians 4:1–2 — Stewarding the mysteries of God 1 Peter 4:10 — Stewarding God's gifts Matthew 25:14–30 — The parable of the talents 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 — Our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit Mark 6:34 — Jesus' compassion for people like sheep without a shepherd 1 Peter 2:24–25 — Jesus as Shepherd and Overseer of our souls Psalm 23 — The Lord as our Shepherd Mentioned in this Teaching Download the Body Dissatisfaction Scale: https://www.revelationwellness.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/body-dissatisfaction-scale.jpg Why Do I Hate My Body Webinar. #1080 "When God Feels Absent, Keep Rowing" A REVING the Word Intervals Workout 17.08.2026 40minWhat do you do when you followed God into the boat, and then He seems to disappear? When the storm lasts longer than you expected, the answers don't come, and you find yourself asking, Where are You, God? In this REVING the Word experience, Alisa Keeton walks through John 6:16–21, where the disciples find themselves rowing through a storm after witnessing Jesus perform a miracle. As you move your body, you'll explore what it means to trust God when He feels absent, and to recognize His presence in the middle of the storm. Train your heart as you move your body. Whether you're walking, running, or cleaning the house as you listen, this is an invitation to get honest and bring your questions before God. You don't have to understand the storm to trust the One who put you in the boat. Today's Scripture John 6:16–21 Embodied Practice: Grab a notebook, on the left side write out your groans, your questions, complaints, frustrations, and fears. Bring it honestly to God. Then, on the right side, write: "But as for me..." Lift all these things up to God. Trust Him. Follow Him. He is worthy. Keep rowing. Playlist for this REVING the Word: So Good – riley. #1079 "Stop Waiting to Arrive" A REVING the Word Workout 10.08.2026 36minWhat if joy isn't waiting for you at the finish line? Have you been waiting to feel joyful, confident, or close to God once you finally reach your goal? In this REVING the Word experience, Revelation Wellness Instructor and staff, Tori, invites you to move your body while meditating on Philippians 3:12–14. As you listen and move your body, you'll explore the difference between striving and surrender, conviction and condemnation, and learn how God transforms us through small acts of faithful obedience. Press play and practice perseverance. Your heart will be reminded that Christ already took hold of you, and that's why you can keep pressing on. New to REVING the Word? REVING the Word is where movement becomes worship. However you move today—walking, stretching, or cleaning the house—this is your invitation to fix your eyes on Christ while moving the body He has given you. You don't have to arrive before you experience His joy. Bring your whole self—body, mind, and spirit—and receive His grace. Anchor Scripture: Philippians 3:12–14 Practice this Week: Spend a few minutes reflecting on these questions: Where in your life have you been waiting to arrive before allowing yourself to experience joy? Are you pursuing health to earn something? What is one faithful step you can take today? Write your responses in a journal and ask the Lord to show you what one faithful "yes" looks like today. #1078 "What Do You Really Want?" A REVING the Word Sprint Workout 03.08.2026 37minWhat do you really want? Beneath every frustration, fear, or unanswered prayer is often a deeper longing. In this REVING the Word experience, Alisa Keeton invites you to move your body as you engage with Psalm 23 through movement, prayer, reflection, and worship. Explore the difference between our wants and our deepest needs, and the freedom that comes when we let the Good Shepherd lead. In this workout, you'll be invited into a series of sprint intervals that will interrupt your comfort and wake up the body. #1077 The Posture of Wellness 16.07.2026 41minHave you ever felt like you're doing everything right, stayed faithful, done the work, surrendered it to God, and still felt like it isn't working? Maybe it's your health, your marriage, a dream, or a body that won't cooperate. You've sown plenty and harvested little, and you're starting to wonder: is this even worth it? In this episode, Alisa gets honest about a season she's just walked through herself and unpacks why our instinct in that place is almost always the same: to grip tighter. She talks about the "palmer grasp reflex." The primitive, clenching survival instinct we're literally born with explains why we try to control our weight, our health, and our circumstances when life feels uncertain. Walking through the story of Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 12, Alisa unpacks what she calls the posture of wellness, a way of holding both pain and trust, sorrow and celebration, certainty and mystery, at the same time, instead of swinging between control and collapse. You're invited to picture and practice what it looks like to open your hands and receive rather than grasp and control. Bringing both our pain and our praise to God at the same time. Embodied Practices to Participate in Surrender Notice the clench: Pay attention to the moments you start gripping, controlling, or trying to force an outcome. That's your cue to pause. Get curious instead of certain: When you feel the urge to white-knuckle a decision or a habit, ask a question instead of making a final judgment. Open your hands: Practice naming what's hard in one hand and what you know is true about God in the other and bring both to Him. These aren't just spiritual practices; they're ways of working with how God designed our nervous systems so that our minds, bodies, and spirits can come into alignment with Him. #1076 "You Won't Be Wrong" A REVING the Word Workout 13.07.2026 38minYou can be walking with God and still walk through painful places. Following Jesus does not mean we avoid hurt, opposition, or discomfort. But it does mean we are never without His presence. In this REVING the Word workout, Alisa Keeton explores Luke 10:17-20 and the authority Jesus gives His followers. When the 72 disciples returned amazed by what God had done through them, Jesus reminded them that their greatest victory was not what they accomplished, but that their names were written in heaven. Followers of Jesus will experience hurt. We will face resistance and walk through hard things. But when you are anchored in Jesus, "you won't be wrong." Press play, move your body, open your heart, and let His Word move in you. Anchor Scriptures Luke 10:17–20 Luke 9 Luke 12:32 Hebrews 11:1 Psalm 139 New to REVING the Word? Your body was created to carry the presence and purpose of God. In REVING the Word episodes, we don't just listen to Scripture; we practice it. We let God's truth move from our ears into our hearts and through our bodies. Move however you want. Walk. Lift. Stretch. Dance. There is no "right" way. A relationship, a situation, or a prayer you've been waiting on? In this REVING the Word workout, Jennifer Allen invites you to discover the freedom of holy indifference—the practice of caring deeply while releasing control to God. #1074 "Treasures" A Be Still and Be Loved Biblical Meditation 29.06.2026 16minBe Still & Be Loved is a guided Scripture meditation designed to help you slow down, quiet your mind, and rest in God's presence. Whether you're beginning your day, taking a midday pause, or preparing for sleep, this space invites you to breathe deeply and receive His peace. Take a few moments to settle into a comfortable position. If you're able, lie down. If not, find a seat where you can rest without distraction. As you begin to notice your breath, pay attention to how your state of being starts to shift. Every inhale and exhale is a reminder that God is near, holding you with His steady love. In this guided meditation, you'll reflect on 2 Corinthians 4:7: "But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us." Though our bodies are fragile, they carry something infinitely valuable—God's presence. He is our greatest treasure, and He treasures every part of us, including our minds. Together we'll quiet the noise, fix our thoughts on what is excellent, noble, and true, and rest in the One who is making us new—body, mind, and spirit. Breathe deeply. You are held. You are loved. You are His treasure. #1073 Does the Body Really Keep the Score? 25.06.2026 34minHave you seen videos of people experiencing a dramatic emotional release and wondered, "Do I need that to heal?" The conversation around trauma, somatic healing, and nervous system regulation has exploded in recent years. Many point to the bestselling book The Body Keeps the Score and the idea that trauma is stored in the body. Others argue that trauma isn't stored in the body at all, but rather in the brain's predictive patterns and responses. So what's true? In this episode, Alisa explores this important conversation through both science and Scripture, examining where biology and theology meet. Together we'll consider what trauma does to the brain and body, why healing requires more than information alone, and how God's design for our minds and bodies points us toward lasting freedom. You'll discover: What somatic release is The difference between trauma being "stored" in the body versus encoded in the brain How trauma can impact our ability to shift from fear, anxiety, and hypervigilance into peace and safety Why tending to the body can help us tend to the mind What Romans 12:2 and 2 Corinthians 10:5 teach us about renewing our minds Why healing happens in connection, not isolation How the compassion of Christ invites us into true restoration Alisa also unpacks Jesus' encounter with the man at the pool in John 5, asking a powerful question: Do we truly want to be healed, even when healing requires discomfort, surrender, and change? Practical Ways to Participate in Healing Get close to Jesus Spend time in God's Word until your heart is awakened to His truth and love. Stay connected to God's people Healing happens in relationships with people who embody the love and truth of Christ. Practice daily sacrifice Learn to become comfortable with healthy discomfort. These practices are more than spiritual disciplines—they are psycho-neuro-biological pathways that help align our minds, bodies, and spirits with God's design for wholeness. Through gentle intervals and reflective questions, you'll be invited to notice where your fists are closed and practice opening your hands to God's presence. Together, you'll explore the difference between groaning and grumbling, how suffering can become a pathway to deeper trust, and why surrender is often the beginning of coming home to God. #1071 "The God Who Sees" A REVING the Word INTERVAL Workout 15.06.2026 41minIn this interval workout, Alisa Keeton invites you to move your body so you can return to your body—and encounter a God who created it. This is not a "have to." It's a get-to. A chance to care for your body, nourish it, and remember that worry and striving lead toward bondage, while presence leads toward freedom. A Question to Begin When was the last time you felt truly seen by God? Because the God who sees… sees you. Today's Scripture 📖 Genesis 1:31 "God saw all that He had made, and it was very good." The Hebrew word tov means good—whole, complete, flourishing. Before anything was said, there was seeing. God didn't just declare goodness—He saw it. Knowing vs. Being Seen Knowing God is cognitive. Being seen by God is embodied. To know we are good, we need to be seen. Three Ways to Experience Being Seen by God Read the Word Gather in community Be known (vulnerability and honesty) Move as an Invitation As you move through today's intervals, let this become more than exercise. Let it become a practice of receiving God's gaze. You are not striving to be good. You are learning to believe what God already sees. Keep moving. Stay present. And let yourself be seen. #1067 The History of Skinny 21.05.2026 37minWhy are bodies getting smaller while the pressure on women keeps getting bigger? In this honest conversation, Alisa explores the cultural history behind "skinny" and how thinness became more than a body type—it became a value system. From social media and celebrity culture to the rise of GLP-1 medications, she unpacks the modern obsession with shrinking ourselves and asks: how did we get here? For most of human history, thinness was not the ideal. Curvier bodies once represented wealth, health, abundance, and freedom from hard labor. So what changed? Alisa traces the major cultural shifts beginning in the 1700s, when thinness became tied to morality, status, control, and virtue through the influences of classicism, racism, and religious legalism. She also discusses how Enlightenment thinking separated people from their bodies—teaching us to live "from the head up" while distrusting the body God created. This episode isn't about health. It's about the spiritual and emotional roots beneath the desire to be smaller. Along the way, she explores why God delights in diversity. Creation itself reveals a Creator who loves variety—not uniformity. From ecosystems and landscapes to personalities, gifts, and bodies, God's design reflects abundance rather than sameness. What if body diversity wasn't a problem to solve, but part of God's good and intentional design? We also talk about: The intense pressure women face to stay thin The influence of social media and celebrity culture The growing normalization of GLP-1 medications How body ideals have changed throughout history Why God values diversity in His creation, including our bodies What the Bible actually says about gluttony Why behavior change without heart healing never lasts The spiritual chains hidden beneath body obsession Most importantly, she asks the question that culture rarely asks: Who are you becoming? The gospel does not call us to become thinner versions of ourselves. It calls us to become more like Christ. While the world focuses on shrinking bodies, God is concerned with transforming hearts. Freedom begins when we stop measuring our worth by our appearance and start allowing Christ to form His character within us. At the root of every body struggle is a deeper question: What's happening in the heart that's driving the behavior? This episode is a call to a Body Reformation—a reformation of value and worth. The goal is not a smaller body, but a freer heart. Not conformity to culture, but transformation in Christ. Because the question that matters most isn't How do I look? But who am I becoming?
