  • Understanding Your True Value: Why Clients Say Yes 17.08.2026 21мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM740_MDM_Jul17_26.mp3   Understanding your true value is the difference between chasing clients and having them show up ready to say yes. I learned this years ago from a mentor of mine, Bob, who asked me to sell a program that did not exist yet. No outline. No pricing. No details. Just a promise of the result. It sounded too good to be true — and it changed how I sell for good.  Understanding Your True Value Before You Ever Say a WordWhen Bob told me to sell his program without a single detail, I pushed back hard. How was I supposed to sell something I knew nothing about? He looked at me like I had missed the point. People do not buy the program, he said. They buy the result. I sold a hundred spots in a few days, and we did five million dollars in three months, before the thing had even been built. That conversation taught me more about selling than anything before it. Once I stopped proving my worth through what I had built, everything shifted.  Why the Package Was Never the PointFor years I believed my value lived inside the package — the pricing, the curriculum, the credentials I could point to. None of that matters to the person sitting across from you. What you have done in the past does not connect the way you think it does. Clients connect to whether you can get them where they want to go. The moment you put your value into the product instead of into yourself, you stop communicating anything real. You start talking about you, your process, your service — and people feel the insecurity behind it.  Understanding Your True Value in an Entrepreneurial MindsetWhen I was a kid, there were always the cool kids everyone wanted to be around. What established value did they actually have? None. It was assumed into existence. Sales works the same way. You have built something, developed a skill, raised yourself up in society to the point where you have something people genuinely need. Most of us were raised with a middle-class mindset, where someone else hands you opportunity and you trade your time for it. Stepping into business means stepping into your own authority — not arrogantly, but as an acknowledgment of what you bring to the table.  When You Don’t Trust What You’re WorthLast week I said yes to something I did not want to do — hauling furniture across state lines for family — and my week fell apart around it. Power outages, internet down twice, a cut line on the property. None of it made sense until I realized I had agreed out of guilt instead of alignment. The moment I corrected it, the chaos stopped. Your energy runs your business more than your strategy does. Say yes to what you actually want, say no to what you do not, and fix it fast when you get it wrong.  That is the real work behind every sale, every client relationship, and every yes you give in your life. It starts with understanding your true value and refusing to negotiate it down. Episode 511 – Give Full Value to Receive Full Value Episode 590 – The Consistency of Action Episode 708 – People Are Always Buying – The Next Step Wins YOU’VE LEARNED THE STRATEGIES… SO WHY DOES YOUR REVENUE STILL CONTINUE TO PLATEAU?Here’s what I know about most business owners: They’re working hard, doing the right things, and still hitting the same income ceiling year after year. That ceiling has a name — it’s your Financial Set Point. It’s the unconscious limit you’ve placed on what you believe you can earn, and until you see it clearly, it runs the show no matter what strategies you put in place. That’s what we work on THIS WEEK at my Business Intensive in Charlotte, NC.  Over two days, I’ll help you identify your financial set point, understand why it’s there, and break through it so you can finally earn what you want without the constant struggle and hustle that’s been getting you nowhere. If that sounds like exactly what’s been missing, you don’t want to sit this one out. • Success Without the Struggle 10.08.2026 19мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM739_MDM_Jul13_26.mp3   Success without the struggle isn’t a fantasy — it’s the other side of a law most of us were never taught to use. For years I believed, like most people do, that the harder something felt, the more it counted. Then I sat down with a piece of paper, the Law of Polarity, and everything about how I chase goals changed. Success Without the Struggle Begins With the Law of Polarity Draw a horizontal line. Put a vertical line through the middle. Negative on the left — lack, difficulty, not having. Positive on the right — the money, the people, the opportunity, already here. Those two sides are not separate. They’re connected in the middle, the same way my phone has a left side and a right side that both belong to the same object. When you’re chasing a goal, especially one tied to money, your perception convinces you that only the negative side is real. That’s what success without the struggle actually requires: recognizing both sides already exist right now, not someday, not once you’ve earned it. Success Without the Struggle Means Questioning Your Perception Here’s the part that took me years to fully get: the problem you’re carrying doesn’t exist in reality. It exists in your perception. You’ve been so locked onto what you don’t have that your mind has stopped registering what’s already available to you. Doubt, fear, and worry aren’t proof that something is wrong — they’re just what happens when you emotionally align with the wrong side of the line. You were handed a paradigm as a kid, probably one that said good things come from struggle. Success without the struggle means catching yourself the moment that old paradigm speaks up, and choosing the truth instead of the story. Why Success Without the Struggle Still Takes Action None of this is magical thinking. Choosing truth over perception doesn’t mean you sit still and wait. It means you stop assuming the goal requires suffering and start doing the plain, practical thing in front of you — the calls, the outreach, the conversation you’ve been avoiding. I was raised, like a lot of people, to believe I shouldn’t bother anyone or ask for anything. But you’re not asking anymore. You have something of real value to offer, and the people who need it are already close to you. Success without the struggle doesn’t mean success without effort — it means effort without suffering, faith applied daily through what you actually do. What you want — the sale, the client, the house, the shift in your bank account — isn’t something you have to force into existence. It’s already here, waiting on the other side of the same line you’re standing on. Success without the struggle simply means getting in harmony with what’s true instead of what your perception has convinced you is missing. Episode 617 – You’ll Always Get What You Need When You Need It Episode 553 – Vulnerability: Is it Good for Business? Episode 333 – The Psychology of Sales YOU’VE LEARNED THE STRATEGIES… SO WHY DOES YOUR REVENUE STILL CONTINUE TO PLATEAU?Here’s what I know about most business owners: They’re working hard, doing the right things, and still hitting the same income ceiling year after year. • How Mindset Affects Fertility with Rosanne Austin 03.08.2026 37мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM738_RosanneAustin.mp3   How mindset affects fertility is something almost nobody considers until they’ve tried everything else. In this episode, I sit down with my client and friend Rosanne Austin, a former trial attorney turned fertility mindset coach, to talk about the piece most fertility journeys leave out, and the documentary she made about it, The Mind of Fertility. How Mindset Affects Fertility When Nothing Else Is WorkingRosanne spent seven years trying to have a baby. She was doing everything the specialists told her to do. Clean diet, expensive protocols, relentless effort. Nothing worked. When she finally asked herself what was out of alignment, she realized the one piece she had never addressed was her own mind. She was walking into every treatment expecting to fail, and that expectation, not her body, was running the show. Once she started working with her mindset instead of just her medical protocol, everything shifted. She went on to get pregnant naturally in her forties. The Mind-Body Connection Doctors Are Finally AcknowledgingFor years, Rosanne asked her doctors whether stress could be affecting her ability to conceive. She was told no. But the mind and body aren’t two separate systems, they’re one closed loop, and chronic stress shows up physically whether or not we can measure exactly how. This year, researchers at MD Anderson documented a seventy percent reduction in aggressive cancer cell growth when patients applied focused intention. Rosanne has since been invited by Baylor College of Medicine’s Chief of Reproductive Endocrinology to teach physicians what she learned firsthand. Medicine is finally catching up to what she already knew. How Mindset Affects Fertility And Why It Is Not Your FaultIf you’re doing everything right and still not getting the result you want, Rosanne’s question isn’t an accusation, it’s an invitation. She asks her clients, could it be me, not from guilt but from curiosity. Most of us who say we’ve tried everything haven’t actually looked at what we believe about our chances. That’s not a character flaw. It’s usually a paradigm running quietly in the background, and the women who never get their baby are the ones who gave up on questioning it.Choosing Motherhood On Your Own TermsRosanne works mostly with accomplished women in their forties who were taught that ambition and motherhood sit on opposite ends of the same line. Yet the CDC now reports a real rise in births among women over forty, proof this window is wider than most of us were told. Every woman in Rosanne’s documentary kept saying yes to her vision, even when the odds looked impossible. Rosanne told me something I haven’t stopped thinking about: I hope you never forget how powerful you are. That’s the clearest proof of how mindset affects fertility I’ve ever heard. It changes the outcome and who you become along the way. Episode 640 – Where Do You Stop? Episode 640 – Student Spotlight: Checking In with Rosanne Austin Episode 606 – Student Spotlight: Rosanne Austin YOU’VE LEARNED THE STRATEGIES… SO WHY DOES YOUR REVENUE STILL CONTINUE TO PLATEAU?Here’s what I know about most business owners: They’re working hard, doing the right things, and still hitting the same income ceiling year after year. • Breaking the Victim Mentality: Why You Stay Stuck 27.07.2026 20мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM737_MDM_Jul7_26.mp3   Breaking the victim mentality is the difference between the life you’re settling for and the life you’re capable of building. I’ve watched people stay stuck in the same spot for years — not because they lack ability, but because somewhere inside them a line got drawn, and nobody taught them how to cross it. Breaking the Victim Mentality Starts With Seeing the LineEvery person carries an internal set point — a line in their mind that decides how much they’ll tolerate before they finally act. I’ve coached people who kept sliding toward that line, watching their bank account or their health get worse, and they wouldn’t move until they hit it. Even successful people have this line. The difference is that they know it’s there, and they refuse to stay on it. Here’s what most people never realize: that line wasn’t set by them. Somebody else — a parent, a teacher, an early experience — set it long before you had any say. Until you become conscious of where your line sits, it runs your thinking, your emotions, and your behavior without asking permission. Breaking the Victim Mentality Means Walking Away From the Victim TriangleThat line operates off a pattern I call the victim triangle: victim, persecutor, rescuer. When you’re stuck at your line, part of you starts looking for someone or something to save you — a lucky break, a new opportunity, a person who will finally fix things. That’s where a lot of what looks like distraction, chasing the next shiny idea, actually comes from. It’s a wish disguised as a plan. The truth that changes everything is realizing you are your own rescuer. Nobody is coming to do this for you, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner the excuses lose their grip on your decisions. The Subconscious Line That Never Fully DisappearsThat line never completely disappears, even for those of us who’ve done the work. I still know exactly where mine used to sit, and every so often I look back at how close I came to it before I decided to discipline myself and show up differently, day after day. A mentor once told me the subconscious mind is insidious — you don’t want to underestimate it, and you have to stay committed to the course you’ve charted. The line doesn’t vanish — you simply build enough distance that it stops running your life. That distance comes from discipline and maturity, not motivation. Motivation fades. Discipline is what keeps you moving toward the person you actually want to become. Be Your Own Fist, Not Someone Else’s VictimAre you giving your best today, or are you waiting for a punch in the face before you’ll change? Don’t wait for the crisis. Be your own fist. Stop looking for a rescuer or the perfect set of circumstances, and start making the decision your future is actually asking of you. Surround yourself with people who tell you the truth — who say, firmly but kindly, that you can do better — instead of people who let you stay comfortable in your story. That kind of honesty is a gift, even when it stings. Every day comes down to one honest question in the mirror: did I give it my best today? That question — did I give it my best today — is really the whole game. It’s a daily practice of choosing your line over someone else’s, one decision at a time. Episode 734 – Daily Discipline of Success: Stop Waiting, Start Deciding Episode 617 – You’ll Always Get What You Need When You Need It Episode 407 – The Power Within YOU’VE LEARNED THE STRATEGIES… SO WHY DOES YOUR REVENUE STILL CONTINUE TO PLATEAU?Here’s what I know about most business owners: They’re working hard, doing the right things, and still hitting the same income ceiling year after year. • The Financial Independence Mindset 20.07.2026 15мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM736_MDM_Jul4_26.mp3   A financial independence mindset doesn’t start with a bank balance. It starts with a decision, made long before the money shows up, about who you’re going to be when things get uncomfortable. I learned that the hard way, and this episode is where I finally tell the whole story. Financial Independence Mindset: Why Borrowing Becomes a Trap In my teenage years and early twenties, I had zero discipline with money. I was forever hitting people up for a few bucks, two here, five there, until I had a mental list of everyone I owed. I’d promise I’ll get you next week, then borrow from someone else just to pay the first person back. Someone once told me the average person is one footstep away from becoming a criminal, and I was furious hearing it. But when they walked me through it, borrow money, pay people late, ignore what you owe, I realized I was that guy. The Founding Fathers and the Space They Gave Us Two hundred and fifty years ago, a group of men risked their lives to separate from the British Crown, committing treason, knowing they’d hang if it didn’t work. What they won for us wasn’t independence itself. It was the space to go build our own. That distinction matters more than most people realize. You can live in the freest country in the world and still be ruled by fear, debt, or somebody else’s opinion of how you should live. Independence has to be claimed by each of us, individually, every day. Financial Independence Mindset: What I Learned Paying Everyone Back Before enlisting in the army, I decided I’d pay every person back first. So I worked three jobs, McDonald’s at five in the morning, a warehouse shift after, then UPS until two the next morning, and I cleared every debt before I shipped out. Something shifted in me permanently that year. I stopped seeing money as something to scramble for and started seeing it as something earned through decisions, not desperation. That’s the real foundation here: you stop borrowing your way out of discomfort and start working your way through it instead. Stepping Into Your Own Independence This Year Your subconscious will always offer the easier road, another loan, another excuse, another reason it isn’t your fault. But the moment you decide I will not be denied my success, everything starts to move. You don’t need to sacrifice the way our founding fathers did. You just need to make their decision on a smaller scale, and keep making it every day. That’s the difference between hoping things get better and actually building the life you say you want. Nobody hands you that shift. You have to choose it, on purpose, over and over, until it becomes who you are. Episode 717 – Stop Letting Others Think for You Episode 646 – The Importance of Personal Power Episode 28 – Uncommon Ground YOU’VE LEARNED THE STRATEGIES… SO WHY DOES YOUR REVENUE STILL CONTINUE TO PLATEAU?Here’s what I know about most business owners: They’re working hard, doing the right things, and still hitting the same income ceiling year after year. • Why Your Expectations Control Your Results 13.07.2026 20мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM735_MDM_May26_26.mp3   Your expectations control your results far more than most people realize, and I learned this firsthand from my mentor, Bob Proctor, during a conversation in a coffee shop that changed the way I look at my entire life. He told me, point blank, that my results showed exactly what I expected — not what I hoped for, not what I said I wanted, but what I genuinely expected at the deepest level. That distinction sat with me for a long time, because once I understood it, I couldn’t unsee it. Everywhere I looked, in my own life and in the lives of people I worked with, results were lining up perfectly with expectation, whether that expectation was spoken out loud or buried beneath the surface. Your Expectations Control Your Results More Than Effort AloneHere’s the part that surprised me. Expectation isn’t just a thought you have once and move on from. It has to flow through into behavior, or it stays a wish list. If you expect to win, you make the extra calls. You talk to the people you run into. You put yourself in rooms where opportunity can find you. But if you don’t expect to win, your mind quietly fills in the gaps with reasons not to act — nobody wants to talk right now, everyone’s busy, it’s not a good time. Before you know it, the week is gone and nothing moved. The behavior was never separate from the expectation. It was the expectation, expressed. Tuning Your Mental Frequency to Match What You WantI often compare this to a radio dial. You set it to a station, and the moment something bumps that dial, the signal gets distorted. Life does this to us constantly through other people’s moods, the news, old arguments that replay in our heads. Our job is to keep adjusting that dial back to the frequency of what we actually want, and that means getting the conscious mind and the unconscious mind into harmony. When they’re fighting each other, you’re working against yourself all day, and that’s exhausting in a way most people don’t even recognize. A Simple Way to See How Your Expectations Are Showing UpIf you want proof of how your expectations control your results, try this for one week. Carry a notepad and write down what your mind drifts to when you’re not focused on anything in particular — in the shower, before bed, waking up. Don’t judge it, just record it. When I did this years ago, I was stunned by how much of my mental space was taken up by replaying old conversations and worrying about things I didn’t want. That’s the loop quietly shaping your expectations, and your results, every single day. Once you can see what’s actually running in the background, you can start changing your environment and your inputs so your mind has something better to react to. That shift alone changes what you expect — and what you expect changes everything that follows. • Daily Discipline of Success: Stop Waiting, Start Deciding 06.07.2026 19мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM734_MDM_May20_26.mp3   Daily discipline of success isn’t about grinding yourself into the ground. It’s about one thing: deciding. What you decide today determines your results tomorrow — not someday, not eventually. Today. That’s the through-line of this episode, and it’s probably the most important thing I can tell you right now. There’s a version of you that wants to get there — that knows what needs to happen, that has all the right tools and information. And there’s another version of you, the old self, that is pulling hard in the opposite direction. That internal battle is the real work. Not the calls, the content, or the sales conversations. Those things aren’t hard. What’s hard is deciding to stop tolerating who you used to be. Daily Discipline of Success: Why Deciding Is the Only Move That MattersI spent years watching brilliant people consume books, videos, and courses and do absolutely nothing with them. Not because the material was bad. Because they were using inspiration as a substitute for action. Motivation is not a starting gun — it’s a focusing tool. The most successful people I’ve worked with don’t wait to feel ready. They use everything they listen to and read to keep their minds sharp while they’re already doing the work. Bob Proctor said it to me more times than I can count: “David, it’s just a decision”. Not a complicated one. Not a perfect one. Just a decision. And once you make it — a real one, not a ‘someday’ one — everything downstream changes. Daily Discipline of Success: The Math Behind One Extra ConversationHere’s something concrete: one extra sales conversation per day adds up to approximately 86 additional sales opportunities in a year. One. That’s not a motivational stat — it’s arithmetic. So the question worth asking yourself isn’t ‘am I working hard enough?’ It’s ‘am I doing the work that actually moves the needle, or am I doing the busy work that feels like working?’ Building a reputation takes time. There’s no shortcut through that. But momentum builds when you keep showing up — when you raise your standard and stop giving your old self the chance to talk you out of it. Give your best where you are right now. Not when you get somewhere better. Now. Because the want that’s waiting for you on the other side of this can only be seen from a higher level of consciousness than where you’re standing today. • Financial Setpoint Series – The Emerging Success Set Point: What Changes When You Start Moving 29.06.2026 24мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM733_FINAL.mp3   The emerging success set point is the one most people never think to name — and that’s precisely why it’s so important. It’s not a stuck pattern. It’s a transitional one. You’re aware of the old programming, you’re actively building new behaviors, and you’re starting to move — but you’re not fully consistent yet. In this final episode of the Financial Setpoint Series, Steph Tuss and I close out the series by mapping exactly what this stage looks like, why it matters, and what it means to finally move through it. If you’re new to this series, start with Episode 729, which introduces the full financial set point framework and the free Psychological Set Point Analyzer. Episodes 730, 731, and 732 cover the scarcity, survival, and striving set points respectively. This episode is the destination those four are pointing toward. Emerging Success Set Point: The Four Signs You’re in TransitionThe emerging success set point shows up in four distinct areas. The first is pricing confidence. You’re quoting your actual price and not immediately apologizing or backing down from it. The discomfort is still there — that doesn’t go away overnight — but you’re taking the correct action regardless of what your emotions are telling you. You’re staying with the number. That moment of sitting quietly after you’ve said your price, and letting the other person respond, is one of the clearest signs that something has shifted. The second is boundaries. When a client asks for something outside your original scope, you’re no longer defaulting to yes. You’re saying things like: I’d be happy to adjust the contract to include that, or that work isn’t part of our agreement, but I can send a proposal. It’s not comfortable. But you’re doing it anyway. That’s the emerging set point in action — courage before comfort, not instead of it. The third is your response to slow periods. Instead of panicking and pivoting everything, you’re stepping back and looking at the data. Is this a cyclical pattern? What actually happened in the last ninety days? You’re choosing trust over reaction — not because the anxiety is gone, but because you’re no longer letting it make your decisions. That’s what Steph and I call entrepreneurial maturity. The fourth is receiving success without sabotage. You have a great month and instead of waiting for the other shoe to drop, you keep your foot on the gas. You’re starting to expect consistency rather than dread its interruption. The voice that says this is too easy or you don’t deserve this is still there — but now you recognize it as the set point talking, not your intuition. Emerging Success Set Point: The Gap Between Here and Full FreedomOne of the most important things Steph said in this episode is that the set points never fully disappear. They’re part of your history, wired into patterns that formed before you had any say in the matter. What changes is the practice of mindfulness that keeps you from being controlled by them. A person can always slip backward with the right set of triggering circumstances — but once you’ve learned to think this way, you can always find your way back. The recovery gets faster. The slips get smaller. The gap between the emerging set point and full success is the gap between awareness and automaticity. You’re still catching yourself. The new patterns haven’t become your default yet. That’s not failure — that’s exactly what transition looks like. The butterfly has to push through the chrysalis itself. If someone opens it for you, the wings never develop the strength to fly. What to Do With This Information NowSteph and I built this series because we’ve watched this same set of patterns keep business owners stuck — not for months, but for years. Strategy is more available now than it has ever been. The problem was never information. It’s the set point running underneath it that determines whether any strategy actually takes hold. If you haven’t taken the free Psychological Set Point Analyzer yet, it’s available at lifeisnowinc.com/setpoint. Five minutes, seven to ten questions, and you’ll know exactly which set point is operating in your business — plus a seven-day plan to begin reprogramming it.We’re also hosting a live Q&A on June 30th at 4PM Eastern to answer your questions about your specific set point and the series. If you’ve already taken the analyzer, watch for your invite.  And if you want to do this work in depth, in person, join Steph and me at The Elite Mind Intensive on August 18th and 19th in Charlotte, North Carolina. Taking Your Business Online YOU’VE LEARNED THE STRATEGIES… SO WHY DOES YOUR REVENUE STILL CONTINUE TO PLATEAU?Here’s what I know about most business owners: They’re working hard, doing the right things, and still hitting the same income ceiling year after year. • Financial Setpoint Series – The Striving Set Point: Why Hard Work Isn’t Enough 25.06.2026 24мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM732_FINAL.mp3   The striving set point is the pattern I see most often in high-performing business owners — and it’s one of the most frustrating to live with, because from the outside it looks like everything is working. You work harder than anyone you know. You implement new strategies and push your team. And you keep hitting the same ceiling. In this episode, Steph Tuss and I break down why effort alone can’t break through a set point, where the striving pattern comes from, and what it actually costs you. This is Part 4 of the Financial Setpoint Series. Episode 729 introduces the full framework and the free Psychological Set Point Analyzer. Episodes 730 and 731 cover the scarcity and survival set points. If you’re new to the series, start there. Striving Set Point: The Belief That Struggle Equals WorthinessAt the core of the striving set point is a belief that most people have never consciously examined: if it isn’t hard, I don’t deserve it. The effort you put in becomes the measure of your self-worth — not the result. Consciously, you hate the struggle. You say you want more time, more freedom, more ease. But your inner operating system has tied those things together so tightly that when something actually becomes easy, it doesn’t feel earned. It feels suspicious. This pattern almost always originates in families where love and security had to be earned through achievement. The straight-A student. The child who held the family together. The one whose role was to be the responsible one, the good one, the one who had it handled. You strived for approval as a kid — and even when you got it, it was never quite enough. So you kept going. And now, decades later, the pattern is still running. The business has just become the new arena. Striving Set Point: Three Ways It Shows Up and What It Costs YouThe first place the striving set point shows up is the income ceiling. You implement a new strategy, see a short burst of growth, and come right back to the same number. You pivot, hire, and add a new offer. The ceiling stays. That’s because the ceiling isn’t about your tactics — it’s about your set point. Until the internal thermostat is reprogrammed, the external results keep resetting. The second is what Steph and I call throwing a hand grenade into the business. When things are actually going well — when the struggle lifts — strivers don’t trust it. If something comes easily, it doesn’t feel real. So they unconsciously create new chaos: a team conflict, a strategic pivot, a major decision that blows up what was working. It feels like control. But it’s the set point protecting its territory. The third is comparisonitis. You watch someone else achieve what looks like comparable results with half your effort, and something in you goes sideways. The resentment builds, then the stress, then the burnout. And through all of it, the income ceiling holds — because the ceiling was never about how hard you worked. It was always about what you believe you deserve. The physical cost of this set point is significant. Steph noted in this episode that strivers tend to accumulate more health issues than any other type — the body simply isn’t built for the level of sustained pressure this pattern demands. Slowing Down Is the Fastest Way ThroughOne of the more counterintuitive insights from this episode is that strivers often need to slow down to move faster. The fly beating itself against the glass window — a metaphor from Price Pritchett’s You² — doesn’t need to work harder. It needs to pull back six inches and see that the door is right there. The answer has been available the whole time. The set point just makes it impossible to see. Awareness is the first step, but as Steph and I have both said throughout this series, awareness alone doesn’t change anything. You need new behaviors. The free Psychological Set Point Analyzer at lifeisnowinc.com/setpoint will identify whether the striving set point is your primary pattern and give you a seven-day plan to begin reprogramming it. For deeper work, Steph and I are hosting The Elite Mind Intensive on August 18th and 19th in Charlotte, North Carolina — two days focused entirely on set point transformation. Details and tickets are at lifeisnowinc.com/clarity. Episode 733, the final episode in this series, covers the Emerging Success Set Point — what it looks like when you’re doing the work and starting to break through. • Financial Setpoint Series – The Survival Set Point: Why You Can’t Say No 22.06.2026 26мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM731_FINAL.mp3   The survival set point is the pattern that has you saying yes when every part of you wants to say no — and it runs on a single, underlying emotion: desperation. In this episode, Steph Tuss and I get into why this set point is so pervasive among entrepreneurs, where it comes from, and what it’s quietly costing you in your health, your business, and your relationships. This is Part 3 of the Financial Setpoint Series. If you’re new to the series, Episode 729 introduces the full framework and includes access to the free Psychological Set Point Analyzer at lifeisnowinc.com/setpoint. Episode 730 covers the scarcity set point. Start there if you want the full picture. Survival Set Point: The Three Places It Shows Up in BusinessThe survival set point shows up most visibly in three areas. The first is client selection. When you’re operating from survival mode, the fear of having nothing is louder than your judgment about whether someone is a good fit. You take the client who gives you bad energy in the discovery call. You work with the team member you know is underperforming because the thought of not finding someone better feels too risky. The underlying belief is the same in both cases: if I say no to this, there might not be anything else. The second is scope creep. When a client pushes a deadline, asks for extra deliverables, or slips requests in outside the original agreement, you feel it in your body first — that tightening, that discomfort. But then your mind goes to work justifying it. They’re a good client. I don’t want them to be upset. I’ll just do it this once. And you cave. Every time. That’s not a communication problem. That’s a survival set point telling you that holding a boundary means losing something you can’t afford to lose. The third is the slow-period panic. When business slows down, the survival set point amplifies into something closer to crisis mode. Desperation and panic run together, and when you’re in panic, you lose the ability to think clearly. You slash prices and pivot to things you don’t actually want to do. You make reactive decisions that feel urgent but aren’t strategic — and the first thing you sacrifice is the clear thinking that would actually solve the problem. Survival Set Point: Where It Starts and Why Entrepreneurs Are Especially VulnerableMost of the business owners Steph and I have worked with over the past 35 years grew up in some form of a chaotic household. That’s not a coincidence. When your sense of safety as a child depended on reading the room, managing unpredictable people, or simply taking care of yourself, your nervous system learns to operate in survival mode as its default. The problem is that when you become an adult and start a business, your subconscious doesn’t automatically update. It keeps running the same programming — except now the stakes feel like payroll and client relationships instead of childhood survival. One of the things Steph pointed out in this conversation is that the survival set point is also a control set point. People who grew up in chaos learned to cope by controlling whatever they could. In business, that shows up as micromanaging your team when money gets tight, over-involvement in every decision, and an inability to delegate — not because you don’t trust your people, but because releasing control feels genuinely dangerous. The cost shows up in your team’s performance, in your health, and eventually in the sustainability of the business itself. The Cost — and the Path OutThe survival set point is one of the most physically taxing of the four types. The constant state of low-grade anxiety, dysregulated cortisol, and fear-based decision-making takes a real toll. Steph and I both see it in clients who are struggling with persistent health issues — fatigue, disrupted sleep, and the kind of chronic stress that accumulates when you never feel safe. The financial cost is equally real. Surviving month to month, using lines of credit to relieve pressure rather than to invest, and making decisions from fear rather than strategy — none of these move the business forward. They just buy another month. The way out is awareness first, then reprogramming. The Psychological Set Point Analyzer at lifeisnowinc.com/setpoint will tell you whether survival is your primary pattern, along with a seven-day plan to start shifting it. Steph and I are also hosting the Elite Mind Intensive on August 18th and 19th — two days focused specifically on set point work at a deeper level. • Financial Setpoint Series – The Scarcity Set Point: Why You Can’t Charge What You’re Worth 18.06.2026 20мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM730_FINAL.mp3   The scarcity set point is one of the most common — and most costly — patterns I see in business owners, and it almost always starts with a belief that was built long before you ever opened your doors. In this episode, Steph Tuss and I go deep on what scarcity actually looks like inside a business, why it keeps you stuck at prices that don’t reflect your value, and what it quietly costs you in ways that go well beyond your bank account. This is Part 2 of our Financial Setpoint Series. If you haven’t listened to Episode 729 yet, I’d encourage you to start there — it lays the foundation for everything we’re covering across all five episodes, including access to the free Psychological Set Point Analyzer at lifeisnowinc.com/setpoint. Scarcity Set Point: Where It Comes From and How It Shows UpAt its core, a scarcity set point is a deeply held belief — formed in childhood — that there simply isn’t enough. It doesn’t always come from poverty. It can come from the language around you: “we can’t afford that,” “money doesn’t grow on trees,” or even the subtle message that people with money are somehow greedy or different from you. Over years of hearing this, your mind builds a framework for how the world works. And once that framework is in place, it governs everything — including how you price your services. In business, the scarcity set point shows up in three predictable ways. First, chronic undercharging — not because you don’t know your prices are low, but because something stops you from raising them. Second, the feast-or-famine cycle — three good months followed by two terrible ones, with no clear explanation for why. Third, and perhaps the most subtle: you start pricing your time rather than the result your work delivers. Your clients aren’t paying for your hours. They’re paying to solve a problem. But if you believe your value is tied to effort rather than outcome, your pricing reflects that. Scarcity Set Point: The Real Cost You’re Not CountingThe cost of operating from a scarcity set point isn’t just financial — though that cost is real and significant. When your prices stay low, you can’t expand. You end up absorbing more of the work yourself. You get overwhelmed, then burned out, and eventually you start resenting the business you built. I’ve had business owners tell me they just want to burn the whole thing down. That feeling almost always traces back to a math problem that was never fixed at the root. But there’s also a relational cost. Overworking to compensate for underearning steals time from family, erodes relationships, and creates exactly the kind of financial stress that, as research consistently shows, is one of the most common relationship-breakers there is. Most people get into business for freedom — the freedom to earn more, to be present with the people they love, to build something on their own terms. The scarcity set point quietly robs you of all of it. Shifting from Or Thinking to And ThinkingOne of the clearest markers of a scarcity mindset is what I call “or thinking” — the belief that you can have this or that, but never both. I can pay myself or pay my team. I can grow my business or spend time with my family. Abundance thinking replaces or with and. That shift sounds simple, but reprogramming a set point that’s been running for decades requires more than awareness. It requires going back to where the belief was formed and systematically rewiring it. If you took the Psychological Set Point Analyzer and landed on the scarcity set point, the seven-day plan it provided is a starting point. Steph and I are also hosting the Elite Mind Intensive in August — two days focused entirely on financial set points, designed to do this deeper work together. You can see those details below. Our next episode covers the Survival Set Point — the pattern behind panic-driven decisions, taking any client who comes along, and the reactive spiral that slow periods tend to trigger. Episode 403 – Produce Your Own Experience Episode 372 – I Choose How I Feel Episode 113 – Cost of Entry YOU’VE LEARNED THE STRATEGIES… SO WHY DOES YOUR REVENUE STILL CONTINUE TO PLATEAU?Here’s what I know about most business owners: They’re working hard, doing the right things, and still hitting the same income ceiling year after year. • Financial Setpoint Series: The Psychological Programming That’s Controlling Your Income 15.06.2026 23мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM729_FINAL.mp3   Your financial set point is running in the background right now — quietly deciding how much you earn, how you price, and whether you follow through when real money is on the table. Most business owners never see it. And that invisibility is exactly what makes it so powerful. I recorded this episode with my longtime colleague Steph Tuss — who has spent the better part of 35 combined years working with small business owners alongside me — because this is the conversation I wish someone had sat me down for early in my career. Between the two of us, we’ve watched the same pattern play out thousands of times. You set a financial goal. You get excited. You work hard. And then, without knowing how it happened, you’re right back where you started. That’s not a discipline problem. That’s a set point doing exactly what it was designed to do. Financial Set Point: What It Is and How It Controls YouThe simplest way I know to explain a financial set point is the thermostat in your house. You set it to 70 degrees. The temperature drifts up. The system detects the gap, kicks on, and brings it right back to 70. Your subconscious mind works the same way — except the temperature it’s managing is your income. When you push above your set point, something in your thinking, your emotions, or your behavior begins to adjust you back. It shows up as undercharging in a sales conversation. As scope creep where you give away more than you’re paid for. As panic during a slow month that drives you into decisions you wouldn’t otherwise make. The three places I see this most clearly are pricing decisions, boundary violations with clients, and the response to slow periods. In each case, the set point isn’t the problem you’re aware of — it’s the thing making the problem feel inevitable. Financial Set Point: The 4 Types and How to Identify YoursAfter decades of this work, Steph and I have identified four distinct financial set point types that show up in business owners: the scarcity set point, the survival set point, the striving set point, and the emerging success set point. Most people are operating from one of these — or a combination — without knowing which one it is. And because you can’t change what you can’t see, awareness is always the first step. The striving set point is the one I lived in for a long time. Work harder, stay on the phone longer, push more. And it hits the same ceiling every time, because more effort isn’t the solution when the program running underneath doesn’t match the goal you’re reaching for. How to Find Out Which Set Point Is Limiting YouThis episode is Part 1 of a 5-part Financial Setpoint Series. The next four episodes go deep into each set point type — what it looks like, how it shows up in your business, and what to do about it. But before you listen to those, I want you to know which one is yours. Steph and I built a free diagnostic tool called the Psychological Set Point Analyzer. It takes about five minutes, asks 7 to 10 questions, and tells you exactly which financial set point is operating in your life right now — along with a seven-day plan to begin reprogramming it. This isn’t awareness for awareness’s sake. You need new behaviors to make real change, and the tool gives you a starting point. Get the free diagnostic at lifeisnowinc.com/setpoint and plan to join us for the next four episodes. Two per week, so you won’t be waiting long. • Success Through Immersion: Why You Can’t Think Your Way There 08.06.2026 22мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM728_MDM_May6_26.mp3   Success through immersion is the principle I keep coming back to — because it’s the one most people resist, and the one that explains nearly every plateau I’ve ever seen. If you’ve been working hard, studying the concepts, doing the mindset work, and still feel like you keep bouncing back to old patterns — this episode is probably why. Success Through Immersion: Why an Hour a Day Won’t Get You ThereI use language learning as the entry point here, because it’s such a clean illustration of the problem. You can study Italian for an hour a day, learn vocabulary, practice pronunciation — and still fall completely apart the moment you’re in a room where nobody speaks English. Not a failure of effort. A failure of immersion. The same dynamic plays out with success. Most people spend an hour in the new mindset and twenty-three hours back in the old environment — surrounded by the same triggers, conversations, and patterns. The mind doesn’t integrate what it only visits. It integrates what it lives in. I know this firsthand. When I left working for someone else and went all-in on my own business, I didn’t ease into it — I dove in completely. Every decision, every response, every moment had to come from a successful place, because there was no other option. That’s what made it permanent. Success Through Immersion: How to Build the Environment That Changes YouChanging your mindset isn’t about trying harder inside the same environment — it’s about changing the environment so that the new thinking becomes the default. Steph Toss is one of the clearest examples I’ve ever seen of what full immersion actually produces. Rather than just taking notes, she traveled, sold, sat in every room, and learned every part of the business — until there wasn’t a single aspect of success she hadn’t lived firsthand. That’s when transformation becomes real and permanent. The same principle applies whether you’re working on your income, your relationships, or your health. Take an honest inventory of what in your life is still wired to the old version of you — the triggers, the habits, the conversations — and stop tolerating it. Success isn’t a thing you do for an hour. It’s a language you speak all the time, until one day you realize you’re no longer translating. You’re just thinking that way. That’s when you know the immersion worked. If you’ve been stuck in the cycle of progress followed by setbacks, this episode is an honest look at why — and what a real path through it looks like. Episode 650 – Immersion is Crucial for Mastery Episode 496 – Insider Secrets for Creating Consistent Cashflow – Part I Episode 384 – Raising the Bar You are successful on paper… but why doesn’t it feel like freedom? In August, I’m bringing together a group of driven entrepreneurs for a 2-day business intensive where we strip away the fear, resistance, and patterns that quietly cap your growth, and get you clear on your next breakthrough.Together, we’ll uncover what’s been holding you back, claim the freedom you’ve been chasing, and walk away with the clarity and courage to lead your business — and your life — on your terms. And because business growth isn’t just about mindset, Steph Tuss is teaching a special marketing session on the latest business-building tactics that are working now. • Hope Is Not a Strategy: How to Thrive Inside the Problem 01.06.2026 11мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM727_MDM_May16_26.mp3   Hope is not a strategy — and I think most people know this somewhere deep down, but they’ve never stopped to examine what it’s actually costing them. In this episode, I use the extraordinary true story of Ernest Shackleton’s 1915 Antarctic expedition to show exactly what it looks like when a leader refuses to let hope become the plan — and what happens instead.Hope Is Not a Strategy: The Lesson Shackleton Already KnewWhen Shackleton’s ship, The Endurance, became locked in Antarctic ice in 1915, there was no rescue coming. No technology. No timeline. What he understood — and what Viktor Frankl later documented in Man’s Search for Meaning — is that people who attach their emotional survival to a hoped-for outcome are the most fragile people in the room. Frankl could identify the prisoners who would die first in the concentration camps. They were the ones who had pinned everything to a specific date — Christmas, a promised release. When that date passed, they fell apart. So did Shackleton’s carpenter, who began to spread dissent among the crew. Shackleton stopped it immediately. He understood that one person’s emotional collapse, if left unchecked, could kill everyone. The lesson isn’t that hope is bad. It’s that hope as your primary psychological strategy is dangerous. It keeps you on the edge of fear — one disappointment away from crashing. Hope Is Not a Strategy — Present-Moment Living IsWhat Shackleton’s crew did instead is something I’ve watched the most successful people I’ve ever coached do in their own lives. They didn’t just survive Antarctica — they lived there. They played football on the ice. They put on theatrical performances. They took care of their sled dogs. They chose to make the experience of being where they were as full and human as possible, while using the goal of getting home as direction — not salvation. I see this same pattern play out for entrepreneurs and business owners every week. When a sale falls through, when the numbers don’t match the picture in your head, when you get a bad review or a rejection — the people relying on hope crash. The people living fully in the moment, with understanding and awareness instead of hope, stay stable. That stability is what keeps your frequency aligned with what you’re building. When your emotions drop, your vibration drops, and you begin attracting more of what you don’t want. What Disappointment Is Really Telling YouDisappointment is a hidden expectation. Every time you feel it, it’s a signal that somewhere underneath, you were relying on a specific outcome to be okay. That’s hope doing its quiet damage. The shift I’m teaching here is from hope to understanding — from ‘I’m surviving until things change’ to ‘I’m fully alive in what is, while moving toward what’s next.’ Your goal gives you direction. But who you become in the journey is the whole point. If you’ve been riding the emotional highs and lows of your business or your life — this episode is the conversation that reorients everything. • Reprogramming Your Mind: How the Law of Polarity Works 25.05.2026 21мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM726_MDM_May5_26.mp3   Reprogramming your mind is not a one-time event — it’s a daily practice, and this episode is about exactly how that practice works. I’ve been doing this work since 1993, and the single most important thing I’ve learned is this: your old programming doesn’t disappear when you install new thinking. It stays in the memory. What changes is how often it gets triggered. And if you understand that, everything about how you do your mindset work shifts. Reprogramming Your Mind: Why the Old Beliefs Don’t Just Go Away I want you to think about something that consumed your world when you were thirteen or fourteen — something that felt enormous at the time. When’s the last time that thought entered your mind? Probably not in years. It’s still in there, buried in your subconscious, but it stopped being relevant. Your environment changed, your life changed, and so the mind stopped reaching for it. That’s the mechanism you’re working with when you’re reprogramming your mind as an adult. The old fears, the old doubts, the old ‘I can’t’ patterns — they don’t get erased. But they do get quieter. The goal is to install new, positive beliefs so consistently that your environment starts triggering those instead. Every time you let your mind sit in doubt, you’re reinforcing the exact thing you’re trying to move away from. Every time you pick up a tool — an audio, an affirmation, a passage you’ve read a hundred times — and use it with intention, you’re doing the real work. Reprogramming Your Mind Through the Law of Polarity The Law of Polarity is the most useful law you can apply every single day, and this is the episode where I explain why. The law states that everything in the universe — physical and non-physical — has an equal and opposite side. They are connected. So when you have a desire, when you feel a need for something in your business or your life, that very awareness is evidence that the fulfillment already exists. Raymond Holliwell put it in a way I’ve never forgotten: no mind can be conscious of a need or desire unless the possibility of its fulfillment already exists. I read that paragraph over and over until it was burned into me. Because it answered the question I kept asking in 1993 — where is it going to come from? His answer: it’s already here. You just can’t see it yet because your perception is locked on what you don’t have. The work is training your mind to look the other direction. Not with wishful thinking, but with a deliberate, consistent expectation. Move forward. Stay in the expectation continuously. The how, the money, the opportunity — they begin to appear because you’ve trained your mind to finally see them. That’s what I’ve done for twenty-seven years in business. Every single time my mind drifted toward doubt, I went back to this. And it has never not worked. Episode 72 – Show Me the Money Episode 355 – David From the Stage: The Law of Polarity Episode 688 – From Old Patterns to New Pathways: How to Reprogram Your Mind for Success HERE’S THE TRUTH:YOUR BUSINESS ISN’T BROKEN. • Why Client Chaos is Killing Your Sales (And How to Stop it) 18.05.2026 22мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM725_MDM_Apr24_26.mp3   Client chaos in sales is something I’ve watched derail more deals, more teams, and more business relationships than almost anything else — and most people never even realize it’s happening. There are patterns playing out in your sales conversations right now that have nothing to do with strategy, pricing, or timing. And until you see them clearly, no tactic is going to fix them. Client Chaos in Sales: Why You Keep Getting Pulled Into the Drama Here’s the dynamic I see constantly: a prospect throws chaos at you — competing priorities, sudden emergencies, a dozen reasons why this moment isn’t right. And the natural response is to meet them there. To empathize, validate, and start problem-solving the drama instead of the actual decision. What most people don’t realize is that this is exactly what the other person’s subconscious is pulling for — not out of malice, but because it’s the only world they know how to operate in. A lot of us were raised in chaotic environments. We adapted to it, and that adaptation became our baseline. So when chaos enters a sales conversation, something familiar activates — and we step right in. Client Chaos in Sales: The Mindset Shift That Keeps You in the Problem-Solver’s Chair The way through is deceptively simple. You acknowledge the problem — just enough to show you heard it — and then you offer a clear path forward. You don’t step into their world. You open a door to a calmer one. The internal shift that makes this possible is learning to ask ‘how do I solve this?’ instead of ‘how do I respond to this?’ That single reorientation changes what you say, how you lead, and what you close. And it starts well before the sales conversation begins. • Money Paradigms and Fear: Why You Avoid Your Own Bills 11.05.2026 25мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM724_MDM_Apr14_26.mp3   Money paradigms and fear are behind one of the most common financial mistakes I see — and it’s not what most people expect. It’s not overspending, it’s not a lack of income, and it’s not even laziness. Avoidance is the real culprit. Specifically, the quiet, persistent habit of not looking at the bills, not reconciling the accounts, not facing the real numbers. I did this myself, and it almost cost me everything. Money Paradigms and Fear: Why You Focus on Income and Ignore the RestHere’s what I’ve seen happen over and over again. People latch on to the idea of earning more — and that’s exciting — but they’re completely ignoring what’s happening behind the scenes. All the bills, the commitments, the debt quietly stacking up. Carelessness isn’t the reason. Fear is. Looking at your financial obligations triggers that old belief that there’s not enough. So the mind clings to the hope of more income rather than sitting with the discomfort of real numbers. That fear-driven energy doesn’t disappear just because you’re not looking at it. Whatever you’re afraid of gets shoved under the rug, and eventually it surfaces — usually at the worst possible moment. I learned this the hard way. My tax bill had been growing for months while I looked the other way, and eventually the IRS showed up at my door. Money Paradigms and Fear: How I Faced the Numbers and Changed EverythingWhat changed my financial life wasn’t a strategy — it was a decision to stop being afraid. So I sat down with a paper ledger, a pencil, and a calculator. I committed to touching every bill for a full year. No assistant, no automation — just me and the real numbers. Not to cut expenses, but to build a genuine relationship with my money until the fear stopped running the show. Here’s what I discovered: once you know your real monthly number, your mind stops operating on magical thinking and starts operating on math. That shift alone is a completely different kind of energy. Instead of asking how to go from $10,000 to $12,000 a month, I started asking how to get to $100,000. Because the effort required is essentially the same. What changes is what your paradigm is willing to believe. What Financial Freedom Actually Feels LikeThere is no real freedom when something is gnawing at you in the background. You can work hard, build momentum, make sales — and still feel that quiet weight of unresolved financial fear. More income alone won’t fix it. What actually creates freedom is a clean relationship with the money you have, the money you owe, and the money you’re building toward. Once both sides are accounted for and nothing is hidden, the energy you’ve been spending on avoidance becomes available for growth. Ultimately, that’s what I want for you — not just more money, but genuine peace. If this one landed, share it with someone who needs to hear it. Episode 276 – Change Your Money Mindset Episode 354 – The Law of Cause & Effect Episode 546 -The Sly Disguises of Fear HERE’S THE TRUTH:YOUR BUSINESS ISN’T BROKEN. • Breaking Generational Patterns: Why You Can’t Keep Your Word 04.05.2026 19мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM723_MDM_Apr3_26.mp3   Breaking generational patterns is probably the most important conversation I’ve had on this podcast in months — and it starts with a question I want you to sit with: is there an area of your life where no matter what you do, no matter how many times you recommit, you still can’t seem to follow through? Most people assume that’s a discipline problem. I want to tell you today why it almost certainly isn’t. Breaking Generational Patterns: The Mountain That Lives Inside YouI use a simple metaphor in this episode that I want you to hold onto. There’s a mountain. You set out toward what you want, you push, you climb, and somewhere along the way — you stop. Not because you’re lazy. Not because you don’t want it. But because something inside your subconscious is quietly saying no. And here’s the part most people miss: that ‘something’ may not even be yours. It was handed to you — through your family lineage, from one generation to the next — before you were old enough to know what was happening. The Hopi Indians understood this. They taught that when one person changes something in their life, that change ripples seven generations forward and seven generations backward. You don’t just change your own life — you set free the souls of the people who came before you who couldn’t do it in their lifetime. That’s not a metaphor. Carl Jung spent decades mapping how this actually works inside the human psyche. Breaking Generational Patterns: What Unconscious Agreements Are Really Costing YouI call what’s happening in these stubborn areas ‘unconscious agreements.’ You made an agreement — without knowing it — that you would carry a pattern. A fear. A limitation. A survival mechanism that once kept someone in your lineage safe. Maybe it was a ‘don’t be seen’ pattern, because somewhere in your family’s history, being seen was genuinely dangerous. Maybe it shows up as guilt that has no clear origin, or grief that doesn’t seem to belong to your own story, or the relentless pull to stay small. I remember having four separate conversations with my mother before she passed — asking her if there was something she wasn’t telling me. Each time she said no. She wasn’t hiding anything. She was carrying the same thing and didn’t know it either. How to Know If This Is What’s Blocking YouHere’s the honest test: when something becomes almost impossible to shift — when you’ve worked on it, recommitted to it, and still can’t get traction — that’s not weakness. That’s protection. You’re protecting something that feels bigger than you. In this episode, I walk through exactly how to recognize these patterns, what they’re protecting, and why letting them go requires a different kind of conversation than most personal development work offers. I also reference a specific Carl Jung video in this episode that I recommend watching at least five times. Each time you watch it, you will hear something new. Because the mind tends to resist the things it most needs to absorb. If certain areas of your life have stubbornly refused to shift no matter what you’ve tried — this is probably why. And this episode is where we start to change that. Subscribe to The Successful Mind Podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or at successfulmindpodcast.com so you never miss an episode. Because the truth is, nothing shifts until you do. Most people were raised to play it safe. To wait. To calculate. To make sure everything lines up before they move. But that way of thinking keeps you locked into the same results, over and over again. It’s not about what you know—it’s about who you are being when it’s time to act. Becoming the person requires action, not thoughtYou can read the books. You can listen to the podcast. You can visualize what you want. But if you don’t become the person who executes when it matters, nothing changes. The real shift happens at the point of decision—when fear shows up and you move anyway. That’s where most people back off. They hesitate, justify, and retreat to what feels safe. And in that moment, they undo all the work they’ve been doing internally. Become the person who follows through no matter whatThere’s a standard you have to set for yourself. A line you refuse to cross backwards. When you become the person who follows through—who makes the call, closes the gap, and does what’s required—you start to see a different reality show up. Not because it’s random. But because you’re no longer waiting for life to change—you’re causing it. • Taking Back Your Power Starts With This Decision 20.04.2026 18мин
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM721_MDM_Mar11_26.mp3   Taking back your power isn’t something that happens once—it’s something you either practice daily or slowly give away without realizing it. Most people don’t lose their power in big moments. They lose it in the small ones. The reactions, the fear, the anger, the hesitation. And over time, those moments start to shape your entire reality. Taking Back Your Power Means Choosing Your DirectionWhen you start making decisions based on what’s in front of you instead of where you’re going, you begin to drift. It feels subtle at first. A little fear here. A little doubt there. But every time you react instead of choose, you move further away from the life you actually want. The truth is, fear will strip your power. Anger will strip your power. Even hurt will take it if you let it. In those moments, you’re no longer directing your life—you’re responding to it. Taking Back Your Power Requires Awareness of ReactionMost people don’t realize how often they’re reacting instead of choosing. That reaction comes from old patterns, past conditioning, and subconscious programming that’s running automatically. And when you operate from that place, you’re not in control. You’re being controlled. But the moment you stop and recognize what’s happening, something shifts. You don’t have to eliminate the problem—you just have to stop giving it authority over you. Taking Back Your Power Is a Daily DecisionThere’s no middle ground here. You’re either moving forward or you’re not. You’re either making decisions from certainty or from fear. And the shift is simple, but not always easy: decide that no matter what shows up, you’re moving forward anyway. Because when you do that, you’re no longer reacting to life—you’re creating it.
