  • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Outgunned At Ibrox | How Will Celtic Respond? 14.09.2026 1h 5min
Celtic’s perfect domestic start came crashing to an end at Ibrox with a damaging 3-0 defeat to Rangers - but the manner of the loss was every bit as concerning as the scoreline. Tino, James, Paddy and Mif were in the studio to discuss a performance where Celtic were outfought, outthought and offered almost nothing going forward. Was this simply one terrible afternoon or - following the collapse against LASK - is a bigger pattern starting to emerge when this team is put under serious pressure? We also look at Celtic’s midfield balance, the lack of a genuine defensive presence, and what Martin O’Neill now needs to change as his side prepare for a huge week that could tell us plenty about how this team responds to adversity. 🎙️ Catch all of the above and more in the latest Celtic Exchange Weekly ________________ 🍀 Get more from The Celtic Exchange EVERY SINGLE DAY on our Patreon Channel. 🔗 https://patreon.com/celticexchange Learn more about your ad choices. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Are Celtic Now Stronger Than Last Season? | O'Neill's Frightening Frontline 07.09.2026 1h 7min
There’s plenty to get stuck into on this week’s Celtic Exchange Weekly as the dust settles on the summer window and attention turns firmly to what this new-look Celtic side might be capable of. With the squad now assembled, we ask the big question: are Celtic now stronger than the team that won the Double last season? There’s certainly more attacking depth, more variety and plenty of competition for places - and with four big games coming up across the next couple of weeks, this could be the spell that really launches the season. We take a closer look at Celtic’s exciting forward options, the combinations Martin O’Neill now has at his disposal, and just how high the ceiling might be for this group if everything starts to click. There’s also time to say a proper goodbye to Reo Hatate, reflecting on some brilliant memories from his time in the Hoops and the impact he made during a hugely successful spell at the club. And finally, there’s a birthday to celebrate! Mif celebrates the 26th anniversary of his 21st, so naturally we mark the occasion in the only way we know how - with a bit of Celtic chat, a few laughs and a Wiggles The Caterpillar Cake! 🙌🐛🎂 _______________________ 🍀 For more Celtic Exchange throughout the week - and news of the launch of our upcoming 'Your Celtic Story' offering - join us on Patreon 👇 🔗 https://patreon.com/celticexchange Learn more about your ad choices. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Champions League Loading…⏳ Will Celtic Get The Job Done? 24.08.2026 57min
Celtic have one foot back in the Champions League proper - but there’s still a job to finish. Tino, James and Conor look back on the huge 3-0 win over LASK at Celtic Park and ask whether Celtic should now be completely confident of seeing the tie through in Austria. With Alistair Johnston ruled out, Auston Trusty a doubt and a place in the Champions League on the line, will O’Neill stick with the side that did the damage at Celtic Park - and just how important could that first goal be? The boys also discuss Colby Donovan after a massive night for the young full-back, while Viljami Sinisalo’s growing influence - and his claim to the No.1 shirt - comes under the spotlight. Elsewhere, we look at Reo Hatate’s Celtic future and the midfield options Martin O’Neill could still add before the transfer window closes. With several names continuing to be linked, just how much business could Celtic realistically have left to do? 🎙️ Join Tino, James & Conor as they cover all of the above and more on the latest Celtic Exchange Weekly. __________________________ 🎬 Watch Episode One of At The End Of A Storm FREE on YouTube    • At The End Of A Storm | Episode One - The ...   🔒 Episode Two & Three are available now exclusively on Patreon: https://thecelticexchange.com/patreon 🛞 Visit Cameron Commercials for all your commercial vehicle sales & hire needs https://cameroncommercials.com/ Learn more about your ad choices. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Champions League Crunch Time | Are Celtic Ready For LASK? 17.08.2026 1h 1min
Celtic are just three games into the new season - but already the biggest test of the campaign is upon us. Austrian champions LASK arrive at Celtic Park on Wednesday night for the first leg of our Champions League play-off, and the big question is simple: are Celtic ready - or are we gambling once again? With Arne Engels now a West Ham player, gaps still remaining in the squad and several new signings only just through the door, Tino, James and Paddy assess where Celtic stand ahead of a massive European night. We look at the threat posed by an in-form LASK side, debate whether Celtic have enough firepower to take control of the tie at home, and ask whether Mika Baur could be thrown straight into the starting XI. Elsewhere, Benji Nygren's flying start comes under the spotlight after 3 goals and 3 assists in his opening 3 games, while we discuss the uncertain futures of others such as Reo Hatate and Tony Ralston following a summer of major squad turnover. 🎙️ It's a huge week for Celtic - and we cover it all in this latest Celtic Exchange Weekly. __________________________ 🎬 Watch Episode One of At The End Of A Storm FREE on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7SSOFvY7sU 🔒 Episode Two & Three are available now exclusively on Patreon: https://thecelticexchange.com/patreon 🛞 Visit Cameron Commercials for all your commercial vehicale sales & hire needs https://cameroncommercials.com/ 🍀 And as always let us know your thoughts on this episode in the comments. • George Connolly: Beyond ‘What Might Have Been’ | Filmmaker Ged Fitzsimmons On Celtic's Lost Legend 13.08.2026 1h 9min
George Connolly remains one of the most fascinating figures in Celtic’s history. A hugely gifted footballer who won seven league titles, three Scottish Cups and two League Cups, made 254 appearances for Celtic and famously scored against Leeds United in the 1970 European Cup semi-final. Yet for decades, his story has so often been framed around phrases like “what might have been”, “wasted talent” and “if only…” Filmmaker Ged Fitzsimmons wants to change that. In this special episode of The Celtic Exchange, Ged joins Tino to discuss his forthcoming documentary 'George Connolly: Far From The Madding Crowd' and why George’s story deserves to be told properly. We explore his extraordinary Celtic career, his relationship with Jock Stein, his part in the Quality Street Gang and the circumstances surrounding his eventual departure from the club. But this is about far more than football. It’s also a story about mental health in the 1970s, men in crisis, the impact on their families and why those themes have made this such a personal project for Ged. With the film now edging closer to completion, Ged also explains the challenges still facing the project, George’s own feelings about seeing his story brought to the big screen and how Celtic supporters can help get it over the line. The story of a remarkable Celtic player - and, more importantly, the man behind the footballer. ========================== 🍀 See how you can play your part in the George Connolly Project here: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/george-connelly-celtic-film Learn more about your ad choices. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: The Høgh Hype Is Real | Celtic’s New No.9 Is A Game Changer 10.08.2026 1h 2min
It’s been quite the start to life at Celtic for Kasper Høgh. Two games into his Celtic career and our new No.9 has already bagged a hat-trick, making an immediate impact on the side and showing that he means business in Glasgow.   Nobody’s getting carried away just yet, obviously… although 40 goals this season and a place alongside Jimmy McGrory as one of our greatest every strikers now seem absolutely inevitable.   In this latest Celtic Exchange Weekly we discuss:   🍀 THE KASPER HØGH EFFECT   What has Celtic’s new striker brought to Martin O’Neill’s side, what made the difference for him at Rugby Park, and could the arrival of genuine width make him even more dangerous?   ⚽ CELTIC HIT FIVE AT KILMARNOCK   Høgh grabbed the headlines, but there was plenty more to like about Celtic’s performance. Benjamin Nygren continued his impressive start, Arne Engels produced one of his strongest displays in green and white, and the champions suddenly look to have rediscovered their attacking threat.   🔄 TRANSFERS, SQUAD GAPS & CELTIC’S COMMUNICATION   With Camilo Duran and Høgh still the only two major summer arrivals, Celtic apparently hope to add another three or four players ahead of the upcoming LASK tie. We discuss where the squad still needs strengthened, the latest on Haissam Hassan, as well as the club’s reported investment in data analytics. Plus - why Celtic could be doing far more to communicate positive developments with supporters and fan media.   ⚽️ LEAGUE CUP SQUAD ROTATION?   Finally, with Dundee United awaiting at Tannadice in the League Cup this weekend, we finish by looking ahead to who should get their opportunity in that one – or should the management team resist the temptation to make changes and look to maintain our early season momentum.   🎙️ Tune in to the latest Celtic Exchange Weekly as Tino, Asim & Brydo get stuck into all the big talking points from another busy week at Celtic. • Three Points & Two Debuts - But Opening Night Exposes Celtic's Transfer Priorities 04.08.2026 46min
Celtic opened the new Scottish Premiership campaign with a 1-0 win over Dundee on Flag Night at Celtic Park - but did the performance match the occasion? Tino and Conor break down the result, the overall display and the competitive debuts of new arrivals Camilo Duran and Kasper Høgh. They also discuss: 🍀 What the opening game told us about Martin O’Neill’s New (ish) Look Celtic 🔑 The key areas that still need improving 💰 Celtic’s latest transfer speculation, both in and out Three points are on the board, but with that vital Champions League playoff agaisnt LASk fast approaching, we can all agree that there's still plenty of work to be done to get this squad even close to where it should be. __________________________ 🎬 Watch Episode One of At The End Of A Storm FREE on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7SSOFvY7sU 🔒 Episode Two – The Gamble is available now exclusively on Patreon: https://patreon.com/celticexchange 🍀 And as always let us know your thoughts in the comments. With just seven days until Flag Day, the panel look ahead to the start of the new campaign as Celtic close in on what looks set to be a club-record deal for Danish frontman Kasper Hogh. The trip also provided the perfect opportunity to visit the Manhattan CSC at Ernie O'Malley's, where Club President Stevie Wright joined the lads on stage for a special live recording to discuss the latest happenings - or lack thereof - at Celtic Park. A huge thanks to Stevie, the staff and all the members for the warm welcome. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Where's Celtic's Summer Heading - And Will Callum McGregor Be A Part Of It? 13.07.2026 55min
Celtic's summer has finally started to move... but has it moved anywhere near enough? This week on the Celtic Exchange Weekly, we discuss the official arrival of Camilo Duran, the growing speculation surrounding Callum McGregor's surprise change of agent, and whether Celtic's communication with supporters is creating more uncertainty than reassurance. We also take a look at the appointment of new set-piece coach Ross Grant, ask whether this signals genuine modernisation behind the scenes, and debate whether lessons have really been learned from last summer's transfer window. This week's talking points include: 🇨🇴 Camilo Duran officially joins Celtic – what can supporters expect? 🅲 Martin O'Neill's response to the McGregor speculation. ⚽️ Ross Grant's set-piece goals. 🍀 Why supporters still want to hear more from the club's leadership. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Is This Thing On? Celtic's Summer Threatens To Get Started 06.07.2026 49min
It's been a relatively slow start to the summer for Celtic world, but there are finally signs that things may be starting to move. If the latest reports are accurate, we could be on the verge of completing the first two signings of the summer, with striker Camilo Duran and midfielder Alfie Devine both heavily linked with moves to Glasgow. Should those deals get over the line, they'd represent a welcome step forward after what's been a frustratingly sluggish transfer window so far. Those arrivals would come hot on the heels of the re-signing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - a move that's divided opinion among the support - as Martin O'Neill continues shaping his squad ahead of the new campaign. Elsewhere, Ange Postecoglou has followed a path now well worn by former Celtic managers, as he takes charge of Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. His Celtic successor is the one that paved the way and its bizarre to think that two will soon lock horns over there in league action. While few could question the financial appeal of the opportunity, many supporters have been left somewhat saddened by the decision, of a man who professed to be all about the fooitball. Mif is very much one of those supporters 😢 We also round up the latest from the World Cup, where Auston Trusty is now Celtic's sole remaining representative as the tournament heads into its final couple of weeks. 🎙️ Join Tino, Mif & James as they discuss all of that and plenty more in this latest episode of Celtic Exchange Weekly. =================== 🎥 Join us at the Official Premiere of 'At The End Of A Storm' on Thu 23rd July 🎟️ Tickets on sale to our Patreon Members exclusively on Tue 7th July at 12noon 🔗 https://patreon.com/celticexchange Learn more about your ad choices. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: Signs Of Life - Is Celtic's Plan Finally Starting To Reveal Itself? 29.06.2026 1h 2min
Over the past few days Celtic have taken some small but encouraging steps that suggest there is a plan for the season ahead after all! On Saturday we heard from Martin O'Neill for the first time since his appointment as permanent manager was officially confirmed, before Sunday's announcement that former Hearts coach Ross Grant had joined the club as Celtic's first-ever dedicated set-piece coach. Neither update is groundbreaking in isolation, but both point towards progress. And with several new faces still needed before the campaign gets underway, fans will be hoping these developments are just the beginning of a much busier few weeks. Elsewhere, the World Cup heads into the knockout stages with four of Celtic's eight representatives now on their way home. We assess who enhanced their reputation on football's biggest stage, and who could now return to Glasgow with their stock considerably higher as a result. Closer to home, Celtic's first pre-season friendly is now just over a week away, with Shelbourne awaiting in Dublin on 7th July. After that, the countdown to competitive football gathers pace, with just 35 days remaining until the new season begins. The countdown is most definitely on! 🎙️ Join Tino, James and Paddy as they discuss all of that and much more in the latest episode of Celtic Exchange Weekly. ================= 00:00 Opening Comments - Celtic Exchange Weekly 02:24 What Will Ross Grant Bring To Celtic's Coaching Team? 09:02 Is New Appointment A Step In The Right Direction For Celtic? 12:38 Martin O'Neill Interview - Will We See A Change In Formation? 18:59 O'Neill Issues "Wake Up Call" Warning To Celtic Board 22:10 Where Are Confident Levels Ahead Of The New Season 26:29 The Value Of A Full Pre-Season 28:48 What Does Success Look Like For Celtic in 2025/26? 36:32 Where Does Cameron Carter-Vickers Fit Next Season? 40:17 Will We See Any Unexpected Exits This Summer? 44:25 World Cup Celts - The Round-Up 49:27 Who Will Replace Steve Clarke As Celtic Manager? 55:44 Closing Comments - Celtic Exchange Weekly ============ 📩 Join thousands of Celtic supporters receiving our free weekly newsletter "Celtic 3-2-1" every Friday 👉 https://thecelticexchange.com/newsletter 🍀 And if you want even more Celtic from us, every single day, then check out our Patreon Channel at 👉 https://thecelticexchange.com/patreon Learn more about your ad choices. The summer transfer window is open, the rumour mill is in overdrive, and yet Celtic supporters are still waiting for some concrete signs of what the season ahead might look like. While the focus is often on who could be arriving at Celtic Park, the reality is that interest in our biggest stars is never far away. Daizen Maeda and Arne Engels continue to attract attention, but following a series of impressive World Cup performances for Canada, could Alistair Johnston now be the next name attracting interest from further afield? Elsewhere, we check in on all eight Celtic players currently representing their countries at the 2026 World Cup, assessing how they've fared so far and what lies ahead as the tournament begins to gather pace. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: All Quiet For Now As Celtic Head Into Biggest Summer In Years 15.06.2026 56min
It's been 23 days since Celtic completed a remarkable League and Scottish Cup Double at Hampden, but despite what will surely be a hugely important summer, things have remained relatively quiet in the weeks since. That may soon change. With Martin O'Neill now preparing for a full season in charge, attention will turn to the make-up of his backroom team, the challenge of defending Celtic's domestic crown, and his hopes of leading us in to Europe's top tournament once again. The summer transfer window officially opened today (15 June) and with several departures expected it should (should!) be a busy few months ahead. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: The Sound Of Silence | Will O'Neill Get The Deal? 01.06.2026 59min
The season may be over, but Celtic's work is only just beginning. Or at least it should be... While the players enjoy a well-earned break, there are major decisions to be made behind the scenes - and, so far, there's been little sign of movement. It's still early in the summer of course, but securing a manager for the season ahead - whether that's Martin O'Neill or someone else - has to be the club's top priority. The longer that uncertainty drags on, the more restless the support becomes. Beyond the dugout, expectations are growing that the coming weeks will bring significant changes to the playing squad, alongside potential developments in the boardroom. All signs point to a pivotal summer at Celtic Park. Elsewhere, no fewer than eight Celts are preparing for the World Cup, which gets underway in just a matter of days. We'll be watching closely - although whether all of them return as Celtic players remains an open question. 🎙️ Join Tino, Paddy, James and Mif as they tackle all of the above and much more in the latest edition of the Celtic Exchange Weekly. 00:00 Celtic Exchange Weekly - Opening Comments 03:37 We Want Your Footage From Our End Of Season Special 04:45 26 Years To The Day Since Martin O'Neill First Arrived At Celtic 06:59 Is It Now Martin O'Neill v Robbie Keane For The Celtic Manager's Job?23:10 Where Are Celtic Heading As A Club? 35:35 A New Project About An Enigmatic Celtic Legend 36:51 Celtic At The World Cup 43:26 Celtic FC Woman Lift The Scottish Cup in Glasgow Derby At Hampden 46:12 What Are Your Hopes For Celtic Right Now? 49:05 Closing Comments On Celtic Exchange Weekly =============== 🎥 If you have ANY footage of the season past that may be suitable for our end of season project then please send to [email protected] 🍀 We're keeping it going right throughout summer on our Patreon Channel - check it all out at https://thecelticexchange.com/patreon Learn more about your ad choices. • Win, Lose Or Draw: The First Ever Celtic History Conference 30.05.2026 1h 6min
Celtic are a club renowned for breaking new ground, and this summer looks set to bring another first with what is believed to be the first-ever football history conference dedicated to a single club. Many have helped preserve and share Celtic's remarkable story over the years, but few have contributed more in recent times than Pat Woods, Tom Campbell and David Potter - three figures whose work has been a major inspiration behind the creation of this event. Ahead of the conference, which takes place at Celtic Park on Saturday 6th June, we sat down with Celtic author Matthew Marr and acclaimed documentary filmmaker Margot McCuaig - whose credits include films on Jock Stein, Tommy Burns and Jimmy Johnstone - to discuss their involvement in what promises to be a unique occasion. Both will feature among a distinguished line-up of guest speakers on the day. In this wide-ranging conversation, we explore the importance of preserving Celtic's rich history, the challenges of passing that story on to future generations, and the role emerging technologies such as AI may play in shaping how that history is remembered and recorded. • Celtic Exchange Weekly: The Spirit Of 2026 | Martin O'Neill's Celtic Are Champions Of Scotland 18.05.2026 1h 5min
It’s a day that, not so long ago, felt like it might slip away. But when it mattered most, this Celtic side found something extra - dug deep, stood tall - and now stand once again as Champions of Scotland. This has been a title built on resilience. On big moments from big characters. From Martin O'Neill driving standards, to Callum McGregor leading by example, to Daizen Maeda delivering when it counted most - and various others stepping up along the way. Every one of them, in some way, has played their part. The supporters too, deserve enormous credit. They’ve ridden every twist of a demanding season, stuck with the team through the ups and downs, and helped carry them to the finish line. Together, Celtic got the job done - and made it five league titles in a row. Now as the celebrations begin, the focus inevitably turns. What comes next for this team? What’s next for Martin O’Neill? And perhaps most intriguingly of all - where does this title rank among Celtic’s greatest title triumphs? 🎙️ We get into all of that and more in this special Champions Edition of the Celtic Exchange Weekly.
