  • Bees Draw In Bournemouth Despite Lacklustre Performance 🍒 14.09.2026 40min
On this week’s episode, Mike, Craig and Callum are back to reflect on the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on the south coast. Kevin Schade opened the scoring with his customary goal against the Cherries, but Keith Andrews’ side were pegged back by Justin Kluivert’s finish just before half-time. The hosts then took the lead through Marcus Tavernier, but ANOTHER Schade goal meant the points were shared. We chat about Dango Ouattara’s substitute performance against his former club, why we were so sloppy in possession at points, and Reading and Chelsea up next in cup and league. • Points Shared With Sunderland Amid Refereeing Controversy 😒 07.09.2026 47min
On this week’s episode, Mike, Craig and CALLUM - yeah, that’s right - reflect on the 1-1 draw against Sunderland at the Gtech on Saturday. All of us were confident heading into this one, so the first half onslaught from Regis Le Bris’ side brought us all back down to earth very quickly. A disallowed goal, coupled with numerous chances for the visitors had us all thinking the same thing: “how the hell are we going into half-time at 0-0?” And when Vitaly Janelt opened the scoring in the second half for his second goal of the campaign, it looked as though we’d snatch all three points. But, despite a much-improved second half, Sunderland ensured they’d leave West London with a share of the tally. We chat about some contentious refereeing decisions, the form of Mikkel Damsgaard, Jannick Schuster’s impromptu Premier League debut, and a trip to Bournemouth up next… Follow us on X: https://x.com/TheEalingRoad Follow us on Insta: https://www.instagram.com/ealingroadpod/ Subscribe to Mike's channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDpHRfEbmB0m9W5jOP4ReTQ Learn more about your ad choices. Ross from the WTF Sunderland Podcast joins Craig ahead of Brentford's challenge against Regis Le Bris' side at the Gtech on Saturday. Sunderland secured European football on the final day of last season at Brentford's expense, in what was a truly remarkable first season back in the Premier League. Trips to AC Milan and AZ Alkmaar await in what could prove to be another special campaign. Ross chats about Sunderland's summer business, including Kevin Danso and Malick Fofana, how the Black Cats have fared in their opening games, and last season's last gasp winner for the home side at the Stadium of Light. • Points Shared With Leeds At Elland Road 🤝 01.09.2026 33min
On this week's episode, Craig and Dan dissect the 1-1 draw at Elland Road against Leeds United. The Brentford fans that made the trip up to West Yorkshire were treated to a first half that saw Keith Andrews side completely dominate Leeds from minute one. While big chances were few and far between, Kevin Schade's excellent flick before half-time put The Bees in a strong position. But the second half was almost the complete opposite, with Leeds piling on the pressure - pressure which eventually told when Dominic Calvert-Lewin tucked away an equaliser... We chat about *that* penalty incident, the Sangare x Janelt pivot, and Sunderland up next at the Gtech. • Six Past Birmingham In The Cup With Leeds Up Next ft. Beren Cross ✍️ 27.08.2026 45min
On this week's episode, Mike and Dan call an impromptu podcast to reflect on the 6-1 thrashing of Birmingham City at St. Andrews, and Mike chats to The Athletic's Beren Cross ahead of Brentford's trip to Leeds on Sunday. A second strength team travelled to St. Andrews for the second round Carabao Cup fixture against former regular opposition in Birmingham, but it mattered not. Keith Andrews side hammered the Blues 6-1, with Nathan Collins bagging a brace, and Jaidon Anthony shining. Up next, The Bees make the trip to Elland Road for what hopefully is not another Keith Andrews v Daniel Farke classic. Beren spoke to Leeds' brilliant start to the season, their summer transfers (including Harry Wilson), and how the game might go on Sunday. Dan and Mike also talked Ethan Pinnock after his Coventry departure was confirmed, and we address the El Hadji Malick Diouf 'HERE WE GO'... On this week's episode, Mike, Craig and Dan reflect on a resounding opening day victory, as Brentford run out 3-0 winners against Spurs at the Gtech. An early goal from Keane Lewis-Potter set the tone in what was a dominant first half, with club record signing Mamadou Sangare running proceedings from minute one. Vitaly Janelt added a second as half-time approached, and Michael Kayode completing the whitewash in the second half. We chat about the quality of our new star in midfield, Ethan Pinnock's imminent departure for Coventry City, and the upcoming games against Birmingham City in the Carabao Cup, and Leeds at Elland Road... Roberto De Zerbi's first full season in charge of Spurs promises a lot, with the new big money signings of Sandro Tonali, Matheus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke adding to the positive vibes around North London... which have been rare in recent times. • Final Day Defeat Confirms End Of European Dream 😩 28.05.2026 1h 19min
On this week’s episode, Mike, Dan and Craig reflect on final day disappointment, as our European dream comes to end at Anfield following a 1-1 draw with Liverpool. Just not to be on the final day for Keith Andrews’ Bees, despite an impressive second half performance, and despite other results going our way. Kevin Schade’s equaliser, and a last-gasp header from Dango Ouattara left those inside Anfield dreaming of what could’ve been. We chat about falling just short on the final day, Jordan Henderson’s prolonged substitution, the upcoming summer transfer window, and our End of Season Awards. • Defeat At Man City Amid Refereeing Controversy 🧐 11.05.2026 50min
On this week’s episode, Mike, Craig and Dan look back on the 3-0 defeat away at Manchester City. Once again, Brentford rued missed chances away from home, and, on another day, could’ve been on the right side of refereeing decisions, but goals from Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush meant the Bees left Manchester pointless. We discuss the contentious decisions from the game, Mikkel Damsgaard’s impact this season, and the European picture after wins for both Brighton and Bournemouth at the weekend. • Bees Rue Missed Chances In Defeat Against Manchester United 🙄 28.04.2026 1h 3min
On this week’s episode, Mike, Craig and Dan reflect on the 2-1 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Brentford came out of an early first half onslaught only trailing by one goal, and spurned several guild-edge chances in response, before the hosts doubled their advantage just before half-time. Mathias Jensen’s late second half worldie was but a consolation, as Keith Andrews’ side extended their winless run to seven in all competitions. We chat about Igor Thiago’s plethora of wasted opportunities, Josh Da Silva’s return to the matchday squad after 816 days out, and look ahead to a must-win at Gtech against West Ham coming up next. But, in keeping with recent West London derbies, the occasion fell flat, and to a 0-0 draw. We chat about out most frustrating results of the season, why the game lacked the necessary bite, and how our European hopes look in light of the result.
