This month, Raidaa is joined by Nick Lewis, director and music programmer at Blue Note, for a special conversation ahead of the grand opening of Blue Note Jazz Club. Expect conversation around the culture, the music and the spaces that continue to connect jazz, hip-hop and the wider contemporary landscape, alongside Raidaa’s signature selection-led approach.

  Easing us into the Wednesday feeling is our monthly Bin Day collection, presented by beb, selector, wax collector and certified digger. For the first hour, beb opens up the record bag and takes us through some of the discoveries picked up during recent travels, with nods to record shops including @sono.ventura.records, @phonicarecords and @rock86ct, spanning Italy, Brussels and the UK. Then, for hour two, the crates make way for a proper beb mix, letting the selections do its thing. Two hours of digging, discovery and wax-fuelled Wednesday energy.

  One thing’s for sure, we can all agree that the summer of 26 was a complete madness, whether stuck at home or out larging it. Given it was the hottest on record for the UK it felt fitting to put this one together. This mix is a culmination of all the dusty, dubby, psychedelic chuggers I’ve been sitting on for a while now, just waiting for an excuse to deploy. Dubbed out elements throughout, delayed drums, lots of guitar and some wiggy vocals of which staying firmly low and slow, never knowingly exceeding 122 bpm. A common goal unites Paixão’s different versions: the aim at providing a mental trip to his audience.
