• The Cruel, Inhuman Coach 01.06.2026 1h 14min
This week Andrew and Iain let Eddie reflect upon the sharpest of cuts in Austria, which did at least allow him sauna time with the locals. The trio then talk about a chance missed for Eric Cole to provide Laura Baugh with the perfect birthday present and look ahead to the US Women's Open. Meanwhile, Bryson taking AI coaching advice leads to Andrew - via an unkind ex-tennis player - to receive a disturbingly frank and accurate assessment of his golfing abilities.TCF brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd also: www.ping.comEmail: tcf@thechippingforecast.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. • The Ace of (Broken) Clubs 25.05.2026 1h 8min
This week is full of Belgian waffle but a lot of talk about actual golf stuff as Eddie returns with tales of hole-in-ones, good irons and bad temperament, while Andrew and Iain are determined to let him know that he's close to his best form. Some other matters are discussed as well... he said vaguely.Brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd: www.ping.comEmail:tcf@thechippingforecast.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. • A Rai Smile 18.05.2026 1h 16min
This week the three not-quite-amigos are talking about a trio of very special victories at the weekend. Aaron Rai becomes England's first (US) PGA Champion in over 100 years and we hear from Wolverhampton's finest on a life-changing victory, which he did with one of the great major final round performances. Meanwhile Lottie Woad wins on the LPGA Tour and Leonie Harm takes victory on the LET in Germany in what is a remarkable life story. There's plenty of time for other chat as well - Eddie's in Belgium preparing to get back out competing, the standard of Welsh golf comes under the spotlight and Andrew shows his very selective memory in predicting winners.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukThe BunkR wedge (and much more) at: www.ping.comEmail: tcf@thechippingforecast.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. • (The Original) PGA Preview 13.05.2026 49min
A chipolata to snack upon, on the eve of the PGA Championship. Andrew AND Eddie are joined (eventually) by Iain, who gives us his thoughts from Aronimink and in particular why he's grateful that he doesn't have a gambling problem. We hear from Rory McIlroy, who will be hoping to hobble his way into contention on an unsightly foot. And each of the TCF team reveals who they think might win, just so that you know who best to avoid.Email: tcf@thechippingforecast.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. • The Wood, The Mad and The Club-Tree 11.05.2026 1h 23min
Plenty to discuss this week and a slightly different trio to do so as Iain jets off for the USPGA, so Andrew and Eddie are joined by Chris Wood, whose return to form continued with a victory in Italy on the Hotel Planner Tour. The three talk about the dark times Woody has been through to get to where he is now as well as picking over Eddie's latest decent showing, with a top-20 in Spain that nevertheless led to clubs being either thrown or given away to children. There is also a debut PGA Tour win for Kristoffer Reitan to chat about while looking ahead to the second men's major at Aronimink.Check out Surge Trousers and much more at: www.petermillar.co.ukTry Reitan's winning clubs at: www.ping.comEmail: tcf@the chipping forecast.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. • Iron Man Returns 04.05.2026 1h 13min
With Andrew applying the finishing touches to his bumper colouring-in book, Eddie assumes the presenter’s seat buoyed by an encouraging return to action in Turkey. Iain (aka 'The Badger') is also happy with signs that show his golf isn’t quite as hapless as he feared. But the conversation is dominated by events on and off the course at the top of the game. They discuss a slow play penalty at the Turkish Open where there was a heartwarming winner, although we’re not sure whether it happened in Asia or Europe. Eddie and Iain also consider a dominant but dull win for Cameron Young and an equally emphatic win for Nelly Korda, while also getting into the possible demise of LIV Golf. They then round things off with Iain turning film critic and Eddie exclusively revealing that he doesn't know how to pack properly, or indeed stay around for a made cut.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukCheck out: www.ping.comEmail: tcf@thechippingforecast.co.ukInstagram for Badger in Training: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. • Family Fortunes 27.04.2026 1h 16min
This week Eddie is preparing for his return to Tour and joins late at night from Turkey as he, Andrew and Iain dissect a busy few days in golf. Alex Fitzpatrick has leaped on to the PGA Tour with his Zurich Classic pairs victory alongside brother Matt, who also plays golf. There is a discussion about the impressive nature of Nelly Korda's win at the Chevron and the less than impressive nature of it as a major. They also mull over the news that Lytham will return as an Open venue in a couple of years time, Jim Furyk will return as US Ryder Cup captain and Justin Rose has decided to start playing with clubs from a company that has never made clubs before.Get ready for summer golf at: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd also, check out the bags at: www.ping.comEmail: tcf@thechippingforecast.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. • The Craziest Guy on Tour 20.04.2026 1h 14min
You might think that the week after The Masters would be quiet by comparison, but the wonderful world of golf just keeps on giving. Andrew, Iain and Eddie convene to talk about Matt Fitzpatrick taking down Scottie Scheffler at Hilton Head, and wonder where the Sheffield man stands in the pantheon of English golfers. There is also a good deal of LIV discussion with the future of the tour uncertain, questioning of driving distance stats, a look ahed to the women's major season and most importantly, we discover which golfer is considered the craziest on tour.Brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAlso supported by: www.ping.comEmail: tcf@thechippingforecast.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. • Roreflections. 13.04.2026 1h 10min
It's time to wrap up the Masters and Rory McIlroy's epic defence, so who better to do that than his sun-cream buddy? Eddie joins Andrew and Iain to give his thoughts and we hear from the man himself in his late-night encounter with the nocturnal Badger. Eddie further questions LIV as suitable preparation for the test of The Masters and the trio all wonder if that might be the last great chance for Justin Rose. This episode is brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAlso check out: www.ping.comSee Iain and the Master on our Instagram page: @chippingforecastEmail: tcf@thechippingforecast.co.uk Hosted on Acast. • Masters SATURDAY - All To Play For. 12.04.2026 29min
As we (ok, some of us) predicted, it was never going to be a runaway win for Rory McIlroy at this year's Masters and heading into the final round several of the game's biggest names now have a chance to put on the jacket. Andrew and Iain join up at the end of round three to discuss Rory's struggles, the rise of Cam Young, the return of Scottie Scheffler and the dream that will not die for Justin Rose. We hear from McIlroy, Rose and Shane Lowry after his hole-in-one and look forward to what might be one of the greatest ever final rounds at Augusta. Hosted on Acast. • Masters FRIDAY - Rory Romping 11.04.2026 38min
What a story developing at The Masters as Rory McIlroy opens the largest ever lead after 36 holes (confirmed by actual people). So exciting is it, that Eddie decides to fight off the warm, welcoming arms of Morpheus to join Andrew and discuss matters, with Iain joining after his commentary duties. That will do for a description. It's all in the pod... Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
• Masters THURSDAY - The Defence Rests 10.04.2026 29min
The Masters is underway and we're now wondering if Rory can follow Jack, Nick and Tiger in keeping hold of the Green Jacket. Andrew and Iain come together with a short recap of the first round where not only did Rory impress, but so many big names are off to good starts, including World Number One Scottie Scheffler. Meanwhile as predicted by both Andrew and Iain, Jose-Maria Olazabal took Aldrich Potgeiter to short-game school. And then beat him up in the playground and stole his lunch. Hosted on Acast. • Not Tsen Percent 24.03.2026 1h 33min
An episode which is frankly too long, but you are of course free to split it in two, or stop listening whenever you have had enough. BUT, stick around if you want a slightly drunk Eddie after one glass of champagne to mark another top-ten finish, in Hainan, where he was steered around by an ever-smiling man called Tsen. That's as much as we know, really. Eddie gives the inside track on equipment changes and another impressive performance to take him into an enforced break as well as an enforced holiday until he can find a reasonable flight home. Or until he can get his bank card to work.Once Eddie has left / fallen asleep, Iain joins to chat about all the other golf taking place recently - Matt Fitzpatrick bouncing back to win on the PGA Tour, Bryson Dechambeau going head to head with Jon Rahm in a raucous LIV South Africa and Iain himself playing some mixed foursomes. There is also discussion of the DP World Tour brain drain and the possibility of a Ryder Cup without Rahm. • Half a World Away 17.03.2026 1h 10min
In this episode we find our intrepid trio separated by 9000 miles and twelve hours of time-zones with Iain in Florida, Andrew in the UK and Eddie in Hainan, having earned a late place in next week's tour event. By the wonders of technology they are all able to discuss a dramatic finish at The Players Championship where Cameron Young took the title and Matt Fitzpatrick came up just short. The three talk about the unconventional rise of Sudarshan Yellamaraju, wonder if they should be concerned about Scottie Scheffler and ask the crucial question 'Will Eddie say a word to his caddy this week?' There's also a new golfing goal for Iain and a history lesson on a 19th century Republican Senator, whether you want it or not.Visit: www.petermillar.co.ukCheck out: www.ping.comEmail: tcf@thechippingforecast.co.ukInstagram: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. • Ramble, Big Man, Ramble. 10.03.2026 1h 13min
With Iain somewhere en route to the Players Championship, it's up to Andrew and Eddie to hold the fort this week, which they don't technically manage to do as Andy Murray scales the walls to join in and look ahead to the Sunningdale Foursomes. There is also conversation about Eddie's performance in Johannesburg and how he can carry the solid form of his South African trip forward when he has little competitive golf coming up, except to partner with a former tennis player against the man who was once the best youth golfer in Europe. The wins for Dan Bradbury, Akshay Bhatia and Jon Rahm are also discussed, while they wonder if there should be concern about the form of Scottie Scheffler or the injury to Rory McIlroy. The answer is probably no, but serious worries remain about the number of dogs heading for Sunningdale.Brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukVisit: www.ping.comInstagram: @chippingforecastEmail: tcf@thechippingforecast.co.uk Hosted on Acast.
