  • Garden of Thought E.390 A Casual Conversation about Mythic Creatures 12.07.2026 2h 5min
My special guest is Ram's Fan and he suggested we each pick some creatures from myths, legends, lore and media, and discuss them. And that's exactly what we did. From Trolls to the Kraken. And way beyond. Casual and deep. As you'd expect from the Garden.
  • Garden of Thought E.389 Grass Roots Healthcare 09.07.2026 47min
Our guest is Dr. Athena Lorin Hall and we discuss several aspects that are problematic in healthcare. Not necessarily limited to the US. With over nine years of experience as a pediatric hospitalist and two years in a global health fellowship serving resource-limited communities, I’ve gained an invaluable perspective on both the strengths and shortcomings of our healthcare systems—and the opportunities to reimagine them.I am deeply committed to advancing a community-centered, humanized, and equitable approach to healthcare, one that prioritizes mental health, prevention, and connection.Grounded in collaboration, trauma-informed care, and meaningful community engagement, my work focuses on transforming how care is delivered and experienced. To bring this vision to life, I founded ZNA Health Network, a platform that connects healthcare professionals, community leaders, and innovators to share ideas, co-create solutions, and strengthen the systems that support health and healing for all.

We talk to one of those routes.https://mentalhealthaddictionlawfirm.comMental Health and Addiction Law Firm Boca Raton, FL: (561) 419-6095Mental Health and Addiction Law Firm Boston, MA: (617) 272-9050Baker Act Attorneys: (855) 429-0074Fax: (561) 828-3856Email: mark@astorsimovitchlaw.com

  • Garden of Thought E.385 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 23.06.2026 1h 30min
White Chocolate is neither of those things. But he is my former cohost on the Evolve podcast I used to do. He's also a really interesting, smart and funny guy. And he picked Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. A story that never quite felt like a happy little children's story. We explore that and I introduce many Garden meanders.

  • Garden of Thought E.383 Debunkamania 13.06.2026 1h 31min
Dr. Joe Wilson is an archeologist who wants to believe. There's even some alternative theories he gives due consideration to. But he keeps butting heads with...well, buttheads.Anyway, we start with an analysis of the Siberian to North America connections. The arrow he follows is actually a type of bow. This same bow that started in Asia and moved West with the steppe horse peoples. But it also moved East. Along the way, we discuss white indians, double toothed giants, red haired giants, skin color, skull alterations, and other favorites. What about alien mummies? We cover them. What about people with much larger brains? We cover this too. From the seal pelt trade to the Cardiff Giant, you're gonna like our new friend.
  • Garden of Thought E.382 Consumer Advocacy 10.06.2026 52min
We are joined today by David Hirschfield of Consumer Escalation Services.Consumer advocacy is a subject I care deeply about, especially helping people understand practical options before they assume their only path is a lawsuit. Through Consumer Escalation Services and my book, The Consumer Escalation Playbook, my goal is to help consumers organize their facts, document their issues, communicate professionally, and escalate complaints in a clear, structured, nonlegal way.I think this could be a strong conversation for your audience. We could discuss common consumer mistakes, why emotions often hurt complaints, how documentation changes outcomes, when escalation makes sense, and what people can do when companies ignore them or give them the runaround.
  • Garden of Thought E.381 What Precedes Anomalies 06.06.2026 1h 17min
George Mitrovic returns after a long hiatus and he's brought his opus with him.He compiles and coalates data. And what he's discovered might change the future of research into the unexplained. Turns out it doesn't matter whether it's a cryptid or a UFO or any number of things we catehorize as paranormal, there's always a signal. The signal is before, during, and immediately after. Mitrovic has tracked this for 200 years over 4 continents and has found changes in harmonics and vibrational frequencies. Using proper detection devices, investigators could be prepared to know where and when to point their instruments. George has published the 80 page summary of his findings, which will be followed by the full work.
  • Garden of Thought E.380 Divination 03.06.2026 1h 3min
She has a mixed ancestry of different faiths and she found her way towards her own journey. Kardela Mohamed joins us to discuss the titular topic of divination. But we didn't limit ourselves to that. From French Cajun influences to Islam and the Caribbean mix of Puerto Rico, we find a discovery of spiritualism and enlightenment. From there, we get to being a medium, reading tarot and divination. We also meet Hecate and you'll find out why she's involved.
  • Garden of Thought E.379 Caprica 30.05.2026 1h 57min
When you're trying to do a show on a show that almost no one watched, and no one wants to watch it now, you find out who your friends are. Several tried. But despite my assurances, no one made it past episode 3. Until my favorite faux daughter, Cee The Superior said yes. And she got her fiance involved too. Bonus, he already loves Battlestar Galactica! He probably loves her too, but we don't care about that. Anyway, they watched it and picked up the threads I was picking up too. Plus, at least one I missed entirely!Listen to our deep and spiritual discussion about issues eternally topical and especially topical right now (2020's). Some join us as we go to Caprica, visit Tauron and Geminon, and another realm entirely. Did the Reese's Cup mixed religion with science to create monotheistic Ultron? Join us for in depth analysis of the BSG prequel: Caprica. Until it all happens again in about 23 Billion years. Give or take.
  • Garden of Thought E.378 Into the Desert 27.05.2026 1h 37min
Elgin and Larissa cohost the "Into the Desert" podcast on YouTube which seeks to inspire honest discussion without derision and name calling. Obviously, with your flawed host here, the only way to accomplish that was to have them take over the show. I mean almost. Kind of. Sorta. But I mostly followed their lead and we discussed political issues, questions of theology, and all sorts of things without anyone insuitling anyone. But I may have caught one of them doing a shot. I'm not saying which one and I'm probably lying. But I'm being truthful when I tell you, they are lovely people and we had intelligent discourse. Thus, I think visitations to the desert might be helpful to all.
  • Garden of Thought E.377 Prophecy of Daniel and Beasts 23.05.2026 1h 15min
Laiva Shor from Sweet and Good Torah joins us again to continue our Yeshiva exploartion into prophets. The interesting ones. To me anyway.Daniel is up. What's the deal with being in a den full of lions? Was that part of the prophecy? If not, what was the prophecy? How are some circles interpreting it? Is it coming true now? What in the ten horns am I reading? Oh yeah, there are indeed 10 horns. Not those 10 horns. Or maybe they are.
  • Garden of Thought E.376 Ending the Prison Cycle 20.05.2026 54min
Dr. Kim Nugent is the author of 10 books and started her career in hospitality, and worked her way into academia and became a College President. She developed a program that both increases the safety in maximum security prisons whilst reducing post release recidivism. • Garden of Thought E.375 Twilight Zone Riff Session 17.05.2026 1h 23min
I lit the Guest Signal and assembled a panel. That panel agreed to discuss the classic Twilight Zone series and related topics. So, join me on this journey to a land of sight and sound. With returning guets Joey Restivo, JJ Alexander, and Chris Matthews. We have a far ranging discussion but primarily on the Twilight Zone and it's many offspring.
  • Garden of Thought E.374 Sky Creator 14.05.2026 1h 32min
We welcome in Damien Marie Athope, a one time student pursuing a career in Christian Counseling turned independent researcher. Damien's research led to a thirst for knowledge in the religions of many peoples and regions. Those studies included archeology and linguistics. As a result, Athope was able to present a survey of African religions and noticed they had some notable similarities to other old world religions. Primarily in the form of a sky creator that may or may not be gendered and is benevolent but removed from us humans. Perhaps this is the root religion. Perhaps it started somewhere else and returned to Africa. Decide for yourself.
  • Garden of Thought E.373 Crete, Minoans and Atlantis 09.05.2026 1h 9min
Bernie Taylor is back. Our guide around the Meditterean took me up on talking about Crete, We still haven't deciphered it's writings, but it's influence outsizes the island's size. From the legend of Atlantis to the Minoans and myths such as the Minotaur, on to any Phoenician connections, Crete looms large.Listen in and let's see if we can't separate some facts from fiction, and maybe leave some things in the gray.
