Ep 102 - Caleb Knueven: Skateboarding, Filmmaking & The Pull of Analog Photography 22.04.2026 1h 4minHow many creative careers begin with a skateboard and a video camera?Like many kids growing up around skateboarding, Caleb initially wanted to be the one landing tricks. But around the age of twelve, he realized something important: while some of his friends were progressing faster on their boards, he had discovered another way to contribute to the culture.He picked up a video camera.Officially, it was supposed to be for filming his younger brother's soccer games. In reality, it quickly became a tool for making skate videos with friends, documenting sessions, and learning how stories could be told through moving images.Those early skate edits sparked something much bigger.That path eventually led him to the University of Kansas, where he studied film and theatre before discovering a passion for visual effects.
