Boy 13.09.2026 57minHi Sleepy!I'm getting older. My body knows it. My thoughts move slower than they used to. Inside I still feel like I did at twenty. For many years I tried to be the kind of man I thought I was supposed to be. I drank too much. The shame from those years is still with me.Now I make the things I want to make. It took a long time to get here.I also think about consciousness. About what a self is. The cells in my body. The universe. And me somewhere in between, one single person who can never be replaced. You don't have to follow along. Let the words pass.Sleep Tight! From the archive, first heard in June 2024. Book of the Day 06.09.2026 1hHi sweet Sleepy!A rerun from the archive, first heard in May 2024. In this one I drift between my teenage years with my best friend Marcus — our ambitious attempt at a homemade fantasy film, and a little improvisation game we invented called "Book of the Day" — and bigger things: the Voyager probes, the Golden Record, and our strange urge to send a piece of ourselves into the void. It gets a bit dreamlike towards the end. Don't follow the thread too closely. Let my voice wash over you, and drift off.Sleep tight! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. -
The Humbling Rumbling Rambling 30.08.2026 42minHi dearest Sleepy!A rerun from the archive — this was the very first English episode I ever made, back in May 2024. No music, no guided meditation, none of the usual sleep podcast stuff. Just me, letting my mind wander in my imperfect English: furry conventions, untranslatable Swedish phrases, and why we're so hard on ourselves. Don't listen too closely. Let my voice wash over you, and drift off.Sleep tight! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. -
Tranquil Tête-à-Tête 23.08.2026 59minHi Sleepy. This time I wander through childhood memories, my old teenage barbershop quartet, an old friend, and some thoughts about how strange it is to simply be alive. My English stumbles here and there, my thoughts wander off, and I occasionally forget what I was talking about. As usual. You don’t have to follow any of it. Just let me talk somewhere in the background and see where we end up.Sleep tight. From the archive, first heard in May 2024. Hosted on Acast. My Summer 16.08.2026 1hFirst day back after the summer. I sit down and I start with gravel. Not the interesting kind. There isn't an interesting kind. But where I grew up almost nothing was paved, and when you came off a bike on that surface it took a wide decorative area out of you and filled it with small stones. And those stones lived in your knee until September. So this one is mostly that. Two memories from a very small village in the middle of Sweden. My little brother and a friend stuck in a ditch full of clay, and one single boot left lying on the road. And a boy called Pontus who did a skid that tied a knot in itself. There are old people in it too. Real ones. Born so long ago they had probably seen the nineteenth century. One of them stood on his steps and offered us sweets and then wanted to hear about our lives. Then I talk about my summer. Copenhagen with my daughter, who navigates vintage shops she found on TikTok while I stand there holding the bags. Being told, gently, that my life is unfair. Driving alone to places nobody else wants to go to, and slowly noticing that the pleasure in it is running out.And whether or not I have been swimming this summer. You can decide that one for yourself. No script. No plan. One hour, and then a timer goes off. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. -
Me being me 09.08.2026 43minIt is summer, with all that comes with it, so this is a rerun. A fallback to a more innocent time, when I was still quite new at this whole speaking-English-into-a-microphone thing. This is me letting my mind wander. No script, no soothing affirmations, just my imperfect English and whatever thoughts show up. That was sort of the point then, and it still is.I talk about the spaceship I invented as a kid, the Adventure Wolf. About my drinking, back when that was a thing, and how I found my way back to my childhood imagination. I get into national identity and why I would rather belong to the whole world than to one flag. Somewhere along the way there are schoolyard bullies, old Swedish poetry that romanticizes war, and some thoughts on sleep and the lack of it.You do not need to follow any of this. Just let my voice be there in the room while you drift off. It is completely fine to fall asleep in the middle of a sentence. That is what it is for. From the archive, first heard in May 2024. The Temple of Not Knowing 02.08.2026 1h 1minHi, Sleepy.Tonight I try to stand on the floor of not knowing. Not as a clever sentence, not as a podcast slogan, but as an actual place to put your feet in the morning. From uncertain times and foggy future towns to acting, meditation, smartphones, forecasts, sobriety, fathers, daughters, white beards I cannot grow, and the strange certainty that if you are hearing this, I somehow made it all the way to the end. This is an episode about uncertainty, but in the sleepy way. No alarms. No instructions. Just a Swedish boy-man in Stockholm talking himself through the fog while you drift in and out beside him. Maybe falling asleep. Maybe just resting inside the fact that none of us really know what comes next.It is what it is. What happens, happens. And right now, there’s nothing we can do about it.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. -
Bluish Mountains 26.07.2026 1hHi Sleepy. Tonight the talking puts on its shoes and wanders off again. A cold Stockholm morning becomes bluish mountains in Dalarna, which becomes old theater rooms, old fear, old drunk directors, and then somehow a warm little container called Adventure Wolf, where no one has to prove anything to anyone.I talk about getting older and still not becoming a wise, stable mountain person. About fame, and how something that once looked like freedom can start to feel like a coat made of wet carpet. About loneliness as space, as habit, as prison, as a room where you sometimes find yourself and sometimes just your phone charger. You don’t have to follow all of this, Sleepy. You can let it blur. Let my voice walk somewhere in the next room while you drift off to sleep, through memory, bitterness, gratitude, and the strange peace of small places. It is what it is. What happens, happens. And right now, there’s nothing we can do about it.Cause of summer leave, this episode is a rerun from one of the older favourite episodes. Brand new episode coming next week.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. -
My Hiding Place 19.07.2026 1h 1minHi, Sleepy.Tonight we walk back to the old hiding place. The imaginary cabin in the deep Scandinavian forest, where the asphalt gives up, the gravel road gives up, and eventually even the noisy little generator of being a person seems to give up too. There is moss, an old stone that should probably be touched, a deer path, a cabin with silver-grey wood, smoke from a chimney that nobody has lit, a chair that knows me, a kettle, books, Handel singing to a tree, and the strange relief of entering a place that doesn’t need to explain itself. This is an episode about shelter. About thresholds. About being between the forest and the fire, between the outside and the inside, between awake and asleep. And perhaps, Sleepy, about finding a room somewhere in yourself where you can just sit for a while with coffee, old wood, and no particular assignment. At the end, we go down to the black forest tarn. And maybe we swim.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. Close Your Eyes and Let Go 12.07.2026 1h 1minHi, Sleepy.Tonight we begin in the benigning, which is not a word, but it might be a place. A small Swedish-English place where I stand with my pockets full of half-working words, wondering if I have enough of them to carry us through the night. From there we somehow move toward a forest, an axe, my dad, and that old strange fear that maybe there is something wrong with me in a way no one has noticed yet. But before that gets too serious, there is also a terrible podcast called Grunts from the Gym, some thoughts about heavy-breathing strangers, and me sneaking into a Pilates class, standing in the back, trying to love myself even though I’m not very good at it.This is an episode about doing things badly. About going to classes just to be close to your teenager. About watching your parents’ world become smaller and fearing that your own might one day do the same. And then, near the end, it becomes just you and me, Sleepy. Awake while everyone else is busy building strange dream-treehouses with their ex-bosses.A small room in the middle of the night. You’re allowed to be human here. You’re allowed to fall asleep.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/HenrikstahlCause of summer leave, this episode is a rerun from one of the older favourite episodes. Rust, Moss and the End of the List 05.07.2026 1hIn this episode, Sleepy, I try to list everything in the universe before the hour is over. It starts well, with light, the moon, spoons and dust, but then reality becomes rude and starts unfolding in too many directions at once. There are atoms, hiccups, moss, mirrors, shadows, debt, mushrooms, rust, gravity, sleep, and possibly a doctor pie. There is also the strange fact that most things are emptiness pretending to be solid, and that a shadow is just light being interrupted by you.A drifting, introspective and imaginative journey to sleep about everything and nothing, with a strange Swedish man in Stockholm doing his best to keep track of existence before existence gets away from him.It is what it is. What happens, happens. And right now, there’s nothing we can do about it.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. Words That Wander Home 28.06.2026 1h 1minTonight I fall into the strange little trapdoor between Swedish and English, Sleepy, where one word is perfectly innocent on one side of the sea and slightly alarming on the other. There will be Swedish words. Real ones. Suspicious ones. A few that sound rude but are mostly about road signs, ice cream, children, baths, herring, nurses, kindness and the grief of standing in a doorway. Somewhere in there we find lagom, fika, orka, jobbig, sjö, jo, and a made-up word that maybe should exist: threshold grief. It’s an introspective and slightly linguistic journey to sleep, through language, memory, fatherhood, old places, Swedish fog, and Pippi Longstocking. You may learn something. You may learn absolutely nothing. Both outcomes are accepted here.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. The Birch Trees Remembered First 21.06.2026 1h 1minHi Sleepy. Tonight we wander into that strange little gap before a feeling has a name. A sound moves the air in your ear, a smell opens a basement door inside you, a birch tree in the wind becomes childhood, and suddenly the body has arrived long before the words come running after it, late and out of breath. There are grannies, boomers, vowels and bowels, thunder at the kitchen table, a cemetery walk among birches, and one small blissling in a northern Swedish church that grows when it is gently noticed. This is an introspective and slightly ridiculous journey to sleep about feeling, memory, language, smell, the body, and all the things in us that never become sentences.Drift off to sleep, Sleepy. It is what it is. What happens, happens. And right now, there is nothing we can do about it.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. It Is What It Is, Said the Moon 14.06.2026 1hTonight I circle around the small surrender of it is what it is, Sleepy. Weather, gravity, cold tea, ancient rocks, dogs, cats, seeds cracking open in the dark, and the strange comfort of being a tiny passenger on a planet that refuses to ask our permission. This is a soft, wandering journey to sleep about the things we can’t control, the things growing quietly inside us, and the lighthouse keeper in all of us who can only keep the light going while the sea does what the sea does.So drift off to sleep, or just lie there with me for a while. What happens, happens. And right now, there is nothing we can do about it.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. How Do You Know If You Love Someone? 07.06.2026 1hIn this episode I sit on a slightly uncomfortable bar stool in my Stockholm apartment and begin, somehow, with posture. Then we drift, Sleepy, into figure skating, old video cameras, a very expensive leather jacket, a glass of red wine at "The Prince", and the strange fear of being loved too directly. There are teenage storage rooms, unfinished feelings, first relationships, cowardly letters, phone calls to fathers who don’t quite know how to answer, and a night walk through the Forest Cemetery with too much alcohol and too much heart. It’s an episode about wanting love and wanting solitude, about the younger versions of ourselves who tried to understand what love was while already being afraid of it. Maybe it’s also about the fact that nothing is wasted. Not even the embarrassing parts. Especially not those.Come drift off to sleep with me, Sleepy. We’ll let the old stories skate around for a while, and then maybe they’ll leave us alone.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. The Fox Has All the Time in the World 31.05.2026 59minIn this episode, Sleepy, I speak from my apartment instead of my little studio in the backyard, surrounded by a portable recording booth, a stiff bar stool, and the faint sound of children in the yard outside. From there, my mind wanders to kindergarten, clay birds with bright feathers, fur coats in a hallway, and the strange fact that some part of me may still be waiting to be picked up. Then I drift between city and countryside, sirens and roosters, foxes and streetlights, dark skies and apartment ceilings striped with other people’s headlights. This is a soft introspective journey to sleep about where I come from, what I’ve gotten used to, what I miss, and whether loneliness is larger in a crowd or under indifferent stars. It is what it is. What happens, happens. And right now, there’s nothing we can do about it.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. The Butterfly Orchestra Was Too Loud 24.05.2026 1hIn this episode, Sleepy, we wander into the strange workshop of theatre itself. The table readings, the shoes, the frightened directors, the actors holding scripts like shields, the sacred line about saddling the king’s horses. I remember rehearsal rooms, wild-horse masculinity, Shakespeare chairs turned the wrong way, and the old ache of feeling like the dork in an eighties high school movie. Then, because this is what happens, we drift north through Sweden with Mr. Green Branch and the Butterfly Orchestra, a bitter larva, a van full of jazz musicians, cold morning venues, moose hunters who cannot be reached, children storming the stage, and one parent trying to save everyone from dangerous jazz.A sleepy, funny, introspective journey through acting, fear, touring, abandoned scripts, old theatres, and the small strange truth that sometimes a larva just has to become a butterfly. Or not. What happens, happens. May you fall asleep somewhere between the rehearsal room and the moose forest, and have a peaceful night.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. Purring Through the Apocalypse 17.05.2026 1h 1minHi Sleepy. Tonight we begin in the usual humble abode, that small studio in the backyard where the past still keeps some furniture, and we drift from sticky thoughts to electric shocks, from the mystery of knowledge forming in the brain to Flingan the tick-covered philosopher cat. There is a warehouse dream in here somewhere. A studio inside a studio. A window with light outside it. There is also a midsummer doorstep, a cat who once knew exactly what to do, magpies, alarm clocks, denim men in dreams, the Tower of Babel (although I say Babylon in the episode, sorry about that), and God possibly needing better communication skills. This is an episode about being trapped in a mind, but also gently accompanied inside it. By a voice. By a cat. By a strange thought that refuses to become useful. For falling asleep, drifting off to sleep, or simply spending a peaceful night with your own sticky little brain.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. Backseat Childhood Boy 10.05.2026 1hTonight, Sleepy, we begin with seagulls, of course. The old fish-gulls of Stockholm, one of them swallowing a whole pizza with the quiet dignity of a fallen emperor. From there we drift into walnuts, childhood, the strange power of being the only one who has ever seen a particular thing, and then somehow, quite naturally, into alcohol, acting school, red wine, Sambuca on fire, shame, freedom, loneliness, sobriety, and the small child in the backseat who still wants to come along. This is an episode about staying with yourself. About the wild Henrik and the quiet Henrik, both real, both asking for something. A sleepy, introspective journey to sleep through seagulls, old parties, strange memories, and the rainy grey field where life continues without needing to be solved. It is what it is. What happens, happens. And right now, there is nothing we can do about it.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. The Forest in the Blue 03.05.2026 1hTonight, Sleepy, we begin in the blue, get dropped into a forest of the mind, and somehow end up discussing mist, Apple Watch pressure, Swedish community buildings, the dark forest theory, lonely Facebook groups, English consonants, weird words, escape goats, tigers, American politics, Swedish myths, tiny wrists and the strange comfort of being alive at the same time as someone else. This is an episode about things bleeding into each other. Thoughts, forests, languages, countries, jokes, pain, and whatever that thing was you said out loud when Henrik asked you to say something weird in the dark. A peaceful night for falling asleep, drifting off to sleep, or simply being here while the world remains strange and specific. It is what it is. What happens, happens. And right now, there’s nothing we can do about it.Sleep Tight!More about Henrik, click here: https://linktr.ee/Henrikstahl Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
