  • May Witchcraft 16.05.2026 1h 9min
On this episode we are stepping into the strange, earthy and folkloric energy of May Witchcraft. We begin with Lily of the Valley after my mum recently gifted one to me for my garden and naturally, I ended up completely falling down the rabbit hole of its folklore and magical associations. Together we explore the flowers connections to faery folklore, protection, divination, springtime traditions, connected deities, old Christian symbolism, weddings, luck, death omens and the return of happiness. Despite its delicate appearance Lily of the Valley carries an incredibly liminal energy and has long been associated with the veil between worlds. From there we descend underground into the world of coal and charcoal magic. Lately I have been feeling much more earthy and grounded within my practice, perhaps because of Taurus season but also because I have been spending so much time gardening, growing herbs and reconnecting with the soil again. This led me towards wanting to explore the simple but powerful ingredients that would once have been accessible within everyday folk magic — things like salt, charcoal and coal. We look at the magical uses of coal and charcoal throughout history including protection, grounding, purification, banishing, prosperity work and spiritual cleansing alongside old folk beliefs surrounding miners, omens and underground spirits. Finally we finish with haunted mining folklore and ghost stories inspired by the folk horror novel Scratch Moss by David Barnett. Expect tales of Knockers, phantom miners, eerie omens, ghostly hands carrying candles through the tunnels, spectral black dogs, Bluecap spirits and the strange supernatural folklore that grew from the deep mines beneath the earth. So make yourself a cup of tea, settle in and join me for this wonderfully strange journey into May Witchcraft.
  • The Flower Moon 29.04.2026 29min
In this episode, we explore the energy of the Flower Moon — a time of growth, fertility, and life in full expression. This full moon is deeply connected to the fertile pulse of the Earth, making it a powerful point in the lunar cycle for both manifestation and inner expansion. We look at how to work with this energy in a way that feels supportive and aligned, rather than overwhelming or performative. Inside the episode, I share: * The spiritual and energetic themes of the Flower Moon * How this lunar phase supports growth, abundance, and renewal * A grounded approach to manifestation and intention setting * The role of shadow work in allowing yourself to fully receive * Simple ways to work with this moon through ritual, tarot, and journaling This is a moon that invites both action and awareness — a balance between tending to what is ready to bloom and gently releasing what may still be holding you back. ⸻ You may also wish to listen alongside the Flower Moon Meditation, released at the same time to deepen your experience and integrate the themes explored in this episode.
  • Witches Salt 23.04.2026 1h 9min
In this episode we look at Witch’s Salt, one of the most ancient, powerful and accessible tools in magickal practice. We explore the many forms salt can take, from sea salt and Himalayan pink salt to black salt, kosher salt and beyond. Looking at how each can be worked with in spellcraft, ritual and everyday magick including how to create your own black salt, a potent protective blend rooted in folk tradition. We journey through the sacred history of salt across different religions and cultures, uncovering its role in ritual, purification and protection. Along the way we touch on old superstitions of witches, the devil, spilled salt and various different folklore. We also dive into mythology exploring deities connected to salt including those from Aztec and Mesopotamian traditions and the powerful stories woven around them. Finally we look at creative ways to work with salt in your own practice, blending your own magical salts for different intentions from protection to glamour. Our book review is Scratch Moss by David Barnett
  • April Witchcraft 13.04.2026 1h 3min
On this episode we are looking at two different flowers you could work with that are perfect to plant during this month - cornflowers and hollyhocks. Hollyhock stands at the edges of the home, a traditional guardian of thresholds. It carries the energy of protection and abundance. Cornflower carries the magic of intuition, clarity and inner sight. Its vivid blue has long been linked to the third eye supporting divination and deeper perception. In Slavic folklore we meet Habernitsa, the Cornflower Wraith. A noon spirit said to dwell in the fields. She reminds us that the spirit world often meets us in unexpected ways. Cornflower also appears in the story of Chiron, the wise centaur, who used its healing properties after being wounded by a poisoned arrow during the chaos of Heracles’ battle with the nine-headed serpent, the Hydra. We also look at the owl, a guide between worlds. It represents deep, earned wisdom often found in stillness. Its presence reminds us to trust what we sense, even when it cannot yet be explained. Our book review is Hungerstone by Kat Dunn.
  • March Witchcraft 16.03.2026 55min
March Witchcraft - Badger Medicine, Brigantia & Goblin Coombe In this March episode we explore the spiritual symbolism of the badger and its place within witchcraft, folklore and the awakening energies of early spring. We begin by looking at the difference between power animals, spirit animals and totem animals exploring how animals can appear within magical practice as guides, protectors and reflections of our own inner nature. The badger carries strong spiritual themes of earth magic, resilience, protection and boundaries. As an animal that lives beneath the soil in deep underground setts it has long been associated with the underworld, hidden knowledge and the quiet strength required to move through darkness before returning to the light. We also explore the badger’s connections to witchcraft and British folklore. We then look at the Celtic goddess Brigantia, a powerful deity associated with northern Britain, sovereignty and the land itself. Brigantia’s energy reflects the stirring of the earth as winter loosens its grip and spring begins to rise. To close the episode we step into folklore with a March tale called Goblin Coombe, a mysterious wooded valley in Somerset long associated with fae legends and supernatural encounters. This story is from the book Telling the Seasons - Stories, Celebrations and Folklore around the Year by Martin Maudsley.
  • Birth Charts with Becky Lovatt 05.03.2026 1h 20min
Hello Witches In this episode I’m joined by astrologer Rebecca Lovatt to explore how our birth charts can act as maps of potential energy, helping us understand ourselves more deeply and move through life with greater awareness. Rather than seeing astrology as prediction or fate, Rebecca speaks about the birth chart as a language of timing and personal design — a framework that can help us recognise our natural rhythms, strengths and challenges. We also explore how planetary transits can act as triggers for growth, healing and self-reflection. When understood consciously these periods can be approached with support, patience and nervous system awareness rather than fear or reaction. This conversation moves astrology away from rigid forecasts and into something far more useful - a tool for self-knowledge, compassion and conscious action. In this episode we explore - • How a birth chart reflects potential energy rather than fixed destiny • Why understanding your chart can lead to greater self-acceptance • What planetary transits actually represent and why they can feel intense • How transits act as triggers for growth, change and healing • The connection between astrology, the nervous system and emotional processing • Why slowing down during major transits can support deeper integration • How astrology can help us move from reactive behaviour to conscious response • The relationship between certain transits and physical health or illness • Stories and examples of health events aligning with astrological timing • Why understanding cycles can help us approach life with greater compassion Affectionately known as the “astrologer next door" and translating the stars from the edge of ancient Sherwood Forest, Becky is an astrologer, Human Design guide, and space-holder for people moving through change, healing, and remembering who they are. With one foot firmly on the ground with all that earthy chart energy and another in the deep waters with an 8th house moon, she brings practical clarity, warmth, and a steady presence to the often raw but transformative parts of your story. Becky uses her human design, astrological and somatic tools to support individuals, therapists, practitioners, and sensitive souls who are ready to understand their blueprint, honour their cycles, and walk their path with more self compassion and ease. Working to bring you back to a deeper understanding of yourself, through the lens of individuality and authenticity in a person centred, therapeutically aligned way. https://thehumblewarrior.co.uk/
  • The Science & Psychology of Magick with Molly Donlan 26.02.2026 1h 37min
In this episode, I’m joined by Molly Donlan, author of Mundane Magick and host of the Demystifying Magic podcast for a conversation that bridges science, psychology and practical witchcraft. We explore how magic does not sit in opposition to science but can be understood through psychological, neurological and behavioural frameworks. Molly shares how her own magical practice transformed her mental health and why ritual can be particularly supportive for neurodiverse minds especially when it comes to task initiation, executive function and reducing resistance to everyday life. This is a grounded conversation about making witchcraft livable, accessible and genuinely helpful. In this episode we look at why science and witchcraft are not at odds, the psychological explanations for spell work and ritual, how magical framing supports executive functioning and task initiation, the relationship between productivity and wellbeing, why small, intentional rituals can be more powerful than elaborate ceremonies, ADHD-friendly magical mind hacks that reduce resistance, the serious depth behind cozy witchcraft, using spell work for everyday tasks including Full Moon chore charts and how energy healing your space shifts your internal and external environment. • Beyond Ayahuasca with Roman Hanis 20.02.2026 1h 9min
Hello Witches In this episode of the podcast I am joined by Roman Hanis, the author of Beyond Ayahuasca for a grounded, honest conversation about ayahuasca. Often referred to as the Mother Plant it has become one of the most sought after spiritual experiences in the modern world. Roman’s work invites us to look beyond the visions, beyond the mysticism and into something far more important - integration, nervous system safety, humility and sovereignty. Together we explore why peak mystical experiences are not the same as embodied transformation, the difference between insight and real, lived integration and the risks of chasing ceremony after ceremony. This conversation is not about romanticising plant medicine but about how true transformation is not found in the ceremony alone but how you choose to live once you return. Ayahuasca is a powerful psychoactive substance and carries significant physical and psychological risks. This episode is for educational and reflective purposes only. If you are considering plant medicine please research thoroughly, seek qualified medical advice and prioritise your safety and mental wellbeing. If you are considering an ayahuasca ceremony I highly recommend Roman's book - you may also want to consider the following journal prompts. The book also has a number of exercises you can work through. Journal Prompts for Reflection What am I hoping an altered state would give me that I am not currently giving myself? Where in my life am I mistaking intensity for growth? What would true integration look like in my day-to-day behaviour? How can I build nervous system safety before seeking expansion?
  • Morana - Goddess of Winter, Death & Dark Waters 12.02.2026 42min
In this episode, we meet Morana, the Slavic goddess of winter, death and necessary endings. She governs the season when the land grows quiet, when the sun weakens and when life turns inward. In traditional belief winter marked a descent toward Nav the realm of the dead and Morana presided over this liminal threshold. We explore her role in rites including the burning or drowning of her effigy to symbolically release winter and welcome renewal. We also look at her deeper associations with dark waters, rivers and crossings — spaces long understood as boundaries between worlds. As a goddess of necessary endings Morana speaks to grief, burnout, identity shifts and the pauses that precede transformation.
