The Fire Sermon ~ Teachings of the Buddha 04.09.2026 14минĀdittapariyāya Sutta, popularly known as "The Fire Sermon", is the third major discourse delivered by the Buddha. Spoken on top of the Gayasisa Hill to a gathering of 1,000 newly converted ascetics, the sermon provides a psychologically acute formula for breaking free from worldly attachments. This reading is an amalgam of translations including those of Bhikkhu Bodhi, Bhante Sujato, Ṭhānissaro Bhikkhu and Ayya Jitindriya.🙏 May whatever goodness arises from these readings/offerings be for the benefit of all sentient beings.🔆 These podcasts are not monetized. The Mandukya Upanishad ~ Advaita Vedanta 29.08.2026 17минThe Māṇḍūkya Upaniṣhad is one of the later and shortest of the principal Upaniṣads, consisting of just twelve remarkably dense verses. It belongs to the Atharvaveda and is traditionally attributed to no single author, emerging from the ancient contemplative tradition of India.Though brief, it became one of the most influential texts of Advaita Vedānta. Its central teaching explores the four dimensions of consciousness — waking, dreaming, deep sleep and Turīya, the “Fourth,” which transcends and underlies them all. Through the symbolism of OM, the Upaniṣad points toward that which is beyond all changing states of experience.Through remarkably concise and penetrating verses, the Upaniṣhad points beyond the mind, beyond experience and beyond every concept of who we believe ourselves to be. What remains when waking, dreaming and deep sleep are understood as passing appearances? What is that which knows them all?The answer cannot be grasped merely as an idea. The Māṇḍūkya invites us to turn inward and discover directly the silent awareness that is present before, during and beyond every changing experience.Music: Divine Om Chant🙏 May whatever goodness arises from these readings/offerings be for the benefit of all sentient beings.🔆 These podcasts are not monetized. Max Picard ~ A Meditation on Silence 21.08.2026 22минMax Picard (1888–1965) was a Swiss-German philosopher, physician, and mystic whose profound vision and work speaks with extraordinary force to our increasingly noisy and distracted age —yet whose voice seems more necessary now than ever. Born in Schopfheim, Germany, near the Swiss border, to Jewish parents, Picard trained as a physician before abandoning medicine in 1918. Increasingly disenchanted with the mechanistic direction of modern science, he turned away from clinical life and withdrew to the quiet landscapes of southern Switzerland, settling in Caslano and neighbouring villages, where he devoted himself to contemplative writing and exploring silence, solitude, presence, and the sacred power of the human word. In 1939, Picard converted to Roman Catholicism from the Judaism of his youth.A deeply original thinker, his life and work were marked by an uncompromising simplicity and inwardness. He deliberately avoided academic institutions, intellectual fashion, and public prominence, yet maintained friendships and correspondence with some of the most perceptive minds of the twentieth century, including Hermann Hesse, Gabriel Marcel, Gaston Bachelard, and Rainer Maria Rilke. 🙏 May whatever goodness arises from these readings/offerings be for the benefit of all sentient beings.🔆 These podcasts are not monetized. Chuang Tzu (Zhuangzi) c. 369–286 BCE was one of ancient China’s greatest Daoist sages. Living during the turbulent Warring States period, he rejected worldly ambition and chose a life of simplicity, freedom and contemplation. His teachings are filled with brilliant paradoxes, humour and stories that challenge our deepest assumptions about reality, identity and the self. His timeless work, the Zhuangzi, points toward a life of effortless harmony with the Dao—and freedom from the limitations of the thinking mind. Sayings of the Desert Mothers ~ Christian Mystics 16.06.2026 14минThis is a reading for meditation of selected teachings/sayings of the Desert Mothers, taken from 'Apophthegmata Patrum' (Sayings of the Desert Fathers & Mothers) translated by Benedicta Ward; and Philokia: compiled in the eighteenth century by Macarius of Corinth (1731-1805). The teachings spoken here are from the Mothers - Amma Theodora, Amma Syncletica and Amma Sarah. The Desert Mothers lived primarily in the fourth and fifth centuries, withdrawing to the arid regions of the eastern Mediterranean at a time when Christianity had become legally protected and increasingly institutionalized. Like their male counterparts, they sought the desert as a place of stripping away — a landscape where distractions fell silent and the soul was exposed before God.Some lived in loose monastic communities; others inhabited abandoned tombs, caves, or simple mud-brick cells. Their days were shaped by prayer, fasting, manual labor, and long periods of silence. Water was scarce, food minimal, and illness common. The desert was not romantic — it was a place of bodily weakness and spiritual testing. They were called ammas, meaning “mothers,” a title that conveyed both intimacy and authority. This was not sentimental language. To be an amma was to be recognized as someone whose life had been tested and whose counsel could be trusted. 🙏 May whatever goodness arises from these readings/offerings be for the benefit of all sentient beings.🔆 These podcasts are not monetized. Working Skillfully with Pain ~ A Guided Meditation ~ Samaneri Jayasara 21.05.2026 28минThis guided meditation offers a gentle and compassionate way of working with pain in practice. Beginning with grounding awareness in the body and the natural rhythm of the breath, it invites you to settle the mind through calm presence and embodied attention. From this foundation, the meditation introduces the Buddhist teaching of the “two arrows” — the understanding that while physical pain may be an unavoidable part of human life, much of our suffering comes from the second arrow: the mind’s resistance, fear, tension, and identification around the experience.Through careful guidance, you are encouraged to explore pain not as an enemy to fight or suppress, but as a changing field of sensation that can be met with wisdom, curiosity, and kindness. The practice helps illuminate the difference between direct physical experience and the layers of mental suffering we unconsciously add to it.🙏 May whatever goodness arises from these readings/offerings be for the benefit of all sentient beings.🔆 These podcasts are not monetized. Yeshe Tsogyal ~ The Dakini Queen 15.05.2026 7минThis is a reading for meditation of three poems written by Yeshe Tsogyal on the nature of the Dharmakaya and her complete realisation. Translations are by Keith Dowman (poem 1) and Tarthang Tulku.Yeshe Tsogyal was an 8th-century Tibetan Buddhist master and the foremost disciple of Padmasambhava. Revered as a fully enlightened Buddha in the Tibetan tradition, she played a central role in preserving and transmitting the teachings of Vajrayana Buddhism in Tibet. Known for her profound wisdom, intense spiritual practice, and realization, she remains one of the most beloved and inspiring female figures in Tibetan Buddhism.Yeshe Tsogyal is celebrated for her extraordinary perseverance and realization. Traditional biographies describe years of intensive retreat, austerities, meditation in remote caves, and encounters with both external hardships and inner psychological challenges. Through these practices, she attained complete enlightenment. She played a crucial role in preserving and transmitting Buddhist teachings in Tibet. Tibetan sources credit her with recording many of Padmasambhava’s teachings and concealing them as “terma” (hidden spiritual treasures) to be rediscovered in later centuries by realized masters known as tertöns. Because of this, she is often seen as one of the foundational figures in Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism.🙏 May whatever goodness arises from these readings/offerings be for the benefit of all sentient beings.🔆 These podcasts are not monetized. Ibn Arabi ~ The Prayer of Protection ~ Hizb Al-Wiqayah 10.05.2026 34минIbn Arabi’s Hizb Al-Wiqayah (The Prayer of Protection), also known as al-Dawr al-A‘la, is a powerful 33-verse Sufi invocation for spiritual safeguarding, divine protection, and elevation. The text can be found in 'A Prayer for Spiritual Elevation and Protection: Al-Dawr al-a'la (Hizb al-Wiqaya)' by Muhyiddin Ibn 'Arabi (Author), Suha Taji-Farouki (Translator).Ibn Arabi’s Prayer of Protection isn’t really about “protection” in the ordinary sense of warding off external harm. Its essence is much deeper and more radical. For Ibn Arabi, "protection" is primarily about maintaining one's spiritual station and protecting the soul from the greatest harm of all: heedlessness (ghafala), or forgetting the Divine.🙏 May whatever goodness arises from these readings/offerings be for the benefit of all sentient beings.🔆 These podcasts are not monetized. Essence of Ribhu Gita ~ Advaita Vedanta 20.04.2026 38минA reading for meditation of selected verses from the 'Essence of Ribhu Gita'. Translated by Professor N.R. Krishnamoorthi Aiyer. The Ribhu Gita is a revered Advaita Vedānta text that teaches the direct realization of the Self as pure, indivisible awareness. It is presented as a dialogue between the sage Ribhu and his devoted disciple Nidagha. The teaching is uncompromisingly non-dual, declaring that the Self alone exists and that all apparent multiplicity is merely a superimposition upon that reality. The text is famous for its radical simplicity and repetition, repeatedly affirming the truth that Brahman alone is real and identical with the Self. The Ribhu Gita has been especially cherished in the tradition of Ramana Maharshi, who often recommended its study. Portions of the text were translated into Tamil by Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi, and it became an important scripture for many non-dual practitioners.Music: Meditative Mind🙏 May whatever goodness arises from these readings/offerings be for the benefit of all sentient beings.🔆 These podcasts are not monetized. Peace Pilgrim ~ The Power of a Quiet Loving Life 23.03.2026 13минA reading for contemplation of some of Peace Pilgrim's reflections taken from the text, 'Peace Pilgrim, Her Life and Work in her Own Words.'Peace Pilgrim was born Mildred Lisette Norman in 1908 in New Jersey, USA. She lived a fairly conventional life early on—interested in writing and social issues—but went through a deep personal crisis during the years surrounding World War II.That period profoundly shook her. She saw the devastation caused by human greed, fear, and division—and began to question not just society, but herself. She eventually came to a simple but radical conclusion:𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐧𝐨 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐬.On January 1, 1953, she set out on what she called a “pilgrimage for peace.” She took a vow to remain homeless by choice, own only what she could carry, walk across the United States, and speak with anyone willing to listen about peace. She said she would continue walking “until mankind learns the way of peace.”She walked over 25,000 miles (40,000+ km) across America, often along highways, in all weather, with no money. She relied entirely on food offered by strangers, places to sleep given freely, and trust in human kindnessBefore beginning her walk, she described undergoing a 15-year period of intense inner work—what she called her “preparation.” During that time, she simplified her life, let go of material attachments, faced her fears, ego, and conditioning, and cultivated love, humility, and trust. She eventually experienced what she described as a state of inner peace that did not depend on circumstances._______________________________🙏 May whatever goodness arises from these readings/offerings be for the benefit of all sentient beings.❤️ A sincere thank you to all listeners and donors for your appreciative comments and offerings of generosity in support of this channel and its intention.Every day I am deeply touched by your warm support and kind messages of gratitude. -

Renowned as a scholar, poet, and realized yogi, he spent his life preserving and transmitting the profound teachings of Dzogchen and the treasure traditions (terma).Dudjom Rinpoche’s writings and teachings emphasize the direct recognition of the nature of mind—pure awareness that is naturally free, luminous, and ever-present. With remarkable clarity, he pointed practitioners beyond conceptual elaboration toward immediate realization, often expressing that liberation is not something newly created but the unveiling of what has always been present.Through his compassionate guidance, literary works, and spiritual presence, Dudjom Rinpoche inspired countless practitioners to recognize the innate purity and awakened nature of their own mind.
